This is Part I of the New Year's Special. It's that time again, time to capstone another year of action by updating literally everything we have in progress. And that starts with our one game character here on Valak Mountain: And it's somebody we haven't heard from in a long time: Reyn! So let's not waste a moment! Here we go!

Heart to Heart 73: First Snow

Participants: Spyro and Reyn

Location: La Luz Church

Prerequisite: Only occurs when snowing, and at night

Introduction

Reyn: How can you stand this cold?!

Spyro: Trust me, Reyn. I've been through way worse than this

Reyn: (Shivers) How?! There's literal ice falling from the skies!

Spyro: Wait, Reyn, have you never seen snow before?

Pass/Pass

Reyn: Gee, what gave it away?

Spyro: Huh. I honestly didn't see that coming.

Reyn: It's usually a lot warmer down in Colony 9.

Spyro: You know, I really shouldn't have assumed anything. No idea why I did, I grew up in a swamp, and it took 12 years for me to see snow

Reyn: Seriously?

Spyro: Yeah. Though I guess I got exposed to a lot more of it than just a snowfall.

Reyn: Now how could it be worse than this?

Spyro: Try an entire place frozen in time by a near permanent winter.

Reyn: Seriously?

Spyro: Oh yeah, Dante's Freezer was weird.

Reyn: Suddenly, I don't feel as cold. Thinking about that must've thawed me out.

Reyn: Gee, what gave it away?

Spyro: Huh. I honestly didn't see that coming.

Reyn: I highly doubt that, since you seem to know more about it than I do.

Spyro: Not by much, I can assure you of that, Reyn. And even from where I was, I've never seen snow fall before.

Reyn: So this is a first for both of us?

Spyro: Pretty much. And I for one intend to enjoy it.

Reyn: (Shivers) More power to you, bub.

Spyro: To be honest, in that case, I'm not sure whether I envy you or admire you.

Reyn: Wait what?

Spyro: Let's just say my experiences with snow haven't been exactly the nicest.

Reyn: Okay, now you've got to tell me!

Spyro: Let's just say it involved a giant icebox of an island and a crash landing.

Reyn: Whoa.

Spyro: Yeah, Dante's Freezer was no joke. Nearly broke my spine coming in for a landing. But that's a story for another day.

Spyro: I don't think Melia would be happy if we started a fire in a High Entia church.
