The walking fortress of Phantom Lord stood out in the open waters a good distance from the cliffs that the broken guild hall of Fairy Tail currently stood. A cannon had rolled out above the main gate of it, and slowly began to charge a great amount of energy. As the power began to build, the guild members on the cliff began to panic.

"What the hell is Jose thinking?" Jellal stated in shock.

"How are supposed to block that?!" Natsu shouted in surprise, mimicking the panicked cries of his fellow guildmates.

Erza remained focused however, and immediately took a step towards the edge of the cliff. Even if Deliora had broke her adamantine shields, she could surely block most of it with the armor. "I can-"

"Everyone get back!" another voice interrupted before she could finish. The source was Ur, who had already run halfway to the cliff. As everyone ran away, she came to a stop and put her hands together to begin her Ice-Make Magic.

"Ur!" Gray and Lyon both shouted. They both tried to run over to her, but Ultear grabbed them both.

"Don't! You'll only get in Mom's way. She can handle this, trust her." Ultear said through grit teeth, obviously fighting the same impulse to rush over and help.

The energy of the cannon stopped growing for a second, and in a sudden flash shot towards the Guild as a giant beam of light. Ultear slammed her hands down at the same time.

"Ice-Make: Grand Lotus Shield!"

Many layers of Ice began to shoot out of the floor like the petals of a flower, but each one was nearly a story tall. They sprouted up and layered overtop each other until they formed a great wall of ice. The beam closed the distance and hit the shield with a force that shook the entire cliffside. The sound of Ice creaking and shattering under the pressure echoed across the entire town, but Ur remained unfazed, continuing to spawn more petal shields without pause.

Eventually the beam stopped, and the cliffside ceased its shaking. The damage had been done though, and the Ice shield that Ur had created began to collapse, each petal falling apart or crumbling into pieces until the cliff was covered in chunks of ice. Ur herself also fell on her knees, breathing roughly from magical exhaustion.

"Mom!" Ultear yelled as she, Gray, and Lyon all ran over to her side.

"How predictable, you Fairy Tail Mages!" the cocky voice of Jose rang out from the Phantom Lord building, magically echoing across the waters. "Now that all that's left of your pathetic S-Class Mages are a bunch of whelps, I think its time to talk the conditions of your surrender."

"That bastard. Thinks we're nothing but chumps, does he?" Natsu asked, rage clearly boiling on his face.

"Hand over Lucy Heartphilia! Make it quick, and I might save your pathetic guild from further embarrassment!" Jose laughed.

Lucy froze at the words. She looked out at Ur, seeing the pain she was in due to her own problems. She couldn't let anyone else get dragged into this. With an uneasy breath she took a step forward. "I'll…"

"Forget it!" Natsu shouted over her, stomping towards the Phantom Lord building. "We'll just smash you into the sea! We'd never give up one of our own!"

"You'll have to knock us all six feet under before you even lay a hand on her!"

"Yeah, we don't betray family here!"

"Go ahead and scram already, you jerk!"

Lucy looked around at her guildmates in bewilderment. She could only speak in quiet disbelief as her eyes teared up. "Why. Why are you going through so much trouble just for me…?"

"You ungrateful… Do you truly wish to involve yourself so? Either hand her over or be destroyed!" Jose growled, clearly upset by the direction his negotiations were taking.

"Go to hell!" Ur shouted, pushing herself up to her feet with great difficulty. "Anyone in this guild is our family, blood or no! If it's between her life and mine, then I give mine up every time!"

An ineligible noise could be heard from the Phantom Lord's leader, before his voice began to shout out again. "FINE, if you're all so willing to throw your life away, then enjoy another shot of Jupiter! I'll give you the fifteen minutes of recharge time to contemplate your soon to be fleeting mortality!"

As Jose's line finally went silent, Lucy couldn't hold back her tears any longer. Lisanna noticed her and pulled her into a hug. She finally let her voice out. "This isn't right. I… You guys are too important to me. I don't want to lose you all too." She cried.

"I know, but you mean just as much to us. We don't want to lose you either, so trust us." Lisanna said. "This is why me and my siblings joined Fairy Tail, because they stuck up for us when others wouldn't."

Lucy pulled out of the hug and wiped her tears away. "Yeah, you're right. This isn't just about me, but Fairy Tail. Let's go and teach those guys a lesson then!"

As Lisanna finished giving Lucy her pep talk, Jellal and Erza looked between each other with a glance. He turned towards the two girls and cleared his throat. "While I appreciate your dedication, I believe it's best if you lay low. There's a warehouse in town that we use as a safehouse. I doubt Phantom Lord has learned about it, so you'd be safe there until this is dealt with."

Lucy turned to him in surprise. "What?! But this is my fault, it's only fair that I help fight!"

Jellal shook his head. "No one thinks this is your fault, and besides, Jose has no problem leveling this place even if you are here. He's clearly gone off the rails. You'd likely be in more danger if we handed you over now."

"But I won't just let you-" Lucy had begun, but Jellal put a hand to her head. There was the sound of a bubble popping, and her eyes suddenly became heavy. She quickly fell into Lisanna's arms, sound asleep from the spell.

"What the hell Jellal?" Lisanna gasped in disbelief, struggling to carry the sudden sleeper.

"Sorry, but she's a headstrong girl who has a history of not following rules when it comes to her friends. I can see why you and Natsu like her so much." Jellal replied with a chuckle. Ignoring the girl's stuttering, he turned to his team. "Sho, Simon, Wally, Millianna. You four go escort Lucy and Lisanna. I don't doubt they'll try something again."

"What, why me too?" Lisanna whined again.

"I can tell you have been running on fumes ever since you got back from Galuna Island. Besides, someone needs to be there to support her right now." Jellal said, glancing back at the Phantom Lord Headquarters. "Now get moving. It looks like Jose's getting impatient."

"What?" Lisanna followed his gaze and saw what appeared to be an army of ghosts floating out of the building and flying across the sea. "Those things again?!"

"I think it's time to get moving, young lady!" Wally said in a hurry. Simon reached down and picked up Lucy from Lisanna's arms, and the five went running off into town towards the safehouse. As they disappeared down the street, Jellal and Erza began walking towards the approaching army of specters.

"I'm sure Mira would appreciate you getting her sister out of harms way like that." Erza began.

"I'm just thankful that Elfman is still at Porlyusica's. He wouldn't be so easily swayed from this fight, even with an injured arm." Jellal chuckled, before getting a serious face. "Those things approaching are from Jose's Shade Magic. Unless he runs out of magic those things will likely keep coming."

"He's trying to keep us busy until the Jupiter cannon is ready and considering how exhausted Ur was blocking the shot…" Erza got a thoughtful look on her face. "The only solution is to deal with both problems at the source."

Jellal nodded. "Exactly my thinking. Unfortunately, between you and me, I don't think I could beat Jose even with you and Ultears help. Maybe if we had Mira we could, but… right now the only match for him is the Master."

"Let me guess, you want to distract Jose yourself while me and Ultear deal with the cannon and retrieve Wendy to heal the Master." Erza sighed. "It's risky, but we are really running low on options. Let's get moving."

By the time they finished talking they were at the edge of the cliff next to Ur and her children. Jellal turned back to the rest of Fairy Tail looking at him expectedly. He stood up straight and did his best to look confident. "Erza, Ultear, and I are going to go to Jose and dealing with that cannon ourselves! Everyone stay strong and you'll be able to deal with these Shades. Remember, they'll keep coming, so pace yourselves and don't waste your magic."

The mages present let out a great cheer, beginning to prepare for the upcoming battle. As they did, Ultear turned to them, looking rather worried. "So… If we want to be the ones to take down the Jupiter cannon, we should probably hurry."

Jellal raised an eyebrow. "And why is that?"

Ultear pointed a thumb behind her at Lyon, who was trying his best to look in any direction but theirs as he tended to Ur. "Natsu convinced him to make an ice hawk to fly over there while you two were talking to Lucy. He's probably already in the building by now, as long as he didn't melt the thing and end up in the ocean."

"Natsu…" Erza couldn't help but sigh. With Happy and Charla at Porlyusica's, she supposed there wasn't many ways to get over there. A part of her was impressed he was able to figure out who among them had the capability to fly him there so quickly. "Let's get moving, before that hothead gets himself into too much trouble."

Jellal nodded in agreement. He began to glow a bright gold as his Heavenly Body Magic took effect. He wrapped an arm around each of his fellow S-Class Mages. "Alright, hold on tight. Meteor!"

The three of them shot up off the ground and started racing towards the Phantom Lord Headquarters at great speed, leaving a brilliant trail of light as they flew. They passed right above the shades, who continued towards the rest of the guild. They flew right through the doors of the building, and Jellal set his passengers down.

"Split up! Don't stop for anything until you find Wendy or the cannon!" Jellal shouted, before flying down the main hall in another burst of Meteor towards the top tower, and Jose himself. 'I won't let the Master down, not after everything him and the guild have done for my friends. Prepare yourself, Jose!'

"C'mon, melt you stupid thing!" Natsu shouted, throwing a flaming fist onto the exterior of Jupiter's barrel. The fire appeared to barely leave a scorch mark, however. "Damn, so much for the easy route. Fine! I'll just crawl inside the thing. There's bound to be something fragile in there eventually." He immediately hopped in the barrel of the giant death cannon and began crawling along it. "Damn this is cramped, what were they thinking when they made this? Oh hey, a light!"

Once Natsu reached the light, he found himself staring down into a room full of machinery. The main feature of the room appeared to be a giant black lacrima crystal in front of him raised into the center of the room, with many large tubes stuck into it.

"Bingo! That thing looks important enough to me! Fire Dragon's Fist!" Natsu leapt from the end of the barrel and towards the lacrima, but as he flew forward his flaming fist suddenly swerved straight into his face. "Gwhu?!"

Momentum suddenly thrown off by the self-inflicted punch, Natsu proceeded to fall ungratefully towards the floor, bouncing of it before tumbling into a roll. Finally sliding to his feet, he looked around the room frantically. "Why the hell did I just punch myself in the face?! I know I didn't mean to do that!"

"I'd apologize for such actions, but someone such as yourself deserves it for breaking and entering into our home." A voice said snidely to him. Natsu turned to see a man in red ninja-like gear and two-toned monochrome hair. A katana also hung at his side. "The name is Totomaru of the Great Flame. I am one of the Element Four, Phantom Lord's S-Class Mages."

"Great Flame, eh? Sorry to tell you this, but you probably just picked the worst fight of your life." Natsu shouted, going to throw another flaming fist at him.

Totomaru merely flicked a finger in Natsu's direction. "That's my line."

Natsu's fist flew straight into his face again, causing him to somersault to the side a few times. As he regained his bearings, he stared at his opponent carefully. "What the hell is going on here?"

"Blue Fire!" Totomaru shouted as a tornado of cerulean flames shot out of his arms around Natsu. But the flames quickly flew began to enter Natsu's mouth as he ate up the attack. "What?!"

"Brrr, that was cold! What kind of fire was that?" Natsu questioned as he finished devouring the flames.

"Wait a minute, you're the Fire Dragon Slayer, aren't you?" Totomaru realized. "Well, this is quite the stalemate. It appears that we can both negate each others attacks. Unfortunately for you, I'm not the one who needs to worry about dragging out this fight."

As if on que, the giant lacrima began to glow and spark as magic was poured in through the tubes. The energy was so much that the pressure in the entire room began to change, weighing down on the two combatants.

"Crap!" Natsu exclaimed, running towards Totomaru with his fists raised. "Fine, if I can't use my fire, I'll just punch your lights out!"

"Oh? So we've resorted to a simple brawl? I'm afraid for you, that that is the field where I have an advantage." Totomaru smirked, drawing the katana at his hip with lightning speed.

Natsu ducked under the opening swipe and tried to aim a swing at his face but had to jump away as he brought the sword back in a swipe. He wasn't fast enough though and got a small nick on his forearm.

"Damn, this guy's almost as fast as Erza!" Natsu commented as he jumped away. "If only I had something to even out the reach… Ah ha!"

Natsu quickly took of his scarf, leaving it tied up so the space for his head was still there. He then began running towards his opponent again without faltering.

"What do you think your going to pull now?" Totomaru questioned, raising his sword into position for another swipe. As soon as the Dragon Slayer entered range, he swung the blade down as quick as before.

But Natsu barely dodged the attack again, scraping his cheek, and looped the scarf around the blade. He tightened the knot and gave it a great tug. Not expecting such strong leverage, the blade went flying out of Totomaru's hands and behind Natsu.

"What the hell?! Why didn't my blade cut through?" he cried as he leapt back.

"There's nothing tougher than dragon scales! Now let's see how well you do in a fistfight!" Natsu shouted as he ran forward with his fists raised.

"You're not the only one with a few tricks! Orange Flame!" Totomaru lifted a hand, and a new colored flame emerged from it.

As the flames approached, Natsu just grinned and opened his mouth and prepared to eat the attack. But as the fire washed over him, his nose finally realized what was wrong with this attack.

"Ahhhh! It stinks? What kind of attack is this?! I can't eat this!"

"Surprised? I honestly never thought I'd find myself in a position to use these flames, but it seems the perfect counter to a lizard like you!" Totomaru remarked joyfully as his opponent rolled on the floor in pain. He spared a glance up at the Lacrima powering Jupiter. 'Only a minute or two until it fires. After the second shot, he'll have no morale left to keep fighting. This fool has done a great job wasting all his time playing with me.'

As the pungent flame finally dissipated, Natsu got up and finally looked up at the Lacrima as well. "Guess I should probably deal with this thing before I finish you off, huh?"

Totomaru just laughed. "Unless you forgot, I can still control your magic with my Pyrokinesis. Unless you can punch me out and break that Lacrima in a minute, your friends are as good as toast!"

"Nah, I think I'll just skip right to the important part." Natsu said, bending down and drawing on as much magic within himself as he could. "Fire Dragon's Outrage!"

At Natsu's words, his whole body was enveloped in flames. The flames grew out into whips of flame, striking all around him in wild frenzy. They smashed into machinery around the room, breaking and melting them to pieces. Eventually, one headed straight towards the Lacrima.

"No!" Totomaru cried, reaching out a hand and freezing the flaming appendage. He tried to control the rest of the flames surrounding Natsu back towards him but found that they weren't all bending to his will. "You can't be serious?!"

Natsu smirked at his opponent through the flames. As more and more fire shot out in wild directions, Totomaru found his control beginning to waver. The flames bundled around Natsu began to build out like a balloon about to pop. Eventually, it reached the tipping point, and the flames contained exploded out in every direction.

Totomaru focused all his power into pushing away the wave of crimson rushing right towards him. As the fire passed harmlessly by him, he was powerless to prevent the same wave from crashing into the giant Lacrima. A great crack echoed over the roaring flames as it began to split under the pressure. The orb continued fracturing more and more, until it became too damaged to contain the magic meant for the Jupiter cannon and it began to spark violently. He couldn't help but stare agape at the destruction.

"You're insane! How the hell are you able to use more fire than I can control?!"

Natsu never got a chance to reply, as the Lacrima finally shattered into hundreds of pieces, and releasing the magic contained inside. The room became blinding bright as the force of the explosion blew him down, overwhelming his power again and knocking him unconscious.

"What the hell is going on!" Jose shouted as the entire building shook violently.

One of the Phantom Lord members turned to him from the control panel he was facing. "S-Sir, it appears that the Jupiter Cannon's core has been destroyed. From the inside."

Jose watched in annoyance as the giant cannon barrel broke off from the front of his headquarters and fell into the sea below. "I noticed. What is that fool Totomaru doing?"

He looked out to where his Shades were fighting the remaining Fairy Tail mages, who were cheering at their momentary victory. While he could no doubt outlast all of them by simply standing here, he didn't have the time to waste on them. Especially now that their remaining S-Class Mages were running rampant in his own base.

"I don't have time to waste on this. Activate the Phantom !" Jose ordered.

"Yes sir!" the mage said, before running off and barking more orders to his fellow guildmates.

As he felt the building begin to shift around him, Jose pondered what to do next. Just then, one of the communicator lacrima in front of him sparked to life.

"Hey boss, I got the girl we need, plus a little extra!" The voice of Gajeel said through the orb.

"Ah, finally some good news. And what's this extra thing you brought?" Jose asked expectantly.

"A little lady I remember you describing as having helped her get away last time. I figured since Salamander was so close to the two of them that I'd let them both watch me kick his ass." Gajeel explained, his laugh crackling roughly through the receiver.

Jose couldn't help but smirk at Gajeel's thoughtfulness. He really has a man after his own heart. "Well then, how could I say no. Take them both to the cells and meet up with me in my office. We have some planning to do." He then leaned back in his chair as the communicator flicked off.

'Should I tell them that we have Heartphilia now and break their spirits now? No, not until my Element 4 have dealt with the remain bugs crawling around my castle. Once I'm sure that there they have lost their remaining hope, I'll drag the two women out there myself so they can watch their guilds fighting spirit leave their eyes.'

"As soon as the transformation is finished, begin the Abys Break. Let's see how long their hope last against total annihilation." Jose ordered to his men.

"But sir! That would destroy half the town!" One of them said.

"We're not going to actually fire the thing, you fool. We just need to make it clear how completely outmatched they are." Jose said placatively.

"Ah, I see. Of course, sir, right away."

Natsu tried to get up with a groan, feeling like every inch of his body had been pushed to the limit. As he tried to get up, he noticed that he was lying on one of the walls of the room he had just been in. He nearly got vertigo as he tried to regain his bearings.

"How long was I out?" Natsu questioned. Looking around, he spotted Totomaru lying unconscious next his sword, scarf still wrapped around hit. He reached down and unwrapped the scarf and inspected it. "I'll be taking this back. And not a scratch, just as Igneel had told me."

"Natsu?!" Looking towards the voice, Natsu saw Ultear standing in one of the hallways. "I see you managed to take down the Jupiter cannon. Nice work!"

"Ah, it was nothing!" Natsu said. "But uh, what exactly is going on now? I doubt my attack was big enough to knock the whole damn guild over."

Ultear shook her head. "I'm afraid the answer is just as ridicules. The Phantom Lord base has somehow turned into a giant mechanical soldier."

"No way! that's crazy!"

"Take a look for yourself." Ultear suggested, gesturing to a hole in the wall Natsu himself created. Walking over he could see part of the chest and arm.

"Wow, it's just one thing after the other with these guys. And what's with that giant magic circle it's drawing?"

"It's a forbidden spell called Abyss Break. I learned about it when… Well, it doesn't matter where I learned about it. The long and short of it is that if that spell finishes being drawn then half the town will literally be vaporized." Ultear explained.

Natsu shouted out in rage. "You're kidding! After all the work I went through to stop the cannon, they just pull out an even bigger attack. And how do we stop this one?"

Ultear shook her head. "The spell requires the power of the four elements in order to activate. The same as the Element Four themselves, so I imagine they likely have some idea on how the spell was set up."

Natsu looked over his shoulder at the still-sleeping Totomaru. "Well, I don't think we're getting any answers out of him anytime soon."

Ultear looked back as well, recognizing the man's identity now. "You beat one of the Element Four? Well, that's one less opponent we'll have to deal with. Look, you should head back. You've already used up a bunch of magic today and-"

"Screw that! I'm not leaving until I've got Wendy! And socked that Gajeel guy! And that Jose too for kidnapping Lucy!" Natsu shouted.

"Natsu, you can't fight Jose. He's too powerful for all of us." Ultear tried to explain. "But I suppose we could use some help finding Wendy. But don't push yourself too hard. Me and Erza don't want to have to waste time rescuing you as well."

"Yeah, yeah, I got it." Natsu complained, before running off towards one of the hallways. "See you in a bit. If you run into Gajeel, give him a slug in the face for me!"

"Natsu, wait!" Ultear tried to shout as he disappeared don the corridor. "I just went that way…"

As she brought a hand to her face in exasperation, she looked around the room for where to go next. Looking up, she noticed a gaping hole in the ceiling.

"Well, up it is." She shrugged. Putting her hands together, she created a bundle of icy vines underneath her that proceeded to grow straight up. The tower of vines eventually reached the hole in the ceiling, revealing herself to be near the robot's right shoulder.

As she took a step out onto the exterior of the mecha-building, she felt a rain drop on her head. Looking up, she saw that dark clouds had begun to form above her, which began to relentlessly pour rain down upon her.

"Where did this freak downpour come from?" Ultear questioned.

"Steady and gentle…"

Looking back down, Ultear noticed a woman approaching her. Her hair and outfit were a deep blue, and she carried a colorful parasol above her head. She gave Ultear a blank look. "Juvia is the rain-woman of the Element Four. I am surprised Totomaru has been beaten already, but I can assure you the rest of us will not be defeated so easily."

Ultear couldn't help but let out a laugh in surprise. "Your one of the Element Four? Lucky you. You're just the woman I was looking for!" She let out a smirk as she got into a battle stance. "I hope you don't mind answering a few quick questions for me."

Erza was entirely and totally lost. She had no idea where she was going when she first entered the Phantom Lords Headquarter, but she was at least keeping track of where she had already been. However, after the entire building shifted into its new form, everything had been tilted and moved to the point that she was beginning to believe she was going in circles.

'Wait! I don't think I've seen these double doors yet. Is this where Wendy is?'

Running over to the doors, she pushed them open and walked into a large hall. It appeared that it was used for big gatherings but appeared to be empty currently. As she walked into the room, she inspected it for any exits. Noticing a door at the other end, she continued walking across the hall.

"Well, guess there's nothing to do but keep walking-"

Erza was rolling before she had realized she had even done it. As she finished her roll and stood at the ready, she looked back to where she had just been to see the form of Aria shift into existence.

"How sad, you dodged my opening attack. Your reaction time must be inhuman." Aria said as tears poured out of his blindfold.

Erza summoned two specific blades from her Requip space while she tried to focus on her opponent. Before she could say anything to Aria, he put up a hand and-

Erza's body was moving on instinct again. In a flurry of strikes, her swords struck out at seemingly thin air. The air vibrated as purple bubbles appeared and dissipated harmlessly. She looked at her own swords in surprise.

'What is this? How am I countering these attacks? What kind of sense am I using to do that?'

"How are you able to detect and dissipate my Zetsu?" Aria exclaimed, in just as much confusion.

"That would be these fancy swords. They allow me to detect and cut wind magic." Erza said, half bluffing. She did get them in case she fought another wind mage like Eligor again due to their ability to cut throw the very wind. It obviously didn't allow her to detect anything, but he didn't need to know that.

"You are a very dangerous opponent. The master was right about you!" Aria shouted as he disappeared, using his magic turn invisible and speed off to the other end of the room. But Erza somehow followed his path with her eyes and was running towards his destination before he could become visible. "Ahh?! Zetsu!"

As Erza ran forward, she could feel something being formed in front of her. Understanding what that feeling now meant, she swung out at the spaces in front of her without having to rely on instinct. Aria formed a new Zetsu with each step she took, and each time she swung with one of the Air Cutter's in her hands. She was approaching Aria with alarming speed if the look on his face was any indication.

Right as she was within striking range though, the ground beneath her seemed to erupt, throwing chunks of the floor up at her.

"What?!"

Erza's guard was completely open, leaving her to be hit by the sudden barrage of rocks. During the distraction, Aria formed another Zetsu, which burst and launched her back across the hall.

"Oh, ho! It appears you need assistance, Monsieur Aria." A voice exclaimed from the ground beneath him. A lanky man in a brown suit and garish green hair formed out of the earth. Turning his eyes to Erza, he let out a cruel laugh. "Greetings, Mademoiselle. My name is Sol of the Element Four. Apologies for the rude interruption, but I'm afraid if you want to pass, you must beat the both of us at once!"

Erza grit her teeth, getting back into position to fight. "I don't care how many of you come at me at once. Until I find Wendy, I'll beat you all down!"

Back at the Fairy Tail guild hall, the Shades continued to spawn and attack without rest. The mages of Fairy Tail were fighting as best they could, but they unfortunately had bodies that tired, unlike their spectral opponents.

Cana threw a Light card at an approaching shade, watching it dissipate in a flash of holy light. She reached down and pulled out her remaining cards. "Ah hell, I think that was my last light-based card."

"Hey Cana, look out!" Gray called out suddenly from nearby.

Cana looked up to find that the shade she had just defeated had already reformed and was swinging a clawed hand right at her head. She cursed, moving to step back but tripping on her own feet. She threw her hands to the sides to catch herself, and her remaining cards flew across the ground and out of her reach. With no way to defend herself, she closed her eyes and waited for the end.

"Graaaah?!"

She heard the ghostly being wail in pain, and she opened her eyes to see the shade impaled, a spear stuck through its chest. The spearhead glowed a brilliant golden yellow. Looking at the wielder of said spear, she saw the person was completely concealed, wearing armor and a cloak that completely covered their identity. With a slash of their spear, it cut through the shade, which simply vanished in a flash of light instead of dissipating to be reformed.

'It completely negated the magic?' she realized in amazement as she looked at the glowing spearhead. The spear then began to glow, and the spearhead changed form, but before she could see the new form its user swung it up and a wrap concealed the weapon from view. The mysterious knight reached a hand down for Cana.

"Where's Wendy?" A feminine voice asked under the plated helmet.

"W-What?!" Cana nearly tripped again as she was being dragged to her feat. She squinted in suspicion. "Why do you want to know?"

"Mystogan sent me. Where is Wendy." The woman insisted.

Cana gave her a once over. "Yeah, you definitely look the part. If this is about healing the master, we're trying, but those Phantom Lord bastards kidnapped her. She's probably inside that stupid thing." she explained, pointing to the building sized robot menacingly drawing a magic circle in the air.

"… I see. Thanks for the help." The knight said before running towards the cliffside and the Phantom Lord robot-building. Without missing a beat, she jumped off the cliff. The cloak on her back burned away to reveal a magically powered jetpack, which shot out a stream of energy launching her towards Wendy's location.

Cana just stared as her mysterious savior flew off into the distance. Eventually she reached down and picked her Magic Cards back up. "Well, Mystogan sure knows how to pick them. I'm sure the others could use a hand anyways. Though I'm sure Erza would be too proud to admit it to anyone but herself."
