The Shooting Star

Wedding Crashers

Kara walked into the reception party with Alex, as her friend, Barry Allen welcomed her.

"Hey Kara." He said, coming forward and hugging her. "Thanks for coming."

"Of course, Barry." Kara said with her bright smile. "This is my sister, Alex."

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Alex said, offering Barry a handshake. "Kara's told me a lot about you."

"Same here." Barry said. "Well go on in. Enjoy."

A few minutes later, Kara was on the top balcony of the CC Jitters of Earth 1, overlooking all the guests of Barry's wedding. She missed Revan.

"Someone looks dreamy." Kara turned to see Barry come up behind her.

"Yeah I… I'm missing someone. But he had to stay behind to take care of the city when I'm here" Kara said.

"I'm guessing you're not talking about Mon El." Barry said.

Kara flinched a bit, but she was better at handling these things now. "No. He's no longer there. I had to sent him away to protect him and I probably won't ever see him again."

"I'm sorry, but then who is this lucky guy." Barry asked, smiling, trying to diffuse any tension she might feel.

Kara blushed. "His name is Revan, and he's a superhero too. He's also fast like you, by the way, maybe faster."

"Oh is that right." Barry chuckled. "Well I'm glad you've found someone good."

"Thanks Barr." Kara said, hugging her friend again.

"But I kind of wanna ask a favor." Barry said.

"Sure what is it?" Kara asked.

"Okay so, the last adventure we had, I learnt about a cool non-superpower ability you have." Barry smiled.

"Yes." Kara said, a smile growing.

"I was wondering if you might mind breaking it out?"

Kara smiled.

Kara walked into the cortex of STAR Labs, Team Flash's headquarters. Her dress wasn't much worse for wear, but a lot else was. The wedding was crashed by Nazis, from another Earth as Dr Stein explained. Several people were in harm's way. There was an archer that matched Oliver, and a woman who was as strong as herself, with flight and heat vision, so there was a high chance she was Kryptonian. All this, along with the fact that she missed Revan, made her day messy to say the least.

She held the multiversal communicator that Revan had given her, instructing her to call him if things got rough. How tempted she was to call him over just to hug him, but she thought better of it. Especially when she'd scolded James thoroughly for doing something very similar with the beeper watch.

Presently, they were all in various parts of STAR Labs, when there was an emergency alarm, and everyone gathered back inside the Cortex.

"Earth X-ers are attacking the DN Optic Systems labs." Felicity told the team.

"Suit up." Oliver's command rung out, and everyone mobilised to meet their new Nazi friends.

.

.

This was getting messier and messier for Kara. Their Nazi adversaries from Earth X were their doppelgangers, except for Barry, who had to face the man that murdered his mother again. Oliver had Kryptonite arrows that he shot at Nazi Kara. It also didn't help that Kara-X and Oliver-X were married and one of three main villains they'll have to bring down. If only Revan were here…

Kara decided to get some fresh air, so she flew to the roof of STAR, only to find Barry sitting there.

"Hey." She called out, sitting beside him. "Needed some fresh air too?"

"Yeah, I guess." Barry replied. "Every time I see him, I'm reminded of what he did to my life."

"I'm sorry. More that this had to happen on your wedding day." Kara said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"What's got you down though, Girl of Steel?" Barry teasingly asked.

"When I said I'd come to your wedding with my sister, it didn't even occur to me that I'd miss Revan, but I do." Kara said, sighing. "Plus it doesn't exactly help that we have to essentially bring ourselves down this time. Really made me think what would have happened to Alex and the others if my pod landed somewhere unsavory."

"I think we all wonder things like these at times." Barry said, looking up into the sky. "Tell me something though. Why didn't Revan really come?"

Kara sighed. "Apparently, you were his best friend when he was a kid, until you were gunned down in front of him."

"Oh." Barry said, stunned. "But wait-"

"I know." Kara said, realizing what he was going to say. "Revan is from another Earth. His earth was destroyed, but he crash landed on my Earth, and it was too late for him to go back. It took him a while to get over that."

"Jeez." Barry sighed. Revan really had been through a lot.

"Yeah. He's even thought of killing himself a couple of times. I'd like to think I helped him out of it, but he's still haunted." Kara further said.

"You really care about him, don't you?" Barry asked, smiling.

"I… I do." Kara said, a blush on her cheeks. "I still care about Mon El, but I don't think I'll see him again. I hope he's doing well, wherever he is. But, I really do like Revan. I know it's cheesy, but he really does make me feel at home, and it's just little more than how everyone else does it."

"I get it." Barry said. "We should meet some time. Maybe have a race."

Kara laughed. "I'm not sure you'd win that one, Barr, but that'd be fun to watch."

"We should head inside, see if they have anything new." Barry said. "But good talk."

"Thanks Barr. Good talk." Kara said, before heading inside.

.

Kara switched to her suit as Felicity figured out a way to track Kara-X with her excess solar radiation, and she'd just gotten a location. A team of heroes were heading there to face the Nazis. Kara looked around, as she saw Barry, Oliver, Sara, Alex and Jax merged with Stein all ready to fight. One by one they mobilised, Barry running off, herself and Jax taking flight, Oliver using the rooftops, Sara and Alex using their bikes.

When they got to the location, turning out to be an abandoned warehouse, of course, all was quiet, until scores of Nazis burst out from every corner, attacking the heroes. Behind them was their Kara and Thawne, flying and running around. Barry went after Thawne and Kara went after her doppelganger, although they didn't limit their focus to either of them specifically, occasionally hitting some Nazis out of they way to make their partners' job easier.

"I see their Kara." Oliver said.

"And their Flash." Sara said.

"Where's their Arrow?" Alex asked, when suddenly she saw the Reverse Flash speeding at her, but was saved as Kara flew in between them, grabbed Thawne and threw him across the span of the warehouse.

Oliver looked around. This was not going well. Sure they were easily beating the soldiers, and Kara and Barry held their super powered superiors at bay, but the soldiers' numbers didn't seem to decrease. Slowly, they were getting overwhelmed, that's when Kara-X threw Kara to the ground, then grabbed Sara by the throat, holding her against one of the pillars. Oliver retrieved another Kryptonite arrow from his quiver, and shot it at Kara-X. However, she caught it in mid air, dropped Sara as she lost consciousness, and broke the arrow in half. She then threw her heat vision at Oliver, who dodged. The beams hit a reflective surface behind him, rebounding back at Kara-X and throwing her several feet back. The impact and the energy to dodge that, however, took a lot out of Oliver, and it was finally a little too much for him to handle. He slowly lost consciousness as he saw Barry and Kara still fighting, yet getting overwhelmed.

Kara looked around, seeing many of her friends getting knocked out. She took out her communicator, the one Revan gave her, and hit the emergency button.

.

.

Revan was on his way to stop what appeared to be a bank robbery. He ran in, surveying his surroundings. Three guys with regular guns. This was going to be a quick job. He quickly disarmed them, and disassembled the guns. Then he got a couple of hand cuffs from the officers outside, and restrained the perps. Suddenly, his communicator rang, and he saw the emergency beacon.

Kara was in trouble. He immediately took the perps outside and ran straight off. "Winn! Kara's in trouble. I'm off."

"Oh okay go buddy. I'll notify J'onn." Winn's voice came through the comms as Revan opened a breach and traveled to the Earth the signal came from.

Once there, he opened up his HUD. The signal from the tracking beacon on Kara's communicator came up on the map display. Revan sped off.

.

.

Kara opened her eyes to find herself bound, beside her friends. She tried breaking out of her restraints, but felt powerless. They must have red solar tech, she thought. Suddenly she saw her counterpart and Thawne standing over them, surrounded by dozens of Nazi troopers.

Within a few moments, Nazi Oliver walked.

"STAR Labs is secure. It's taken care of." He said. "We're ready to proceed as planned."

"No problem here either." Kara-X said, when suddenly she stumbled, catching herself on her knees. Oliver-X quickly rushed to her, taking her hands in his, kneeling in front of her.

"The pain." Kara-X's voice was shaky. "The pain. I don't know how much longer I can bear it."

"It's okay." Oliver-X gently spoke to his wife. " You won't have to a lot longer because.." he looked at Kara, "we found her. We found her, and now we have her." He looked back at Kara-X. "I love you. So stand."

Kara-X's eyes refilled with determination, standing up, Oliver-X doing the same.

"What are you planning?" Sara asked. "Stealing the prism was just to build a bomb, was it?"

"No." Thawne spoke. "It was so we could create a stable, wide range Red Solar Radiation field. You see the general," he continued as he pointed at Kara-X, "is dying."

"All that excess short wave radiation." Alex said, reasoning. "It's killing you."

"Like Icarus, I flew too close to the sun." Kara-X said.

"She needs a new heart." Oliver-X said, taking over. "And now we've finally found a match within reachable distance." He said, looking at Kara.

"You're not touching my sister!" Alex suddenly yelled.

"Hey." Oliver called to his Nazi self. "I'm going to kill you."

"No you won't." Oliver-X said, taunting him. "You're too… soft."

Suddenly, there was a loud noise, then a flash of blinding white light. Everyone was a little stunned, their vision getting blurry. Kara smiled.

When the lights went normal, all the soldiers were on the ground, unconscious, several fading white neon silhouettes of a man all around the area.

"So" a vibrating, distorted voice rung out, "Nazis, Kara?"

"Yeah." Kara said.

The three Nazis superiors saw a man in a white and black suit, white specks of light flickering all over him, eyes glowing, hair floating up.

"Who are you?" Oliver-X asked.

"I'm the Comet. Although you probably don't know me." Revan said.

"Is that…" Barry began, but didn't need to finish as he saw Kara's smile. This was Revan.

"Fancy lights, but you're a little outnumbered here." Oliver-X said.

"You should surrender." Thawne's distorted voice rung out, his mask already in place.

"You know us hero types. We just don't get it, do we?" Revan said. "I'll try to make this quick, one way or another.

Then he ran forward.

Thawne suddenly cried out in pain, falling down. Kara-X looked at Thawne, stunned. This hero was faster than anything she'd ever seen. She then turned towards her husband, to find Revan already holding Oliver-X up against a wall, Revan's hand vibrating inside his chest.

"You know a speedster like me can phase. I broke your speedster's spine, and I can crush his any moment. Will you stand down to save your partner?" Revan spoke in his vibrating voice.

Kara-X gritted her teeth. She understood that this speedster was different. Not only was he faster than most other speedsters, or smarter than these other heroes, he wasn't hesitant to do what was necessary, breaking someone's back in a moment.

"Fine. I'll stand down." Kara-X said. Revan removed his hand from inside her husband's chest, then hit him on the head, knocking him out cold.

Kara-X then snapped forward, throwing a punch. Revan however, was faster. He dodged to the side, readying a blast of Red Solar radiation, and kryptonite radiation. He then hit Kara-X with an open palm, slipping the energy into her. Kara-X stumbled backwards. She tried to hit Revan again, but stumbled, feeling weaker. She then looked at Revan.

"What did you do?" she yelled at him.

"Nothing you need to know." Revan said, before speeding towards her and punching her, knocking her out.

Revan then ran straight to where Kara was restrained, opening them up, followed by everyone else's restraints.

"You okay?" Revan asked, cupping Kara's cheek, concern on his face.

"Yeah." Kara said, smiling.

Revan smiled in return, giving Kara a kiss on her forehead.

"Sorry to ruin your moment, but who are you?" Oliver asked, standing up.

"This is my… uh…" Kara stumbled a little. "My boyfriend."

"Oh." Oliver said, awkward.

"Revan." He introduced himself, extending his hand. "You guys alright?"

"Yes. Thanks for the assist." Oliver said, accepting the handshake.

"I'll restrain these Nazis. Give me a moment." Revan said and got to work. He ran all around the warehouse at super speed, tying up the soldiers first, then getting to work on the big three.

"Whoa" Barry said, coming up next to Kara. "He's fast."

"I know. Even I can't keep up with him most of the times." Kara said, her eyes never leaving Revan.

Revan took the restraints originally meant for Kara, and bound up Kara-X. He didn't have to worry much about the speedster. His spine was broken. Even if he was free, he wasn't running, or even walking anywhere.

Barry walked forward to greet their saviour. "Hey. I'm Barry." Barry could swear he saw the same pain he saw behind Kara's eyes and his own.

"Hello Barry. I'm Revan." Revan said, the two shaking hands.

"Kara tells me we were friends on your Earth." Barry said, "I'm sorry, I know how hard it must be for you. Thanks for coming."

"You're always helping. Thanks Barry." Revan said, sadly.

"We have to help our friends back at STAR Labs." Barry said to the rest of the team.

A few other soldiers entered the warehouse, led by a robot with what appeared to be a massive kryptonite radiation generator in it's chest.

"Metallo" Kara said, as the robot let loose a huge blast of green energy. Revan however was quick to step in front of, taking the direct hit and absorbing the energy. Metallo didn't stop firing beams, as it was essentially keeping many if them busy. The soldiers used to opportunity to pop some flashbangs, to get their superior officers out of there. Oliver was about to spring into action when he saw who was leading the soldiers. It was Quentin Lance's doppelganger. In the second's distraction, he missed his own counterpart being freed, he threw an explosive near Oliver. While Barry saved Oliver, it gave them time to escape.

"Damn it." Oliver said. "They're gone."

"We'll find them. And stop them." Barry promised.

"Rev you okay?" Kara asked a panting Revan, holding him up.

"Yeah. You know me." Revan smirked. "I had to save you from the big robot."

"Shut up, Rev." Kara said, hugging him.

"We need to free STAR Labs." Barry said.

"Let's do it." Revan and Kara said together.

.

.

"Kara, super vision." Revan said as the heroes assembled on a rooftop near STAR Labs.

"Yeah." Kara said, stretching her vision. "Wow how big is this place?"

"Focus, Kara." Oliver said from behind them.

"Right." Kara scoped the entire complex, relaying the information to the team. Then they got to work.

Barry, Revan and Kara sped through the entirety of STAR Labs, knocking out Nazi soldiers. Oliver and the others went for the main areas, while Jax called in the rest of the Legends, freeing the others held prisoner in the holding cells inside the pipeline. Soon, STAR Labs was back under the heroes' control.

"Now what?" Kara said.

"We can't play defence against these guys." Revan said. "They've been planning for everything. So far, you've been at a disadvantage because you've been reacting to what they've already planned. I wasn't part of it, so we were able to turn the tables. Now I will be, since I've shown myself. We need to go offensive."

"I agree. How fast can we track them?" Oliver said.

"You guys have a tech team right?" Revan asked Barry. "I can help, plus my powers can also help track them."

"Alright then let's do it." Barry said, leading Revan to the Cortex, where Cisco and the others were waiting, and they started introducing themselves.

"Hey I'm Cisco Ramone." Cisco said, stepping forward. "Can I say, your suit looks incredible, and your name snaps."

"Thanks." Revan said.

"We also need to talk about your powers, but later." Cisco said. "There's Felicity, our software end. I'm mostly hardware. The doctor should be in soon… ahh." He said as Caitlin walked in from the medbay. "This is… uh…" Cisco stopped.

Revan had tears in his eyes. "Cait?"

X-X-X-X-X

This one certainly was an interesting one to write. Crisis on Earth X is under way in earnest. Also, Revan finally meets Earth-1 Barry and Caitlin, even though there's a bit of a cliff hanger.

As always, review and let me know what you think, and what you like or don't like.

Stay tuned for the next chapter and I'll see you guys again soon! Peace!

P.S. Regarding one complaint- I understand where you're coming from, and I do try to keep standalone A/N updates to a minimum. But that one had to be done, because those who needed to know had already read the previous chapter, and they would most likely miss it if I put it there. Still, I hear you, so no worries.
