Chapter 11: A day with the Ferret, Run Omoi Run.
Land of Lightning, Cloud village,
It was Morning In the hidden cloud village The most forceful and military like village in the elemental nations, or as its original name that barely anyone uses Terra.
Omoi was walking about in the village heading to meet his Sensai Killer B. As he was walking he noticed that some of his fellow ninjas were giving him a very 3 disdain look As he was walking he noticed that some of his fellow ninjas were giving him disdain looks. He didn't let it bother him because for the last 2 years hes dealt with backlash for his actions involving him, Yugito and Samui deserting the village to ask for help from the Black Spider Clan, and Leaf Village to help them stop the Storm cloud that was being formed by the goddesses of lightning that were released due to their actions.
All he got was a few months suspension while Yugito and Samui were banished from the village. He's not all that worried about them because he knows they were most likely taken in by the black spiders. He's more worried about his other teammate that's been missing for just as long Karui.
After a few minutes he finally reached his Sensai Killer B's house In the middle of a lake and there was Killer B sitting sitting on top of the house meditating. "Hey there B Sensai!" Omoi called out.
B Look down at his student before jumping down. "~Omoi my boyo! Glad you came to see your favorite rap master killer B!~"
"Yeah well, Lord Raikage sent me here to check up on you and make sure you aren't doing anything crazy." Omoi said.
"~Crazy me? What kind of crazy shenanigans does my bro expect from me~?"
"Well you did try to go to the Chunin exams without promising especially since our village refused to participate. But given what happened over at the Sand Village it probably was a good call." Omoi said as he explained the event of the last Chunin exam.
"~Very unfortunate for the sand the Akatsuki's actions have gone way beyond bad~." B said rapping his words.
"Well there's a lot of word going around that they were responsible... Do you think they're going to come after Yugito next?"
"Maybe, but going chronological order isn't very sneaky. Trying to predict what these guys will do will make it easy for them to fool you." B said before deeply thinking about something. "There's something not right here, something that we still don't know, These guys may be more formidable foes.~"
"What do you mean? The village already established that they're just a bunch of rogues." Omoi said.
"Call It a gut feeling." B replied.
Not far from them on top of a hill there was a man wearing a black hooded coat with Red Cloud designs he was carrying what looked to be a purple crossbow sniper rifle. He got on the ground and entered a sniper position aimed straight for the 2 cloud ninja. "So which one should I hit 1st? The wannabe rapper, Or the little squeamish speedster? Decisions decisions." The hooded man said switching between targets before settling on Omoi. "Let's see how fast you are running away, little runner." He said before pulling the trigger.
Back down with the teacher and student B suddenly pushed Omoi away before summoning one of his tentacle tails to block an explosive dart projectile. "What the? Where did that come from?!"
"Omoi, Run away, I gotta feeling this guy's bringing a dart parade!" B ordered as he started blocking more darts.
"But Sensai, I can't just leave you here."
"Go Now!" B yelled no longer rapping.
Omoi Reluctantly complied and glowed red using his spirit energy to increase his speed and moved in a flash of red.
B was standing ready for the next shot only it never came, Instead a dark portal appeared if you a few feet away from him. The person that came out was a man wearing a black-and-white zebra striped cloak. "Killer B, The 8 tails Jinchuriki and one of the few who has mastered complete secretization with they're tailed beast."
"~Looks like my reputation continues to Perceive me. But what business do you have with the rap master B?~" B asked but already knowing who does person probably is and preparing to fight.
"True, I've heard so much about you, despite how you play the fool you are a very cunning and formidable ninja. Cutting you off the list in advance will make things easier for us and also progress the plan." The zebra coat man said as he summoned 2 laser like swords. "So to answer your question I am here for your tails."
B responded by unsheathing all 7 of his small swords holding them in a very unique and weird fashion. "~I don't usually put on a show for crooks but let me allow me to show you my hooks~."
With Omoi ran all the way to the gate leading to B's house. There he saw two guards. "Guys Quickly! Someone's attacking B! We need to call backup!" Omoi said frantically.
"Wow now! Just wait a minute and explain okay." One of the cards said.
"Now what exactly is going on-" The 2nd guard said before he was suddenly shot through the head. And not a second later the 2nd guard got shot in the leg forcing him on the ground.
"Thanks for setting them up for me partner!" The hood sniper called out to Omoi Confusing him. "The Boss should be taking care of the 8 tails right about now."
"What?!" Omoi said confused and scared for his teacher.
"You traitor! You sold us out to the Akatsuki!" The surviving guardman said before taking out a radio.
"Wait No! I have no idea what hes." Omoi Was about to explain until he noticed the hood a figure was about to shoot at him and quickly ran away.
"Code Red, Code Red! The Akatsuki have infiltrated the village! Omoi has betrayed us, and B is under attack! We need backup now!" The guard said before he was shot through the chest killing him instantly.
The hooded man smirked evilly as kept his eye on the running Omoi. "Oh, This is going to be fun."
Greece, Botanical garden.
Naruto and Kaoru were In a large dome garden surrounded by lots of plants. Naruto was sitting down in one of the indoor benches while watching Kaoru taking notes of the plants that she was observing.
"Man, The more I look at her the more she just reminds me of Hideki. I bet if she was still alive today she would definitely look just as hot as Kaoru is." Naruto said before noticing Kaoru bending down giving him a good look at her butt of her slim black shorts. This caused him to blush before turning away.
"Hello Naruto." Naruto as he turned his head saw a small talking Slug.
"Katsuyu?" Naruto said surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"Lady Tsunade sent me here to deliver this to you." Katsuyu from her mouth brought out a crystal flower.
"A Memory flower? Why give me this?" Naruto asked.
"Danzo was executed a few days ago and when Tsunade went through his home and office she found that he a dozen memory flowers that held the last Testament of the 3rd Hokage one of them was addressed to you. She also wanted me to let you know that no one saw it."
"The old man left a Testament for me?" Naruto said surprised as he remembered the last time they spoke.
Flash Back
2 years ago, Leaf Village, Hokage's office
We Find ourselves in the past 2 years ago and 2 nights ago before the day of the Chunin exam finals. Hiruzen Sarutobi the 3rd Hokage was looking out the window of his office seeing people getting ready for the festival before the finals. He then heard a knock on his door. "Come in Naruto." The 3rd said already expecting him.
The door opened to reveal a twelve year old Naruto. "Hey there gramps Pervy sage said you wanted to see."
"Yes I did, But first why don't you sit down there's a lot we need to talk about." the 3rd said as Naruto sat down. "First how's you're training going? The finals are just around the corner and people are expecting the finalist to bring their best."
"If you're worrying about my fight with Neji don't worry I'm more than ready." Naruto replied. "Sure I know a lot of people are expecting me to lose but they'll be in for surprise."
"Such confidence and reassurance you really do remind me of your parents." Hiruzen said turning around to look at Naruto.
"My parents?" Naruto said confused. "I would appreciate the compliment if I knew who they were."
"Yes, You certainly would... I say this is as good a time as any to tell you everything, I've held this off long enough." Hiruzen said.
"Oh, So you're finally going to tell me about my parents? About time I've been curious for the longest." Naruto said feeling anxious.
"Not just that, I'm about to tell you why the 4th sealed the 9 tails in you 12 years ago." Hiruzen said confusing Naruto. "Naruto why do you think you were chosen to become the vessel for the 9 tail Fox?"
"I don't know? I figured he just needed someone to seal the oversized furball into and I was the most convenient vessel." Naruto stated.
Hiruzen signed at that statement. "It was more than that 2 reasons actually. One of them was that sealing a monster as powerful as the 9 tails would take someone with a body of strong vitality. You see Naruto you are from the Uzumaki clan. A Clan that is well known for sealing techniques as well as strong vitality and life force. So you were the only person capable of holding it."
"Oh... I guess that kind of makes sense doesn't make me less appreciative. What's the 2nd reason?" Naruto said now understanding some of the reason why he was chosen.
The 3rd was silent before taking a deep breath and pulling out a picture. "There Aren't a lot of pictures of the 4th Hokage and honestly I didn't want you to see any of them until I thought you were ready. What all do you know about him?"
"Well not much, he was famous for being the fastest ninja in the world and that he was a student of Jiraiya." Naruto answered.
"Not just that, he was also teammates with Retsu, and Joe." Hiruzen said shocking Naruto who never knew that. "They weren't really an Official team because they didn't go through team selection, Jiraiya was Minato's Teacher but later on got asked to look after Joe and Retsu. But anyway here's a picture of the 4th Hokage." The 3rd said placing a photo on the table.
Naruto looked at the picture and his eyes widened. Is the pitcher showed a man with blonde spiky hair with bangs and blue eyes. "Is this really what the 4th Hokage looks like?" The 3rd nodded. "But he almost looks exactly like me, but that would mean."
"Yes Naruto, The 4th Hokage Minato Nanikaze Is your father." Hiruzen said Finally confessing the truth he has kept all these years from Naruto.
Naruto was not sure what to say next. The man responsible for putting the nine tails in him that made people hate him was his father. "If he's my father then who was my mother?"
"Kushina Uzumaki, she was the former Jinchuriki of the nine tails." Hiruzen said.
"If she was the Jinchuriki before me then what happened that lead to me becoming the new one?" Naruto asked trying is best to keep calm.
"To this day I still don't completely know what happened on that day. Kushina was to give birth to twins in a Secret location away from the village just in case if the 9 tails escaped. I figured things were going well until suddenly in a puff of smoke the 9 tails appeared in the center of the village. We fought hard to suppress it long enough for your father to come and teleport it away from village. After regaining our bearings me and a few Anbu went to the area where we saw Minato seal the 9 tails into you." Hiruzen explained.
"...You said my mother was giving birth to twins, what happened to my twin?" Naruto asked.
"Your twin is a girl named Kairi who was token in Joe as were your parents request." Hiruzen answered.
To his surprise Naruto just remained quiet before asking another question. "Why didn't I go to Joe or Unohana Sensai?"
"They wanted to but the Hyabusa village was so far away where so few knew, and Retsu wanted you to live in the capital and not in the village. They both made compelling arguments but in the end me and village Council could not allow our villages not Jinchuriki to be so far away from the village." Hiruzen answered.
"...I see, By council do you mean you and your teammates as well as the clan heads, and street district heads?" Naruto asked.
"Yes." Hiruzen said. He noticed how quiet Naruto was. "I know that you must feel a lot of anger towards your father for what happened, But understand he did not want you to be seen as a monster in fact he wanted you to be seen as a hero."
"Oh don't worry I completely understand now!" Naruto to the thirds surprise said with a closed eye smile. "I mean when you think about it my father at least tried to set me up with good people so I could at least have a good life, So it would totally be unfair to blame him for my problems!"
Hiruzen signed in relief. "That's really good to hear and a very mature response, Naruto."
"Oh no don't thank too much on it, I said that I don't blame dad but that doesn't mean I don't blame you and the village!" Naruto screamed with a face of pure anger. "How could you go against my birth parents's last wishes and Not tell me who my parents were?!"
"Naruto It wasn't an easy decision to make I had to do what was best for the village, Also I had to keep The Secret about your lineage in order to protect you from your father's enemies." The 3rd said trying to explain calmly.
"You kept me away from my sister who might have been my only family, and I only asked why you didn't tell Me about my parents." Naruto Countered, Telling him about his parents wasn't telling the world. "Did you really do it for me or did you do it just for 4th Hokage and the village, Because I think it's the ladder."
Hiruzen was unsure of what to say next. "Perhaps It was unwise to tell you after all."
This responds upset Naruto. "What were you expecting from me? To accept that Everything I've went through because of what my father did was worth it, And that I would just forgive you and the village. If you really wanted to protect me if you really cared about me you would have just Left me in twilight city!"
"Could not allow that Naruto. You are the son of Minato Nanikaze and Kushina Uzumaki and you belong here."
"No! I am the son of Medea and my father was Marisberry Animusphere who died because of your friend!" Naruto said putting a look of shock on the third's face. "You know what, I'm tired of this, I'm tired of talking with you." Naruto said heading towards the door.
"Wait Naruto! You're not done talking!" Hiruzen ordered getting up to walk towards the boy.
"You stay away me! I hate you! You and this village, why can't you all just leave me alone?!" Naruto screamed Before running out the office not noticing the look of hurt on the 3rd hokage's face.
Flash Back Ends
"Hey Naruto? Are you still with me?" Naruto was pulled out of his thoughts by Kaoru who was in front of him looking concerned.
"Oh sorry about that, My mind was somewhere else." Naruto said still holding the message flower. "Anyway is there anything else you want to look at?"
"No I think I've seen all of the unique flowers this place has. I Already picked up the seeds at the seed stand so when we get back home we can grow them there together." Kaoru said holding a bag of seeds.
"Together? You mean as in you want to grow these flowers together with me?" Naruto asked confused and a bit flustered .
"Well yeah who else would I want to grow them with. I mean the others don't look like they're interested in gardening." Kaoru said.
"Well, You're right about that." Naruto replied.
Soon they left for the nearest arcade only to be disappointed that it was closed. Kaoru was slightly disappointed was going to suggest they head back to the villa but Naruto had another idea.
Before he told her he wanted to go to a Greek restaurant for to go food. It didn't take them long that's a find a place. After getting what they wanted Naruto led her to a forest that was in between the place they were and the place where the villa is.
"Hey Naruto, If you wanted to head back be could just took the bus it would have been much faster." Kaoru said.
"We're not heading back just yet I thought it would be more convenient if we were just halfway there. But anyway this should be a good spot." Naruto said confusing Kaoru. Naruto reached into his bag and took out a scroll. He opened it and did the release sign. And what appeared was a miniature size house. When they went inside It looked to be a studio size apartment with the essential things. A kitchen on one side, A bed and TV on the other side, One door leading to a small closet and another door leading to a bathroom, There was even a ladder leaning up to an addict. "I was thinking Instead of us playing and the crowded arcade we good play video games in here. I say I have a pretty good of variety."
"Wow, Already inviting me over to your own mobile apartment and on the 1st date. Kim was right you sure know how to Woo a girl." Kaoru teased.
"I thought we already established that this isn't a date." Naruto said a little embarrassed.
"Then what would you call it then?" Kaoru said taking off her shoes as she sat on the bed.
"A play date?" Naruto said putting the food on the kitchen counter and setting up his game systems. "So which game would you wanna play 1st"
"I have a few suggestions and I actually brought one of my favorites with me." She reached into her bag and brought out a game called Zatch bell.
"Wow I don't think I've played that game in a long time." Naruto said.
"I Used to play this a lot with my cousin and his best friend although he sucked at games. But this one was particularly his favorite." Kaoru said as they started playing while eating the food that they brought.
They were playing for about 3 hours when Naruto finally spoke up a conversation. "Hey, Now that I think about it I don't know anything about your family or your home life for that matter." Naruto said wanting to know more about the girl that hes beginning to spark a friendship with.
"Well It's not like you asked and it's not like it comes up in conversations often." Kaoru said. "But I guess this is as good a time as any. I am actually adopted."
"Really? I never would have guessed. What's your new family like and what was your old family like as well?" Naruto asked now curious.
"Well It's just me and my Adoptive mother. As for my old family it was pretty big, I had an older brother and my parents died when I was still very young so we were raised by my grandfather when he passed away it was just me and my brother. I have a lot of cousins but only 10 of them were around the age of me and my brother. I'd like a good few Uncle's and aunties although I don't remember them but I do remember One specific Uncle who was the monarch of our family and he was the father of the cousin I said wasn't very good and video games."
"How did you become an orphan with such a Big family?" Naruto asked.
"I, I Really don't want to get into the details but a Tragedy happened that caused the death of all the adults and young adults in my family and me and my 10 cousins got separated. As for my brother he... He died before the tragedy some saying he killed himself while others say he was murdered." Kaoru explained.
"Oh... I'm sorry to have made you explain that. Do you at least know where your cousins are?" Naruto asked.
"Me and my 4 cousins were Took it in by the same adoption agency although the guy that had custody over us wasn't a very nice man, he sent me away to live at a special boarding school and wouldn't let me see my cousins eventually he sent me to go live with my New mother and I was allowed to take my youngest cousin out of the 4 with me. But to this day I still haven't seen them or the other 6 although I heard 2 of them aren't doing so well."
"Wow this guy sounds like a jerk, But what about those 2 that you said aren't doing so well?" Naruto said wanting to know more. At this point they paused the game.
"They are the sons of my Uncle who was the head of our family. They used to be very close but now they are practically enemies. The older one's a wanted criminal and the youngest one is a delinquent. As I've been told." Kaoru said as somewhere in the elemental nations 2 brothers suddenly sneezed.
Naruto was silent for a few minutes. "Hey Kaoru, if you want I could-"
"Hey Naruto you don't mind if I step out for a little bit? I like to take a walk I won't go far." Kaoru asked.
"Of course Just be careful." Naruto said as Kaoru went out the door. Once she was gone Naruto swapped himself behind the head. "Moron! Why you have to make her explain a tragedy from her past?!" Naruto yelled at himself. Sure there was a possibility she made it up but he listened to her heart and there were no signs of deceit only sadness. "I better make sure to Apologize later for this."
Outside a few miles away Kaoru took out a small make up kit and use the mirror to look at herself. She then opened her mouth where there was a black sign for seal on it. "Looks like I'm able to tell him stuff so long as I'm not giving out names... How can it still be there if the boss man is supposed to be dead?" Kaoru wondered as she looked up and saw some black clouds which confused her because she checked the weather and there was no news about there being rain today.
She then whistled out and a black crow came from the trees and landed on her arm. In bird language it told her something that made her eyes widened. "How unfortunate, to think that She would be in Greece at a time like this. Could she be the cause of this storm?" Kaoru wondered as she looked up once again as the rain began to slowly come down before smiling mischievously. "Well at least I could utilize this weather. Naruto, Looks like you'll be mine for a little bit longer."
Land of Lightning, evening
Omoi was still running from the mysterious markson who was still shooting at him. No matter how fast he ran he was just barely able to dodge and with beginning to feel like he was being led somewhere.
Eventually the projectiles stop coming and he was finally able to take a breather. when he looked around he saw that he was near a docking bay. "Man that was scary. Who the heck was that guy and why was he sniping us? What if it wasn't enemy village or worse the Akatsuki! If that's so I gotta call the village fast!" Omoi said taking out his cell phone.
Before he could start dialing he felt the heat around him suddenly spike up And quickly jumped all the way to avoid a blast of fire that unfortunately made him drop his phone and it got destroyed it.
The person responsible was to his shock Atsui, Samui younger brother. After The event with the storm cloud he was one of the people who've verbally chastised him for his actions. From Omoi opinion he's just extremely angry how he departed from his sister as the last time they saw each other they fought. With him were at least 4 other cloud ninja. "Well look what we got here? Who were you about to call? Your partner's telling them you were ready to be picked up?" He said with an angry and snarchy remark.
"Atsui I know you don't like me but you gotta hear me out. I think the Akatsuki have infiltrated the village and B Sensai is in trouble and I have a sniper on my tail!" Omoi said before quickly dodging another fireball.
"Is that the best excuse you got at least try to sell more convincing you Traitor! The guard already reported you before you and your partner killed him! No wonder orders bring you back either dead or alive." Atsui said with a very angry but battle hungry look.
"If I turn myself in will you guys at least hear me out?" Omoi asked hoping that if they take him in alive he might be able to plead his case.
"Sorry but we're going for dead!" Atsui said as he and his squad went to attack.
Greece
Naruto was waiting patiently for Kaoru to return he then heard the faint sound of rain and then opened up the blind to see that it was pouring down. "What the? There was nothing in the forecast about it raining... Oh Crap Kaoru!"Naruto quickly went to the door to open it and to his surprise he saw Kaoru rush right in. "It looks like you're a walk was cut short." Naruto said as he could feel the intense wind quickly closed the door.
"Oh man! My hair's a mess and my dress shirt is all soaked!" Kaoru complained Before taking off her shirt leaving her in her white bra and slim black shorts. She looked at Naruto who was trying in vain not to look at her. "Hey Naruto do you mind if I use your bathroom, Also do you have a shirt I can borrow?"
This broke the blonde out of his dazs as he quickly composed himself. "Yeah sure of course, and I think I should have At least the one shirt in there." Naruto said. "Sorry if I don't have any female clothes lying around."
"Oh So I'm the 1st girl you ever brought in here huh?" Kaoru said giving the blonde a naughty look before going into the bathroom.
"Why am I being such a nervous wreck today?!" Naruto screamed in his head. He went over to the window to see the storm still going strong if not more ferocious than before. "Oh boy, we might be stuck out here If the weather doesn't clear up. Best to check the news."
Naruto looked at the TV and change it to a regular Weather Channel. They were already talking about unexpected rainstorm and It appears it might last all night going into morning. And it seems to be worse in Athens which isn't that far from Ilios. "It looks like we'll be staying out here tonight. I should call someone back at the villa to let them know where we are."
Naruto took out his phone and dialed Theressa. After a few pauses she picked up. "I was just about to call you to see where you and Kaoru were, where are you two?"
"We're In the woods in between Athens and Ilios, I summoned my portable apartment so we're safe from the rain. what about everyone else are they already back?" Naruto asked.
"Mostly the boys and a few of the girls, some of the girls went shopping in Athens and were planning to see a concert for tomorrow night. They were on their way back here until the rain started pouring. Lucky for them Marie has her own magical apartment too so they should be okay in fact I just got off the phone with them not that long ago. Although the only ones I haven't heard from are Hoki and Namida. I know those 2 are strong in their own right but I find it weird that they haven't checked in and Wasabi is worried." Theresa explained.
"I'm sure those 2 are fine but if we haven't heard anything back from them tomorrow do you want me to go looking?" Naruto asked.
"That's the plan, but who knows they could turn up any minute." Theressa replied. "But Anyway just stay dry you two and hopefully I'll see you all safe in the morning good night."
"Sure thing good night." Naruto said hanging up. He soon heard the door to the bathroom open an outcame Kaoru wearing a black shirt and dark blue high waste slim underwear shorts.
"So what's the situation?" Kaoru asked.
"It looks like we're stuck here until morning. I already called my aunt and told her the situation." Naruto answered. "So now that we got that settled do you want to continue a playing."
"Nah! How about we turn in for the night. that rain has got me pretty tired." Kaoru suggested.
"Oh, OK then you can take the bed and I'll bring out a futon for myself." Naruto said walking toward the closet only for Kaoru grab him by the hand to stop him.
"There's no need for that I don't mind sharing a bed with you, and besides I'm the guest I feel Awful if I made my host sleep on the floor."
This made Naruto blush before taking a deep breath and sigh. "Look Kaoru, I have fun today really I did, Probably more fun than I had in a long time. But don't you think it's about time you stop with the teasing. I mean you know I'm dating Kim and it's already gonna be pretty awkward when she finds out we went out together and had to spend the night to boot. This just feels wrong you know."
"Naruto do you think I'm a girl that would try to steal her friend's boyfriend?" Kaoru said sounding serious. "I already told Kim we were going out today and.." Kaoru looked away slightly embarrassed while playing with her curly hair.
"And what?" Naruto asked.
"On the boat ride here I told Kim I think I might have a thing for you. So I asked her would it be OK if I asked you out. She seemed a bit taken aback but she said she wouldn't really mind saying she's used to it, So I asked you out to see if there was a spark between us, and I definitely have been feeling it for a while now. But what about you." Kaoru asked looking Naruto in the eyes with a blush. "Look If you don't like me that way then I'll understand but I would really like it if you made me one of your girls."
Naruto wasn't sure on what to say. There was a clear and obvious spark between them and nearly everyone has been teasing him on how obvious it is. Not to mention his Dragon instincts that still leaks out from time to time have been screaming for him to take her. He could fight those instincts and just try to be just friends with her but deep down he knew that what he really wanted was. "Lights off." Naruto said As the lights turned off and he Did a quick chant that changed his clothes to night Clothes which were pajama shirt and pants. "Let me know if I'm being too pushing, OK?"
"Of course." Kaoru replied.
Naruto hesitated but eventually he leaned in and kiss her on the lips and it just fell right. Soon they were both in the bed laying down next to each other kissing. Kaoru had her right hand behind his head and caressing his cheek. Naruto Had his left hand on her upper back and his right on her lower back. Soon enough they stopped look at each other.
"Best play date ever." Kaoru said.
"Best play date so far." Naruto replied before kissing her again.
Outside on a tree branch the crow from earlier was observing the house until it noticed a purple eagle flying around.
Land of Lightning, Docking port
What was once a port for ships was now a mess of fire and wood. Atsui and the others cloud ninjas were on the ground unconscious and Omoi who was heavily injured with his ninja gear all in tatters with his sword destroyed barely standing.
