Narrator pow:
"Gentleman, please leave us." Spy said towards two B1 battle droids upon entering the ship's prison segment that ended with a cell guarded by the droids and the orange barrier. "Alone."
"Roger, roger. Commander Koth is also leaving with the second round of land forces by the way." One of the droids said before they walked away towards the entreance doors while Spy walked up to the cell, deactivated the blockade with a single button press and entered the cell, where Aayla Secura blandly sat at the table, her back resting against the wall.
"Lucky for you that our starship prisons have wall right behind the sit. If you were in Republican one, you wouldn't even get a relatively comfourtable sleep while waiting for the rescue team." He began speaking, taking a seat on the other side and giving her a somewhat polite stare.
"And why would you tell me that?" She asked him, rising her head and lowering her left eyebrow to make a doubtful face. "Another attempt from Dooku to corrupt a Jedi into joining the Dark Side?"
"Apparently not, he has just told his master to screw himself." Spy responded with stone glare, making her eyes widen in suprise.
"Oh really?" She asked him back. "And who this Master of his is?"
"Darth Sidious. But you know him as Chancellor Palpatine."
"... You lie."
"Maybe. Or maybe I recognize you as a fellow pawn in a game between Sith Lord and ex-Sith Lord over this part of the galaxy." Spy shrugged her response off, smiling for a barely noticable while. "Lucky for me, that is. Prior to Count's opposition to killing Ventress it was just Sidious playing both sides for a sake of him ending on top by the end."
"So you claim that Separatist were set to fail from the start?" Aayla asked him, getting more and more intrigued over time.
"Indeed." Spy nodded, now actually serious. "For example, first battle of Geonosis. I'm sure you remember that." He continued, swiftly taking out his holographic communicator and placing it on the table, where it began to display long lists of data.
"Wait... That's Republican information we took from their command base back there!" Jedi Master said, recognizing what she was seeing.
"Precisely." Spy added, taking his turn. "You had, like two hundered thousans clones fielded while CIS had four million stock droids models alone. Don't even get me started on vehicles." He said, going on with his agrumentation. "And you want to know the best part? Dooku was told not to use the numerical advantage by Palpatine himself, and he did so because he trust him back then after his betrayal and sticking to his morals, which while weird and unpractical to me, still seems to be above what Jedi Order is today."
"... That makes for a several fair points." Aayla nodded, keeping her composure. "But I still have no trust in your offer. Why should I abandon the Order and join it's enemies? Those who want to destroy it?"
"And when did Dooku specifically said that he wants to kill you all?" Spy asked back, making her move all the way back udner the wall out of shock. "... Never? That's what I thought. Or maybe I should say... Know for a fact."
"And General Grievous? He actually wants to kill all of us."
"Republic sides with the invaders of his home planet when he was younger. So he developed a grudge against the Republic as unjust, opressive institution that condemned his people. And given that he is a military leader, he isn't capable of seeing political option of changing it from the inside." Spy explained patiently, unphased by her questions. "Actually listening and actually talking to others makes wonders, you know? Or maybe you are just another Jedi General brought into the war because Separatist are supposingly threathning the Republic you serve?"
"... Another Jedi?"
"Yes, because almost all of you went into command position of clone army since Sidious told you so-!"
"He didn't."
"Palpatine and Sidious are the same, so he did."
"Oh really? Then what's the difference?"
"Palpatine is the public image, Sidious is pulling the strings whenever he's not observed by people who aren't fully loyal to him."
"... Actually, he didn't seem to be just another greedy politician."
"The Zillo Beast situation, I assume?"
"Yes. From what I seen it was weirdly focused on Chanchellor. Mostly because it recognized him as the one who ultimately caused it's suffering." Aayla catched her head, looking down at the table with remorse. "I could sense that he was wrong. And yet, I acted on his side..."
"Dooku felt the same when he was faced by the Republic's incompetency and politics taking the place above common people. And while his back and forth with industrialists and business groups within the CIS is indeed a pure agony that I unfortunately had to help him with it, since it at least has some hope."
"Let me guess your next words, unlike the Sith Lord controlling the Republic?"
"Exacly! You start to see it, don't you?" Spy asked her, seeing her head rising up again to face him.
"But how do you know all of this?"
"Being a personal favourite of political leader and spending free time on intel gathering has it's upsides. They don't call me a Spy for nothing."
"Right... Yet, I won't be a traitor. Not by my own choice."
"Neither would be Bly and other clone troopers." Spy countered as his device switched into a data taken from clones chip Inhibitors. "But still, they'll become such anyways with no second thoughts. You see the Order 66 thing, right?"
"Yes, I can. It must have been work of Kamioan cloning scientists."
"And on whose behalf would they place those chips into every, single, one clone trooper?"
"... The financier's one."
"And whose money goes onto rising the clone army?"
"Republics... Wait! I see your point!"
"Exacly." Spy clapped his hands, seeing that his work went into the right direction. "Sith are devious by nature as opposed to pure, stoic Jedi like you. Yet, you guys didn't prepare for this scheme at all, right? You just went in to oppose supposed threat that Sith put right in front of you as a distraction."
"And now this supposed threat broke free and acts on it's own?"
"Exacly. You don't even know how terrified Dooku was upon seeing Order 66 inside the chip data when I delievered it to him. He didn't even told Sidious about this. And that's on top of him knowing this war was set to his failure by default."
"And now, Dooku has betrayed his master."
"Because he knew he would be betrayer by him earlier or later. Plus, he was not happy with his demand of killing Ventress and thus he left the Sith entierly."
"And now he plays a third party?"
"Sort of. From all I know he just mixed both light and the dark in his new teachings. Which I don't understand, but know to be a big change from the earlier."
"It explains to me a lot..." Aayla blinkes twice, rethinking all the things said to her. "Master Eeth and Barriss realised that too?"
"To be honest, no." Spy opposed, making her face turn into full suprise. "Eeth was amused by Pyro during their talks via ghost visions and Barriss was just left behind on Geonosis, so we took her under our care and now she is in a happy relationship with Scout after getting back on Luminara for leaving her."
"Mhm, Master Luminara isn't the most attached teacher in The Order, that's the fact... But why should I trust you?"
"Because I personally guaranteed you care after beating you on Pantora, didn't do much damage while interrupting Lok Durd's test of anti-life modified AAT on that pacifistic planet and did most of the work while we were catching Cad Bane." Spy listed, almost recitating his achievements while keeping his pride away from getting into his way. "You seen me, you felt me, you tested me. What is more to be needed?"
"... You are not an anonymous stranger." Aayla nodded, seeing him place her lightsaber on the table.
"I know, renowned military leaders are more famous than average person." Spy responded, playing with his ironical tone. "Now then, what is your conclusion?"
"Go get em' lads!" Demoman shouted, sticky jumping towards the combat as soon as he left his transport shuttle.
"Hey! They send reinforcments!" One of local B1 battledroids cried with happy tone, pointing at the sky covered by Separatist transports.
"Wow, no kidding." Other one added, walking up to him. "So hard focused on the clone offensive?"
"What am I supposed to do? They are wiping us clean!"
"Don't fear." Heavy comforted him, spinning his Brass Beast. "Tiny baby man has no chance against giant gun." He added, pointing behind himself at the endless hordes of Hailfire droids rushing towards the combat zone.
"BLU Team! Thank you for arrival!" A short Sullustan in military attire said towards them, running up to the disembarking mercenaries. "We are being overwhelmed in here!"
"No need to worry pal! Watch a natural born winners in action!" Scout laughed, looking aside at some OG-9 homing spider droids. "Also, may I take this group with me? I have a brilliant plan."
"Of course! All local forces are to your disposal for the duration of the battle."
"Sweet."
"Mhhhmphhh!" Pyro let out a muffled shout before using his Thermal Thruster to get straight into the lines of incoming clone troopers, following his incursion by taking out his Backburner and spinning all over the place while delievering critical hits here and there.
"You heard him! Bring in the flamthrowers!" One of B1 battle droids in commander rank shouted, waving his hand for two wide lines of his modified B2's, whose rocket wrists were replaced by burning ones.
"Just like they did to Geonosians!" One of B2 droids yelled, leading the charge of fire-fighting droids straight at their cookable equivalents in white armor who began to either flee or burn alive to their imminent deaths.
"Hmm... Why did Engineer do this?" Heavy asked, observing the battlefield from the safe distance.
"Poggle the Lesser told Demoman, Demo told Engie he told me." Eeth Koth responded, reloading his borrowed Sidney Sleeper. "And while I'm not a fan of scorched earth policy, I can't deny the effectiveness it has against others. So much that I wanted to see it in action at the last moment."
"Either way, we win. Is good." Heavy nodded, looking back at their J-1 proton cannons laid devastation at Republican backlines. "Wait, aren't these anti-air cannons?"
"If it can destroy a starfighter and fend off a starship, then it can destroy a clone squad and fend off a land vehicle, it's called adaptability." Eeth added, before pressing the trigger and firing his shot. "Boom, headshot."
"... Ah, yes. Hailfire droids are opening the flank with Soldier and Demo." Heavy corrected himself after a short while of deep thinking. "Let's keep our section fo the front safe then."
"Move! Schnell! Go get them!" Medic shouted, activating his Kritzkrieg Ubercharge on one of his Droiderkas, causing a severe blaster damage to lines of baffled and eventually dead clone troopers.
"Pfah! How did he even figured that out?" Demo asked, looking at them from safe distance while eliminating any missed target with the Iron Bomber.
"Quite ingenious really." Soldier responded, blasting a shotgun shell right into a chest of initially missed clone platoon commander. "He and Engineer do a whole lot of work when we are busy."
"Aye, can notice..." Demo nodded, then looking to his side as a whole horde of OG-9 homing spider droids appeared on a nearby hill, with Scout and Barriss leading on top of two frontal units and deflecting incoming blaster shots. "Keep going!"
"Yeah, gotcha!" Scout nodded, adjusting his cap before dropping down below and slicing one unlucky clone vertically in half. "Everyone! Follow me!" He shouted, looking forward at the few remaining clones who decided not to run away thanks to motivation from several A6 Juggernauts and AT-OT's. "Guys, blast those freakin' things!"
"Roger that!"
"Yeah!"
"Commander Heavy?" Asajj asked, her holographic persona appearing on the communicator.
"Yes?" Heavy asked, rubbing his Chin aggressively while some parts of unlucky LAATi went past him and dropped down on the ground between some local barracks for droids.
"As a part of agreement with my sisters from Dathomir, I have aquired a fine warrior with great power. But... He seems to be hard to teach."
"Tiny baby should be teaching someone much, much smaller." Heavy commented, smiling a little at her angrily cursed face. "I will come."
"Excellent. Meet me at Dathomir, the we will commence with our work."
"General! We are being over-AAAH!" Bly shouted, being yanked into the air from the command post by a triple hit from precisely sent proton rockets.
"Nice shot!" Soldier praised the machine, looking as it automatically loaded another load of armaments into it's launchers. "Just as our Greasy Monkey intended!"
"Bee-boo-BAP!" Hailfire droid beeped happly before violently turning around and driving over Luminara and few clone troopers, who tried to take him by suprise.
"Too slow, lassie! You're doing it all wrong!" Demoman added, walking up to the group with Scout and Barriss.
"You can go now, your brothers need you." Barriss said to the droid, who quickly went forward, blasting whole round of rockets into the air.
"It won't go in your way... Dooku's pawns." Luminara said, while Demo coverer her group with stickies from his Scottish Resistamce.
"And you are... A pawn of Yoda. So? We're even." Scout responded, chewing a bubble gum in his mouth.
"And you Barriss? I expected so much more..."
"Just as I expected from the Jedi, and you." Barriss responded, mostly displeased. "They at least give me something other than strict rules, orchestrated litany of lies and blind following of orders."
"... That was a mistake." Luminara narrowed her eyes, using force to send the stickies straight at them with swiftly following detonation.
"You son of a CUNT!" Soldier shouted, phasing throu the attack with temporar A-pose and slicing all four clone troopers with Half-Zatoichi. "You just made it personal!"
"You okay Barriss?" Scout asked, standing up from the ground and helping her stand up.
"Yeah, I'm good." She responded, feeling the effects of medigun passive healing. "But we need to take a fight with my ex-master again." She added, just as Soldier's ragdoll went past them, hit Demo on it's way, and then send them both into the mountains where a large explosion cleared half of it in mere seconds.
"Now then, Sith." Luminara said with angry eyes, igniting her green lightsaber while Scout and Barriss took a single blue one on their side. "Let's see how you do without backstabbing."
