The Spine was quite a hard terrain to navigate through due to how the trees seemed to prevent any light from passing through their thick leaves. The floral seemed to have grown to be sharp and aggressive as if they were ready to devour any unfortunate victims that wandered too close towards them. Luz saw this throughout the trees, bushes, and even flowers. She had almost fallen victim to one of the flowers since the appearance was quite beautiful and even mesmerizing, but when a butterfly with a skull as its body landed onto the flower. It devoured the poor creature without hesitation and what made things worse for her was the monstrous sounds that filled the forest.
'I really hope I don't run into any of these Grimms before I have the means to defend myself against them…' The Hispanic Teen thought to herself while she considered letting her powers lose for once. Luz didn't feel a need to hold back as she did on earth, but that didn't mean she should be careless either. She then looked back at the map Frost had given her as it showed that one of the objects she would need to defeat Night Terror was close by within some ruins.
Yet before Luz could head any further, something had yanked her violently onto the ground as it wrapped its tail on her leg. Luz managed to use her Chi to force the creature off as it came into view. The Creature itself looked like a cobra, but its body seemed to be molded from Blackness with bones giving it a menacing appearance as they covered the head and parts of its serpent body while it glared at Luz with its Blood Red Eyes. The Cobra hissed at her in rage as it came into view, showing that it was a large serpent beast that towered before Luz as it roared in fury.
Luz quickly dodged its attempt to bite her before she conjured some of her chi into her palm, trying to use her lessons from Roshi, into a saw blade of pure blue energy. "Destructo Disc!" Luz shouted as she threw the blade at the Cobra, striking it as it sliced the snake in half. "Ok… That is a thing. At least it is taken care of." Luz said aloud, thinking it was over.
Yet, The Living Darkness reformed itself as it wrapped itself around Luz tightly. Crushing her with its body as it raised its head at Luz, as if mocking her for lowering her guard against it. Luz struggled to fight back against the creature as the snake began to look into her eyes as if it was searching for something. 'This thing feels like it is crushing me! How is it doing that when I am ten times stronger than this thing!' Luz screamed in her thoughts, believing this was an ordinary snake.
'So, this is the first time you have encountered a Grimm, Saiyan?' Something remarked within Luz's head as the Cobra began to grin, showing its venomous fangs as its eyes glowed brighter with the crimson energy within them. 'That is quite sad for you, young girl.' The Voice said again as Luz realized who was speaking in her head. "Crap…" Luz said in fear as the Grimm opened its mouth as it began to feed on Luz's insecurities and memories.
Thankfully, a crimson energy beam went through the skull of the cobra. Causing the creature to burst into nonexistence as Luz gasped for breath. "You ok?" Asked a young teen who seemed to be quite toned in his physical traits that made Luz blush a bit as the Saiyan helped her up. She nodded in response while being helped onto her feet. "Glad to hear that. These Grimms can be quite hard to deal with, you know." The Teen said as he crossed his arms before looking her over to scale her overall abilities. Extending a hand for a greeting, The Saiyan began to introduce himself. "Name's Escar by the way." He introduced himself as the two shook hands. One of the noticable traits about him though was the color of Escar's eyes. A Unique color of red that Luz believed saw once before earlier.
"Luz. Pleased to meet you." She replied before spotted the ruins she needed to locate as she rushed over. Escar though made sure he didn't lag too far behind as he shouted in worry about the girl's safety.
While back in town, King was desperate to find either Eda or Vegeta as fast as possible. He couldn't let Luz get herself killed by the monster she was about to fight against. King did know that if he somehow managed to get Eda and Vegeta to work with each other to help him, Night Terror would be less of a problem. Although… Convincing Eda and Vegeta to work together was something that seemed like a fool's errand due to how the two were too proud, as well as too stupid, to be willing to work with each other. King believed that Vegeta would kill Eda if he was given the chance. Yet, Frost had made enemies out of both the Owl Lady and Saiyan Warrior before. Multiple times in fact due to how Frost once humiliated the two in a fight by spiking their drinks with poison before an Iron Fist Tournament Match, a local fighting competition that is like The UFC on Argenta.
That won Frost a place in a body cast from Vegeta as he one-shotted Frost through the stadium in their next match. Eda had returned the humiliation by entangling Frost with rubble he was trapped in before she dropped him off at the local police station. King snickered at the memory as he recalled how Frost looked like a moth stuck in its cocoon with fairies as well as stuffed animals singing and dancing in front of him to draw attention to him. 'Oh Titan, that was so damn funny to see. Still can't believe that was so popular on Penstagram so quickly too.' King said in his thoughts before accidentally ramming into Vegeta's leg, causing him to fall backward and rubbing the frontal side of his skull. "Ow… That hurt…" King said aloud as The Saiyan picked him up by his fur.
"What's your problem, Furball?" Vegeta questioned with his eyes narrowed on King as the Demon Pup flinched a bit before King remembered why he was searching for him and Eda in the first place.
"Put me down, MC Widow's Peak. I was looking for you and Eda. Frost has tricked Luz to fight Night Terror in The Spine!" King shouted in desperation that this would convince him to help. Vegeta was a bit shocked to hear that the girl who was chosen as Edalyn's Apprentice was stupid enough to fall for Frost's Trickery. Vegeta let go of King, causing the pup to hit the ground hard as the Saiyan laughed at this a bit.
"You expect me to believe that Edalyn's Apprentice would be stupid enough to battle a Grimm Alpha, Demon?" Vegeta scoffed in complete disbelief at the claim as he arrogantly crossed his arms, "The only way that Would be true is if she had taken a human as an apprentice." Vegeta continued on before he saw King's glaring eyes that made him go pale with utter shock. "Wait! That girl is actually A Human!?" Vegeta shouted in fear for the girl's safety as he looked at King, "And you ALLOWED her to go after The Grimm Alone!?" He scolded The Demon as he had already noticed that Luz was not present with King.
"Why On Argenta Would I be Searching for You Two If I HAD Convinced Her to Stop, Moron!?" King shouted in rage as he aggressively pointed at The Saiyan as Vegeta looked away in irritation.
"How long ago did she enter the spine, Pup?" Vegeta questioned as he began to use his Chi to locate Luz's and Frost's whereabouts. "About fifteen minutes ago, Vegeta…" King admittedly told The Saiyan as he felt Vegeta's cold judgment land on him as he turned to the demon pup. "I'll try to stop her as best I can. You get to Edalyn as quickly as possible and tell her to find me. Hopefully, I can get to her before Night Terror devours the human alive." Vegeta ordered King as he began to take flight, "Now get that Owl Lady off of her ass, Now!" The Saiyan shouted as he flew off as King nodded in dreaded agreement while bolting to Eda quickly.
