Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we start a new location as we near the end of the series. Today, we're starting a major peak to the series, literally, as we arrive on Valak Mountain. As usual, Spyro and Cynder will start us off. So let's not waste a moment! Here we go!
Heart to Heart 72: Do You Love Me?

Spyro: (Looking into Cynder's eyes rather than the horizon) It certainly is...
Cynder: (Noticing something in Spyro's voice) Spyro?
Spyro: (Averting his gaze back to the horizon) Yes?
Cynder: Are you okay?

Spyro: Why do you ask?
Cynder: I've noticed you've been acting strangely recently.
Spyro: Oh crap. (Sighs) I guess I was a fool to think I could hide it from you forever.
Cynder: Spyro, please tell me. What's going on?
Spyro: How do I say this...? I... I...
Cynder: What is it, Spyro?
Spyro: May as well just say it. Cynder, I'm in love with you. I have been ever since I met the real you. I just never knew how to say it. Or maybe I was more afraid of you rejecting me.
Cynder: Spyro, do you remember what I said to you in the world's core just as you pulled the planet back together?
Spyro: I'm sorry, I still don't.
Cynder: I told you exactly what you told me. I love you.
Spyro: You... you do?
Cynder: I have for a long time.
Spyro: Oh, that's a relief.
Cynder: The feeling's mutual.

Spyro: Oh crap. (Sighs) I guess I was a fool to think I could hide it from you forever.
Cynder: Spyro, please tell me. What's going on?
Spyro: Should I just tell her? Is now the right time? What if she rejects me?
Cynder: Spyro, you're starting to worry me. What's going on?
Spyro: This isn't the moment. I'm... just trying to be friendly.
Cynder: And you thought you had to hide that from me?
Spyro: I guess I did. No idea why.
Cynder: (Realizes he's lying, but tired of being friendly about it) Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to go get some sleep.
Spyro: Okay. See you in the morning.
Cynder: (Whispered to Spyro) I love you.
Spyro: (With a startled look) Oh crap...

Spyro: Perfectly fine, why?
Cynder: You mean you haven't noticed that you've been acting strange?
Spyro: Strange how?
Cynder: Trying to prepare special meals without knowing what's poisonous around here, gathering the local flora, stuff like that.
Spyro: Oh crap, she's seen me doing all of that?!
Cynder: No use hiding anything. What's going on here?
Spyro: (Sighs) No use hiding it. I... I'm in love with you.
Cynder: What?
Spyro: I've loved you since I first met the real you. I just never knew how to say it. I guess I was afraid of your rejection.
Cynder: I'm flattered, but still a tad annoyed that you didn't just tell me.
Spyro: Wait... does that mean...?
Cynder: I mean I do love him, but after all of this? I... don't know.
Spyro: (Heartbroken, but hiding it well) Oh. Okay.

Spyro: Perfectly fine, why?
Cynder: You mean you haven't noticed that you've been acting strange?
Spyro: Strange how?
Cynder: Trying to prepare special meals without knowing what's poisonous around here, gathering the local flora, stuff like that.
Spyro: Oh crap, she's seen me doing all of that?!
Cynder: No use hiding anything. What's going on here?
Spyro: (Acting ticked off to hide his feelings) Does somebody need an excuse to try being nice?!
Cynder: (Suspicious, but feigning shock) Oh... I'm... I'm sorry... I guess I was just being paranoid.
Spyro: Hey, it happens to all of us. I'm sorry for blowing up there.
Cynder: And I'm sorry for being so intrusive.
Spyro: Then all is forgiven.
Cynder: And here I thought he remembered what I said, at last.
Spyro: This isn't the right moment. They all said I'd know it when it came.

And that looks like a good place to end for today. So at last we have Spyro confessing his love for Cynder. About dang time, I say. I had planned to do this at another moment, but I just couldn't wait any longer to put this out there. There's something special when we get to another location. Anyways, back to now.
