Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadows of the Force. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY and Star Wars. Monty Oum, Lucas Films, and Rooster Teeth do.
Blaster fire kicked up clouds of ice and snow as entrenched clones fired upon rows of battle droids. Lerek turned and sliced one of the droids in half, leaving the machine sparking in the snow as he and Ruzul looked over the crowds of droids.
"Maybe we should have asked for backup," Lerek stated as he turned to his friend.
"Maybe you shouldn't have temped the force," Ruzul responded, throwing a load of snow onto the column of droids.
"Did anyone have an eye on the relic?" Lerek asked as he turned to look at the droids.
Lerek frowned a moment later, he was putting the objective over lives. That was NOT what he felt like doing… So, he turned to Ruzul.
"Get the artifact, I'll stay here and scrap these tinnies," Lerek stated, pausing to look at his deep blue saber.
The relic was important but to Lerek? It was secondary to all the lives of his troops here. He turned to Ruzul and nodded to the beam of light.
"Go, I'm not letting my men die for nothing," Lerek stated before leaping down to land in front of the clones.
The squads of B1s and B2s shifted their aim to the Jedi, already realizing he was more dangerous than the clones firing at them. They were at least smart enough to question what would happen if the Jedi reached them.
"You are not like your people," Ruzul added and chuckled before rushing into the snow.
He leaped ahead of the fighting, watching AATs and AT-TEs trade blaster fire. Above them, Vulture Droids and ARC fighters traded canon fire in the skies overhead.
Ruzul started to rush towards the beam of light, leaping ahead of the clones and droids.
(With the Sith Relic)
A group of B1s stood around a console to which a hooded figure hummed as they tapped buttons on the console. The droids had done their job setting up the equipment, but it would be HER.
"I would step away from the console, assassin." The Sith heard before she turned to block a force push.
The droids were thrown into the icy walls and shattered to pieces as the figure removed their hood. They looked at the Jedi with icy blue eyes.
"Jedi…" The Sith hissed as she grabbed two cylinders from her hips.
The lightsabers glowed in the snow as Ruzul drew his greenish blade from his belt and ignited it.
"Dooku sent you to do his dirty work again, Ventress?" Ruzul asked as he leaped onto the ice in front of her.
"No, killing Jedi is simply a hobby," Ventress stated and rushed forward to kill the Jedi.
Ruzul ducked the first strike and pushed Ventress backward with the force. He heard more whirling as the artifact seemed to power up more.
"Do you even know what this relic will do?" Ruzul questioned, locking blades with Ventress. "Or does Dooku just send you to do his bidding like a good lapdog?" Ruzul asked while he slashed at Ventress who dodged the strike.
Which went right through the console the droids had set up as sparks flew from the machinery. The relic began to whirl faster and faster as energy crackled from it.
"What did you do, Jedi!?" Ventress hissed as black and red beams began to emerge from the relic.
That was before a massive bolt of energy threw the two apart as a pulse was sent across the entire planet.
Ruzul swore he heard Lerek's voice over his commlink as he was thrown into a frozen ravine by the bolts.
(With Lerek)
Lerek turned and decapitated a B1 before an explosion in the air caused him to look up. A Y-wing slammed into the snow, its stockpile of proton bombs detonating in a light show which took several clones, droids, and AATs with it.
"Ruz? We aren't going to be able to back you up." Lerek stated as he took cover with some clones. "They've got an entrenched position. I'm calling in a bombing run to make a gap in their defenses, you there?" Lerek asked before sighing and taking cover.
He blinked and felt something on his nose. A speckle of snow, he paused to wipe it off his nose before pausing.
The snowdrop sat suspended in the air like someone using force. It was then Lerek noted that ALL of the snow was suspended in the air.
'What the hell? Is someone using the force?' Lerek asked himself mentally before a blinding light took over the battlefield.
Clones and droids were knocked to the ground as Lerek squeezed his eyes shut. Had the relic been destroyed, was this the object's doing? He needed answers, yet…
A blast of light enveloped them all, dragging warships, walkers, soldiers, and such into it… And leaving a portal to another realm on this planet.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I apologize for the chapters being short, I will make the next one longer. The next chapter will also be MUCH different than the Pyrrha story. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show more about Lerek and where he and his clones ended up on Remnant. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter is 1500 words; chapters will be 900-2500 down the road.
