Upon realizing Luz's origin, Edalyn had taken Luz back to The Owl House as Vegeta headed off to process this information as he took to one of Capsule Corp's Gravity Gyms. Since Saiyans can withstand high levels of Gravity due to their genetic traits, Jinza and Bulma had managed to develop specialized rooms to help with this form of Saiyan Training. Eventually, Demons had found out that they too could withstand this Gravity Room as it led to a side chain of products of Capsule Corp. Though this detail isn't as important as everyone definitely needed time to process this information as storm clouds began to form in the skies as they came before the infamous Owl House.
King had opened the door in a panic as he gestured for Luz to head inside, "Luz! Get inside before the rain starts!" Yet Luz was cheerful by this, missing the obvious sides of concern from both Eda and King. After all, Luz had always enjoyed the rain back on earth and always made sure she would feel the sets of raindrops as they fell. Although, as the first drop of Argenta's rain touched her skin, Luz yelped in pain as the water was indeed boiling hot. Though, Eda was already protected from the Boiling Rain thanks to a magic barrier as she worked on making one for Hooty.
Hooty was, unfortunately, able to feel every single raindrop since the very Owl House was his skin as he took root in the house. Luz immediately rushed inside as the rain tackled all over her body. Once on the doorstep, Luz announced aloud; "Guess the rain is what won the Isles the title of Boiling Isles, huh?" Both King and Luz shared a laugh as Eda snickered as she focused her magic onto the large barrier for Hooty.
"So Eda… Why do people call you the Owl Lady?" The Hispanic asked as King placed a band-aid on her burn mark from the rain. "I can get the titles of Saiyan Barbarian and Boiling Isles," Luz announced as the scene briefly turns to Vegeta sneezing aloud before he looked around angrily to find whoever was talking smack about him, "But your title as Owl Lady does seem quite an odd pick for you." She added on as Eda finished with the spell she was working on for Hooty.
Eda was a bit nervous to answer this, at least truthfully. With a small laugh and twirl of her staff, Eda began to proclaim the reason for her title. "It is because I am Wise and Fierce like the Nocturnal Avian Predator." The Witch Woman announced with pride as King was very annoyed by this clearly false claim.
"Sure, Eda…" King remarked while pulling out a small pen with a pink gemstone at one end of it. "I think it's more because YOU get distracted by shiny objects. To further prove my point." The Demon Pup announced with a sly grin on his skull face. He then clicked the pen, giving the pink gem a brilliant glow that captivated Eda as her eye grew in awe.
"It Sparkles! It Shimmers! It Delights!" Eda declared with utter awe before began to become Gollum from Lord of The Rings, "I must have the precious for my nest!" The Owl Lady announced as King promptly clicked the pen once again to deactivate the glow of the gem, and revert Eda back to normal.
'That was freaky…' Luz announced as she looked at Eda in a new and unpleasant light while she rubbed her eyes to soothe them from the dramatic shift of her demeanor.
Though, back on Earth, Straxus was walking alongside three of his company's best Alchemists as today was the presentation for the US Military against a rival Tech Companies, Cybertek which was run by Ian Quinn, as they combat their Cybernetic and Ninate Technology. Along with The CEO was Sakino Kinuzu the Destroyer Alchemist, Solf J. Kimblee the Crimson Lotus Alchemist, and finally Roy Mustang the Flame Alchemist. Though, Kimblee was keen to keep an eye on Mustang as Straxus caught notice of this while gesturing for Kimblee to address him privately. "Something wrong, Agent Kimblee?" Straxus asked as he used his sword within its holster as a cane for a short period.
Kimblee walked over to his boss as the other two kept their course to the battlefield that the Military had set up for this display of combat. "I think Roy Mustang as his assistant, Riza Hawkeye, has come into contact with Director Fury and may be working with him. I know they don't particularly take kindly to your methods for progress, Mr. Nebulous." The Crimson Alchemist declared as Straxus did indeed take note of Solf J's suspicions. "We did lose both Monica and Quan Chi to them due to SHIELD and we don't need any moles from their organization to stick their noses into any of our projects." He reasoned as Straxus nodded to this.
"For now, we need to focus on the presentation ahead. We do need more funding for our projects to gain access to The Promised Land of Argenta. Once we have concluded our business here and effectively show them how much of a moronic fool of an opportunist that Ian is. Ensure you place deep cover surveillance on them." Straxus ordered with Kimblee agreeing to this course of action. As much as Straxus respected skilled warriors like Roy Mustang, Sakamoto, and Nick Fury. He absolutely despises people such as Ian Quinn and John Garrett, who only seek ways to save their own skins or make a profit without any real effort to achieve. After all, if you can obtain anything in life, you need to use your own skills and will to grasp it. Not rely on anyone else to do so.
Though, as if it was on cue, Straxus came face to face with both Ian Quinn and John Garrett as they chatted with US General Thaddeus Ross, well known within the military ranks. Though, Ian was quite puzzled by Straxus' sword he had on hand. Considering they were very outdated weapons when you compare them to modern forms of weaponry. Though with a small chuckle as a quick readjustment of his suit, The Cybertek CEO walked over to Straxus and offered a handshake in formal greeting. "So, I take it you're the CEO of White Star Corporation, Straxus Nebulous?" He remarked with a smirk though a bit miffed that the older man just stared at him with narrowed eyes. Almost as if he was insulted by this very gesture of his.
"Wow… You're the grouch everyone says you are, old-timer?" Garrett joked to hopefully lighten the tension within the air. Though, this didn't work as he had wished.
General Ross did let out a small laugh at this before announcing, "You two should be careful around Straxus. He may be an Old-Timer, but I have heard what this man is capable of. Best not to anger him." Though this only just confused the two Cybertek employees. After all, the only weapon Straxus seemed to have on hand was just a simple sword.
Ian let out a small sigh as he tried to readdress Straxus in a kindly manner, "Look Mr. Nebulous. There's no need to be so hostile. We are both business-" Ian began as a swift gush of wind flowed towards his throat at blinding speeds, revealing the blade of Straxus' sword ready to slice his throat wide open. This left everyone utterly surprised as no one saw The White Star CEO even move before this.
Straxus then leaned towards Ian, with clear cold wrath in his eyes. "I will only tell you this once, Mr. Quinn. Do Not Ever Compare Yourself to Me. We are nothing alike. You and your scum of a subordinate are just spineless cowards who await the right moment to save your pathetic lives as I worked for everything I have built. You have never placed any real effort into anything you have achieved." Nebulous declared with an enraged tone before placing his sword back into the holster on his hip. "Remember that, Ian Quinn." The Elder threatened as Ian rubbed his throat in slight fear of Straxus.
