The room quieted down as Nezu started talking.
"What are you talking about?" Sir Nighteye asked.
"Yesterday three young girls were saved by heroes working out of the Stark Agency. The first two were rescued near the harbor by Bubble Girl, Burnin, and their sidekick Black Widow. Bubble Girl, can you please give your account on what happened?" Nezu asked.
"Yes," the blue skinned hero said, standing up and walking to the front of the room. "Yesterday Burnin and I were patrolling around the harbor with Black Widow when she pointed out a small form with blonde hair. Since there were reports of a couple of children in the area the two of us went down while Burnin stayed behind to watch our backs," Bubble Girl started, putting a picture with a small blonde haired girl and one with darker hair.
"Hmm? Wait, that reminds me of what happened last year," Nejire-Chan said.
"Agreed," Ryukyu added.
"After a small confrontation with one of the girls who stated her name to be Laura we got to talking and she mentioned a girl named Yuki and after Black Widow's help and knowledge we confirmed that she was talking about the child Nejire-Chan saved from the streets last year," Bubble Girl added.
"That's why Yuki reacted when I brought her to the room," Static Arrow muttered.
"Since this was the first lead on that case of child trafficking we decided to reach out to Nezu since he has a connection to both the sidekick who helped save the first child as well as our own sidekick. After they were cleared we brought them here and started the paperwork after sending Black Widow home for the day," she finished, going back to her seat.
"Thank you, now, late last night Supergirl and Batgirl had a run in with another child, this one was much more eye opening in the information that we know of. Supergirl, I'll leave the full explanation to you," Nezu said from his seat.
"Thank you," Supergirl said, looking at her before going to the front. "Last night Batgirl and I were patrolling from the roofs when she noticed a small form running from a larger one. After asking me for my opinion I agreed that we should check it out. After going to ground level we walked past the alley and the small child ran into Batgirl. The man claimed she was his daughter and while I distracted him Batgirl asked her if he hurt her which she confirmed. After she came up with a plan and quietly explained it to me so he couldn't hear, we enacted it with her tossing the small girl to me and I quickly made my way here to make sure he couldn't follow us while Batgirl distracted him," she explained.
"Of course she did," Arrowette muttered, looking at me.
"After I arrived here Nezu and Recovery Girl were already here and while Recovery Girl checked the girl I explained what happened to Nezu. Batgirl returned and after an idea Nezu had we confirmed that the girl we saved was familiar with the two girls that were saved previously that day and they were all held by the same people. Batgirl, would you be willing to give the description of the man since you got a longer look at him," she all but commanded, looking at me.
"Of course," I said, standing up and joining her. "He was tall, around five ten, and had a jacket with feathers or fur around the neck. He wore a plague doctor's mask over his mouth and his eyes were golden in color. He had short dark hair and an air of power around him that made me able to tell that he was dangerous."
"Kai Chisaki, the current head of the Shie Hassaikai," Sir Nighteye said. "You're telling me you survived a fight with him?" he asked, doubtful.
"No, I knew I wouldn't be able to take him down without a lot of luck on my part since I didn't know what he could do. I used a smoke bomb and a sonic grenade that attracted a bunch of bats to keep him distracted while I ran away," I explained.
"Thank you," Supergirl said. "That's all we have for our part," she added while we went back to our seats.
"Now then, last night and into this morning I looked into the Shie Hassaikai's finances and noticed that they have a warehouse near the harbor and we believe that this is where the children are being held. We also have two locations that could be their main HQ. All of you are here because we want you to help us with a raid on the warehouse to get these children out," Nezu explained, taking his place at the front.
"With all due respect I have to vote against doing anything against the Shie Hassaikai. I have been doing a long investigation into their drug manufacturing and dealing, specifically with Trigger and a newer drug that seems to damage the quirk factor on a molecular level. If there were to be a raid on one of their facilities it would make my investigation much more difficult if not impossible all together," Sir Nighteye argued.
"Wait, are you trying to say that some drug investigation is more important than child trafficking, imprisonment, and training them to fight?" Burnin asked, a snarl in her voice.
"Yes, this is bigger than a sidekick like you could imagine. Also, I have been working on my case for much longer than the child case has existed. Since my case has both existed and has a higher importance it takes precedence over this small time case which gives me lead on anything to do with either since it falls in my investigation and the child case is still under my agency," Sir Nighteye said.
"Not like you've done anything with it," Mirko muttered, anger evident in her voice.
"That being said," he continued, glaring at the rabbit hero. "I say that we don't do anything to jeopardize the higher priority case which is the drug case," Sir Nighteye declared, looking at the other heroes in the room. "However, my case might already be in jeopardy thanks to the actions of an overzealous sidekick who thought she should be a hero and save a child without thinking about the implications and consequences of her actions," he added, giving me a slight glare.
"Don't talk about my sidekick like that. Don't forget that I'm the one who gave her permission and decided that we should act. Also, how was she supposed to know about an investigation another agency was working on?" Supergirl snapped.
"Alright, let's all calm down. Also, Nighteye, Burnin and Bubble Girl might've been sidekicks but are now fully fledged pros like us so remember to treat them as such," Ryukyu calmly said, looking at everyone. "Now then, it looked like Nezu had more to add," she added, looking at him.
"Indeed, thank you Ryukyu," Nezu said. "Now, as for what Sir Nighteye said, had the corrupt HPSC still been active he would be correct. However, PSA has decided that they get to decide what case takes priority when two cases come into conflict. I reached out to them and they said that the child case is higher priority. They also approved a raid on the warehouse. Now, the meeting to plan the raid will be in a week, this was just an informative meeting. If the location of the HQ is discovered between now and then we might be able to plan a dual raid similar to what we did at Kamino. Now, are there any other issues?" he asked.
"Many, why are there first years here?" a hero with bright green hair asked, looking at Black Widow and myself. I recognized her as Ms. Joke. "I'm not against having work study interns, but why first years?"
"I agree, even if we are going to go through this raid, should we let people like her join us?" Sir Nighteye asked, looking pointedly at Black Widow but glancing at me. "She would just be getting in the way. We should call in some more big name heroes who could also be useful in a fight."
"You really don't think I can't win a fight because I'm quirkless?" Black Widow asked.
"Might I remind you that the winner of the Sports Festival was quirkless and even managed to beat me," Mirko said.
"I'd also like to point out that we tested her combat skills and she's stronger than you might think," Bubble Girl added.
"Then it just shows how low your standards have fallen to think she's strong," Sir Nighteye countered.
"I don't like how you're talking," I growled, glaring at the old sidekick.
"Well, no one asked your opinion," Togata snapped, looking at me.
"Lemillion, I don't need you to defend me," Sir Nighteye sighed. "That's some big talk for a first year, what are you going to do to stop me?"
"Why don't I beat you in a fight?" I asked.
"I would like to see you try," Lemillion snickered.
"Alright, I won't even use my quirk on you," he said, standing up.
"Oh, but I think you should. I wouldn't want to beat you while you are at a disadvantage," I countered, standing up.
"Batgirl," Supergirl said in a warning tone.
"Mirai," Nezu said, looking at the pro.
"Why not let them go at it? I'd love to watch Batgirl whoop his ass," Mirko commented.
"You underestimate Sir's abilities," Lemillion snarked.
"We trained with Batgirl and she's strong enough to tell how to beat the four of us working together," Mandalay added.
"I am more than enough to take you down," I said, looking at him.
"I would watch your tongue if I were you nu-," Sir started.
"ENOUGH!" Ryukyu yelled. "We are all professionals here and shouldn't be fighting each other. Nighteye, I've seen Black Widow and Batgirl fight, they are more than capable in a fight and will be good assets since they've already proven to be able to calm young children down and gain their trust with ease. This isn't for us, this is for the children who are being held captive and need our help. Sir Nighteye, you need to realize that both Batgirl and Black Widow have done more than you have done with this case that you requested to have from me. Because of your actions of sitting on this case these children have suffered, so you are lucky I don't request you to be removed from this matter altogether. Trusting you to get this done was a mistake so prove yourself to me that you aren't all bark and no bite," Ryukyu snarled.
"Now then, I think this meeting is over. If you find any information bring it to the Stark Agency since they will be taking head. Thank you for your time," Nezu said, ending the meeting.
I watched as Sir Nighteye and Lemillion stood up and walked out of the room as fast as they could. After they left Ms. Joke, Midnight, Eraserhead, The WWP, and Arrowette all stood up and walked out with Arrowette giving me a look saying we would talk.
"Well, we aren't being paid to sit on our asses, I'm going on patrol," Burnin said, standing up and walking out.
"I'll join you on that," Bubble Girl added, joining her partner as they left.
"Sorry for losing my cool there at the end," I sighed, deactivating my changer since everyone in the room knew my identity.
"It's fine, you weren't really in the wrong, I just wanted to stop you from going too far and actually fighting him," Supergirl said.
"Well, we gotta get going on our patrol. Thank you for including us on this raid," Ryukyu said, standing up and composing herself.
"I'm glad something's finally being done about this case," Static Arrow said, looking at us.
"Hey, think we can take in the other two girls that were saved?" Nejire-Chan asked, looking at Static.
I didn't hear the response because I was looking at Black Widow and noticed her stiffening a bit at the comment.
"Um," Lizardy said.
"Don't worry, you don't have to join until later," Ryukyu promised her.
"You have been excused from classes, along with Black Widow, Batgirl, Nejire-Chan, and Static Arrow," Nezu added.
"Hey Black Widow, Lizardy, I wanna talk with you real quick. Wanna get changed and then talk?" I asked, motioning to the door.
"Sure," Lizardy said, as Black Widow just nodded.
The three of us started to walk towards the changing rooms when a small fox ran out of the sparing room and passed us faster than we understood.
"Ahri! Get back here you bitch!" Akali yelled, chasing after her with a spray bottle in their hands.
I looked to the door to see Evelynn with a smirk on her face while Seraphine stood behind her slightly pouting as Kai'sa tried to cheer her up.
"Alright can't not ask what happened," I said.
"We were sparring while Foxy was in her fox form and she went to bite Sera. Unluckily Sear reacted slowly and Ahri's attack hit its mark, but only after Sera turned. So instead of biting her shoulder she bit the nip if you get what I'm saying," Evelynn explained, a bit of mirth in her voice.
"So what's with the spray bottle?" Lizardy asked.
"That's been a thing since it happened to Akali years ago," Kai'sa said.
"I'm not really mad, I'm just embarrassed that it happened," Seraphine whined.
"Well, I think we should go get them before they destroy this place," Evelynn decided, walking down the way they went.
Other members then followed her.
"Well that definitely made today a whole lot better," I admitted, snickering.
"After that meeting, agreed," Lizardy sighed.
The three of us went into the locker room and changed into our normal clothes before I led us out to the roof.
"So, the two of you had some excitement yesterday it would seem," Setsuna said, smirking as we went to the edge and I leaned on it looking out.
"Yeah, and I think our lives might be getting more exciting," I sighed.
"So, are we going to be taking in all three of the girls? Because if so I'll have to move in with you to help look after all of them," Setsuna added.
"I-um-wha?" Melissa asked.
"It didn't take much for me to realize that both of you wanted to adopt the kids you saved. I don't mind us taking more kids, I've always wanted a big family and don't mind getting it sooner than I expected," Setsuna admitted.
"Are we really going to do this?" Melissa asked. "I don't want you to feel like I'm pushing you to this decision, but I grew up without a mother and dad was always stuck in the lab. I don't want another kid to go through that," she admitted.
"I grew up in a toxic household, after everything these girls have gone through I can't let them go into the system and deal with that," I sighed.
"I'll send Auntie Nemuri a message to see if she's alright with moving in with you guys," Setsuna said, taking out her phone.
"Bold of you to assume there's room for you," I said.
"I've been in that house and saw the hall that your room was in. There's more than enough bedrooms," she countered. "Also, if needed I could always just bunk with one of you," she added.
"I'll let Yumi know. So, do you think we're ready for a raid like this?" I asked, taking out my phone and sending her a message.
"I'm not dealing with this questioning. Why don't we go see the kids and talk to Nezu before we start down this path of self doubt?" Setsuna decided.
"Really, you're just in agreement with us taking them in. No nothing?" Melissa asked.
"Yeah, now, I wanna meet these little cuties that stole your hearts," Setsuna said, a smile gracing her lips.
"Ugh, why do you have to be so hot?" I groaned, leaning onto her and capturing her lips with mine.
"Because, I gotta do something to get ladies like you two to swoon for me," she said, smiling against my lips.
"Ugh, why do both of my girlfriends look so good together?" Melissa whined, wrapping her arms around us and placing quick pecks on each of our lips.
"Since the meeting took up most of the morning, let's grab some lunch and I'll send a message to Nezu," I said. My phone then buzzed. "Turns out he's already getting started on the papers for all three of them. He also stated that I am being named the official parent of them and you both will have secondary parental rights," I explained.
"So the same as with Satsuki?" Setsuna confirmed.
"Yup, now let's go get some food," I said, leading us down to the first floor and out of the building.
We went to a small sushi shop and sat down to eat our food. Once we were leaving I felt my phone vibrate. I looked to see it was from Supergirl.
Super: Something happened with the kids. Get here quick.
"We need to go," I said, taking off with the girls following me.
I ran into the doors and made my way up to the area they were in to see Supergirl, Nezu, and Ms. Tatsuma along with her daughters.
"What happened?" Setsuna asked.
"There was a small villain fight outside and the girls started to freak out. Nejire and Yuyu are on their way to help too," Ms. Tatsuma explained. "The reason we came out was because they started to use their quirks and we didn't want to get hurt or the girls."
"The three of us can go in to try to calm them down. I'm sure the three of us can start to calm them down," I said.
"Are you sure?" Supergirl asked.
"Yeah, we got it," Melissa confirmed.
"Alright, just be careful," Nezu said.
"Yes sir," I said, opening the door as the three of us went in. "I'll get Eri."
"I got Satsuki and Yuki since they should be easier to calm down," Set added.
"I'll try to calm down Laura and Amara," Melissa said.
The three of us split up and went towards the different children.
"Hey Eri, it's alright no one is going to hurt you," I calmly said, walking over to her.
"Stop, don't hurt me, I-I'll be good. Don't hurt me," she muttered.
"Hey, you're here with me, not with the bad man. I saved you from him. He can't get to you now," I calmly said, moving closer to her but stopping as her hands sparkled a bit. "Eri, look at me. I'm not one of the bad men, am I?" I asked, realizing that it must've been her quirk.
For a moment she stopped her shaking and hesitated.
"It's me, Batgirl," I added, trying to knock her out of the panic attack.
"B-Batgirl?" she asked.
"Yeah, remember, I saved you from him," I confirmed.
She looked up and her red eyes met my green ones for a moment before the sparkling stopped. She then lunged at me and tackled me in a hug.
"I-I'm safe?" she asked, her voice small.
"Yeah, you're safe," I said, hugging her. "Can you do something for me? You know that nice lady and the girls that were with her? Can you wait with them outside of this room? Supergirl, my friend that helped me and flew you here, she's out there too," I said.
"D-do I have to?"
"I need to help the others in here so they don't hurt each other or themselves on accident," I explained.
"O-okay," she said, moving to the door and opening it.
I looked over to see Set struggling to calm the two girls both in their hybrid forms. I then looked to see Melissa already calmed the blonde and was using her to calm the other girl down. I went over to Yuki and sat down and met her eyes with mine.
"Hey Yuki, I know you're scared, and that's alright, but I need you to calm down for me alright?" I said, looking at her.
"Grr," she growled looking at me.
"Yuki, you're scared. But you don't want to hurt us, do you?" I said, pushing, looking directly in her eyes and seeing them shift a bit back to normal.
Deciding to push my luck I reached out and gave her a hug. I felt her wrap her small arms around me. I heard the creaking of the door and saw Hado and Haya standing there looking and smiling at me making my heart melt. I stood up and took Yuki over to them. When Yuyu went to take her she held onto me for a moment before going over, albeit with some hesitation. It made my heart quiver with how she wanted to stay with me. I turned and looked to see Setsuna had Satsuki wrapped around her in a bear(wolf?) hug. I noticed that Melissa had the blonde one in her lap and the black haired one sitting next to her but looked like she was not happy but leaned on Melissa anyways. I went out and picked Eri up before looking back into the room and realized that these were who would be my downfall because of my feelings and love for everyone in the room, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
AN-
Sorry this took so long, I had to make a lot of decisions on what to include and not and it was difficult. Also, if you enjoyed the scene with KDA in it expect some more small things like that because they are my favorite polyship as well as how their interactions can work with how all of them are different. So, the next chapter will be some soft fluffiness with Izumi and them. Then the raid and after that we will be taking a break from most heavy events. If you have anything you want to see in terms of interactions let me know. Make sure to follow, favorite, comment, and kudos! Link Out!
