The next day was a slow day at work. No major crimes, gruesome murders, or even petty theft. Great for the average citizen of D.C. not so great for Tony, who was now stuck going over files and filling out paperwork. He looked up after completing yet another form to realize the Bullpen was half empty. Gibbs was in a meeting with the director, but Tim had vanished.

"Pssst, Ziva," he whispered, trying to get her attention, "Where's McGeek?"

She looked up and furrowed her brow when she saw Tim wasn't there. "I don't know, he came in earlier, but I haven't seen him since lunch."

Frowning Tony shoved the papers in his desk and went to investigate, Ziva following close behind. Autopsy was empty, there were no dead bodies after all, so that just left the lab. The sound of laughter as he got closer confirmed his suspicions.

"Tony, Ziva, come look!" Abby said, dragging them over to the table, "Jimmy drew us!"

On the table were a series of drawings, with each of them as their characters. They were good, not Kate good, but still good.

"Since when could you draw Palmer?" Tony asked, picking up the drawing of him as a fighter. It looked just like him, except the character was wearing armor and posing dramatically with a sword.

"They're beautiful, Jimmy," Ziva said.

Jimmy shrugged, "It's nothing. I've been wanting to practice drawing people, and this just gave me the opportunity."

"Well I think it's amazing," Abby said, "I'm going to hang it on my wall."

"You gonna do that before or after you get back to work?" asked a voice from behind them.

They turned around to see an annoyed Gibbs.

"Hey Boss," Tony said, "We were just... ummm."

"Looking at Jimmy's artwork," Abby finished, "Isn't it great?"

Gibbs frowned as he looked at the drawing, "What is that, a lizard?"

"It's her Dnd character Boss," Tim said, "You know Dungeons and Dragons? We've been playing a campaign together."

"It's a lot of fun," Abby said, "You should join us sometime."

Gibbs looked from their eager faces to the drawings of the weird creatures holding various weapons, and laughed, "No thanks Abs, now get back to work all of you."

"Smooth, Abby," Tim whispered as Gibbs left the room.

"Eh it was worth a shot."

It was a few more days before they were able to play, and Tony found himself looking forward to it. Sure the math was boring, but the actual game wasn't to hard, plus watching Jimmy stress out over dice rolls was always amusing.

"Since last time ended with Jimmy and tony almost dying, I'm going to start with Abby and Ziva, that way you both can rest," Tim said, setting up his divider.

"We want to go down the path Ziva was originally going down before she had to come save me," Abby said.

"The hallway is almost completely empty. There's a few old rugs on the floor, and a broken chandelier hanging from the ceiling, ahead of you you see a staircase going down into the darkness."

"Roll for perception," Tony said before he could stop himself.

"Tony it's not your turn."

"It's just a suggestion."

"It's an empty hallway," Ziva pointed out, "Why would we need to roll?"

"Me and Jimmy almost got killed by a tree."

"Fair point, I want to roll for perception," Abby said.

"What'd you get?"

"A 19," Abby said smugly.

Tim rolled his eyes, "It's an empty hallway."

"Thanks Tony."

"Hey it's a valid concern. Last time we didn't roll perception we almost died."

"Anyway," Tim continued, "Do you want to go down the staircase?"

Abby turned to Ziva who shrugged, "I'm in."

"Let's do it!"

"You go down the stone staircase and find a door at the bottom of it. It's locked."

"Ohh Ziva you're a rouge, pick the lock!"

Ziva narrowed her eyes at Tim, "First, I would like to roll for perception."

"Tony you've ruined everyone. They're all paranoid now," Tim joked.

"Don't kill me with bugs and you won't have these issues."

Ziva rolled and got a 16, she looked at Tim expectantly.

Tim sighed, "You realize that the lock is booby-trapped."

"Yes!" Abby said high-fiving Ziva.

"See! This is why we have trust issues, you're sneaky."

"I was really looking forward to that getting someone," Tim muttered, flipping through his notes, "Alright Ziva, roll to see if you can pick the lock."

Ziva opened the door and Tim resumed his narration.

"The door opens to reveal five skeletons, you caught them by surprise, so you get to attack first."

Ziva rolled to attack and tried to slice them with her sword.

"You hit them and cut the lead skeleton in half, but he just reforms, angrier now than he was before."

"Shit, what do we do?" Abby said.

"Try using one of your spells," Jimmy suggested.

"I don't know, " Abby said scanning her list, "I don't think any of these are useful except for... Oh! I use Summon Water!"

"Summon Water." Tim said staring at her.

"Yep."

"How is water going to help us defeat skeletons?" Ziva asked.

"I don't know, drown them?"

"You want to drown skeletons."

"I didn't hear any of you coming up with a plan."

"How much water does that spell summon anyway?" Jimmy asked.

"Ten gallons."

"You want to drown skeletons, which don't need to breathe, in ten gallons of water?" Tony asked, struggling not to laugh.

"Yep," Abby said, crossing her arms, "You have a problem with that?"

"You know what, go for it," Tim said laughing and handing her the dice.

"Thank you," Abby said, rolling.

"No way."

"Of all the times-"

"Nat Twenty baby!" Abby said pumping her fist.

Tim put his head in his hands, "Alright, somehow, with only ten gallons of water you manage to drown the skeletons. They get smashed to pieces or something."

Ziva, Abby, and Jimmy cheered while Tony tried not to laugh at the look on Tim's face.

"Ok so now that you've drowned the skeletons," Tim said, his tone making it clear how ridiculous he thought the whole situation was, "You notice another door leading deeper into the house. What do you do?"

"You should wait for us to join you," Jimmy suggested, "That way we can all fight whatever is in there."

"Sounds good," Abby said.

"Ok so Abby and Ziva take a short rest while Jimmy and Tony come over. Together the four of you open the door and walk into the dark hallway..."
