Chapter 3: Grigori
It was time to leave and get back to the Grigori right now. He did not give it to chance that more forces of the church will come after him now that an angel had outed him, no matter what her moral compass was. Issei was still a fallen angel near the heart of their territory, and that will not be accepted lightly. While the sudden departure was fine with Issei, it was the fact that he had to force Asia to hurry as well. She finally seemed so at peace within a soft bed after who knows how long she has been on the streets. And it worried Issei what Asia will feel living within the Grigori with the fallen angels that the church has indoctrinated Asia to perceive as wicked beings.
Issei shook his head to rid away from the uncomfortable thoughts. They'll cross that bridge when they get there, and Issei will make sure Asia does so safely. After last night's events, their current location was anything but safe for Asia Argento. It was for both of their sakes that they had to leave.
"You ready?" Issei asked.
Glancing behind him, Issei saw Asia following close behind dragging her luggage. Just one night of good sleep, drink, and food makes a stark change in the blonde's appearance. Gone were the bags under her eyes, her skin was a healthy complexion from the lack of grime, and there was more life in her step. Complete with a bright smile on her face, it made Issei's heart lighten and his own lips tug upward.
"Yes, Issei." Asia chirped with a nod. "But, how are we going to leave?"
Instead of answering, Issei walked up to Asia till he stood beside her. He snaked his left arms around Asia and pulled her closer to his body by her waist, making the blonde blush bright red. Issei also made sure to loop his arm around the handle of Asia's suitcase. Curious green eyes looked up to Issei who met the questioning stare.
"Do you trust me, Asia?" Issei asked.
"Of course I do." Asia said resolutely, thought a bit more cutesy with the bright blush on her cheeks.
"Then brace yourself." Issei warned, releasing his full array of eight raven wings. "And I promise to never let you go."
"What are youuuuuAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
Asia's question ended in a scream when Issei suddenly took the skies. In the blink of an eye, Asia was no longer seeing the meadow of green hills of the countryside, but both land and air rushed past her peripheral vision in blurry imagery. She forced her eyes shut when the sting of the wind was too much. Her luggage would have been lost to the wind if it weren't for Issei's telekinetic hold on her belongings which was also used to keep Asia firmly in his grasp without hurting her. The former nun did not know how much time had passed until the winds died down, but she still did not dare to open her eyes.
"It's okay." Spoke the voice of her guardian angel. "You can open your eyes and see the world before you."
His voice was the only reason that Asia dared to open her eyes to behold the sight that took her breath away. It was the scene she never imagined in Asia's wildest dreams. Her green eyes took witness not the green pastures of the countryside or the rooftops of a city but the top of the clouds rushing past below her while the light of the heavenly blue sky cascaded down upon her. Asia felt like she was a part of the heavens with this amazing view of the sky complete with the dimly lit sun behind the curtain of altocumulus and altostratus clouds above them.
"Wow." Asia could only respond in amazement.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Issei agreed, lazily gliding by the stratosphere's currents. "We are about two thousand meters above the ground. Only planes could get this high, but I bet to think you've set foot outside of Italy. No one else besides myself can see the world like this."
"I..." Gasped Asia, still soaking in the beauty of the world. "I never thought the world could be this... big. With the sky a-and the clouds. It's so pretty! Is this what it's always like for you, Issei?"
"It's definitely a privilege." Issei said. "If I wanted to find some peace, I would just fly high into the sky till I can see the top of the clouds. Just seeing all this makes all my worries go away. Don't you feel the same way?"
"Yeah, I understand." Asia agreed, turning her head so their eyes met to give Issei a bright smile. "Thank you, Issei."
Combined with the heartfelt thanks and the adorable smile plastered on Asia's face was a bit much for Issei's composure. The pattern of his wing beats faltered for a single second and his cheeks colored in a bright blush. He had never had this sort of trouble with a member of the opposite sex. Growing up in the Grigori, Issei had met voluptuous beauties on more than one occasion, including his own teacher/guardian Penemue and the many fallen angel women in service (especially that one low grunt that was infatuated with Azazel to an alarming degree). Azazel's antics made Issei's early life quite eccentric. He could still feel phantom pains of the pinches on his cheeks. But at least he didn't get it as bad as Sephiroth in the first few years in the Grigori. That fan club was still going strong, and he still could not tell how they figured out Sephiroth used a full bottle of shampoo for his hair.
Yet this girl managed to do what fallen angels who surpassed the nun in 'assets' could not. He always had his composure, but it was proven fruitless in front of Asia.
'What is happening to me?' Thought Issei in bewilderment.
[It is because she is a naturally born dragon tamer.] The voice not his own boomed in his head.
Issei winced from the sudden intrude from him. It was the entity that existed in the power blessed upon at birth. His Sacred Gear became the only reason that made Sephiroth let Issei live. Mismatched eyes of hazel brown and green trailed to his own palms before setting themselves back forward. Sephiroth made it clear he only saved Issei because of the power that interested him, and he was not disappointed when discovering it was the Longinus-class Sacred Gear, the Boosted Gear.
"Nice to see you're off your ass, lazy lizard." Issei replied with sass. "How you can still have naps I will never know, Ddraig?"
[You spend a millennium and a half in here, see how you like it.] Ddraig bit back.
Issei sighed internally. "Whatever. What is it about Asia being a dragon tamer? What is a dragon tamer even? I feel like that is something I should have known because of you anything draconic affects me."
[Being a little more cheeky than usual.] Noted Ddraig with a snort. [A dragon tamer is more than the name implies. Thie girl here has a very high affinity to dragons. Enough so that some may mistake her as a young hatchling rather than a human. It's why you feel so at ease around her.]
Half of Issei wanted to scoff at that. He, Issei Hyoudou, being affected by some arbitrary affinity? He had more pride in his abilities to believe something like that could have a hold of him. The only reason that Issei was being warm to Asia was that she deserved it. Especially when she was unjustly kicked out by what she knew as home for all her life.
[She is also quite adorable, wouldn't you agree?] Ddraig added, and Issei could feel the smirk from the old dragon.
Issei glanced down to Asia quickly studying the features of her long blonde hair, bright green eyes filled with wonder, and a face etched with awe gazing at the sky. The fallen angel made a complicated sound in his throat as he was forced to give one to Ddraig. She was definitely cute, no doubt about it. It only added to the former nun's looks being in the sky with rays of light fully shining down on her face and hair to make her seemingly brighten like he was carrying an angel in his arms.
'Issei get a hold of yourself!' The fallen screeched internally seeing the direction his thoughts were going.
He totally wasn't getting distracted by her light green eyes. No, he was just making sure the sun wasn't bothering Asia. But what was actually distracting him was Ddraig laughing in his head, and he couldn't exactly tune him out. Thankfully, Issei knew his flight path had reached a distance to where he can get to the last threshold of their journey.
"Brace yourself, Asia." Issei warned.
As soon as he spoke those words, Issei felt Asia's arms tighten around him despite his telekinesis making sure she would not escape his grasp. On the metaphysical level, Issei unleashed his magic into a specific spell resulting in a flash of light appearing ahead of them. Gold and white light took the form of a revolving circle decorated with script lost to time to most folk but were ingrained in Issei's knowledge of the magical arts. This magic circle was the direct transportation to Grigori in the Underworld. It was not a sort of magic to use casually as the pressure of energy to link two different dimensions would undeniably attract attention, which was why Issei flew as far away from Italy as much as possible.
He settled his right hand to cover Asia's eyes as the light of the magic circle intensified to a blinding degree. Issei's speed accelerated to the point the wind made a visible cone around him and the air screeched in his wake as he went at Mach speeds. At the moment of contact, there was a great bang of a thousand blasting cannons with the magic circle shattering into motes of light a moment later. Asia nor Issei was anywhere to be seen now in a far different realm.
(Grigori)
In an open plain, the same magic circle Issei summoned opened within the Underworld. With a great bang and bright flash, Issei and Asia appeared soaring at blitzing speeds through the new world. While midair, Issei positioned his body vertical to the ground and fanned out his eight wings to their full span to catch the wind. He managed to slow himself down enough to softly land on the ground.
"We're here." Issei announced as he gently settled Asia on her feet.
Asia eyes glittered with confusion. She first took note of the oddly purple sky hanging over them and the oddly tall mountains that flanked them. Other than that, there was nothing else in this flat badlands that Issei had taken her. It was so silent; not even a whistle in the wind.
"Uhm, Issei, why did you bring me here?" Asia said. "There's nothing around."
Her response was an amused snort. "That's what the new guys say when first coming to the Grigori. Trust me, this will blow your mind."
He stepped forward in front of Asia and stuck his hand out in a seemingly random spot. Her confusion grew further when Issei's hand made a gripping motion as if he was holding onto an invisible door. Then to her utter astonishment, golden motes of light came to life around Issei's hand, and in a flash appeared an actual door. It had an ornate look of dark oak with etchings of thorn-covered vines creeping up the sides where an array of twelve raven wings were unfolded to their full glory. As Issei turned the knob and opened the door, Asia found not the other side to the barren wasteland but the entrance into a hallway lit up by lamps hanging on a porcelain white ceiling. Asia had a hard time trying to comprehend the sheer reality-breaking scene in front of her and checked the other side of the door multiple times.
"H-How is this possible?" Asia gasped in awe.
"In laymen's terms, magic." Issei said with a smirk.
"Who is 'Laymen'?" Asia wondered innocently.
"...You really are sheltered, aren't you?" Issei deadpanned.
Asia could only tilt her head down in embarrassment as her face flushed a vividly red color. It served in keeping a mirthful smirk on Issei's face. He held out his right hand which Asia took almost possessively and led her inside the walls of the Grigori. Once she set her final foot on the other side, the door automatically slammed shut and faded away on both ends. They were left in the middle of a hall instead of the entrance as Asia had thought.
'Magic is so strange.' Asia wondered.
"Please stay close to me." Issei said with an air of warning.
The former nun didn't need to be told twice and then pressed herself closer to his left to make herself as small as possible in this new place. If Issei was bothered by the sudden close contact, he didn't make any objections to it but he did make a skip in his step. He quickly wore it off and in fact stretched all the wings on his left side to hug Asia. She giggled at the many raven feathers tickling her cheeks and unconsciously snuggled in the wings' embrace.
"So soft." Asia cooed softly.
Try as he might, Issei was sporting a noticeable pink blush on his cheeks from Asia's compliments. Regaining some of his composure, Issei made his way through the halls of Grigori - the same halls he has grown up in. As such Issei did not make the long stares at the fantastical surroundings that Asia was doing from behind his wings. She saw the many interchanging sights from archways into chambers standing over three stories with the air lit up in a chaotic array of magical circles; a chamber of members making magical experiments. To dimly lit rooms where people hidden behind goggles worked over sparking machinery and terminals in a mishmash of both science and technology.
Yet the most notable were of course the many, many people walking past her peripheral vision. So many that Asia was almost blinded by the crowd. She took note of how they wore similarly to Issei with their black clothing with some significant differences such as coats, shirts, etc. More often than not these people would have their own raven wings out to show themselves as fallen angels, yet Asia only saw one of them ever have an array of eight like Issei. They also tended to not stare long at the duo, and those that did towards Asia were met by a stern glare from Issei the next second. There were also people who were not actually fallen angels such as a group of humans in robes, who were conversing with fallen angels, that Issei identified as magicians.
At one point, Asia and Issei came upon what can only be described as a massive complex. The walls themselves rose as high as the sky looming over a plaza that might have been as big as the Vatican. Golden light mimicking sunlight shined down from the false sky above, and to Asia's amazement, she saw fallen angels and even some humans fly up and down the walled skies between the many floors above. In the very center was a massive pillar easily sixty meters wide that had bridges extended out to each floor for anyone to walk to the needed floors for their own convenience without flight.
"What is this place?" Gasped Asia, unwilling to keep her wonder quietly.
"This is the true form of the Grigori." Issei explained. "The angels of heaven have their church; the devils have their noble pillars and Satans. So what are we, fallen angels, left with? In the beginning, both heaven and hell would not have us. And so we had to build our own little world. After centuries of sacrifice and perseverance, you now have the Grigori, home to fallen angels and the most advanced faction out of the entire Biblical pantheon, possibly the world itself. Devils and angels can keep their old world, but we will strive for the future. As the world evolves, so shall we."
"Evolves?" Asia asked.
"We are not just a magical society." Issei elaborated. "The Grigori makes sure to keep with humanity's advancement, even integrating it to our own. It's in this place where science and magic mesh together. Where humanity has already made advancements in space travel to our moon, the Grigori has technology that can take us to the stars above if we wanted to."
"To the stars..." Asia said in awe, already reeling from her experience flying amongst the clouds. It was unbelievable she could possibly go as high as the stars in the night sky one day.
Issei chuckled. "But enough about that. There is someone who wants to meet you."
Asia blinked in curiosity who wanted to meet her, and who it was is also possibly responsible for sending Issei to rescue her. Led by Issei, they went towards the grand pillar with the crowd giving a berth for them noticing the dull silver hair that reminded them all of him. Now right before the pillar, Asia finally noticed that it was not made out of brick or whatever building material she had ever seen. It was so alien in the appearance of a sleek dull yellow without any imperfections on its perfectly smooth exterior. The closest Asia could describe it was like a liquid metal akin to an undisturbed pond of metal. Going throughout pillar was a whole complex of green, white, gold, and blue lines ascending the entire structure in a circuit pattern.
Issei laid an open palm on its surface and the area of the pillar on contact lit up in golden light. Right in front of Issei flashed a screen of hard light with a complimenting keyboard on the bottom in the same hard light. Above the projected screen were three halos layered together to where a pulsing sphere of digital light rested within them.
"Welcome back, Issei Sephiroth." Spoke a computerized voice of a woman (most probably a secretary Azazel took fancy to when creating this system). "Was your mission a success?"
Asia missed the way air changed around Issei hearing the surname of that man. The leather of his gloves strained from his clenching fists. It took a few seconds for Issei to flush away the negativity and focus on the task at hand.
"Yes." Issei answered curtly. "She is standing with me unharmed and is under my protection until further orders. Can you send a message to Azazel to meet him at his office?"
"No need." The magical AI replied. "Governor Azazel is waiting for you in his quarters."
On cue, the floor lit up till a golden ring formed around the pair. Florescent soft light lifted up around them, contrasting the air around them in a lighter tone in contrast to everywhere else. Asia jumped at the sudden light and Issei felt her hands tighten their hold on his body for safety.
"Don't worry." Issei comforted. "Just a little mechanism if any person in the Grigori need to get anywhere quickly. I am fast, but my top speed would be a problem in such a crowd. Stay close to me. You'll only feel a slight discomfort."
White light intensified around them and Asia could only let out a high-pitched squeak before her vision was blinded away. From everyone's perspective, they only gave notice to the duo suddenly disappearing a white blip zipping up the circuit pattern of the pillar at lightspeed. Somewhere else deep within the Grigori this blip of light arrived before a set of iron-clad oak doors. The air cracked harshly as Issei and Asia came back to reality with the latter stumbling after having her balance disturbed. Issei was there to hold her back from falling just in case.
"Sorry about that." Issei apologized as he helped Asia sit straight and made sure she had all of her belongings.
"I-It's fine, really." Asia stutters, blushing a storm at the close contact with her own guardian angel. "So, behind this door is the one known as Azazel, right?"
"Yes." Issei answered.
"The same angel brother to holy Michael yet fell from Heaven?" Asia continued. "I heard... things from people at the church about him. About what he... does to women like me. That he is just as much of a traitor as Lucifer. Is... Is any of it true?"
A look of pity crossed Issei's features and without much thought, he reached out his hand to pat Asia's hand. Her worried face morphed into a cute pout at her hair being ruffled while internally pleased from the sensation of having her head rubbed.
"Don't believe everything you hear at face value." Issei consoled. "Sometimes, it takes seeing the real thing to truly understand it. What you hear was only the gibberish of centuries of hate from crimes too far gone or even questionably real. All I can say about Azazel is that he is definitely quite the character, but not someone you should be afraid of. Trust me, he's practically harmless... at least when he is not head-deep in one of his experiments or a woman's skirt."
A shiver ran through his body when Issei was painfully reminded of the many times he walked in on Azazel in one of his escapades. Not a good sight for a growing boy and his fearful screams would draw either Shemhazai or, to Azazel's misfortune, Penumue to literally beat sense into the old crow. It really was a trying experience entering puberty, especially with Shemhazai giving him the 'talk'.
"Just a word of caution." Issei warned. "If you see a man's head up into a woman's skirt, scream as loud as you can. He'll deserve it."
"Huh?" Asia responded, confused.
Taking a deep breath to prepare himself for the worst, Issei put both hands on the oak doors and pushed causing a deep thrum through the hall. What greeted them on the other side was an ornate office more lavish than any similar establishment in the world. The white tiled floor turned into a dark wood floor stretching out as wide as twenty meters, making room for velvet softas to flank the entrance each complimented with a round table topped with a lamp. Lining the grand walls were two-story bookshelves containing not only perfectly preserved text but also scrolls and the occasional artifact kept in a sealed glass case. An emerald green carpet in golden embroidery stretched out from the entrance to the other side in the distance of forty meters were at the very end was a very long mahogany table. There Asia froze at the figure hunched over the inexpensive desk knowing without a doubt who it was.
Azazel, General Governor of the Grigori, sat before them appeared as a man in his late twenties with a shaggy head of black hair with tufts of blonde. He sported a spiky beard having the same strange bangs of black and blonde hair that gave him an exotic look combined with his purple eyes and pronounced cheekbones. The fallen angel did not have any of his wings out for display, but the way documents and other such texts floated around him suggested he was of course a supernatural creature with his open display of magic. Finishing off was his choice of clothing a purple suit over a black shirt that left a peek at his sculpted pectorals to catch the fancy of any lady.
"...carry the two... Emmanuel's kid is due, so give him time off..." Muttered Azazel under his breath, for once engrossed in the paperwork that literally floated around him at his mental command.
Issei considered himself lucky to find Azazel to be working and not into one of his escapades with a woman that got into his pants. Literally, may he forbode. Holding down the shiver of suppressed memories, Issei stepped up first and cleared his throat. It worked in getting Azazel's attention when the Cadre directed his purple eyes to meet with Issei's gaze.
Issei began to relay his mission detail. "Lord Governor, I am here to report at a success-"
Asia did not know how to describe it except that Azazel moved. Before her eyes, at one moment he was there sitting in his lush red chair on the other side of the desk, and the next the nun found the ancient angel having glomped Issei in a bear hug. Even Issei was caught off guard, having been forced to cut his sentence off when he felt Azazel embrace him.
"Issei, my boy, welcome home!" Cheered Azazel merrily, now deciding to hold Issei at arm's length. "So the trip to Italy went well, I hope?"
"Yes, it did." Issei said, a bit uneasy.
"I bet you found a cute girl to hang around and keep you company in those cold nights." Azazel said with his signature perverted leer. "Why I bet the moment you landed in a city, all the girls were practically flocking to your good looks."
Issei could only make a groan behind his teeth and his visible amber eye twitched. With a frustrated sigh, Issei pushed Azazel back. If the Cadre was annoyed by the gesture, he didn't show it and still kept his mirthful smile.
"Can you please not do this, Azazel?" Issei almost pleaded.
"I suppose so, especially since we have such a charming lady in our presence." Azazel said, and before Asia knew it she had one of her hands gently held by the fallen angel who was giving her a warm smile. "Hello there, Asia Argento. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"Y-You as well." Stuttered Asia, clearly overwhelmed.
It was taking all of her will to actually respond to Azazel instead of going into a babbling mess of words. After all, it was the fallen Seraph Azazel that was right in front of her. Years of church teachings instilled in Asia told her to run and hide, but recent events tempered those feelings so she can only root still. Her only saving grace was Issei standing beside, and looking at him now she could tell without a doubt that he would come to her rescue if anything were to threaten her.
"Don't be so shy, Asia." Azazel consoled, giving an understanding smile. "I understand the church's teachings would not paint me in a good light. And right now you probably have a lot of questions for me. So please, take a seat. I am all ears for whatever you want to say."
With a gesture of his hands, two chairs from the sidelines slid up from an invisible grip till they were behind Issei and Asia. The latter was hesitant to sit down and was only assured once Issei took his seat first. Internally, Asia found the seat to be very comfortable, but now she was racked with questions towards Azazel going through her head.
"Why...Why did you bring me here?" Asia said after finally finding her voice. "Why come to save me at all? Is... Is it because of my blessing from God?"
As she spoke, Asia held out her hands. From a pull of her will, she brought the inborne power within her that took the form of two silver rings on the ring finger of her ring finger. While the metalworking looked extraordinary at human means, there was an unearthly presence about it with the soft green glow that surrounded it. Immediately, Azazel's eyes perked up in glee recognizing it as the Sacred Gear Twilight Healing and the power responsible for Asia's status as the 'Holy Maiden'.
"At least you have the sense to doubt my 'pure' intentions." Azazel said, almost looking amused. "I would be a little disappointed if you didn't have questions like that. And I will not lie, Asia Argento; you possessing Twilight Healing plays a part in why I sent Issei here to retrieve you from church territory. It certainly would make interesting research material. However, that ain't the case. You see the real reason that I brought you to the Grigori, under my protection, was by the request of my own brother, Archangel Michael."
Silence reigned in the grand study, and even Issei was clearly stunned by this news. Asia's eyes widened into a dead stare on Azazel, finding some sort of deceitful facade. After all, she was told that Michael was the reason the Grigori came for her. That it was the famed Archangel that asked a fallen Seraph to save her.
"Wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-" That was the only response Asia can make, her shock making her unable to make the proper words.
Azazel couldn't help but chuckle, leaning back on his desk. "Bizarre, isn't it? It usually goes with Dad's goodie-two-shoes trying to smite my traitorous ass. You know, 'kill the traitor, yadda, yadda, yadda. But to put a long story short, a Great War and few centuries go a long way in mellowing our grievances out."
"Didn't you once say that he put a spear in your heart?" Issei interjected.
"Hah, almost got my heart too, but I socked his pretty face after that." Azazel chortled. "But that's all in the past. I can safely say that both of us are working for the same goal despite being on opposite sides. Case in short, that involved a lot of favors, and Michael cashed on one for Asia's safe recruitment in the Grigori."
"But why me?" Asia couldn't help but ask. "I'm-I'm no one special."
She did not notice it, but Azazel saw how Issei tensed at Asia's underappreciation of herself. To Issei, in the short time he knew her, she was more than special.
"Well, that's the wrong answer because Michael seems to think otherwise." Azazel countered. "Michael was against your banishment from the Catholic church, possibly some... unlikable parts of the Vatican that made a move to get rid of you. I bet he's doing his best to track the ones that did this to you since whoever was responsible is no ally to him whatsoever. But his first priority was you, which meant contacting another faction for asylum. I was obviously the best choice because I am that awesome. He also has a missive for you."
Asia perked up. "A mission from L-Lord Michael? W-What is it?"
"Live, Asia Argento." Azazel said in a fatherly tone. "Live to the best you can be, fulfilling your heart's purest desires. And he hopes that you can one day forgive him for not aiding you sooner. His words, not mine."
"So there's no need for forgiveness." Asia said with an honest smile directed to Issei. "If I wasn't banished from the church, then I wouldn't have met my guardian angel Issei. I'd never trade him away."
Issei was so flabbergasted by Asia's downright affectionate words all he could do was sputter while his face erupted in a bright blush. Meanwhile, Azazel was trying his hardest to not outright laugh, only managing to keep his snickers behind his lips.
"Then all I can say is welcome to the Grigori, Asia Argento." Azazel welcomed, summoning a key attached to a golden medallion that was then presented to the former nun. "For our more religious folk like yourself, we host Sunday prayers which I hope you come to enjoy without the unnecessary discrimination. I'll also look into seeing if you can apply for our Jaman Medical Institute. It wouldn't do to not let your talents go to waste, maybe even sign you up for medicine courses. I've always wanted to see the headway a user of Twilight Healing can go as a dedicated doctor. And Issei, I have a new assignment for you - one that has indefinite time to it and one you will definitely enjoy."
Issei stood ready like any disciplined soldier. "Ready for duty, Azazel."
He instantly regretted replying seeing Azazel's devilish smile. "For the foreseeable future, you are going to make sure Asia Argento is kept safe and learns her way around the Grigori. After all, she will be your new roommate."
"E-Eh?" Responded Issei, making a great impression of Asia. "W-What? I mean, shouldn't she have her own place?"
[Frankly, I think this is a fantastic idea.] Ddraig said, making his debut as the back of Issei's left palm glowed green. [After all, Issei here is pretty smitten with the nun here.]
"DDRAIIIG!?" Excalimed Issei.
Poor Asia could only blush red from both embarrassment and confusion, and Azazel collapsed onto his desk laughing his ass off.
Finally done. Like holy shit did it take this long. And I do have the 'perfect' excuse. Genshin Impact is an addiction with its story, I love it. So playing a lot of that. More than that, I wasn't exactly feeling well when I got the Booster shot for COVID. I didn't really react well and was really dizzy, followed by a nasty head cold. After this, I am working on Shining Light then Roses of the Death Goddess.
Up next is Chapter 4.
