The flight to The Conformatorium was uneventful until the sky had darkened due to a storm that was forming around the main tower of the Medieval and Victorian castle. "So… Is this some kind of prison?" Luz looked to Eda for an explanation of this Final Fantasy final boss kind of building. "Well, kind of… Although, the Emperor's laws are kind of bullshit for some people held up there." Eda explained as they landed close to the entrance of the prison.
Something caught Luz's attention as she turned to several wanted posters displayed close by. One was showing Eda, as well as the huge bounty placed on her. The other one though seemed to be for someone known as Vegeta, the Saiyan Barbarian who is seen cracking his knuckles with a smirk while having an abnormal nose drawn in a comedic fashion. King immediately let out a hysterical laugh as he saw this. "Oh my god, Nappa's drawings of your rival is quite the riot. Wouldn't you agree?" The Demon Puppy asked as he looked towards Eda who was laughing a bit as well.
"Oh! You got that right, King." The Witch Woman declared, "I bet he is gonna be pissed as hell when he sees this. His fragile ego is very fun to laugh at when he gets overconfident." She added on as she tried to recompose herself for the mission at hand.
Luz was a bit shocked to hear that Eda had a rival, but when she looked back at the posters. It actually made sense due to how the two shared a similarly priced bounty on their heads. She then pocketed the two posters for the Witch Woman and Saiyan Warrior. "So, how are we gonna break into this place, hm?" King asked as he crossed his arms due to his impatient attitude.
Eda and Luz both tried to come up with a solid plan before Eda snapped her fingers as an idea came to her head. She then tried to find a nearby window as she asked, "You think you can take King with you as I cause a distraction for The Warden?" Yet, Luz seemed a bit confused by this idea. "Shouldn't I need some kind of disguise? For all I know, Witches in The Isles don't take kindly to humans." Luz threw in due to thinking it would be a bit dumb of her to just walk in.
However, both King and Eda just looked at her as if she was a moron. "You do know that you can be mistaken for a Saiyan, Right?" King questioned with a sense of sass in his voice. "I have to agree with King here. Saiyans look identical to humans. If you were around when they first arrived, you would need a monkey tail to pass as one. Luckily, they evolved to no longer need that over time." Eda added on with an eye roll.
After blinking a few times in realization, Luz immediately facepalmed at this. "Right… Also, I can take King with me, but what would you need us to do once The Warden is distracted?" She asked while scratching her right cheek. "Well, once he is distracted we would need you to open the door to where they are holding my crown, of course!" King shouted as he thrust his arms in excitement. Once the three had agreed on their plan, they split up to carry out their roles as Eda levitated Luz and King to a nearby window to get inside. Once they were inside and Luz gave a thumbs up to confirm this, Eda took off on her staff to figure out what kind of distraction she would cause this time around. Since this wasn't close to her first time inside one of The Emperor's Prisons and broke out.
Luz and King made their way through the complex halls and pathways of the prison before managing to enter the room where several cells were seen. Each one had an occupant inside. One was a girl who was just a small head with ginger-colored hair and a large nose. The next one had some kind of entity who had too many eyes on its body, yet would occasionally eat some of them, which weirded out Luz a bit. The Third cage was a catgirl with brown-colored skin, black hair, with it done in a style where it would hang like a bun on the back of her head. The last one was another girl who had numerous bruises on her body and had crazy black spikey hair. She clearly seemed to be some kind of street brawler as Luz tried to make her way to the nearby lever.
Although, the catgirl caught notice of her as she rushed to the door of her cell. "Hey! Saiyan girl! Let us out!" She announced as the other prisoners looked towards Luz and King. The Street Brawler looked over Luz a bit with curiosity before she asked, "How exactly did you manage to get out of your cell and not be caught by Wrath? You clearly aren't capable of taking on that weird polymorph demon…" The Tomboy asked with a raised eyebrow as she got up.
Luz took offense at this comment as she glared at the tomboy, "I am no pushover, lady. Also, I am not a criminal either." She added on. "Neither are we. Well, minus Caulifla next to me, though…" The Catgirl told Luz while gesturing to the Saiyan Teen, "She is often here due to her getting into fights that lead to the destruction of property charges, based on what I heard from the others." She continued as Caulifla gritted her teeth in rage. "Can It, Katya!" She told her cellmate as she punched the wall, causing it to crack due to her strength.
"Ok… So, what are the rest of you here for?" Luz questioned as she ignored the tomboy. "I am here since I enjoy writing fanfictions of vegetables falling in love with each other with amazing lore." Katya told her. "I am here due to my belief that we are just in a simulation meant to appease The Elder Gods!" Announced the Talking Head. "I am here due to my unhealthy habit of eating my own eyes…" Explained the multiple-eyed entity with embarrassment. Yet, Luz was dumbfounded by these charges, since it was nothing more than being weird. "That… Doesn't make any sense… Why are you thrown into prison for just being weird and different?" The Hispanic girl questioned as she was reminded of her own horrible experiences of just being different on Earth. She was treated like a monster due to her overwhelming power, shamed for expressing her Bisexuality to someone who she thought was close to her, and bullied for being just plain different.
King took notice of this as he looked at Luz in concern. "Hey Luz," He began while trying to comfort her, "Are you ok?" He asked before a pair of heavy footsteps were heard approaching the room. This snapped Luz out of her thoughts as she hid within a cell as she shut the door behind to play off that she was a new prisoner. However, she did not notice that Eda's wanted poster had fallen out of her pocket as she entered the cell. The massive doors open as a large bald Saiyan Guardsman wearing heavy-duty combat armor colored black and yellow walks in. "Alright pipsqueaks! What is this noise all about?" He announced, yet his voice seemed to project that he was a complete idiot who had somehow got this job.
The Talking Head came up with an idea on the spot as she shouted, "It is because it is time for us to be released! Our time here is finished, Nappa." She also threw up her fist in the air for effect. This made Nappa's eyes widen due to this, "Really!? I didn't realize. I'll go let you guys out once I find the keys." He said without a second thought, expressing how dumb he was. Yet, before Nappa could leave the room, The Warden had walked into the room with clear irritation on his face before slapping Nappa NCIS Style in anger. "Titan Damn it, Nappa! How many times are you gonna fall for that stunt!?" He shouted in rage.
The Warden dressed in a plague doctor's outfit and even displayed a higher ranking due to the design. His skin was the same color of concrete as he morphed one of his hands into a key while approaching the pale head's cell to let her out. "Ya! I am finally free!" She announced before she was strangled by The Warden after he morphed the key into several restraints. "Let her be an example to the rest of you. If you don't conform to society, you will be outcasted and left for dead." He told Caulifla, Katya, Luz, and the Eye Entity. As Caulifla held up her middle finger at him, Wrath stepped on top of Eda's poster.
Both Nappa and Wrath were confused by how that had gotten into the room, as Wrath picked it up before crushing it in rage. "I swear Eda Clawthrone. I will be the one to capture you…" He announced aloud. "You gonna ask her out too?" Nappa asked as he held his hand towards the 'prisoners' to keep them from hearing. The Warden blushed hard as he punched him with a sledgehammer hand, causing him to crash into Luz's Cell. "Jeez… You didn't need to do that… It is best to talk about your feelings rather than keep them locked away. That isn't healthy." Nappa said as he followed Wrath into the other room as he begged the Bald Saiyan to shut up.
The words of The Warden, however, keep repeating in Luz's head over and over. It was something that she hated to be true wherever she was, but why did it need to be true? Why does it Matter So Much to conform to society, despite how toxic and heartless it is for the person? "Why have people become so damn concerned with how someone chooses to live and who they chose to be, rather than what is actually right and wrong?" Luz muttered aloud as energy began to crackle around her due to rage building up. She quickly punched the bar of her cell off of their hinges as everyone else jumped in fear.
"I am so damn tired of hearing that phrase everywhere I go. I had enough of that Bullcrap!" Luz declared as she headed towards the door, as King hesitantly caught up with the Hispanic Girl as he tried to imagine what she was forced to go through before coming here.
