Hey all. Well, it's time again for another chapter. I know it's been longer than normal. I've had my hands full. In addition to still dealing with my mom's death, plus the holiday months, a friend of mine also took his own life, and we've really been going through a lot here. That said, I'm finally at a place where I can devote some time to this again. And as you all remember, thins were about to get heated. The Ghidorah heads are losing patience with each other, Kevin is at death's door, Anguirus is dead, Godzilla is mad, and apparently attacked his own son. Now, it's time for the ultimate battle to finally commence. Let's jump right in!

Chapter 19

GODZILLA VS. KING GHIDORAH

The gigantic plated axe slammed into the trunk of a massive tree, making it collapse. The mighty Kong whistled as he gathered the lumber, and added it to his already massive pile. He was just about to start on another tree, when he noticed Godzilla stomping by. "Hey pal," he called in a friendly tone.

Godzilla glanced his way, and simply snorted before moving on. Kong chuckled. "Ah, strong silent type today, huh? No problem pal." He swung, knocking down another tree. He added it to the pile, then easily lifted the entire load with one arm, and walked alongside Godzilla. "I can talk for the both of us."

Godzilla growled. "Back off, you dumb ape. I'm not in the mood for you today."

"Whoa," exclaimed Kong. "What bug crawled up your butt this time? Megaguirus again?" Godzilla simply growled, hoping Kong would take the hint and buzz off.

"I see, I see," said Kong. "Mood's that bad? Ok, I got just what you need. The wife and kid are away, visiting friends back on Skull Island. So, what say we go hang out at my cave. I just rented the Fay Wray Goes Wild collection, and brother, there ain't nothing hotter than that. If that don't make you happy, nothing will!"

"I've got far more important things to do than waste me time with an idiot like you," hissed Godzilla, before adding, "...besides, I'm really more of a Kumi Mizuno type of guy..."

"Ah, I do love me some Kumi. I can definitely understand that." Godzilla just picked up the pace, trying to lose Kong. Of course, Kong followed suit. "So, what's got you so pissed that porn won't even cheer you up?"

"None of your business!"

"Well, if you don't wanna tell me, you could always talk to that pal of yours...what is his name? Angillas? Anguinas? Aunt Girrus?"

Before he could finish, Godzilla's tail slammed hard into Kong's head, knocking him flat on his back, and making him drop all the trees and his axe. Kong tried to sit up, but Godzilla stomped his foot down on his chest, pinning him in place. "ANGUIRUS IS DEAD, YOU STUPID MONKEY! HE'S DEAD! DON'T TALK ABOUT HIM!"

Kong stared up at Godzilla in shock. Godzilla sighed, and removed his foot from Kong's chest, walking away. "King Ghidorah murdered him to get to me. Do you understand that Kong? My best friend is dead because of me."

"Look pal," said Kong, sitting back up. "I get it. And I'm sorry. I really am. There's very little harder in life than what you're going through. So, I take it you're on your way to exact some payback?"

"Maybe," said Godzilla. "Ghidorah invited me to settle this once and for all. I'm gonna do just that."

"So, you're gonna walk right into an obvious trap? You're emotional, pal. You're gonna make mistakes."

"I'll make no mistakes. I'll send all three of his heads to hell where they belong."

Kong rolled his eyes. "Yeah, that attitude isn't gonna get you killed?"

Godzilla spun around. "What do you care Kong!? We're not even friends! So leave me alone? If I win, Ghidorah's gone for good. If he wins, you have a shot at getting your King title again."

"You think I care about some crummy title? I never even called myself King Kong, the humans came up with that. Being king honestly sounds like too much work. Frankly, I was thrilled when you came along with your King of the Monsters title. Took a ton of pressure off me. Look, if you don't wanna be pals, whatever. But, at least hear me out before you go getting your stubborn head knocked off.

Godzilla's spines lit up. He was getting sick of this.

"We gotta call this off," insisted King, as the three-headed Kaiju waited at the bottom of Fog Island. "Kevin is dying!" Indeed, Kevin was struggling to breath, and couldn't muster enough strength to laugh, giggle, or annoy them like he usually would.

"Do you think I care about Kevin," asked Ghidorah.

"You should, he's part of us!"

"Both of you are simply extra appendages. Nothing more." King glared.

"King Ghidorah," called an angry voice. The two heads looked, and saw Godzilla stomping their way. His claws and fangs were covered in blood. "Sorry I'm late," he said. "I had to kill an ape that wouldn't get out of my way."

Ghidorah smiled. "Excellent," he whispered to King. "The fool already used up energy fighting Kong."

"This will be the last time we meet," continued Godzilla. "You're going to die for what you did to Angy."

Ghidorah laughed. "Did you know, Godzilla, that before he died, we told him your little secret?"

"What are you talking about?"

"About his parents. Surely you remember killing them?"

Godzilla's eyes widened in horror. "No! You wouldn't!"

"Of course we did! And we got to witness his final words. He died, cursing the creature he'd thought was his friend." Godzilla's anger was uncontrollable. He unleashed the most powerful blast of spiral heat ray he'd ever used. IT surely would obliterate any living creature in one hit. Unfortunately, his focus was way off, and his sloppy aim made it insanely easy to dodge. Before he could attack again, King Ghidorah slammed all his weight on top of the King of Monsters, bringing him down hard.

Godzilla groaned, but wasn't about to give up, he launched a normal burst of nuclear breath, hitting all three heads, and knocking the beast off. Both monsters recovered to their feet quickly.

"All Dorats, attack," ordered Ghidorah.

"All of them," gasped King. In response, thousands of Dorat soldiers swarmed Godzilla, biting and scratching at him. It was more annoying than anything. Godzilla unleashed a nuclear pulse, instantly killing every last one of them.

"First Goldorat, now all our Dorats," gasped King. "Are you insane!?"

"No," said Ghidorah. "Just getting Godzilla to use up as much energy as possible. Shouldn't be hard, since he already fought Kong."

However, Ghidorah underestimated Godzilla's power levels. Godzilla lunged forward, and plunged his claws into Ghidorah's chest, ripping a missive hole through it. All three heads screamed in agony, as Godzilla shot his breath attack onto the fresh wound.

"We can't hold out like this," said King. "We gotta retreat!"

"No," said Ghidorah. King glanced over at Kevin, whose eyes were beginning to lose light.

"Ghidorah! You're getting us all killed! Stop!"

Godzilla gripped both heads by the throats, and squeezed as hard as he could. "Nobody is retreating. The only place you three are going is hell!"

"Is...that all...you got...," managed Ghidorah. "Think...of your...pathetic...friend...he cried...and begged us...to spare him...is this all the anger...you can manage?" Godzilla screamed in absolute rage, and lifted up and slammed King Ghidorah so hard into Fog Mountain, the entire mountain actually collapsed and buried both Kaiju alive.

Godzilla unleashed a nuclear pulse, obliterating the rocks burying him. "COME OUT AND FACE ME, BASTARD! LET'S END THIS!"

Suddenly, more rocks exploded, and King Ghidorah emerged. But something was different. All three heads were suddenly fully active, and their eyes were all blood red. "I'd say you've used up enough energy," said all three heads in Ghidorah's voice.

Godzilla stepped back, shocked by what was happening. The three heads grinned. "Now, I'll finish you properly!" The heads opened their mouths, and massive burst of lightning flew out, slamming into Godzilla, and actually digging into his flesh. He cried out in pain, and collapsed. Then the wind picked up. The weather had cleared up before, but now the sky was full of low hanging clouds. Within seconds, the island was being torn apart by massive tornadoes and hurricanes striking from all sides. Ghidorah was somehow controlling the weather. It was like witnessing the power of a god. King Ghidorah shot massive bursts of electricity from all three heads, as well as the multiple tips of his wings, up into the sky. Lightning began striking the ground everywhere. Godzilla was hit multiple times, and each blast burst several blood cells within him. Godzilla began coughing up blood, and he began to realize that Kong had been right. This was a fight he couldn't win. It had been a trap.

All three heads howled with laughter. "Goodbye, Godzilla. It's been fun." They began charging up more lightning. "Tell Anguirus we said hello."

And just as they were about to fire, a massive axe suddenly struck them in the back. Ghidorah let out an anguished cry, and lost his control of the other two heads. The three-headed monster collapsed, and the violent storm that had been attacking the island vanished.

Ghidorah looked up to see Kong standing over them, holding his axe triumphantly. "Sorry pal," said Kong. "I know sneak attacks are pretty much unfair, but honestly you've been pulling all kinds of unfair crap for a long time, so, I think this is worth it."

Godzilla stood. "Kong warned me of your trap, Ghidorah, and managed to talk me into setting one of our own. Kong and I didn't fight at all. I was at full power when our fight began. You only thought you were draining me."

"No," said Ghidorah. "My plan!"

"Yep," said Kong. "You're fresh outta luck!"

Ghidorah was about to attack, but King suddenly lunged out, sinking his teeth into Ghidorah's throat. King sent electricity into the wound, and Ghidorah screamed.

King let go, and immediately began to vomit. Once the attack had calmed down, he looked at Ghidorah. "You son of a...", he managed before he began to cough up blood.

"Cry me a river, King," said Ghidorah. "We'll finish this battle, and then I'll deal with you."

"KEVIN IS DEAD!" Ghidorah looked, and sure enough, Kevin's head was motionless. King got right in Ghidorah's face. "HE WAS OUR BROTHER! MAYBE THAT MEANT LITTLE TO YOU, BUT...YOU KILLED MY BROTHER!" King lunged forward again, but Ghidorah ducked the attack, and sunk his own teeth into King, striking his jugular vein. The blow was fatal, and King sunk down helplessly, as he began to bleed to death.

"This is perfect," said Ghidorah, sneering at Godzilla and Kong who had been watching the drama awkwardly. "Once King joins Kevin, I'll have full control of our body permanently. And nothing will be able to stop me!"

"Sounds to me like we should finish you off now then," said Kong, raising his axe to strike.

"I don't think so," said Ghidorah, blasting Kong in the face with the most powerful blast of lightning he could muster. Kong took the blast, and smiled.

"You don't know much about Kaiju that aren't you, huh? Cause if you did, you'd know I have this weird thing with electricity making me stronger." Kong then released all the new electric power into his axe. It was now glowing very brightly. "Time to die, pal."

"Kong," said Godzilla. "Please...let me. For Angy."

Kong smiled. "Sure, pal."

Godzilla took the axe. "Ghidorah, I should have never let you get away the many times we fought before."

"No," said Ghidorah, unable to get up until he had full control of the body. "NO NO NO!"

Godzilla breathed a powerful blast of spiral heat energy onto the axe. The glow was now so bright, it could be seen all the way in Tokyo. "And I won't make that mistake here." He raised the axe, and as Ghidorah begged for mercy, Godzilla brought it down hard onto the chest wound he'd given Ghidorah earlier. A massive explosion erupted as all the energy in the axe burst forth, obliterating all of Ghidorah's vital organs and burning his gold flesh completely black. Ghidorah screamed, and a geyser of blood erupted from his mouth. The attack was so powerful, both Godzilla and Kong were sent flying back.

The dust settled, and King Ghidorah lay there, the axe still sticking in his chest. Ghidorah tried to take a breath, but only choked, as his lungs were useless now. He glanced over at King, who was grinning at him. "See you...in hell..." And with that, both heads died together. King Ghidorah was no more.

"Interesting," said SpaceGodzilla, looking at his special tele-crystal that allowed him to view other monsters across the island.

"What is it," asked Hedorah.

"King Ghidorah is dead. That's one less obstacle for us to deal with."

"And I've got good news too," said Destoroyah. "Our plan is coming along nicely. Look who's back."

They looked to see Godzilla walk in, carrying Minya by the throat. "I got the brat, my master," he said, tossing Minya onto the ground at Destoroyah's feet.

"Excellent work, my beautiful creation." As he said this, the Godzilla suddenly transformed back to its true MechaGodzilla form.

Minya gasped, and got to his feet. He backed up, bumping into SpaceGodzilla. He looked at the monster in fear. "Uncle? My dad says you're bad."

"Guess your dad isn't as dumb as he looks then."

Minya swallowed, and began to cry. "What are you going to do to me."

SpaceGodzilla laughed, as did Hedorah and Destoroyah. "Something bad."
