Isaac and Rodney climbed aboard her ship to begin inspection.

"Quite an interesting design. Your ship, that is." Isaac spoke, unsure of how he should be handling a Royal.

"I mentioned that to Nelson, my sister. She seems to think that you should always face your enemy head on and destroy them with elegance. I honestly dont agree but seeings how we had the best firepower in the Royal arsenal for quite some time, I figured there must be some truth to it." Rodney pondered aloud. Isaac pulled out his journal.

"Do you mind me making notes?" Isaac asked politely.

"So long as they have a purpose. If I catch you trying to do something indecent, I'll get very upset." Rodney huffed. It was quite clear that her gentle temperment and kind soul rarely allowed her to get truly angry.

"Don't worry, Rodney. I have no intentions of doing anything like that. I'm just seeing what I'm working with and what we can do, with your express permission, to make us more successful. It is not a lie to say that we are starting a one man war against the sirens. And by god, it'll be a slugfest. So we need every advantage we can get if we are to not only survive, but win." Isaac spoke as he began jotting notes.

× Triple 16 inch rifles in three forward mounted turrets. Possible superheavy shell modification. Limited firing angle for rearmost turret. 17-20 degree angle for effective broadside while angling hull. New camo needed for pacific combat. ×

Isaac closed his journal.

"Can we go to the bridge? Equipment will be my next item of importance." Isaac stated.

"Of course, commander." Rodney replied as she led the way.

"As I thought." Isaac thought aloud as Rodney ushered him onto the bridge.

"What's that?" Rodney asked.

"The screens that corresponded with Omaha's sonar are absent here. Your hull was never built with Sonar. But it looks like your radar is more advanced than that of Omaha's." Isaac spoke freely.

"Yes. I was never outfitted with sonar. The cruisers would spot submarines and our destroyers would depth charge them to high heaven. But my radar was powerful enough to hunt the legendary bismarck through the notorious fog of the atlantic. So keep that in mind, yankee." Rodney said in a cutesy voice.

"Now that was a bit rude." Isaac muttered as he took notes.

× No sonar onboard. Radar able to penetrate atlantic fog and positively identify ships, allowing for precision fire control. Tight quarters on the bridge, may not be ideal for a flagship. She doesnt seem fond of me anyway. ×

Isaac put his journal down.

"Alright, Rodney. Now the bad stuff. What do we have in terms of necessary repairs? This ship is built from your standard blueprints. Identical to the way you were sent out to sea the day you launched." Isaac asked.

"Lets see. Leaky rivets between bulkheads 9 and 16. Not enough structural support in the midships area. Rudder needs a complete overhaul because it almost ruined my chances of catching bismarck. And more pumps needed near the torpedo tubes. Never really knew why but the tubes would always drop buckets of water when they went to reload." Rodney spoke as Isaac wrote it all down.

"Jeez. Thats quite a bit. It'll take me all night just to get the rivets redone." Isaac said as he rubbed his head.

"Commander, i believe the green cat is hailing us on the radio." Rodney said.

"Akashi? Is something wrong?" Isaac asked.

"No, nyaa. Akashi found some more cubes in the next warehouse. Akashi finally managed to break the lock, nyaa. They only took a few minutes but Akashi now has bulins to help with repairs, nyaa." Akashi spoke.

"The hell are bulins?" Isaac asked.

"Ship workers that are really good at getting a lot of work done in a short time. They may be of great use to you." Rodney spoke as she walked off the bridge, prompting Isaac to follow. On the dock, a few heads of white hair could be seen. Isaac and Rodney both went to investigate.

"Bulin? What can we do for you, Shikikan?" One of the small, white haired, girls asked.

"You are the bulins, correct?" Isaac asked.

"Bulin!" They all chanted excitedly.

"I guess that's a yes. Okay." Isaac said as he showed the bulins his notes.

"I need all that maintainence work done as soon as you can. If you need another set of hands, call me." Isaac spoke. The bulins nodded and looked at Rodney.

"Go with them so they can do what they need to do." Isaac said as Rodney nodded.

"Of course. See you later, commander." Rodney spoke as she waved him off.

"Okay. So now we have those girls running around. Hopefully we have enough food to last until we can liberate Sakura. It's not like we can just magically find seeds to grow food here." Isaac laughed at his ridiculous statement.

"Shikikan!" Akashi yelled from the warehouse.

"What's up, Akashi?" Isaac asked as he walked over, binding his journal.

"Next ship is being prepared. Have Rodney-san pull her ship from dry dock, nyaa." Akashi said. Isaac picked up a reciever on the desk that lead to a PA system.

"HMS Rodney. Please prepare for the flooding of the dry dock. Manuver into one of the large berths to continue repairs." Isaac spoke as he pushed a series of buttons on a panel, linked to the dry dock. Slowly the doors opened and water rushed in, lifting the Rodney from the supports and allowing her to float out into the harbor.

"What ship are we building now?" Isaac asked.

"Aircraft Carrier, nyaa. Air support and scouting will be crucial to Shikikan's success." Akashi said.

"12 hours huh? Looks like it'll be ready by morning. I'm gonna get some sleep. Please make sure the girls are adequately fed with something other than rations. Rice and canned soup should be good enough for tonight. Maybe I'll take a net on our next maintainence run and catch some fish." Isaac thought aloud.

"Okay, Shikikan. Rest well." Akashi yelled after him as he walked towards the dorms.

× Battleship Rodney joined the fleet. Her 16 inch guns will definately pack a punch. Coupled with Omaha's sonar, we'll spot threats way before they spot us. Unless they're submarines. Do you think the water protected any submerged subs from the siren's weapon? I guess we'll find out if anything pops up on sonar. ×

September 3rd, 1945

× Today I meet an aircraft carrier. I'm excited because from what I heard from the boys coming home from Azur Lane, these girls dont need live aircraft, they can project them through sheer force of will. That will be a sight to see. × Isaac yawned as he wrote in his journal.

"I wonder who I'll meet today." Isaac asked the not so empty room. Rodney and Omaha stirred in the cots next to his.

"Shit! When did they get here?" Isaac thought to himself as he quietly left the dorms.

He walked down to the warehouse where an Aircraft Carrier sat in drydock.

"Wait... this looks like a battleship hull. A conversion aircraft carrier? Cool. I'm not one to complain." Isaac said as a woman walked over to him.

"I'd hope not. After all, its my ship, commander." The girl said.

"Ah. I see. And who may you be?" Isaac asked.

"HMS Eagle, reporting. My Spitfires and Albacores will send our enemies to the bottom." Eagle said proudly.

"Hmm. The last commander in charge had good taste in his defense fleet. Strong aircraft with quick turnaround times on the flight deck." Isaac said. He turned to face her for the first time. Before him was a woman wearing a tight topped white, red, and black dress that had deep cuts up to her upper thighs from the end of the dress. Her rigging consisted of two flight decks and parts of her hull in the shape of an eagles wings. She was well built and had short platinum hair to round out her look.

"My name is Isaac Garner. It is a pleasure to meet you, Eagle." Isaac said as he extended his hand, which she gladly took.

"The pleasure is all mine, Commander." Eagle said as they looked up at her ship.
