Author Note: Harry's birthday. Hermione goes native and the girls give Harry a NSFW birthday gift.
Luna woke up to find Hermione sitting on the bench looking out her window. It gave a good view of the creek and the garden, only as it was early morning and the sun had not come over the ridge yet there was shadows and twilight outside.
"Morning Mione you like looking out windows a lot." Luna said stretching like a cat.
"It calms me." She said flatly.
"What do you need to get calmed from?" Luna said coming over to sit on the other end of the bench.
"This world is so different than what I knew. I'm going to have to start all over again."
"Is that really such a bad thing? Don't sound much like you had a lotta good things going on back there anymore."
Hermione hung her head for a moment before looking up at Luna, "No I didn't. When Neville died it seemed like the one choice I ever got to make for myself died."
Luna frowned when she said that. Sitting quietly looking at Hermione she waited for her to keep talking.
Taking a deep breath Hermione said, "I guess you want to know what that means?"
Luna nodded, "Thought did cross my mind. If you'd like ta tell me."
Hermione smiled, "I. I've never been able to just sit and talk to someone. Not without them having their own motivations for doing so, or ignoring what I said."
"I have my motivation to listen to you. But its to help you get to know yerself. Cause the more comfortable you are with you, the more likely you are to be comfortable with us." Luna smirked.
Hermione laughed hollowly, "That is a far better motivation than any I have encountered so far. My parents ensured I was taught how to be a proper lady. Piano lessons, dance lessons, etiquette and elocution. Posture. Equestrian lessons. Be seen and not heard. Don't wear your clothes like that. Keep your legs crossed a lady never shows her knickers. They never asked me what I wanted."
Hermione paused to compose herself, "Then when I was told why the strange things happened, why sometimes I could see paintings move or notice owls acting strangely they tried to prevent my going to Hogwarts. Saying that it was improper for someone of my station. Dumbledore himself had to convince them to let me go."
Luna raised her eyebrow while shaking her head.
"And then when I got to Hogwarts I ran into the blood bigots, the magic supremacists, the people who hated people like me. All through my time in that school they tried to make me choose between the muggle world and the magical one. Not that I would have had much hope of being anything in that world. A common housewife, or maybe a teacher or clerk in the Ministry. Maybe if I worked hard and kept my nose clean in a few decades I could have become a department manager or possibly Minister for Magic. If people could over look my being a mudblood." Hermione tersely monologued.
"A wha?"
"A mudblood. Someone who has dirty blood. Its an insult by the pure-bloods for muggle-borns." she said breathing hard trying to calm down.
"Oh I see." Luna said sighing deeply. "I guess hate is universal."
Hermione sniffed through some chuckles. "Not around here it seems like."
"Well that's cause you've only dealt with Harry's friends. He's rather particular about who he let's into his circle. Harry don tolerate folks getting uppity or nasty. He and Austin's cousin have had some real knock down drag outs."
"Why?"
"Well Virgil and his daddy are in the Klan. They live over by Chad on Dixie hill Rd." Luna said waving her hand in a vague direction Hermione had no idea what she was referring to.
"The Klan?" Hermione asked in confusion.
"The KKK, Klu Klux Klan. Uh. Well best way to explain them is they hate folks that ain't too much like them."
"Oh. So sort of like the Death Eaters I've dealt with." Hermione nodded in understanding.
"Nice name. Puts that they are evil right on the label."
Hermione giggled briefly, "Yes they do. I had not considered that."
Luna shrugged, "We don't always consider things right under our noses."
Hermione paused, "Am I going to have trouble with these Klan?"
"Naw. Most of em don't even know magic exists and those that do usually get dealt with pretty quick one way or tuther. And don't worry no one around here cares about that blood purity stuff. Mama and Lily told us about that when we got old enough ta understood it."
"So there's not the same kind of hate and prejudice?" Hermione asked hopefully.
Luna looked sadly at her, "Folks are folks. There gonna be hate and prejudice no matter where ya go in all God's creation. The only thing you can do is try not ta walla with the pigs cause that just gets ya as dirty as they are."
Hermione thought for a moment then giggled as she nodded, "I think I see what you mean. So today is Harry's birthday. Is there a magical shopping district nearby? I didn't exactly plan to give him anything. At least now that seducing him is off of the table."
Luna shrugged as she worked her tongue along the inside of her lower lip, "Well I suppose seducing him is offa the table."
Hermione rolled her eyes, "I'm not quite ready for that." She blushed briefly before saying, "Well maybe a little bit."
Luna giggled, "Well aside from Pine Mountain which just as the basic stuff available we'd have to go up to Lexington at the Dixie Square Mall. Lexington has got the biggest magical community in the state."
"Oh. You have a lot of places named Dixie, is that something significant?"
Luna considered for a moment before nodding, "Well back during the civil war. Some folks call it the conflict tween the states, Dixie was the south. Kentucky was one of the states that straddled the border and depending where ya was showed which way the alignments went."
"Oh. I see. So some parts of the state where for one side while others where for the opposition."
Luna giggled, "And some parts got tired o both sides and shot at anyone wearin a blue or a gray suit."
"I see."
"Yeah well don worry none bout that. Its old news to most folks ceptin the diehards and stalwarts. Now what do you wanna shop for?"
"Well I don't know. Something nice, and useful. You know Harry better than I do, can you help me?"
"Yeah I can make a few suggestions. Cide we need to seriously get some new clothes fer ya."
"What's wrong with my clothes?"
"Nuttin really. Just they ain't verra practical. Plusin they make ya look like an outsider. If yer gonna stay wit us yer gonna need ta blend."
"Oh. Do I need to change the way I speak as well?"
Luna shook her head, "Nah the accent grows on ya. If ye try an fake it that'll mark ye brighter than a neon sign. Just relax, try not ta think bout it too much and you'll start fittin in."
Hermione smiled, "I would like to fit in somewhere finally."
…..
Hermione looked around once the world had reappeared. The mall was a large two story structure that had plants and a large fountain in the center of an atrium that had stores surrounding it. She goggled at the stores around the perimeter that sold a great many things that reminded her of Diagon Alley as well as a great many things that did not.
"Pretty nifty eh?" Luna asked elbowing her.
"I am overwhelmed. This is quite a bit different than Diagon Alley."
Pandora smiled, "Yes I am quite sure. There is a mundane mall up those stairs that we may explore as well." she said pointing.
"A muggle mall?" Hermione gasped in surprise, "But how do you keep muggles from coming down here?"
"Yes. When they built the mall in the 1970s the developers were convinced to allow the magical community to build our mall underneath. It satisfies the international treaties as well as the desire for integration that swept through the country in the seventies." Pandora paused, "As for how we keep mundanes out it is quite easy. The stairs lead up to a hallway that ends at a blank wall when approached by a mundane. If someone has any magic within them at all though they see the stairs."
"Oh. I see. But wouldn't people notice a great many people coming and going?"
"No because on one side of the entrance is an exit to the mall and the other is the restrooms. Most people assuming anyone going down that hallway is either leaving the mall or going to the restroom. The mundane mall security personnel are aware of us by the way as well as the magical mall security."
Hermione shook her head, "So there really is no separation of the two worlds?"
Pandora tilted her head slightly before saying, "Officially and legally there is. However the line is rather smeared and blurry and as long as you do not do something blatantly unexplainable nothing will happen to you."
"Told ya." Luna said rolling her eyes.
Looking at the mall directory Hermione frowned, "He lied about that too."
Pandora and Luna both looked at her.
"Dumbledore told me that it would be alright if I brought galleons because your magical society could easily change them. I don't see anything that indicates that to be true."
"Cause its not. We use good ol American Dollars." Luna said.
Pandora thought for a moment, "Galleons are still made out of a gold alloy are they not?"
"Uh yeah."
"Give me a few of them, please. I know of a place I may exchange them."
Hermione reached into her purse and handed Pandora a large handful. "Here. I'm not certain what the current exchange rate is."
Pandora raised her eyebrow, "The people I will be meeting with do not use the official exchange rate. However I assure you this many will be quite sufficient to provide you with enough shopping capabilities."
"Ok mama. We'll stay in the magic zone until you get back." Luna said hugging her mother who went back to the area by the stairs that said teleport arrivals and departures.
"So whar ye wanna go first?" Luna asked with a grin.
Hermione looked at the directory and said with a grin, "How about Aphrodite fashions?"
Luna smiled widely, "Good choice."
…...
In a car traveling down the interstate away from New York JFK airport Severus Snape looked at the tall black haired man sitting in the seat beside him with a frown, the other member of the trio was curled on the floorboards asleep for all he knew.
Sighing at the inability to throw the rat into traffic or off one of the rather tall bridges Severus concentrated on remembering how to drive in America. He had only visited this country twice before on business for the Dark Lord and Dumbledore respectively. Going to Ilvermorny both times he did not enjoy the trips.
"Sirius would you please find a radio station and leave it there before I hex your fingers off."
"Sev you want me to drive?"
"No. You are an internationally wanted criminal. If we get pulled over by law enforcement I do not want to have to draw attention to ourselves by erasing their memories. Plus they use radio communication over here far too much."
"How come?"
"What?"
"Why do they use radios so much?"
"Because they are all in fear for their life since every American is armed with at least three guns." Snape said frowning as he watched the other cars around him.
"Well how long is it going to take for us to get there?"
"We should be there by tomorrow morning if you do not get us killed." Snape snapped.
"And how would I get us killed?"
"By causing me to become distracted by your interminable channel hopping and incessant questions." Snape growled as he cut through two lanes of traffic to reach the exit he wanted. Several cars saluted him with their horns and one driver waved at him but not with all of his fingers. "Find some sort of music that is tolerable and leave it!"
"Wow. That guy seemed a bit upset." Sirius said looking in the mirror.
Snape tried to use a mental exercise to calm down. A mile or so down the road he said, "Yes well we have to remain unobserved by the MACUSA so as to prevent any allies of Dumbledore or Lily from discovering we are here yet."
"I know. You don't have to remind me. You're the one driving twenty over the speed limit."
"Yes and barely keeping with the flow of traffic. So it appears I am not standing out."
Sirius found some uptempo song about Breakfast with someone named Tiffany and left it which caused Snape to relax a little bit. Snape had smiled at the driver he cut off who waved at him again then accelerated past him. Severus wondered if he could get his wand out unnoticed and cause a bit of an issue with the small sports car unnoticed. Sirius was playing with the seat controls which was at least quiet. Snape looked at the map he had memorized and tried to calculate if there was a quicker route to their destination that did not require magical cheating.
"So when are we going to stop to get something to eat?" Peter suddenly asked from the back seat.
"Hey yeah we haven't had breakfast yet. I could use some food." Sirius agreed.
"We will get food when we stop for fuel and not until. If you're good I will get you some biscuits even."
"Fine no need to get snippy. Just because you got to sit in a seat and flirt with the stewardesses and."
Snape turned the radio to its maximum volume as he contemplated what would happen if he apparated out of a moving vehicle.
…...
"Harry Parker get yer head outta yer ass fore I knock it off yer shoulders." Richard Ecars snapped from his position on the ladder across from Harry.
Harry shook his head quickly, "Sorry grampa. I was distracted."
"Ya thunk?" Richard said spitting off the roof. "This roof ain't gonna fix itself you know?"
"Can't I cheat just a little. Gramma's gone to town and mom's at the diner."
Richard looked at him, "God made two hands for working boy. Now get yer head in it."
Harry took the hammer and began to pull nails on the rusted tin roof that they were replacing. "Yessir."
Richard watched him for a minute before saying, "What's got a bee in yer bonnet anyhows?"
"Sorry I called Xeno and he said Pandora took Hermione and Luna up to Lexington to go shopping."
"They spending yer money?" Richard asked as he helped Harry remove the old metal and toss it to the ground below.
"Well Luna might. I dunno. But that's not it grampa."
"Then what is it? That new girl?"
Harry shrugged, "Maybe. I just can't wrap my head around her. And what does it mean for her and Dumbledore to show up now. What if we have more people show up, what if some of the bad guys from over there show up. She says Dumbledore thinks I'm the only one to be able to kill that Voldemort but mom and Pandora both say that's not true. I just don't know."
Richard took his hat off wiping his brow with the back of his before he said, "Son, The good Lord gave us enough troubles to worry aboout witout diggin up more. You wanan get inta their war? That's lookin to get troubles you don't need."
Harry sat on the ridge of the tobacco barn and thought for moment, "No. Maybe. I mean mom's been seeing to it I get trained by everybody that can teach me anything what's worth knowing. There got to be a reason for all that."
"Maybe she just wants you to be strong enough to take care of you and yours should they come looking for trouble. The good book says turn the other cheek, but you only got two cheeks to turn Harry."
Harry smirked briefly before saying, "I know grampa but."
"But nuttin. I joined up to get them japs back in 42 cause I wanted to do my duty. Be a man. What did I get to do? I got to peel potatoes in the belly of a battleship for six years before I came home to pick up a shovel in the mines. I'm lucky I didn't get the bad lung like my brother did. Still I don't breathe right and chill gets in my bones awful hurtful more and more each winter. You got a chance to go do something and dying in some war for a buncha stranger that done dirt on a fine girl like that Hermione ain't worth it. Yer better than that."
"What do you know about what happened to her?" Harry frowned.
"Son yore mamma and us talk. I'm old not senile." He said with a laugh before spitting. "Why do you think Rachel has done all but put her name in the bible already."
"Oh. Yeah." Harry said with realization. "So what would you do?"
Richard climbed up the roof to sit on the ridge beside Harry. Working his cud from one cheek to the other he spat before saying, "I'd take all that learning you got and go find a place that would appreciate it. These valleys are dying. Son. They're not a place for younguns anymore. Not ones that got somethin tween their ears sides air."
Harry let the hammer dangle from his hand as he stared at the ground through the exposed rafters. Thinking.
Richard looked around at the midday sun, at the green trees, listened to the far off machinery of a train slowly winding through the valley. "Son. The good Lord brought you and your momma outta that darkness for a reason, study hard on your conscience afore you make any choosin."
Harry took a deep breath looking around with a smile, "I will grampa."
Patting Harry on the knee Richard stood up and looked across the valley, "Well looks like they're blocking the road so we got a bit fore Old Woman gets back. I'm gonna go get a pull of medicine. Ol Arthur is acting up." He said going down the ladder.
Harry went to the edge of the roof, "What about the new roof?"
Richard spat before saying, "Well if I don't see it happen I can't get mad about it now can I?"
Harry grinned as he slid down the ladder. Waiting for Richard and Bo to head up the path into the woods that led to his medicine shack Harry snapped his fingers. The old metal wrenched itself from the roof, nails flying into the coffee tin for sorting for reuse. Another snap and the new metal rose into the sky and settled into place with new nails driving into the beams. Calling Duke and King to him he headed for the tractor shed and his truck. A four wheel drive ticket out of here.
…..
Just as the sun was going down over the ridge his friends Rodney and Denver showed up on their bikes. Both of them riding from town. Pulling a set of RC bottles out of the backpack Rodney had slung he handed one to Harry and soon they were leaning over the grill of the truck arguing over the best gap for the plugs. Denver was standing looking over the other fender
Spencer and Austin showed up with Becky a little bit later as Spencer had been working in Cumberland at the store part time. The group was gathered around the truck talking about blowers and Rodney joking with Becky if she was a blower or a turbo when Lily walked in with Wyatt.
"Harry. Rachel says dinner will be ready in a half hour. Do you and this group of scoundrels think you'll be clean enough?"
"Yes mom. We weren't really working on baby." He said giving her a hug.
"Rodney how are you and Denver planning on getting home?" she asked noticing the two bikes leaning against the shed doors.
"Well you see ma'am. Harry has this truck he keeps talking about and We thought we might be able to get a ride back." Rodney said with a grin.
"Really? And if it was broke down again?"
"Oh well. We'd have figured something out right?" He asked looking at Denver who shrugged laconically.
"So you and Richard did a good job on the roof." Lily said with a wink.
"Uh yeah. Thanks. Have you heard from Luna or her mama."
"Yes. Pandora said they'll be running a bit late. They will be here though." Lily said, "Behave yourself boys, and Becky."
"Yes ma'am." Everyone chorused then once Lily was out of earshot Rodney shook his head, "Damn Harry I wish my momma was as easy about having two girlfriends."
Denver snorted, "Really we look twice at a girl and she's gotta check her book before saying we can't go dating her."
Austin laughed, "Yeah cause you guys are cousins to half the girls in the school."
"Yeah but its not like they're first cousins." Rodney laughed.
"You are a sick puppy. You know that." Becky shook her head.
"Wanna feel my nose to make sure?" Rodney leaned in wrinkling his nose at her.
Harry slammed the hood laughing, "Down boy. You know she's got eyes for a few good men."
"Or at least one of them." Denver stated.
"Of course. She would only want the best." He said flexing his muscles.
"Oh my hero." Rodney cooed batting his eyes as he clutched his chest.
"Oh shut up you asshole." Austin grumped throwing an oily rag at him.
"Just don't ask, don't tell." Rodney laughed catching the rag and throwing it back.
"Get him to the motel." Denver laughed.
Harry heard the bell ringing from the main house. "Dinner on. C'mon and straighten up you guys."
"Yes sir. I hope Your gramma made her fried chicken. That's summa the best in the whole hollar." Rodney declared leading the way with the others following at a jog behind him.
The group had arrived at the porch where Rachel checked their hands for oil, sending Austin and Rodney to the well to wash their hands in the cold water drawn from the bedrock below. The long table on the back porch was laid out with a sheet cake with Brown Sugar icing, cold pop in a washbin of ice and water with a few beers for the adults. Richard had a jar of some clear liquid everyone knew wasn't water.
There were a few neatly wrapped presents sitting at the end of the table which Harry ignored as the smell of fried chicken hit him. "Wow this is all the fixins."
"Well its not every day our young man turns sixteen." Rachel said proudly.
Headlights swing over the barn as a vehcile pulled up. Lily smiling, "See there's Pandora and your girls now."
Harry was grinning until the last guests came around the corner into the light. His mouth dropped as Hermione walked beside Luna holding a small box against her T-shirt clad body. The shirt was dark blue with a bright red heart across the front of it, the curves of the heart coincidentally riding over the upper curves of her bosom. Tight blue denims that were tucked into a pair of brown western boots showed she had strong curvy legs. Her hair was a shiny brown wavy cascade down to her shoulders.
"Hey breathe Harry." Rodney called out as Harry watched Hermione walked up nervously.
"Here Harry. This is for you." She said holding out the box. "Luna said you would like it."
Harry just nodded as he tried to find his voice. Pandora and Lily exchanged a look of success as Luna stood beside the two of them.
"Ah believe the appropriate thing would be to give the girl a kiss son." Richard said quietly.
"Uh yes. Thank you Hermione." Harry said quickly pecking her on the cheek.
Luna handed Harry a small box as well. Getting a kiss on the cheek as well.
After grace the dinner went down quickly with everyone enjoying the food and laughing as Harry kept staring at Hermione who sat quietly blushing across from Harry.
Opening his gifts he carefully unwrapped each one folding the paper to the side thanking the person. When he got to Hermione's he pulled a folding knife out of his pocket. He recognized the symbol on the side as from Wylde Chylde's and smiled. Luna had gotten him some music CD's which the group listened to for a bit after dinner.
"Alright everyone. Thomas you can drive the McGuire boys back home?" Lily said more than asked.
"Uh yeah? Sure." He said nodding towards his truck, "C'mon boys. Load em up."
"Goodnight Harry." Rodney said slapping him on the back, leaning in to say in a stage whisper, "You lucky dog."
After his friends left Lily stopped Harry as he was cleaning up the porch. "Why don't you get Luna and Hermione to help you get your loot haul down to the trailer. Pan and I can help Rachel."
Harry looked into the kitchen where Rachel was talking to Pandora. Richard having retired to his bed already due to finishing his medicine. "Are you sure?" Harry asked.
Lily gave him a knowing look as she took the stack of plates from him.
…..
"So this is your room?" Hermione asked as they entered.
"Yeah." Harry breathlessly said setting his gifts on the dresser that had several model cars on it. Turning he waved aimlessly, "Its not much but its comfortable."
Hermione looked around, there was a small bed, a dresser, a closet and not much else. Model planes hung by wires in two corners, posters of cars hung on the wall. Everything seemed to be neat and tidy. Swallowing nervously she nodded, "So I can see."
"So uh. You look really nice."
She blushed, noticing the room was small enough they were not standing too far apart. She felt a warmth rising up her neck. "Thank you. Luna helped me pick out a few things for myself today."
Luna slid between the two of them taking their hands to drag them along so the three of them wound up falling onto the bed. A brief bit of shuffling and Harry was in the middle of the two girls. Their soft bodies pressed against his.
Hermione made a small gasp at how quickly Luna had managed to make that occur. "I. Uh. I'm sorry Harry."
"Don't be. Although Luna should have asked if you wanted to first."
Hermione took a deep breath before saying, "I wanted to."
"Oh. So what else do you want to do?" Harry said in a strained voice as Luna played with his hair.
Hermione licked her lips then leaned over and kissed him. Pressing her lips to him she slid her tongue along the space between his lips briefly. Once she pulled back so they could breathe she said, "Luna suggested we give you something else for your birthday."
"Oh really?" He said looking at the impishly grinning blonde. "What did you have in mind?"
Luna got on her knees with her hands on her hips, "Well first off." She said pulling her shirt over her head. The pale capped breasts exposed made Harry sigh in delight. "We need to get a few things exposed."
Hermione closed her eyes then took her shirt off. A pale tan lace bra that hinted at the joys underneath was revealed. "I'm not quite ready to go as far as Luna with."
"Its okay. However far you wanna go." Harry said with a warm appreciative tone. "I'm enjoying myself as it is."
Hermione smiled and went back to kissing him. Letting him run his hand through her air. Luna taking a turn kissing him next as she took his hand to cup and caress her bare breasts. They had been doing this for several minutes with Harry's hands going further down each girl's backs when Luna shifted her position to run her hand over the tentpole in Harry's jeans.
"Seems like we've been ignoring another part of Harry." Luna purred.
Hermione blushed but said, "How about I pay attention to this part and let you pay attention to that part?"
"Sort of a Soloman split eh?" Luna chuckled.
Hermione looked confused for a moment before she saw Luna unzip Harry's trousers and work on his belt. She turned and started kissing him, letting his hands roam over her back as they did so. His sudden gasp made Hermione turn to see Luna had taken him in hand. Her slender fingers gripping a rather well developed penis. Hermione felt herself drawn to watch as Luna moved her hand gently as Harry made soft moans. His arm around her waist as she sat half curled against his chest put his hand on her hip. She was very much aware of how charged the air was becoming in the room as Luna let Harry's right hand caress her breasts still. Every time his hand went lower Luna brought it back up.
"You sure you don't wanna take a turn Hermione? I don't think Harry would mind."
"No. No I don't mind." Harry managed to choke out in a higher pitched voice than normal as Hermione took a deep breath and reached out with her left hand.
Luna slid her hand off letting Hermione take a grip. Adjusting slightly so that Harry's throbbing filled her hand she began to work. This was far further than she had gone with Neville, Ron or anyone and found herself breathing almost as hard as Harry was.
A few moments later Harry gave a grunt as he exploded over his stomach and chest, her hand, Luna's head even got some in her hair. Hermione slowly wiped her hand on Harry's stomach as Luna laughed, "Happy Birthday Harry?"
"Oh yeah. Very happy." He agreed in a very floating voice.
Luna waved her hand causing the mess to vanish before kissing Harry on the lips once more.
"I did alright?" Hermione asked.
Harry reached up to pull her lips down to his before he whispered "Oh yes. You done excellent."
Their moment was broken by the TV in the living room turning on loud enough to be heard. The three teens scrambling to gather their clothes and cover. Walking out to the living room they saw Thomas sitting on the couch.
"Hey guys. Lily said she hoped you three enjoyed your walk in the night air." He grinned with a wink.
"Oh yes. It was very enjoyable." Luna said leading the three of them out.
…...
Hermione and Luna had gone back to her house instead of upstairs at Pandora's suggestion. Explaining in the jeep that while Rachel might tolerate a bit of fun with Harry she had her limits and pushing them might not be polite.
"What did you mother mean by not pushing her limits?"
Luna began to undress, "Well touchin Harry like that got me a bit excited, and I think it did you too didn't it?"
Hermione blushed but nodded, "Yeah. It did. But what does that have to do with why we are here?"
"Well if you wanna I'd like to solve both our excitement problems." Luna's naked body slid into her bed, "If you want. And while Rachel might turn a blind eye to us being with Harry, bein with each other would go beyond the pale."
"Oh. I see. I think. Molly Weasley was similar. So rather than do anything with each other where she might catch us your mother brought us here."
"Exactly. I don't know what kinda noises you might make, I'm pretty quiet." Luna said grinning.
"Noises? Right. Noises."
Luna sat up, "I can go take of things in the shower if you want the bed. But I think I'd like to try it with each other if you're okay with that."
Hermione cleared her throat, "Gryffindors are nothing if not brave and willing to try new things." She declared as she began to get undressed.
Luna watched her with hooded eyes, "You do look very nice."
"You think so?" Hermione said finishing undressing. "I was so nervous. I was never allowed to wear trousers before. It felt so wicked. And I've never been naked, purposely naked, in front of someone." She nervously said sliding into the bed with Luna. "So how do we do anything?"
Luna rolled over to take Hermione in her arms giving her a kiss, "I think we can figure it out."
…...
The next morning the black Lincoln Town Car with New York tags pulled into the parking lot of the Benham Schoolhouse Inn. A tall black haired man in a turtleneck and khakis got out looking around the parking lot with dark black sunglasses hiding his eyes. He was alone having let one of his companions off along the road to make his won way to Harry's as part of the plan. The other companion was curled tightly in his luggage.
Smiling at the blonde behind the desk he confirmed his reservation and settled in to wait, hoping that Sirius did not screw this up. He had a vague sense of uneasiness that had begun to build the closer they got to this wretched place. Dismissing the uneasiness as nervousness about being this close to Lily he unpacked, letting the fat rat man stretch and settle into a chair in front of the Television. Having discovered the merits of cable television in the briefing he looked forward to exploring the options available.
Snape had not believed anyplace could make his home in Cokeworth seem urban and sophisticated until he had reached these villages they laughingly called cities. Looking out of the window he shook his head in disgust. When Lily came here she must have been desperate to hide. He had to admit this was not the sort of place he could ever have envisioned her living in.
Turning from the window he pulled a few of his potions journals out and began to catch up on his reading.
…...
The sun was over the ridge and the two girls were walking through the woods along the trail Luna and Harry had blazed to the Ecars home. They had spent the morning exploring each other's bodies and discovering that Hermione did not find touching a girl to be as unpleasant as she had been told it would be by her mother, or by Molly Weasley. Quite contrary she enjoyed it greatly as did Luna apparently.
Luna froze causing Hermione to draw her wand from the place on the belt of her cut off shorts. "What is it?"
"I saw somethin ahead." Luna dropped into a crouch with her hands flexed in a arcane posture.
Hermione had no idea what her girlfriend saw but cast a homenium revelio which showed no one near them.
A large black shaggy mastiff came bursting out of the undergrowth startling Luna and Hermione both. The dog came up to them with his tongue lolling out.
"Oh. A dog. I wonder whose he is." Hermione asked putting her wand away.
"I dunno. Don't look like one from round here."
"Perhaps Harry or his grandparents would know?" Hermione suggested.
Luna shrugged, "Maybe. He looks pretty healthy and well fed." She said petting him, "Though something don' quite feel right bout him."
Hermione looked at the dog which was sitting happily being petted, "I don't know much about mastiffs and bigger dogs. Mother preferred Poodles and my aunt had to have Corgis like Her Majesty." She said making sure to say the capital letters on those words.
"Well we'll take him to Harry's and let him figure it out." Luna said standing up. "C'mon boy." She said heading on down the trail.
The dog leapt up following her wagging his tail happily.

OfficerDonNZ: Oh there are a few surprises on the Black front. Since we are going so far off the canon train we figured that a few more steps wouldn't hurt nothing. Lily is definitely a territorial woman who will not be happy at some of the reunions.
Kgfinkel: lol. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. He is a wild card. As for Remus he is [REDACTED] and we'll see the results of that in a few chapters. Once we get [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] happening. Lolol.
Manwe Illuvian: Oh Dumbles by the end of the story will have gotten the reward he deserves. Mwahaha. Wheels within wheels. Stay tuned cause its gonna be a ride.
KingBE123: Glad you enjoy. I won't ask which one out of respect for privacy but I'm happy you like this. (BTW I bet its a dry one. Lololol. My home county was one of the wettest dry counties in all of creation.)
