Eda was currently drinking a glowing golden liquid from a potion bottle after being fully dressed in her usual attire. Once the bottle was empty, she tossed it into the trash before grabbing her staff. 'Another daily dose of Elixir down the hatch… Hopefully, no one will find out about this damn thing…' The Owl Lady said within her thoughts with some dread. In a sense, the Elixirs were kind of a daily medication she needed to take. Yet, she didn't want anyone to know why. Especially King and Vegeta of all people.
King was kind of like her son due to how long they had been with each other after she took him in. Vegeta, however, was more of the concern due to their own rivalry. Sure, she recognizes that they don't always get along. Yet they seemed to hold each other in high respect. Eda believed this was due to Vegeta's views on his Saiyan Pride and her embracing the Wild Nature of Witches seemed to be very similar concepts.
Eda had even helped Vegeta escape the Emperor when he rebelled against the tyrant thanks to her handy portal she owned. "Well… I think it is a good idea to check on Luz's progress on the deliveries." Eda said aloud as she grabbed her Staff before Hooty smacked her in the face with the door.
"Hoot, Hoot! That's payback for stabbing me in the eyes." Hooty declared with a sly smirk as both The Owl Lady and King just glared at him. Yet before Eda could tell Hooty off. She was utterly confused to see King here, especially without Luz.
She got up with a scowl on her face as her eyes narrowed on him. "King… Where is Luz?" Eda questioned as she realized that King seemed a bit panicked. "What happened?" She asked in a kinder tune as Eda started to get worried for Luz's safety.
"Long story short. Frost has tricked Luz to fight Night Terror in The Spine and I rushed to find you." King told Eda simply as he looked a bit ashamed he couldn't stop Luz. "Vegeta is on his way to hopefully stop Luz from Reaching the Alpha." The Demon Puppy continued on, yet was concerned that she would have to be with Vegeta again.
This made the Witch Woman pale with fear that the human would be so willing to fight a Grimm Alpha. "We gotta get going now!" She declared while grabbing King as they took off to The Spine.
Back within the Spine, Luz had made great progress with obtaining the items on Frost's map to combat Night Terror. These had included an Amulet, Ring, Cloak, and even her own Staff. Even with some lesser Grimms attempting to attack her and her new friend, Escar. They have been managing to hold their own as they arrive upon a massive cave formation. "So, I'm guessing this is where Night Terror is held up in?" She asked Escar with a raised eyebrow.
He nodded in confirmation while giving Luz an encouraging smile. "If we have gotten this far, we can take this Grimm together." Escar told Luz with a smirk, "So, let's slay this dragon pal." He continued on as Luz smiled as she rushed into the cave. Yet, Escar didn't follow inside as he twirled his finger into a circle to dissipate the illusion that had cloaked his true identity as he began to chuckle. "This girl is so foolish. She fell for this entire facade without a second thought." Frost said aloud with a smirk, "Wonder how long she will last against Night Terror." He continued on as he folded his arms behind his back.
Frost had only tagged along to ensure Luz made it to The Draconic Grimm and ensure that she had an idea of what to expect from Grimms. Learning that Luz didn't know what Grimms were made him rethink his deception. After all, he didn't want her to go in blindly and a good illusion needs a sliver of truth for believability. But to challenge a Grimm Alpha was in another League compared to a common Grimm. Not only were they massive in size, but their power to feed on negative emotions are far greater. Yet, this was only to Luz as bait to draw in the two he wanted to dispose of due to the humiliation they have brought upon him. "Let's just hope that Rat has played his role in this scheme of mine." Frost said aloud with a villainous smirk.
Luz searched within the massive cave for the Dragon she was destined to slay. The Hispantic Teen was so caught up in the moment that she had failed to realize that Escar wasn't by her side. Shortly though, Luz felt the soft growl of a sleeping dragon before she turned towards the beast. What she saw was a massive three-headed hydra covered in bones and made of a shadowy like substance that glowed with streaks of crimson energy.
The beast was coiled up within its own wings and tail as it slept peacefully. Luz could feel the power that Night Terror radiated from its body by its Chi. 'Maybe I am a bit over my head… No, this is my story and I am gonna defeat this beast.' Luz said in her thoughts to encourage herself as she looked behind. But when she didn't see Escar with her to help with combating this beast. She felt a bit dismayed that he was nowhere to be seen.
This was enough to awaken the beast as the three monstrous heads aroused from their slumber, sensing their latest meal ready for it. As Night Terror stood up, Luz felt the ground begin to shake before she flipped back towards to The Grimm with some fright. This made Luz backup to separate herself from the monster. "So, you have dared to stand up to me, little girl?" The Monster mocked with the muzzles growing a grin filled with fangs, "How unfortunate that this will be your grave." The beast declared as let out a rock-shattering roar that caused the cave to fall apart as stone and rubble fell from the roof of the cavern.
"Scrap!" Luz shouted aloud as she tried to dodge the falling rocks and attempted to protect herself with one of the items she had obtained. Yet when she tried, they puffed into non-existence as if they were nothing more than clouds of smoke. "What The Hell!?" She shouted aloud before trying to shield herself from a massive boulder that was about to crush her.
"Rhino! Save The Girl!" Shouted a voice before a metal humanoid rhino entity smashed through the rock with its body covered in a set of hardened steel-like scales. The Metal Rhino then stood in front of Luz to protect her as the Grimm grew enraged as it saw Vegeta ready to battle it. She noticed that the gauntlets he was wearing were now glowing with a purple-colored energy, similar to the colorization of his Galick Gun Attack. "You seriously didn't question Frost's stupid claims about destiny, Luz?" Vegeta questioned with a glare that made her shiver in fear by his disappointment, "To be that gullible to rely on that type of false promise makes me wonder why Eda even made you her apprentice in the first place…" He told her before looking back at the Beast before him.
Night Terror glared at the Saiyan and his Metallic Companion as it began to claw at the two. Yet, Rhine managed to catch the attack as Vegeta flew up into the air as he collected Chi in his palm to form a blue sphere of energy. "Big Bang Attack!" He shouted aloud as he fired the Sphere at the Grimm as one of the heads tried to use its Elemental breath to counter it.
However, due to the rocks being formed into restraints for Night Terror put of the blue, The Blast knocked the beast into a wall. Making it crack from its size and weight. Eda then flew in from the dust caused by the attack. "Glad I managed to get here in time, Vegeta. Is Luz ok?" She asked the Saiyan as he nodded.
"Just make sure you two don't get in my way. I'll deal with this Grimm myself." He declared as he and Rhino charged in recklessly against Night Terror as it got up.
"Vegeta, Wait!" The Owl Lady tried to call out to him, but he was smacked by the Hydra's tail into a wall as Rhino formed itself around Vegeta as a suit of armor. "You arrogant brat…" Eda muttered to herself with irritation by this.
"It is great to see you two here. I can't wait to see you two being dinner for the Grimm!" Frost shouted aloud as he fired several Red Death Beams at the two. Eda quickly spinned her staff to create a Magical Energy Shield from the beams as Vegeta managed to dodge the Magic Beams.
Luz saw that this fight would not end well for the Two Rivals. It was very clear they aren't willing to work together and with the two foes they were up against will over power them soon. 'If we can't get rid of Night Terror before this Cavern collapse, we are gonna be crushed…' Luz thought to herself before remembering something earlier. Due to her travel Herr, Luz noticed that the one way to kill Grimms was by destroying the skull upon their forehead.
With the Cavern falling apart due to the battle with The Hydra, there would be a way to have it bring its own demise if it was tricked. "Hey! We need to take Down Night Terror before we deal with Frost! Make it attack the walls!" Luz shouted aloud for both Eda and Vegeta to hear.
They at first were confused by this idea before they noticed how unstable the cave was. Vegeta smirked at this idea as began to taunt the Grimm, "Where is your bravado Slug!? I was expecting more of a challenge overgrown Lizard!" The Grimm glared at Vegeta, the famous shit talker that he is, before blasting a breath of pure lightning that hit the wall behind him as he flew out of range.
"Seriously?! We are tiny little sitting ducks and you can't hit the broad side of a barn?" Eda taunted with a sly smirk, "Guess you just have grown fat and slow after all of this time?" The Owl Lady shouted as the Grimm grew more enraged by the second as it continued its onslaught of missed attacks on the cavern.
Frost also grew enraged that his plan was falling apart due to the Human Girl as the Cavern began to break apart, causing it to collapse as the Trio within the cave made their escape. "Blast that Little Brat!" The Arcosian announced in Fury as he flew after them. However, Night Terror was unable to escape its demise as the cavern crushed it with the weight of the falling rocks.
"Hell ya that was Fun!" Luz said aloud before Vegeta promptly sucker punched the girl for her stupidity. "What the Hell!?" She shouted aloud as her nose bled from the punch.
Yet, when she saw the glare Vegeta was giving her. Luz immediately went quiet due to her guilt for getting everyone in this mess in the first place. "Why Did You Ignore King's Warning About Frost and Believe His Pathetic Claims about Destiny!?" He scolded the girl as she tried to stop the blood from pouring out. "You could have died fighting that beast If Eda nor I had gotten to you in time, Child!" Vegeta continued on as he picked Luz up from her shirt.
"I thought that it was a chance to be accepted and feel important, you know…" Luz admitted with some tears beginning to form, "I have been called nothing but a freak for so long on Earth that I was so desperate for a chance to feel special I guess…" She continued on as both Vegeta and Eda were surprised to hear this.
Vegeta then closed his eyes as he dropped Luz abruptly before crossing his arms. "You shouldn't care about how others view you, Luz. And do not rely on the lies of Destiny to define yourself." He told her simply with Eda nodding in agreement.
"Yeah, kid. If we waited for some stupid Prophecy to make us special. We'll die waiting." Eda added on before elbowing Vegeta, "If this whiny brat can achieve the 'legend of the super saiyan', then anything is possible if you try for yourself." She added with a sly smirk before Vegeta twitched in rage before the two chased each other like a cartoonist sibling fight chase scene. Luz laughed at this humorous scene as the two toyed with each other.
