Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we finish off Valak Mountain, as Cynder converses with Reyn yet again. So, what do these two have to say this time? Read on to discover...
Heart to Heart 74: Ghosts of our Past
Participants: Cynder and Reyn
Location: Harict Chapel
Affinity: Green
Introduction
Reyn: You okay, Cynder? You seem a little on edge.
Cynder: (Caught off guard) Huh? Oh, yeah, I guess I am, Reyn.
Reyn: So what's up?
Cynder: I don't know, this place just gives me the creeps.
Pass/Pass
Reyn: Gives you the creeps how?
Cynder: I can't really explain it. It just seems like something is here, looking for me, with malicious intent.
Reyn: Okay what did any of that mean?
Cynder: Well, whatever it is, it just feels like something here wishes me harm.
Reyn: Why would it want to harm you?
Cynder: Let's just say there's a lot in my past that people would want me dead for.
Reyn: Well say no more. Nothing's going to harm you, not while I'm around. Ghost or otherwise.
Cynder: You really mean that?
Reyn: Hell yeah. If somebody from your world is still going wish you harm, just call me over and I'll tell them every heroic thing you've done. And if that doesn't shut them up, well, they can face my Cannon Shield.
Cynder: That's... very sweet of you Reyn.
Reyn: It's the least I can do for a friend.

Pass/Fail
Reyn: Gives you the creeps how?
Cynder: I can't really explain it. It just seems like something is here, looking for me, with malicious intent.
Reyn: Okay what did any of that mean?
Cynder: Well, whatever it is, it just feels like something here wishes me harm.
Reyn: Something tells me you haven't been here long enough to piss of a ghost from Bionis. And if you have, somehow, then I'm out of here. I hate ghosts.
Cynder: I didn't picture you being afraid of ghosts.
Reyn: It's the concept that freaks me out.
Cynder: I'm pretty sure it's not a literal ghost. Probably just a bad memory this place stirred up for some reason.
Reyn: Something tells me it might be best to leave then.
Cynder: Maybe...

Fail/Pass
Reyn: Didn't you say the same thing in the Tomb? And that it felt reassuring?
Cynder: That was different, Reyn. The presence there felt reassuring, but here... it seems like whatever's watching me is more... malicious.
Reyn: Mal-what-now?
Cynder: It feels more threatening, I mean.
Reyn: Well, whatever it is, if it wants to hurt you, it's got to go through me.
Cynder: Really?
Reyn: Hell yeah. You're my friend, I'm not letting some ghost threaten you! Ask anyone, they'll tell you the same thing!
Cynder: That's... very reassuring, Reyn.
Reyn: Hey, it's the least I can do. Considering how many times you've saved all our lives.
Cynder: Thanks, Reyn. Suddenly it doesn't feel as creepy in here.

Cynder: That was different, Reyn. The presence there felt reassuring, but here... it seems like whatever's watching me is more... malicious.
Reyn: Mal-what-now?
Cynder: It feels more threatening, I mean.
Reyn: No offense, but if you've pissed off a ghost, you're on your own. I hate ghosts!
Cynder: Well, Reyn, I don't think there's literally a ghost trying to kill me.
Reyn: That's a relief. I don't really think there was much my Cannon Shield could do against a ghost.
Cynder: Maybe it's just a bad memory, come back to haunt me, for some reason.
Reyn: Well, hey, if you need to talk, you can always seek me out.
Cynder: Thanks Reyn. Remind me to never go somewhere actually haunted with you. Now I know you'd just turn tail and run out the entrance.
