Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we wrap up our chats in the High Entia Tomb, with Cynder and Melia having another chat. So, what's on the docket this time? Read on to discover...
Heart to Heart 71: What Comes Next?
Participants: Cynder and Melia
Location: Hall of Trials
Affinity: Pink
Prerequisite: Mechonis Core Events
Introduction
Cynder: So, it's over? The Mechonis are done for?
Melia: It seems that way. Now all that's left is to rebuild the world.
Cynder: We'll be there as long as we're able.
Melia: (With something off in her voice) I really appreciate that, Cynder.
Cynder: Is everything okay, Melia?
Pass/Pass
Melia: Just worried about something insignificant.
Cynder: Melia, we've been fighting together for who knows how long now? We've gotten to know each other pretty well I'd think.
Melia: And that has what bearing on this conversation?
Cynder: You can tell when I'm lying, and I can tell when you are too.
Melia: I guess there's no hiding anything from you.
Cynder: So what's going on?
Melia: I guess I'm just worried about what comes next for us. The High Entia are scattered to the winds, our capital is in ruins. How am I supposed to deal with this?
Cynder: Hear me out here, Melia. You were chosen to lead your people for a reason. You wouldn't have gotten this far if your predecessor didn't see something special in you. If there's anyone who can bring the High Entia back to what they used to be, it's you. Don't lose faith in yourself, not now, not ever, but especially not when people are depending on you. If it helps, know this. Spyro, Shulk, and all the rest of us will have your back all the way, no matter what world we're on.
Melia: (Brushing a tear from her face) Thanks, Cynder. I honestly needed to hear that.

Pass/Fail
Melia: Just worrying about something insignificant.
Cynder: Melia, we've been fighting together for who knows how long now? We've gotten to know each other pretty well I'd think.
Melia: And that has what bearing on this conversation?
Cynder: You can tell when I'm lying, and I can tell when you are too.
Melia: I think your internal lie detector needs to be re-tuned in that case.
Cynder: (Realizing she's just not going to say anything) Maybe you're right. But you know you can come to me with anything, right?
Melia: Of course. And you know I would.
Cynder: Then why aren't you now?

Fail/Pass
Melia: It's nothing really.
Cynder: Melia, you know I can tell when you're lying, right? We've only known each other probably two years now.
Melia: I guess there's no hiding it. I'm just unsure of my abilities in the wake of everything that's happened.
Cynder: That's what it is?
Melia: Yes.
Cynder: You can put those fears straight to rest. I know your predecessor wouldn't have chosen you if they didn't believe in you. If anyone can pull High Entia civilization back together, it's you.
Melia: (Sighs) Thanks for the confidence boost.
Cynder: Any time.

Fail/Fail
Melia: It's nothing really.
Cynder: Melia, you know I can tell when you're lying, right? We've only known each other probably two years now.
Melia: I'm telling you, it's nothing.
Cynder: I'm betting your mother didn't teach you to lie. That's why you're so bad at it. But... I'll respect it for now. Maybe you're right. I might've just misheard something.
Melia: Yeah, probably.
Cynder: Don't think for a minute I'm letting this go. We will discuss this later.
