A/N: Apologies for being so late today! I was having some issues with Microsoft Word this morning, and then I had to leave early to go see the new Spider-Man movie. It was epic.
Chapter Twenty-Two: Uncertainty
Aisla was in the school library with Ochaco and Mina, studying for their upcoming exam in Hero History. The blonde wasn't paying much attention to the material, however. Her mind was too bogged down with emotions and thoughts for her to really apply herself. She tried her best to take in the information alongside her friends, but it was growing harder for her to stay alert the longer they sat there.
Two days ago, at the school festival, Katsuki's great-grandfather showed up and demanded that Katsuki stop seeing Aisla. He hadn't even said two words to her before he'd decided she was a threat and a bad influence on his grandson.
Katsuki had stood up for her at first, which made her feel simultaneously pleased and sad. While she was happy that he was willing to stand up for her, she didn't like him quarreling with his family. But then he'd stopped arguing and turned to stone right before her. His eyes lost all feeling, turning dead inside. His hand slipped from hers and fell limply at his side. He didn't move, didn't say a word. He just stood there like he'd lost all the will to live.
She hated seeing him like that; it broke her heart. She didn't know if she should wait there or insist on going with him. In the end, his grandfather had wrapped a bony hand around Katsuki's arm and pulled him away while Aisla stood there frozen amidst a sea of gawking students.
They all probably thought she'd been dumped. She wasn't too sure herself. Katsuki had let himself be dragged away, but he hadn't looked pleased by it. She still wanted to believe the promise he'd made that he wouldn't avoid her again, but things weren't looking too good for them at the moment.
Without meaning to, Aisla let out a sigh, getting the attention of her already concerned friends.
"Are you still upset about Bakugo?" Ochaco inquired, pausing in her note-taking to give Aisla a sympathetic smile.
Aisla shrugged. "I don't know, maybe?"
Mina slammed her textbook closed, making them both jump, then leaned across the round table with a conspiratorial gleam in her dark eyes. "Look, girly, if you think that idiot isn't being good to you, then you have two options." She lifted one finger. "Option one: you go find his ungrateful ass and demand that he talk to you or else your ass is moving on."
"And…option two?" Aisla pressed, unsure if she even wanted to know the answer.
Mina held up a second finger. "Option two: you go tell your loyal Saint Bernard that your not so trusty little panther is out of his cage again."
Ochaco blanched. "I don't think that's a good idea…"
Aisla felt a little pale herself. "I assume you're saying that I should go tell Todoroki that Bakugo has been ignoring me again and let them duke it out?" she translated.
Mina gave her a thumbs up. "That's right~!" she sang, then slammed a fist onto the table and lifted a third finger. "Or, option three: you forget about Bakugo altogether and marry Todoroki instead!"
"He's definitely…nicer," Ochaco agreed carefully, "but, I think Aisla likes Bakugo more. You can't really push your feelings aside and be with someone else just because the other person is technically a better match for you."
Mina snorted and sat back in her chair. "Wow, didn't peg you for the expert on love, Ochaco." She poked her friend in the cheek. "Remind me to come to you for advice the next time I have boy trouble!"
Ochaco gave an uncomfortable laugh. "I'm not an expert, I just feel like you should be with the one you love."
"And if who you love isn't available?" Mina pressed.
Ochaco scrunched up her face in thought. "In that case…maybe you just aren't meant to be." She shrugged, but her face still looked pained by the idea.
Aisla felt a little sad for herself. What if that was the problem with her and Katsuki? Maybe they just weren't meant to be together. She'd willingly given him space these last two days, sensing that was what he needed right now, but she grew more worried with each passing day that she'd never see him again. Maybe, he would listen to his grandfather's threat and stay away from her. She couldn't even blame him if he did. What would she do in his place if her own family ordered her not to see him? She thought of her overprotective father and shuddered.
"Poor Aisla. Stop making her cry, Ochaco!" Mina took her hand in hers and squeezed.
Aisla didn't even notice she'd started crying and hastily wiped the traitorous tears away with her hand. "I'm okay!" she lied, forcing a smile so her friends wouldn't worry. "Everything will be fine."
"Do you want me to go find Bakugo for you?" Mina offered. "I can yell at him, kick his ass, or tell him to come find you before I yell at him or kick his ass?"
Aisla choked on a laugh. "No, please don't. I think he needs some time to be alone."
"Who needs time alone?"
All three girls look up with mirrored expressions of surprise.
"Roki, what are you doing here?" Aisla asked. She hadn't exactly been avoiding him, but she hadn't gone out of her way to hang out with him since that…incident a few weeks ago. He'd nearly gotten her broken up with Katsuki because of his own jealousy, but he had managed to make things right between them again. Even so, she couldn't help feeling a little bitter about the whole situation.
He gave her a wry smile. "It's the library. I came here to study."
Now, she felt like a jerk. "Right…sorry."
"Should we give you two a minute, or…?" Mina suggested, gaze flicking between the pair.
"No," Aisla said at the same time Shoto said, "yes."
She scowled at him.
"Well, I think you and I have…an elsewhere to be. Right, Ochaco?" Mina shot her a wink behind Shoto's back and mouthed, marry him, before pulling Uraraka out the door.
Aisla released the breath she'd been holding and gestured for him to sit. "I haven't been avoiding you," she announced as soon as he was seated.
He chuckled. "I know, Aisla. We saw each other yesterday. I know you wouldn't avoid me without telling me first."
She thought about that, then decided that was probably true. She would let him know if she needed some space before she stopped talking to him.
"Still, I'm sorry we haven't hung out very much lately," she said. "I know I've been a little distant."
He shrugged. "It's fine. I'm sure you've been busy with Bakugo. How are things between you two?"
The smile she'd mustered dropped in an instant. "Oh, you know…it's been fine."
Shoto watched her for a long moment as if trying to decide what to say in return. "You can talk to me, Ru," he murmured. "I'm sorry if my…admission made you feel uncomfortable confiding in me, but I'd really hate for you to stop sharing things with me." His dual-colored eyes begged her to believe him.
She let out a soft sigh. "I don't trust anyone as much as I trust you," she promised. "It's just… Katsuki's going through something right now and I'm trying to give him some space."
Shoto frowned. "Does it have something to do with that ancient vampire-looking man that was dragging Bakugo around after the school festival?"
Aisla's eyes went wide. "How did you know about that?"
He shrugged. "I saw them in the hallway. He was yelling at Bakugo. Didn't even seem to care that everyone could overhear them. And then Bakugo just stood there, taking it. I kind of felt bad for him, honestly. I've never seen him act like that. You know how he is when it comes to authority. He's usually…well, he's Bakugo. But he was like a completely different person when that man was speaking to him."
Aisla felt even worse than before. No wonder she hadn't seen him. "What did he say to him?"
Shoto thought about it. "Well, I only overheard a little bit of the conversation as I was walking by, but from what I gathered, that old guy is really disappointed in Bakugo's grades as well as his overall attitude. I heard him tell Bakugo to 'remember our deal if you wish to remain where you are,' but I have no idea what he meant by that."
Aisla's heart plummeted. "I think I might know," she admitted quietly. "Maybe I should go look for him…"
"If that's what you think is best," Shoto agreed. "You know him."
She snorted. "I don't know about that, but thanks for being supportive. I appreciate it."
His answering smile was genuine. "Of course. But…are you alright? I've been worried about you."
"I'm okay, honestly." She leaned forward on her elbows and propped her chin in her palm. "I'm worried about Katsuki, but I'm going to trust him that he won't avoid me again. He deserves the benefit of the doubt."
He nodded. "You're right, Ru. Everyone deserves that. Has he spoken to you at all?"
She shook her head. "No, but I wouldn't want to talk to anyone either if my grandfather came to school and yelled at me in front of all my friends. I wouldn't want to talk to anyone ever again."
Shoto grimaced. "That guy looked even scarier than my dad. I didn't think anyone could match the overwhelming disappointment of Endeavor." He rolled his eyes.
Aisla copied the expression. "Yeah, he's pretty mean, from my brief encounter with him. I'm sure Katsuki has a lot to think about."
"Did he say something to you?"
Aisla frowned. "Katsuki?"
"Vampire Man."
She lifted her shoulders and looked away from his inquiring gaze. "I mean…kind of? He basically said that I'm the reason Katsuki hasn't excelled in school yet. He told Katsuki…" she trailed off, closed her eyes, then spoke in a whisper. "He told him he wasn't allowed to be with me anymore."
"Wow… I'm sorry, Ru. That must have been painful to hear. He shouldn't have said that to you." He placed a comforting hand on her elbow.
She opened her eyes and gave him a rueful smile. "Thanks for saying that. It's been kind of bugging me the last couple of days."
"And that's the last you heard from Bakugo?" he guessed.
"Yeah," she answered sadly.
"What are you going to do now?"
She considered this. She could go hunt him down and check on him. Or she could wait it out and see if he ever decided to come to her first. Or…
"I haven't tried texting him yet," she realized. "I guess I could start there."
"Good idea. Hey, Ru?"
"Yeah?" She met his dual-colored eyes, not sure what she expected to find there. It was always so strange to search his expression for feelings. She never knew whether to gaze into the cold gray of his right eye, or the blazing blue core of his left. There always seemed to be two sides of his heart, always in juxtaposition with one another. Like now, she swore she could see the molten swirls of insecurity in blistering blue, but also a perfectly calm stillness set in gray.
"I think he's good for you," he told her in earnest. "You seem happier when you're with him. I like seeing you happy." There it was, the point of intersection between his warring sides. At their center, these sincere words were formed, and Aisla knew he meant them.
Tears formed in her eyes but she blinked them away. "Thank you, Roki. You're a good friend."
She yawned widely. "I think I'm going to go take a nap," she decided. It was only three in the afternoon, too late for a nap and too early for bed, but she was tired and depressed and wanted the sweet reprieve of sleep for a while.
"Of course," he replied easily. "Get some rest. I'll be around if you need to talk again."
She offered a smile as she stood from her chair and gathered up her belongings. "Thanks. I'll see you later."
When she got back to her room, she deposited her textbooks on the desk and immediately stripped out of her pants. It was a weekend, so she wasn't wearing her uniform, but her jeans were itchy and constricting. She didn't want to sleep in those. She kept the t-shirt on, though, and slid under the covers.
She didn't have any trouble falling asleep, but that didn't stop her mind from being restless. She tossed and turned, waking up every half hour or so drenched in sweat. Finally, she threw the blankets off and pulled the shirt up to expose her stomach. That helped a little and she was able to fall back asleep pretty easily. Unfortunately for her, now that she was primed to fall into a deep sleep, her mind punished her with nightmares.
In one dream, Katsuki was at her door, telling her that he never actually liked her and he hoped she would get over her infatuation with him before she made him sick. In another, she dreamt that her little sister, Airi, had been a victim in a villain attack, and it was Aisla's useless power that caused her to meet her demise. In her last dream, Aisla found herself standing on the roof of the school with her feet on the building's ledge. She had her eyes closed against the wind and her arms stretched out like she was about to take flight.
She awoke just as her body was about to hit the ground. She was shaking with fear and she suddenly felt cold as ice. She touched her cheeks and found salty tears sticking to them. She must have been crying in her sleep. That was embarrassing. She supposed she always was prone to nightmares when she slept during the day. That was one of the reasons she rarely took naps, even when she was so tired she thought she might faint from exhaustion.
She sat up in bed and wiped the tears from her eyes before checking the clock on her bedside table. It was just past six, meaning it was dinner time for everyone else. Aisla wasn't hungry, though. She felt nauseous and weak. She wanted to stay in her room and be alone. Maybe she could convince her body to go back to sleep and stay there until morning.
She'd just laid back down when a soft knock sounded on her bedroom door. She groaned, slid from the bed, and made her way across the room. She opened the door a crack and was surprised to see Katsuki standing on the other side. She pulled it open wider and peered out at him.
"Is everything okay?" she asked, noting his disheveled state. Unkempt hair, clothes that looked like he'd slept in them, and two mismatched socks of different lengths. Maybe he'd been trying to nap, too.
"No," he said. "It's not okay. Let me in."
She moved aside and allowed him to enter before shutting the door behind them. "Katsuki, what's—"
"My grandfather wants me to stop seeing you," he informed her abruptly.
"…I know."
Katsuki's gaze was downcast, but she could see the anguish in those red irises. She could feel his pain, too, radiating off him in physical waves.
"He told me that if I keep hanging out with you, then he'll make our contract null and void. I'll have to move to America with him, regardless of my grades." He met her gaze and she thought she saw fear in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Aisla…"
Her whole body went even colder than when she woke up. For a moment, she hoped this was another bad dream. If she woke up, Katsuki wouldn't be standing here telling her that they can't be together. He wouldn't be saying these things to her when they just started to be happy together.
"I thought…" she started, then swallowed back the whine that threatened. She wanted to tell him a million different things. She wanted to tell him that it wasn't fair. She wanted to tell him that she deserved a say in this, too. And most of all, she wanted to tell him that she needed him.
She said none of these things, though. She just cleared her throat, took a deep steadying breath, and offered him her best attempt at a smile. "I understand, Katsuki…" she whispered. She was unable to meet his eyes. She didn't want to know what expression he held just then. "It's what your grandfather wants. Family is important."
"It is," he agreed softly. "But you're more important."
Her eyes lifted and widened in shock. Her mouth parted to say something in return, but no words followed.
"I'm sorry," he repeated. At first she'd thought he was apologizing because he was making the choice to leave her and obey his grandfather's wishes, but now… "I'm sorry if choosing to be with you means that he'll take me away from here but I…" He cursed under his breath, eyebrows curving together in a pained expression. "I'm sorry if we don't have long like this, but I'm not gonna stay away from you."
Oh. He was apologizing because he wanted to be with her, and because that decision could have the complete opposite effect in the end. He wants me. He's admitting it. He really…wants me. She sniffled as fresh tears rolled down her cheeks at this realization.
He stepped forward and placed a hand on her cheek before tenderly brushing away stray tears with his thumb. "I thought I told you not to cry for me anymore?"
She half choked, half laughed at this. "I thought you were breaking up with me! Of course, I'd cry."
"Why?" he whispered, a small crease forming between his eyebrows. He really didn't understand, did he?
She blinked up at him. He was still moving forward and she didn't realize until her back suddenly hit the wall next to her door that she'd been moving as well. She let out a small gasp of air.
"Why what?" she asked breathlessly.
His thumb was caressing her face almost absentmindedly, and his free hand was flat against the wall by her head. "Why would you cry for me, Aisla Haru?"
His eyes were so focused on her own that for a moment she forgot how to speak. "Because I care about you," she breathed. "Because I don't want to be without you."
He closed his eyes, rested his forehead against hers, then breathed a shaky sigh. "You are so bad for me…"
"Why?" she echoed his own words as she let her eyes drift closed.
"Because I can't control myself with you," he admitted. "I can't make rational choices around you." He leaned in closer so his lips just brushed hers and his body moved to press against her, making her let out a soft whimper. "Fuck…" he breathed in response. "I can't be good with you…"
Her breathing hitched at these words. She didn't know what they meant, but they made heat unfurl somewhere low in her stomach anyway. "Then, don't be," she whispered.
She slid her hands into his hair and tightened her fingers in the locks so she could press her mouth firmly against his. He shuddered in response, then surprised her by boldly clamping onto her bottom lip with his teeth and giving it a gentle tug. Aisla moaned as a tremor passed through her. When his teeth released her, she slid her tongue along his lips, eliciting a deep growl from within his chest.
"God, you're so…" He didn't finish the sentence. Instead, he slid a hand down to her thigh and hiked her leg up around his hips. He pushed against her with his hips, and she sucked in a sharp intake of breath through her teeth.
"Katsuki…" she moaned at the new sensation that sparked in every uncharted place that he was pressing against, then felt him release a similar sound of his own that reverberated throughout her body.
"What is wrong with me…?" he breathed as he repeated the action, grinding against the thin fabric of her panties.
Just then, a fist pounded against the door, which in turn vibrated the wall her back was currently pressed against.
"Fuck," Katsuki cursed and pulled away from her. He adjusted his pants before turning back to her with a mix of emotions on his face: lust, anger, embarrassment, annoyance…
"W-what?" she stammered when he continued to stare at her. She was breathless and heady with sudden desire. She wanted to pull his lips back to hers and beg him to—
"Get the door!" he hissed and gestured toward it as if she were too dumb to know where it was. In her current mental state, she might not have been able to find her own feet if he'd asked her.
It took another expectant knock on the wood for her to finally come to her senses. She started, sucked in a sharp breath of air, then pushed herself away from the wall and staggered to the door.
Katsuki stepped behind it and put a finger against his lips. "Shh…"
She nodded before opening the door.
Shoto stood there, looking frazzled and out of breath. "Um, is Bakugo in there with you by chance?" he asked. She narrowed her eyes. "I'm not asking for me!" he said in a hushed tone. "Mr. Aizawa is on his way up here right now, looking for Bakugo. So, whatever you two are doing in there…" His eyes shifted down the length of her body briefly. Aisla followed his gaze and felt her whole face go bright red. She'd forgotten that she was only wearing a shirt.
She pushed Shoto out of the doorway and closed the door until only a crack remained. "We weren't doing anything!" she hissed in return.
He shrugged. "Okay…but Mr. Aizawa is looking for him. Just thought I'd warn you…"
"Crap," she said when she kicked the door shut. "You have to get out of here, like, right now."
"Hey." He pulled her into him and placed a kiss on her lips. "Calm down. No one knows anything."
"I'm in my underwear!" She gestured to herself.
He cleared his throat and refused to look down. "Yeah…I might have noticed. A-a little!" he added hastily.
She smirked. "Just get out of here, Casanova," she advised.
He released her, gave her something resembling a reassuring smile, then disappeared through the door.
Aisla breathed a sigh of relief when he was gone, but it was a short-lived feeling. Just as soon as he'd left, another knock sounded on her door, this one demanding. She let out a squeak of terror and had only a moment of time to come up with a reasonable excuse before she flung open the door. She rubbed her eyes tiredly and yawned as if she'd just woken from sleep. "Mr. Aizawa?" she asked with feigned surprise. "What's going on?"
"What have you been doing up here all day, Miss Haru?" he demanded, giving her a disapproving look.
"I was just taking a nap," she told him, which was mostly true.
His eyes flicked down her body, registered her lack of shorts, then shot back up so fast she thought they might fly right out of their sockets. "Oh. Sorry… I'll… I'm leaving now."
When he was gone, she shut the door and leaned against it, praying no one would ever come to her door ever again as long as she lived.
Unless it's you, Katsuki, her mind teased. She blushed at the thought. She brushed her fingers against the lips that he'd just kissed and closed her eyes. That had been the closest they'd ever been with one another. Not only had he sought her out to let her know that he was choosing her and not following his grandfather's orders, but then he'd pushed her against the wall and pressed himself into her and she'd felt his…
She let out a shaky breath at the memory. She had it so bad for that boy. But she was only fifteen! She shouldn't be thinking about stuff like that. She had plenty of time for those kinds of…activities when she was older. For now, she should focus on training so that when the next provisional license exam came around, she could actually pass instead of passing out.
But his hands… She felt a shiver run down her spine as she unwillingly recalled the way he'd hoisted her bare leg up and caressed the skin there. And the way he'd kissed her… He'd left her with a feeling of neediness she couldn't remember ever experiencing before then. Everything inside of her was hot and fluid, her nerves supercharged, parts of her body aching in ways that were completely foreign to her. Suddenly, she felt like she needed to do something.
She swallowed hard as she contemplated what to do about her current predicament. She couldn't… No. She'd read books on the subject and had joked about it with some of her girlfriends, but she'd never actually done it herself. She wasn't even sure if she knew how. She'd probably end up doing it wrong and embarrassing herself. Not that she'd know if that was the case…
But Katsuki Bakugo had teased her. He'd left her with a primal pressure that held her in its crushing and blissful grip. Her mind was foggy with the memory of his touch and she needed to do something to break away, something other than chasing Katsuki down to his own room and begging for more.
This is so wrong, she thought as she lay back on her bed. She wasn't allowed to do this. She was too young, too inexperienced, too shy. But she wanted to, needed to even. Her body was burning and it was all she could do not to explode.
Her fingers ghosted over her shirt, gliding down, down… She hesitated when she reached the edge of silk panties, unsure what to do next, and even more uncertain of if she even should. Then the image of Katsuki's face, gazing down at her with obvious desire, desire for her, made her fingers creep just a little lower.
Katsuki had touched the insides of her thighs, so close to this private, intimate part of her that she'd never shared with anyone before, not even herself. The thought of his hand touching her there made her feel braver somehow, and wetter, too…
She allowed her fingers to dip lower, to just barely trace the shape of soft folds. She bit her lip at the new sensation this provided her, then pressed a little harder through her panties, remembering the pressure of Katsuki here as he ground against her. She touched herself with tentative fingers, embarrassment and uncertainty making her hesitant. She felt a little bit of shame, too. Was this something girls were even allowed to do?
She ignored her mind's attempts to reason with her and pressed her fingers in a circular pattern, up then down, then up again, trying to find just the right spot where…
She stifled a moan when she found it. It was the little bud she'd never paid much attention to before. She liked the way it felt if she brushed her fingers against it and drew circles around it. It made something stir inside of her, something that had her body writhing. She wished Katsuki would touch her like this. She imagined that he was right now, that these were his fingers, and he was making her body ache like before. Would that have happened if Shoto hadn't knocked on the door? Was it possible that… Would Katsuki want to do something like that with her? To her?
The more she did this, the more intense the ache became until it was almost too much to bear. There was a moment where she thought, I'm going to burn alive, but then the feeling sort of mellowed out and left her feeling breathless and dizzy.
She lay there for a long moment while her breathing slowed and her body came down from its high. She thought about what she'd just done and wondered how she felt about the whole experience. She'd definitely liked the way it had felt, and it had eased some of the neediness inside of her…but she couldn't help the guilt that burned through her. She couldn't tell anyone what she'd done, which made the act feel like a shameful secret.
It's not shameful, she told herself. This was her body, and if she wanted to touch herself, then that was her own right. Besides, she thought with a residual shudder, Katuski was the one who made me feel like this. If it's anyone's fault, it's his.
With that thought in mind, she stripped out of her panties, pulled on a pair of shorts, then found a change of clothes and her bathroom bag before leaving the room. She felt the sudden need to shower off the experience.
Luck was with her that night and no one was in the halls or the showers. She was able to clean up and get back to her room without incident. She put her dirty laundry in the hamper in her closet, then turned off the lights and crawled into bed, even though she wasn't that tired anymore. She pulled the blankets up to her neck and willed herself to fall asleep. She was suddenly regretting the nap she'd taken earlier and kind of wished she had chosen to draw or play video games instead. Now, she would find it impossible to fall asleep.
She thought of Katsuki and how he'd held her through the night a few weeks ago. She thought of how safe and comforted she'd felt, and how easy it had been for her to drift off. She could go to him now, beg him to let her sleep in his bed… But then she wouldn't be able to stop herself from remembering what she'd done to herself. Guilt would surely keep her up all night. Or worse…desire would keep both of them up all night.
She sighed into her pillow. She couldn't do that to him anyway. She shouldn't force herself on him like that. If he wanted to spend the night with her, then he'd ask…right?
No, she supposed not. Even so, sneaking into his room at night for something like that made her feel vulnerable. She didn't know what she'd do if he rejected her. What if he told her he didn't like having her in his bed? Just because she'd liked it, didn't mean he felt the same way. Maybe she'd made him uncomfortable that night. They hadn't talked about it since then.
Not tonight, she advised herself. She scrunched up her eyes and imagined he was there with her, holding her in his strong, comforting arms. It made a smile tug at the corners of her mouth. Maybe she couldn't have him there for real, but her imagination was pretty close. At least…for now.
END
A/N: So, it's been a little while since I was a fifteen-year-old girl. I don't remember everything I felt or everything I wanted to do, etc. While writing this story, and this scene in particular, I really had to THINK and put myself into the mind of an inexperienced young girl. It's been my goal from the start of this story to make the characters, especially Aisla, as believable as possible. I want it to be realistic, something you could easily see happening IRL. When I was considering how far to go with this scene, I had to decide whether or not Aisla would really do something like this and how she would feel about it. Since she's never had these types of experiences before, I had to make sure I did an adequate job of portraying that, without it being cringy as hell. I wanted it to be a sexy scene, but still make it obvious she doesn't know what she's doing.
Aisla is a sweet, innocent little flower and doesn't understand what's happening with her body. She's experiencing desire for the first time, and doesn't know how to act on it. Based on that, I was pretty certain this was just how she'd be. She's self-conscious about herself, though more so her quirk. I thought she would be the same with this type of situation. I want to stay as true to her character as I can be!
As far as the Katsuki situation is concerned… That one is a lot harder. Aisla is a character that I've created, so I know how she reacts to situations. Katsuki, while I feel like I do a pretty good job, is sometimes hard for me to write for. He's a tricky little bastard sometimes. How WOULD Katsuki Bakugo react to this or that? It's not always easy to say. He doesn't have any romances (that I'm aware of), so it's tricky to put him in situations that are intimate and/or sexual. He's definitely a passionate character, so I try to play off of that, without making it unbelievable. He's also a teenage boy, so hormones are all out of whack for him right now. And like Aisla, he's also experiencing these things for the first time. He's never cared about someone in this way before. He's never felt the things Aisla makes him feel. So in his mind, he's afraid to act upon these alien feelings. He doesn't know what they are or what to do about them. Sometimes, he lashes out and pushes them away, pretending they don't exist. Other times, like in this chapter, he lets the feelings take control. He can be very impulsive sometimes, so I play off of that when I put him in these situations. I know he also tends to have a REASON for the things he does, but romantically…? It's hard to say. I do my best! I hope you all enjoyed what I've done with this chapter and look forward to what's to come!
A huge shoutout to all the new followers, reviewers, and favorites! You're all GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me!

MeMyselfAndI82907: I love your theories. It's one of my favorite things about posting here. I love hearing thoughts and theories! Aisla having the ability to reflect thoughts is a VERY good theory. I can tell you think deeply about this story and the characters I've created. That makes me super happy! Blonde-haired demons is right lol. Imagine Katsuki Bakugo as a dad… You know, me and my friend were doing just that one night, while I was trying to decide what that would look like. My thoughts as of now are: as a dad with a son, he'd be tough, but with a DAUGHTER…He'd totally melt and let her ensnare him with a single look. Kind of like Aisla. I can just see that happening.
LilFoxDemon666: Lol, that ancient old man is one of my favorite characters that I've created. He's despicable, but he's grown on me. But yes, BakugoxAisla forever indeed! XD

Funfact: There are some words that I CAN'T use alongside the names in this story. For example: "Aisla's eyelids." The two words just can't go together because they sound too similar! Also, "Katsuki caught," is one I try to avoid, and I hate using "Aisla's eyes," but it can't always be avoided. This is why, a lot of the time, you'll see me use words like "her crystal eyes" "Aisla's gaze," to try and keep those words separate.
