Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today we start our one character from the game proper to have a conversation in the High Entia Tomb. And of course, it's the person facing their trials here, Melia. So how does the queen react with our favorite purple dragon? Read on to discover...
Heart to Heart 70: Birthright
Participants: Spyro and Melia
Location: Valley of Emperors
Affinity: Lavender
Pre-requisite: High Entia Tomb events must be completed
Introduction
Spyro: (Bows in respect) Congratulations, Your Highness.
Melia: Please, Spyro, the formalities are unnecessary.
Spyro: You'll forgive me, it's an instinct when around royals, especially when they've just claimed their birthright.
Melia: Then as of the last few months, that applies to both of us.
Spyro: Huh?
Pass/Pass
Melia: Wasn't saving the world your birthright?
Spyro: Well... I... don't really know how to answer that. I mean... there was a prophecy. I've never read it, but I trust Ignitus when he said there was one.
Melia: You seem unsure of this.
Spyro: It's a little strange to consider being the subject of a prophecy a "birthright".
Melia: Thinking back on it, I can see your point. It may not have been your specific birthright, but you fit the bill.
Spyro: I mean, I can see where you're coming from, to a point. (Thinks back) This has been a pretty odd train of thought.
Melia: To be honest, I agree.

Pass/Fail

Melia: You seem unsure of this.
Spyro: It's a little strange to consider being the subject of a prophecy a "birthright".
Melia: Why not? If you fit the descriptor of the prophecy, are you not supposed to accomplish it?
Spyro: What if there's multiple people who fit that description? Is it still my birthright specifically?
Melia: That... is actually a good point.
Spyro: Still was an interesting discussion, to a point.
Melia: I'll agree with you on that.

Fail/Pass
Melia: You know, your whole saving the world thing? Weren't you literally born to do that?
Spyro: The Purple Dragon Prophecy you mean? I mean, Malefor fit that description as well, and he went on to try and destroy the world, rather than save it.
Melia: Interesting.
Spyro: Though I guess the prophecy was written to say we'd "guide the fate of our era".
Melia: I guess that holds up. Nobody ever said that automatically meant doing so peacefully.
Spyro: But still, that doesn't really answer your question. Per Ignitus, I was apparently "nature's way of balancing itself". Maybe it was a birthright in that way.
Melia: I can see that being the case.
Spyro: It's still a tad strange, if I'm being honest.

Melia: Well still, you did that. You steered your era to one of peace.
Spyro: At least as far as we can tell. I haven't honestly been back home to tell if there was any change.
Melia: I'm sure it worked out. You fulfilled what you were put on your world to do.
Spyro: I guess so.

And that looks like a good space to stop for today. Yes, this one kind of meandered a bit. I was really trying to figure out the whole "birthright" thing between these two. So, anyways, next time we wrap up the High Entia Tomb with the next discussion between Cynder and Melia. So what do these two have to discuss next time? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
