Aztec Rat Race
In Mexico, Lord Arcanon's Battleship was hovering over the location of the noble rat. Daolon Wong was in the training room testing his newly acquired powers of Levitation, Heat Beam Eyes, and Combustion.
"Daolon are you done yet?" Arcanon spoke, "We are in Mexico and the power of Reanimation is waiting."
"Almost done Lord Arcanon," Daolon Spoke up, "Testing the new powers takes time and I have been in training lately as much as you have."
"At least you take your training seriously and I've gotten the Dark Hand Back on it's feet after the mess with Shendu but for now we need to get moving," Arcanon said, "We now know who the Elemental Dragon Girl in Human form is so we have an advantage."
"Agreed and the new improvements you've made to the muscle gear have worked out nicely," Daolon spoke.
"That's assuming all goes according to plan," Arcanon reminded, "Remember not every outcome can be mathematically calculated."
Daolon understood as Arcanon summoned the Shadowkhan and had them go and retrieve the noble rat.
Meanwhile Jackie, Jade, and Camille were in Mexico as the Element Dragon Girl was holding a whisker.
"Remind me again why we are holding a cat whisker Camille?" Jackie asked, "I feel rather foolish."
"The Rat talisman power of reanimation or bringing motion to the motionless in laymen's terms requires the whisker of a cat," Camille said, "And we cannot let this power fall into the wrong hands. Trust me when I say you don't want to know the worst case scenario."
"Let me guess Arcanon could revive the statue of the Dark Dragon and set it loose?" Jade asked.
"That or revive an army of dangerous Aztec or Mesoamerican gods," the Elemental Dragon Girl spoke.
Jackie and Jade understood full well how dangerous the power of the rat was now that it was in a living vessel instead of a talisman and should Daolon Wong get hold of the power of Reanimation then their problems would get much worse.
"Thanks for the mental image of the worst case scenario Camille," Jackie said, "But are you sure it's safe for you to come with us? Arcanon and Daolon Wong now know who you are which means the Huntsclan will know as well. I think for your safety you should stay back at Section 13 considering all that has happened."
"Daolon may have the powers of Combustion, Heat beam eyes, levitation, and healing but we can still beat him," Camille said, "And Arcanon is not gonna give out information like my identity that easily not to mention I also know martial arts."
"See Uncle Jackie, Camille and her teachers put a lot of thought into this," Jade said, "She and her family are well prepared for just about any situation."
Jackie sighed knowing that he had no choice considering Camille was the best chance they had to find the noble rat.
Soon enough the trio continued onwards not knowing that they were being followed by shadowkhan. Once the trio reached the entrance of an old mine they were ambushed by Shadowkhan ninjas and to make matters worse the shadowkhan were somehow giving off a darker aura than usual.
"I don't suppose we could talk this out," Jackie spoke and in response the shadowkhan began to attack.
"I don't think talking this out is going to work," Camille spoke as she and Jade began blasting away at the Shadowkhan with chi spells while Jackie began using his martial arts, "Dang it they had to pick now of all times to attack and given the circumstances I can't even use my full power."
Jade knew what Camille meant for she could remember that thanks to Daolon Wong having taken the power of combustion she lost the advantage of her secret identity and that meant she was unable to help as much as she wanted to because she couldn't risk confirming to the forces of darkness that she was the Elemental dragon Girl. If the Huntsclan found out they could simply go after all of her relatives as revenge for all of the defeats she handed them all across Europe and for her being the main reason that the Dragon Council was able to capture several members of the American Branch of the Huntsclan.
Jackie was having problems of his own against the wearers of Arcanon's newly empowered muscle gear. He tried his best but the armor was too thick to do any damage and the only damage delt was to his own hands due to all the failed attacks. He was able to avoid and evade attacks but he couldn't keep it up forever.
"Where is backup when you need it the most?" Jackie asked as he dodged yet another attack before an earth shot damaged the Muscle gear and said attack came from Councilor Kulkulkhan the Central American Dragon and the Elemental Dragon Girl's Earth Element Teacher, "That was oddly convenient."
"Focus chan," said the Central American Dragon as he fended off the Shadowkhan, "It's not over until it's over."
Jackie understood and got back in the game as he and the Central American Dragon fended off the last of the Shadowkhan and the minions wearing Arcanon's muscle gear before they regrouped.
"That was tougher than I thought," Camille said, "Arcanon is already sending Shadowkhan but the muscle gear his minions were wearing was resistant to even my attacks. The good news is that the Earth Element can do damage."
"The bad news is that dragons of the earth element and water element are very rare and hard to find," The Central American Dragon spoke, "Either way we better get going. We don't have much time to waste."
The team of Jackie, Cyndi, Jade, Camille, and Councilor Kulkulkhan the latter two were currently in dragon form after what happened with Camille and Vivian in Kansas continued onwards to find the Noble Rat. Their quest led them to an old Silver Mine with plenty of Rats but none of them were the ones the team were looking for as the whisker led them deeper into the mine until they found a shrine made entirely of silver.
"I'd say we found the rat," Camille spoke as a White rat showed up, "Or rather it found us."
"For once this was an easy mission," Jackie said as Cyndi was doing her thing of talking to the noble rat, "Now let's go before anything else happens today. I would like some rest."
"I'll take it from here," Camille said, "Uthe Sazure!"
Camille warped them out of the mine and near the town where they arrived before she had to take a breather.
"Camille are you alright?" Jade asked.
"I'm okay but using a spell like that takes a lot of magic," said Camille, "I was able to do that because I had to draw power from one of the Talisman Powered Animals but even so it takes a lot of power. The only reason I was able to that the last time was because I was in possession of all four of the earth sign talisman powers."
"And it took a lot of training for you to control all of that power," said Councilor Kulkulkhan, "Still you're making a lot of progress but we should leave now before our enemies show up. The Current Dragon of Asia has found a lead on the location of the Rabbit and Snake Talisman Powers. We had best return to Section 13 and I had best let the Dragon Council know at once."
The group headed back to Section 13 unaware that the Shadowkhan were present and had heard everything that the heroes had said.
In Arcanon's airship Daolon Wong and Arcanon were reviewing the footage and got the information that the Shadowkhan presented to them.
"Arcanon while I have not questioned your tactics so far I have to ask," Daolon Wong spoke, "Why did you not allow the to go after the Rat Talisman power when we had the chance?"
"Because I have a big plan in motion as we speak Daolon," said Arcanon, "Even if we lose the remaining Talisman Powers we still have the advantage of having the Huntsclan in our service. That is unless you forgot we have some information that they'd be eager to get their hands on."
"The identity of the Elemental Dragon Girl," Daolon Wong spoke, "Very clever indeed which means that those normally afraid of her will certainly make a move and the Huntsclan will likely target her relatives."
"And with the Dragon Council busy protecting her we can sneak in and have the Shadowkhan get us to where they're holding the Powers of the Talismans," Arcanon said, "Section 13's security may keep you out but it is useless before the Shadowkhan and even if we do lose the powers we can still unleash the Shadowkhan and their original owners upon the planet if the need arises."
Daolon smiled at that plan as the Airship floated across the horizon to an unknown destination to one of the remaining talisman locations.
