Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadows of the Force. Enjoy the 1100-word chapter. I don't own RWBY and Star Wars. Monty Oum, Lucas Films, and Rooster Teeth do.
(Venator class cruiser Trailblazer, in orbit over Remnant)
Lerek looked over several datapads and rubbed at his eyes. He checked the time which showed it had been 3 hours since the Trailblazer and the rest of his fleet broke orbit. 2 of those hours had been spent sleeping as best he could.
"No space-worthy craft… Possible slugthrower weapons." Lerek muttered while he shook his head.
Drifter had ordered clone scouts deployed to 'Mistral' to do recon. Lerek hoped nobody noticed them, but he did think it was a strategic move.
"General?" Drifter asked, his voice sounding more curious than anything.
Lerek opened the door, looking at the clone commander while he let out a yawn. Drifter said nothing, but it was clear that he shared the sentiment. His buzzed hair was short with the shape of a bolt of lightning carved into it and a scar from a blaster bolt under his left eye.
"Have the scouts reported back?" Lerek questioned as the two republic officers started to walk to the bridge. "I'm sorry, sleep is the one thing Jedi aren't skilled at." Lerek put in, looking back at the datapad with interest.
"Not yet they've been keeping a low profile," Drifter responded and got a nod. "The admiral has been trying to communicate with them. They do have interplanetary communication, but it doesn't seem as advanced as ours." Drifter added to which Lerek raised an eyebrow.
This planet was more curious than he thought. His first question was why part of the planet's moon was shattered. He and Admiral Parmar had sent a squadron to investigate that.
"Has the 'Oracle' spoken for a while?" Lerek asked before a familiar light lit up the corridor.
"No, just recently." The Oracle added, causing the duo to almost draw their weapons. "My apologies, I had forgotten the inhabitants of your world are constantly at war with others…. But I had spoken to Ozpin, I'm surprised you hadn't simply set course to Vale." The Oracle put into which the duo simply shared a look.
"I'm headstrong, not stupid, Oracle," Lerek added, handing the datapad to Drifter. "A fleet of republic cruisers appearing over an unknown world? Yeah, I'd be quick to get some blasters ready just in case." Lerek added to which he got a hum.
"Ah, an Arkanian with true intelligence. Truly a miracle of the galaxy." The Oracle joked before his features sightly hardened at the moment. "You should meet with Ozpin. This world is… Divided, compared to your republic. There are many leaders, but Ozpin can be seen as the most official." The Oracle added while Lerek hummed and rubbed at his chin.
"And HOW would you suppose I do that?" Lerek added which caused the Oracle to nod. "If this world… Isn't like our galaxy?" Lerek put in before Drifter finished the thought.
"Chances are they DON'T know what the republic is," Drifter added while Lerek nodded.
"Ah, but Ozpin is still used to beings, not of this world." The Oracle stated before sending something to the holodisk on Lerek's belt. "Check the coordinates there and take a single gunship there. I will get him to meet you there." The Oracle stated before leaving as Drifter turned to look to his general.
"Pretty enlightening." Drifter joked while Lerek chuckled before patting his friend on the shoulder.
"I'll go meet this 'Ozpin'," Lerek added and shook his head. "Keep the reinforcements ready and let me know what the scouts find out. Do we still need some answers and this? I might not get them this way." Lerek added while shaking his head as he hummed.
"You remind me of General Skywalker, sir," Drifter added while shaking his head.
"Well, playing by the book doesn't help," Lerek added with a smile as he slowly checked the holodisk. "Have you heard anything from Ruzul yet?" Lerek added which got a shake of the head.
"I'll let you know if something comes up, general," Drifter added before the Jedi General vanished into the turbo lift. "I'll round up some men, keep it small that way we don't ruffle too many feathers, sir," Drifter added to which he got a nod from the Jedi.
Lerek looked at the coordinates he had been given. The oracle seemed to be both parts of the force… And yet something new, something different. Lerek would ask the creature about it when they encountered each other soon, which Lerek had a feeling they would soon enough.
(On Remnant's Moon)
The figure grunted as he looked around, he could 'see' nothing at the moment. He heard a chuckle but couldn't what it was. He stayed his hand, curious as to what it was.
"Ah, a Mirluka. I had almost forgotten your species has no eyesight… I can imagine I give off enough force for you to see me?" The voice added before appearing in front of the Jedi.
"And who is speaking?" Ruzul asked, his face hidden under his mask.
"The person who spoke to your friend Lerek," Ruzul added, brushing off his coat. "I am the oracle. A being of both this dimension and yours. I have sent your friend to speak to someone on the planet below… And I have taken you to this planet's moon. I only wish I did not have to send the Dathomirian and her army somewhere, her role in this story is not yet here." Ruzul stated while brushing off his head.
"Oracle?" Ruzul asked and got a nod. "The relic brought us here?" Ruzul asked and shook his head.
"No, it simply awakened me, and I brought you here." The Oracle put in while crossing his arms. "There is much to discuss at the moment while your friend speaks with Ozpin." The Oracle stated before watching as a single LAAT departed the Trailblazer.
All part of what he had foreseen and predicted… All he had to do was nudge the pieces into place. He turned back to Ruzul and began to speak again as he waited for the next move.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will show the meeting between Ozpin and Ruzul. I want to point out Lerek is 17 and Ruzul is in his 20s. Arkanians can live up to 200 years in legends so there's that. I'm not going to rush things, but the next chapter will also set up Lerek meeting Blake. Until 2-10 months. Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter will be 900-2500 words or such currently.
