Heart to Heart 45: The Beauty Underneath
Participants: Spyro and Dunban
Location: Zaldania Falls
Affinity: Lavender
Introduction
Spyro: And here I thought Twilight Falls was the height of natural beauty! They've got nothing on this place!
Dunban: Ether's comforting glow can do that.
Spyro: I'll never be able to look at the old place the same way again. Well... okay, that's honestly not true.
Pass/Pass
Dunban: It sounds like this place has significance to you.
Spyro: It was the first place I'd actually seen the world after three years sealed away.
Dunban: Sealed away?
Spyro: That's a story unto itself for another time. But in that moment, I realized exactly what I was fighting for.
Dunban: The beauty of the world at large?
Spyro: That and... something else...
Dunban: (Puts it together) That's when you first really saw Cynder, wasn't it?
Spyro: (Blushing, or whatever the dragon equivalent is) It's that obvious, eh?
Dunban: Ah, young love.
Spyro: Can we please keep this between us though? I'm... still not comfortable telling her yet.
Dunban: My lips are sealed.

Spyro: That and... something else...
Dunban: I think I can see it. You saw Cynder, didn't you? With the glistening waterfall reflecting against her scales and the moonlight in her eyes...
Spyro: Dude, quiet! She might hear you!
Dunban: What's wrong with that?
Spyro: One, she'll think you're hitting on her. And two, I haven't told her about it yet. Can we please keep this between us, at least for now?
Dunban: Sure. For now...
Spyro: Thanks.

Fail/Pass
Dunban: Well, having not seen this "Twilight Falls", I wouldn't say that. Besides, it sounds quite special to you.
Spyro: You can say that again.
Dunban: If I may inquire...
Spyro: No worries, Dunban. You can ask.
Dunban: So, what is it about this place?
Spyro: Helps that it's the first place that Cynder and I saw upon exiting the old Catacombs. Yeah, that's a story for another day. It was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen.
Dunban: (Picking up on something else) That's not all... is it?
Spyro: You're a smart guy, Dunban. You've probably figured it out. So, can we just keep it between ourselves?
Dunban: Sure..

Dunban: I'm guessing the sight wasn't the Falls.
Spyro: Do you have to be so obvious about it?
Dunban: I'm not the one being obvious.
Spyro: Can we keep it between us regardless?
Dunban: You've got to tell her eventually. But for now, we will.
Spyro: Thanks...

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. Just a nice simple chat. If the title doesn't make much sense, that's just because I thought it sounded nice. So how does Cynder interact with the Hero of Sword Valley deep in this marsh? Tune in next time to find out! Same time.. same channel!
