"Friedrich. Friedrich, get up." Isaac said softly as he woke up. feeling the weight of her body on his chest.
Friedrich stirred a bit but remained asleep.
"Friedrich." Isaac said as he pushed his legs into the bed, moving his hips against hers. A surprised squeak from the battleship confirmed that she was awake.
"Mmm. Isaac~~~ So full of energy this morning." Friedrich said as she sat up, pushing herself further against his hips where they were still joined from the night before.
"Friedrich. We can't spend all day in bed. Let me up before Odin throws a fit." Isaac said.
"Then make me, my big strong Kommandant~~" Friedrich said as she clamped her hands over his wrists.
Isaac pushed further into the bed, lifting Friedrich up and throwing her to the bed again.
"You may be a battleship, love. But I am the commander." Isaac whispered as Friedrich chuckled.
"Such bravado, Isaac. Come. Round four awaits." Friedrich said as she kissed his lips gently.
"Friedrich. We still have jobs to do. And besides, looking at how bad your legs are shaking, I'd be surprised if you could walk, much less go another round. You're a powerhouse, but you gotta work on your stamina, my love." Isaac said as he stood and grabbed a towel from the end of the bed.
"Verdammt. You noticed." Friedrich said with a chuckle.
"Yup. And you know what that means." Isaac said. Friedrich blushed heavily at the thought.
"Do I have to?" Friedrich asked.
"No... but I will always tease you about it." Isaac said.
"Fine... I'll wear it." Friedrich said.
"Excellent. I have always wanted to see you in something like that since the day we met." Isaac said.
"I will make you pay next time." Friedrich said as she looked at him.
Isaac gulped at the thought.
"Go get cleaned up. Odin seems to be a bit agitated by the sound of her voice." Friedrich said as she finally reactivated her radio.
"Alright. I'll only be a few minutes." Isaac said as Friedrich waited outside the bathroom.
Isaac washed quickly, opening the bathroom door and allowing Friedrich to slowly make her way over to the door to take her turn.
By the time she was done, Isaac had already put his body suit on and was in the middle of attaching the armor plates and putting on his helmet.
"Isaac... could you make your way back to the Norfolk... even though we agreed on it... It's embarrassing to be seen putting it on." Friedrich said softly.
"Alright. I'll get the bulins to come pick me up. Don't chicken out, my love." Isaac said, chuckling like a child.
"Get out of here, you lecherous Kommandant." Friedrich said with a smile.
"See you in a bit, beautiful." Isaac said as he walked down the corridor towards the top deck.
"Isaac~~" Friedrich called, beckoning Isaac to peek his head into the doorway.
"Yes, my love?" Isaac asked.
"Ich Liebe Dich" Friedrich said softly with a smile that could warm even the most frozen of hearts.
"I love you too." Isaac said as he left her to get dressed.
"Head bulin?" Isaac asked.
"Buli?" The bulin replied.
"Can you come and get me from Friedrich's ship? Friedrich is still a bit lethargic this morning." Isaac said.
"Of course, Buli." The head bulin said as she cut the line. Several minutes later, Isaac watched the small yellow boat make its way from the Norfolk to Friedrich's ship. Isaac waited for the rope ladder to be deployed before climbing down.
"Did you sleep well, Commander?" The bulin asked.
"Oh I only slept for about an hour or so. Friedrich kept me awake pretty much all night." Isaac said as he stretched his arms.
The Head bulin nodded, refusing to continue her line of questioning.
"Where to?" The bulin asked.
"The Eagle. I need to do a wellness check on our hard working carrier." Isaac said as the bulin nodded.
"Eagle?" Isaac called as he stood on the flight deck.
"Commander?" Eagle asked as she poked her head out from the island.
"It's me. Can I come in?" Isaac asked.
"Of course. I wasn't expecting you though." Eagle said.
"Norfolk was saying that you've been distracted as of late. I'm here to see if I can help." Isaac said as he took off his helmet.
"You... came here just for that?" Eagle asked.
"Of course!" Isaac said as he looked at her.
"Why?" Eagle asked.
"Besides the ring on your finger and the fact that you are one of my three aircraft carriers... You are still a member of this fleet. But you're also a girl. Sometimes people just need someone to talk to." Isaac said.
"I see..." Eagle said with a soft smile.
"So... spill it. Come, I'll make us some tea." Isaac said as Eagle followed.
Isaac placed a mug of tea on the table as he sat next to her.
"Come on, love. Talk to me." Isaac said.
"I was all for this war when it was just the Sirens and their drone fleets. To fight them is what my purpose is. But the past few days... the reality is that we have now included humans on our list. And spies have been used against us..." Eagle said as she slowly sipped her tea.
"I haven't taught you how to do tea..." Eagle said as she grimaced at the taste.
"Sorry. I'm not the best when it comes to tea." Isaac chuckled
"Then why offer to make it, silly." Eagle said with a smile as she sipped it more.
"You don't have to drink it..." Isaac said.
"The love of my life made me a cup of tea. Even if it isn't the best, it's the thought that counts." Eagle said.
"So, back on track, you don't like the idea of fighting humans?" Isaac asked.
"I guess I'm just scared. One of these days, I'll send my fighters to strafe the enemy, and watch in the cockpit as my bullets tear a soldier to shreds." Eagle said.
"Eagle. We are at war. Death is common in war. But that does not mean that you have to be stone cold. If that day comes, and you find yourself disgusted with yourself over the loss of our enemy, come to me. I will show you that you are still the woman I fell in love with. I will show you that doing what you must, is not a crime worthy of such self loathing." Isaac said as he held out his arms. Eagle allowed herself to lean against Isaac as he wrapped his arms around her.
"You'll still love me, even when the bodies begin to pile up?" Eagle asked.
"My name will go down in history as a monster in the eyes of many. People will call for my head on a platter. But we have to do this. The world cannot survive under Siren rule. And if our legacy is a mountain of corpses of those who support the Sirens, then so be it. I will love you until both of us have sunk to the bottom of the sea, and even further beyond that. So don't you worry about my love for you. That will never change." Isaac said as he looked at the carrier in his arms.
"Alright... then this too is just another obstacle that I will conquer for you, Commander." Eagle said.
"Don't worry, Eagle. I will have your back." Isaac said as he laced a kiss on her forehead, leaving her with a smile.
"Get ready. I saw that we are within a few hours of landing. I will be counting on your albacores to drop the heat when needed." Isaac said.
"That I can do, Commander." Eagle said as Isaac turned to leave.
"And Isaac...?" Eagle asked
"Hmm?" Isaac asked as he turned around.
"Thank you." Eagle said with a smile.
"No problem, my love." Isaac said as he walked back out to the flight deck.
"Looks like the experiment was a success." Observer Alpha said as she stood back and marveled at her work.
"Orders?" A German voice asked.
"Take Subject R and infiltrate Bermuda. I want those cubes. YOU want those cubes. Go and retrieve them, and you will be reunited with your lord." Observer Alpha said.
"Understood. Roon, we have a mission from the Kaiser. Let's go." The voice spoke.
"Eugen..." Roon spoke as her amber eyes glowed.
"Don't start with me. The Kaiser has ordered this. We are to retrieve lord Bismarck." Eugen said.
"I've always wanted to face Lord Bismarck..." Roon said as she walked forward into the light of the room.
"You will retrieve her. I want her brought to me." Observer Alpha said.
"Ugh... fine. She'll be brought. But she will pay for abandoning me. They all will. I have half a mind to tear you in two, Eugen. You would understand, right? Right~~?" Roon asked as her hands glided towards Eugen's neck before a shock stopped her.
"You will not harm Eugen. She is your cover to get into Bermuda. You two will work together." Observer Alpha said.
"Kaiser... Something deep inside me is telling me to rip you apart too. Maybe one day I'll listen to it." Roon said as Eugen looked at Roon.
"Let's go. We're burning daylight." Eugen said as she pushed Roon out the doors of the warehouse.
"So that is what the black cubes make them see me as. Interesting." Observer Alpha said as she turned to watch Roon and Eugen leave via the CCTV system at the warehouse.
"The Explorers in New Guinea should be riling up the Pack. Hopefully they can kill that General before the Insect gets to him." Observer Alpha said as her cackles filled the empty space.
"Welcome back Commander. How was your evening?" Norfolk asked.
"It was quiet eventful. Fixing a burst pipe, and a good meal." Isaac said as he stepped onto the bridge of the Norfolk.
"Oh? And laying pipe with Friedrich didn't make the list?" Odin asked, causing Norfolk to gasp.
"I don't flaunt my sex life, Odin. But yes, I laid Friedrich three times I believe. After staying up most of the night, my mind started bunching everything together, so I might have miscounted." Isaac said as Odin turned beet red.
"Commander, you naughty dog!" Norfolk said as she laughed at her joke. Isaac chuckled as well.
"So, where is our newest member?" Isaac asked.
"She is aboard the Z23 with Nimi. Nimi refused to allow anyone to keep her overnight." Norfolk said.
"I see. Well, It isn't important right now. We have a potential fight right in front of us, so let us focus on that." Isaac said as he turned towards the Bow before addressing the fleet.
"Alright everyone. New Guinea. Our last staging point before we assault the Philippines. Let's do this right. Begin the assault... wait, belay that order. Is someone else seeing that ship?" Isaac asked as he saw a dreadnaught sitting in the port where he was going to land.
"Damn, Sorry Shikikan. I had meant to contact you earlier than this. Gangut of Northern Parliament has cleared our primary insertion point. She has been waiting for our arrival." Akagi said as Isaac put his head in his palms.
"Alright. I wish I would've been informed, but let's still do this. She probably hasn't cleared the harbor, so we will still advance with caution." Isaac said as he stood up again.
"Taka! Launch the invasion craft." Isaac said as the fleet split to allow the Transport ship to release her boats before advancing under the cover of the destroyers of Isaac's fleet.
"All ships, advance." Isaac ordered as the fleet made the final steps, clearing their way to New Guinea.
