Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we have Cynder and Riki for their first conversation in a really long time. So, what do they have to talk about? Read on to discover...
Heart to Heart 54: Curious Designs
Participants: Cynder and Riki
Location: Pollen Works
Affinity: Green
Introduction
Riki: This Frontier Village's famous Pollen Works!
Cynder: So this is where the light source of your village is made.
Riki: More than light! Some are edible!
Pass/Pass
Cynder: Edible?
Riki: Yes! Yellow and Blue Orbs safe to eat.
Cynder: Huh, didn't see that one coming.
Riki: Most Hom-Hom and Bird People surprised to learn that.
Cynder: Certainly caught me off guard.
Riki: Cynder want to try one?
Cynder: I don't see why not. So long as they're pretty good.
Riki: Riki recommend Blue one. Nice nutty flavor.
Cynder: Thanks. (Takes a bite of one) Hmmm... not bad, actually. I could get used to carrying a stock of these.
Riki: Trust Riki, not advised. Blue ones very expensive. Yellow cheaper, but not as good.
Cynder: Thanks for the intel, Riki.

Pass/Fail
Cynder: Edible?
Riki: Yes! Yellow and Blue Orbs safe to eat.
Cynder: Huh, didn't see that one coming.
Riki: Most Hom-Hom and Bird People surprised to learn that.
Cynder: Certainly caught me off guard.
Riki: Cynder want to try one?
Cynder: Maybe later, Riki. I just ate lunch and I'm still kind of full.
Riki: Riki understand. Riki save a Blue one for Cynder for later.
Cynder: Blue one? I thought Yellow was the standard.
Riki: Blue ones taste better, at least to Riki.
Cynder: Good to know.

Fail/Pass
Cynder: Wait a second, you eat your light and heat source?
Riki: Not all Pollen used for lighting. Some made for food!
Cynder: Huh. That's a little bizarre.
Riki: Cynder not knock it, until Cynder tries it.
Cynder: Good point, Riki. I really should give it a shot before calling it weird. Any you recommend?
Riki: Blue ones taste best, but Yellow do in a pinch.
Cynder: What about the red ones?
Riki: Red ones give Riki stomachache. Avoid at all costs.
Cynder: Isn't there a black market for the red ones?
Riki: Yes. Though Riki not understand why.
Cynder: Me neither.

Fail/Fail
Cynder: Wait a second, you eat your light and heat source?
Riki: Not all Pollen used for lighting. Some made for food!
Cynder: Huh. That's a little bizarre.
Riki: Cynder not knock it, until Cynder tries it.
Cynder: Still sounds like eating coal to me.
Riki: Yellow and Blue ones perfectly safe to eat!
Cynder: I don't doubt they're safe for consumption, but it still sounds weird to me.
Riki: Riki confused. Eating Pollen Orbs at least semi-normal here.
Cynder: I come from a world where light sources are almost completely inedible. The sole exception probably being fireflies. That's why it's weird to here that some of these things are edible.
Riki: Oh, Riki get it now!
Cynder: Though I still might give it a try later.
Riki: Joy! Riki highly recommend Blue ones. Nice nutty flavor.
Cynder: Got it. If I get a chance before we head out, I'll give one a shot.

And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. A rather short chapter, but still something interesting to give Riki some words in this thing for the first time in a long time. So, who's next to chat in Frontier Village? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
