The Greyhound Part 3: War of the Mind

Chapter 27

"Fire Dragon's -"

"Iron Dragon's -"

"ROAR!"

Steel met fire as the breath attacks collided, demolishing everything in their paths but ultimately unable to overcome each other.

"Heh, so you're the Salamander?" Gajeel chuckled as his feet ground to a stop. "Not bad, not bad at all."

Natsu just stayed focused. He remembered why they were here. "You'll regret what you did to Levy."

The black-haired mage took a second to think "Levy? Oh, you mean that half-pint I nailed to a tree, Hahaha! What, you want me to apologize to her?"

The area exploded in fire.

"... Don't bother. You won't be able to talk once I'm done with you."

"Heh, big talk for such a little guy. Let's see if you can back it up." He wasn't scared. Sure this pink-haired wannabe dragon slayer packed a punch, but Gajeel hadn't even felt the need to activate his scales yet.

"Fire Dragon's-

"Gihihih-? wait a second what the hell!?"

He could feel it, the magic circling around Natsu was at least double what the last attack used. That set alarm bells off and made him realize that taking this punk seriously was what he was gonna have to do.

But he never got the chance.

"Roa-"

"METSU!"

A massive wave of magic made everyone freeze, and the sight of something falling through the rafters caught everyone's attention.

The object smashed into the stone floor kicking up dust and debris. But once it settled the horrible sight of Makarov Dreyar's broken body became clear.

"Master!" Erza screamed as she rushed to his side. He was in bad shape. Covered in wounds and bleeding from the long fall, it was easy to tell his back was contorted, twisting in the wrong direction. And to make matters worse she also couldn't sense any magic coming from him. And despite how bad he looked physically his lack of magic was more concerning to her.

"What do I do, what do I do!?"

She yelled over and over again in her head.

"Hey, their master is down!"

"Let's get 'em!"

"Ya, they can't hope to beat us without that monster!"

This only made things worse, Phantom was poised to counter-attack and they didn't have their leader.

In the end she made a call.

"Fairy Tail! Retreat!"

"What!?"

"Are you crazy?"

"No chance!"

Those were only a few of the dissenting cries she heard, but she couldn't have disobedience right now.

"That's an order! Natsu Gray, we are leaving NOW!"

The two looked at her in disbelief but ultimately listened. And with the two of them covering their exit, Fiore's strongest guild ran away in total defeat.

"Hahaha, it looks like your plan to 'fell the giant' went off without a hitch Master Jose!" Gajeel laughed.

"Indeed it did." the Phantom king responded, without emotion.

Confused by the lack of excitement in his superior's reaction, the dragon slayer asked another question. "How did things go on Juvia's side? She get her hands on that Heartfilia chick?"

"... No, she and Sol failed. They claim they were making their escape when a hooded man with a sword jumped out of the shadows, took the girl back, and nearly killed both of them."

"Black jacket with a hood and Grey undershirt, wearing a holster on his right hip?" the iron mage asked.

"Yes."

"Sounds like the same freak I ran into last night."

"... So it would seem."

"Huh. I'm not gonna say I told you so, but please tell me you have a plan in mind to deal with him." Gajeel asked.

"The Jupiter Cannon."

The iron mage's eyes doubled in size "Isn't that a bit overkill sir?"

"Hardly. I was planning to use it anyway."

"And the Heartfilia girl?" he asked for clarification.

"You will be in charge of retrieving her before I fire and wipe Magnolia off the face of Earthland."

"Heh, as you wish sir." The dragon just chuckled to himself. If the Jupiter Cannon was their game plan he didn't really need to worry about anything else. It doesn't matter how strong, or quick-witted someone is.

In the face of absolute power like that, even a crazy bastard like the man he'd met didn't stand a chance.

Kinzo was sitting at the bar taking in the relative silence of the broken guildhall. He'd poured himself a glass of water since obviously, Mira wanted nothing to do with him, and that was all he'd done. Just taken some time to recoup.

He could hear the conversation Levy and Lucy were having behind the closed door, and while he'd heard his name mentioned a few times he decided to let them have their privacy and tuned it out.

All in all, it wasn't bad but he still would have preferred to be gathering intel and planning his next move against Hades. Even so, he chose to be still and enjoy the peace and quiet.

*Snap!*

The guild doors crashed open, and the entirety of Fairy Tail's mages stormed in with Erza at the head.

"MIRA WE NEED YOU!" the redhead roared.

Kinzo had twisted and hopped out of his seat, and the sound of Mira once again tumbling through the back door could be heard behind him.

Taking in the mages he realized very quickly that they had not come back as victors. Minor cuts and bruises littered almost everyone, and a few major wounds could be seen as well.

He immediately started looking for Gray and breathed a sigh of relief when he found him to be unharmed. Other than that he noticed the man he recognized as Elfman to be wrapped in bandages while being held up by Cana. He knew that was serious as soon as he saw it because the sight of blood staining through the wrapping was clearly still visible.

Even so, the crowning piece, the one example of damage that truly made him pause, came at the sight of Makarov's shriveled form. The old man was covered in what appeared to be his own blood, lacerations decorating his body and spine angled in the wrong direction. Honestly, it looked like he'd been dropped off a cliff. But that wasn't the disturbing part, no the thing that got him was what Talionis let him see.

The man had no magic.

Pushing through the crowd he came to a stop at his side. Natsu was holding the old man in his arms but once he'd arrived he ordered "Put him down."

The pinkett registered his words before nodding and setting his guild master on the ground.

He prepared to kneel down himself ready to take an accounting of his wounds and decide how best to help him, but someone else got in his way first.

"Don't touch him!" Came the scream of Erza from behind, as she harshly gripped his shoulder and started to pull back.

But he didn't have time to waste on her. Grabbing the invading arm with his left and the base of her pauldron with his right he twisted and launched her into another table. Splintering the wood and disorienting her in the process.

Mirajane was the next to charge into action, reaching out to stop him. "Hey what the hell is wrong wi-"

"BACK UP!" he barked, and she flinched away. They didn't have time for this.

"Natsu take off his coat and shirt, I need to see what kind of damage he's sustained."

The slayer acted without a second thought. Removing the outer two layers of clothing and revealing Makarov's chest.

Carefully taking account of the cuts around his neck that were no doubt caused by some kind of Wind Magic, he proceeded to gently roll the man over to observe his back. That was where the real problem was. The entire thing was purple. Internal bleeding had discolored the entire thing.

He would need to deal with that first… and the Fairy Tail mages were not gonna like his methods.

"Natsu, I need you to trust me here. Hold him down, I'm gonna drain some of the trapped blood in his back."

He had no idea what kind of damage his spine or muscles had taken, and even if he did he couldn't do anything about it with a massive bruise in the way so removing it was his best option. One of his dad's cellular regeneration potions would seal up the cut anyway.

He needed to act fast though, Erza was getting up.

The dragon slayer just nodded his head and put some effort into holding the old man still.

As fast as was humanly possible the metal mage forged a knife and sliced the top few layers of skin from Makarov's right shoulder, across his back, and ending at his left hip. In seconds a massive amount of blood poured from the opening he'd created, and in less than a minute the man's back was almost back to a semi-normal color.

The old man grunted and desperately tried to move away from the pain being inflicted on him, but with no magic at his disposal, Natsu had no trouble holding him still. Though the boy's facial expression showed he wanted nothing more than to release him and ease his 'Grandfather's pain'.

Hearing commotion to the right he glanced over only to see Erza trying to force her way to him with rage in her eyes, and Cana trying desperately to hold her back. But he couldn't worry about that right now. He'd just robbed Makarov of what likely constituted a quarter of his blood he needed to work fast before the man went into hemorrhagic shock.

Taking the knife he cut through the same line again only much deeper, to the point he was definitely severing muscle tissue and likely touching vertebrae. The broken Guild Master all but wailed as his body was cut into.

He could hear Erza struggling more adamantly, but from the looks of it, more people had jumped in to try and stop her.

Once he was satisfied with how deep he'd made the incision, he dropped the knife.

Quickly Re-Quipping a bottle of grey liquid into his hands. Ripping off the cap he pulled back on the man's severed skin and muscle tissue before pouring the subsistence directly into the wound.

He watched with satisfaction and relief as his father's potion took effect.

He could see the bones making up the elder's spine start to shift around on their own, and once in place, the muscles surrounding them started to knit themselves back together as well. Over the next two minutes he, Natsu, and the few others surrounding them watched in fascination as the Saint's wound sealed itself.

Bone, muscle, ligament, facia, even the skin had grown back over leaving only a thin scar. And as the process finished all could hear a sigh of relief coming from the small man, they watched in fascination as his rigid body started to relax.

At roughly the same time Erza finally overpowered her guildmates and stormed forward to try and kill him, Re-Quipping a sword and raising it high into the air.

"Erza stop!" The dragon slayer next to him roared. And the woman seemed to hesitate again.

"Would you just look!? Gramps is in a lot better shape now!" The Knight decided to steal a glance at her master before killing the man who was hurting him, but when she did, the difference in his condition was obvious.

His previously grotesque-looking bruises were gone and his body seemed... healed. Makarov was still missing all of his magic but at least now he looked like a healthy old man instead of a broken one.

Her mouth was gaping, and she lowered her weapon.

Good, Kinzo had already decided that if she tried to stab him with that thing again he was just gonna break her arm.

His attention was dragged away from her though and back to Natsu as he gently shook his shoulder.

"Hey that stuff you used can heal people right?" the Salamander asked.

"... Ya, that's what it's for." He didn't like where this was going.

"We have some other wounded here… could you take a look at them?"

Glancing over the sea of mages he noticed a number that were in bad condition. He thought about it for a moment and decided that it wouldn't be worth it to help them. But at the same time, Ur's words… or I guess the words his mind thinks Ur would have said… were ringing in his ears.

"What I want is for you to value people, just because they're people. Not because they have something to offer you."

"Ya. I'll see what I can do."

"Thanks, Kinzo." said a Fairy Tail mage he didn't recognize as they walked off. She had a long laceration going down the side of her arm, but thanks to him, the limb looked good as new now.

"Ya whatever," he mumbled back.

Man, he'd already gone through 4 bottles worth of potion… He only kept 6 on him at a time! They were expensive to make and required some extremely rare materials, so he never bothered making more than that. Besides, one bottle was enough to completely repair every part of the human body. So why would he ever bother carrying more than that around?

Honestly, Makarov had taken a whole container to heal, and thankfully no one else was that messed up but still. All he could do was groan internally at all the Jewel it would cost him to restock.

Speaking of Makarov, after they'd convinced Erza not to kill him, some guy named Nab came and took the old man away. Said he was headed for their local healer, some woman named Porlyusica. He had fixed the man's physical injuries but they thought she might be able to restore his missing magic. He would have to ask what actually happened to the geezer at some point.

Just thinking about the awful state he was in, and the amount of money he was losing by treating Fairy Tail's guild members, made him frown.

"Get that awful look off of your face." he heard someone say.

Looking up he saw Cana, with an amused expression.

She was holding up Elfman as she approached, and set him down on the adjacent table. "What's wrong, is the little introvert getting tired?" she mocked.

"Shut it Cana," he said trying to sound serious, but he couldn't stop a little amusement from reaching his voice.

"Heh. Fine, fine," she said with a hand wave. Before moving to walk past him. He didn't let her go.

Grabbing her right arm he pulled her back and raised her hand so it was in front of him. Looking at her palm and fingers showed them to be very red. Like something had scorched them for just a moment.

Putting a bit of pressure on her skin made the girl wince.

"These look like magic burns… self-inflicted ones. Cana what did you do?"

She looked away before answering, clearly embarrassed. "I may have gone a bit overboard with the Crash Magic," she admitted. "But, it was important!"

As the excuse left her mouth she stole a glance at his features, and he did not look happy.

"You idiot. Do you have any idea how dangerous Crash Magic is? Not just to the environment, but to the user as well. If you put too much power into an attack without the proper control you could have blown your whole hand off!"

She couldn't meet his eyes as he yelled. Of course, she knew that. She knew the risks, she'd done some studying to figure out how this magic worked and the complications that came with it, but Elfman's life was on the line. She wasn't thinking straight, but even if she had been calm and in her right mind; she would have done it again. The family came first.

"Sorry." she offered.

"…"

"Haaah, whatever just hold still." Taking the bottle and pouring a small amount into her hand, he gently pushed the liquid around until it covered all of her palm. Slowly the color of her skin returned to normal, and the pain lessened considerably.

"There, now get lost," he said, turning away.

She just smiled "Huh, I didn't even have to ask and you helped me. I think you're starting to warm up to me."

"I said, beat it." he shot back without even turning around. She smirked but listened, moving away.

Once she was gone he laid his eyes on the hulking man before him. Taking in the line of red showing through the bandages around his neck and chest.

"Elfman right?" he asked.

"Yup," he said back weakly.

Nodding the pseudo medic for the day stood up and started to remove the bandages. The white-haired man had to grit his teeth as he pulled them off though. The cloth had dried blood holding it to the wound in several areas and the only way to get it out was to tug, angering the already damaged skin.

"Well whoever wrapped you up was a bit sloppy, but they did a good job of stunting your blood loss."

"You can- erug! Thank Cana."

Removing the last of the dressing he took in the sight. A long gash down the left side of his neck tracing all the way to his sternum. It was quite deep too, just barely missing some vital areas around his throat.

"What happened?"

"Some poser who could turn his arm into a sword." was the reply.

"Long black hair, cocky attitude, and chose to have piercings instead of eyebrows?" Kinzo questioned.

"... Uh, ya?" that was oddly specific, and spot-on.

"How'd he get you?" Kinzo continued to question while opening the potion's vial.

"... He got in my head, got me angry, and I left myself wide open."

He knew there was more to it than that, but decided to pour some of the potion onto his slash wound before commenting.

The Beast mage, tensed as his nerves lit up, and it felt like fire was running across his skin. But soon the pain passed, and the fascinating sight of flesh stitching itself together appeared.

He figured now was as good a time to bring up his thoughts as any. He'd always been a blunt person anyway.

"You know if you let yourself use more than just your right arm things might have ended differently. Right?"

His patient's eyes enlarged before he collected himself and just looked away.

Haah, why was he doing this? It wasn't his responsibility to play therapist… but the guy just looked so pathetic right now.

"Look I already got a bare-bones summary of what happened to you. Something about losing control during one of your take-overs and hurting someone close to you right?"

The Strauss just looked at the floor. "Ya… that's right."

"Who was it?"

His head glanced up again. "What?"

"Who did you hurt?"

This was a gamble and very clearly none of his business, but he was curious how the man would react to being pressed.

"... Lisanna, my baby sister."

Lisanna? He hadn't heard that name yet. And considering the way he was talking, it was likely that Elfman didn't just hurt her. He probably...

"damn"

As the potion's effects ended Kinzo Kneeled down, and started running his hand along the scar it left behind. Checking for any breaks in the skin to make sure there wasn't any chance of infection or the wound reopening.

"Look I understand wanting to make sure you don't hurt anyone else. But don't pretend that running away is gonna solve your problems. Because that's all you're doing by limiting your magic… running away."

"You aren't helping the people around you by doing it either. You guys are in the middle of a war and here you are handicapping yourself because you're scared?"

...

"But you don't have to listen to a word I've said. Do what you want... You're good to go."

When he said that it was like the man snapped out of a daze. Eyes refocusing, and a hand checking his scare. They looked at each other for a moment longer but soon enough, without a word, Elfman walked away.

...

"I'll think about what you said."

It came out as a whisper but his strong ears let him hear it. The Take Over mage hadn't even turned around to say it. He just kept walking.

"I hope you do."

Finally, he'd dealt with everyone who needed it. There were still plenty of people with bumps and bruises but he wasn't wasting any more potion on things like that.

Regardless he took a stand by the bar, resting his back against the wall. Almost everyone else had either gone downstairs to recoup or was resting in the infirmary.

The only people still near him were Cana, Mira, Gray, and Scarlet.

Erza was seated at the opposite end of the bar, and Gray was resting at a nearby table just listening. But the first two were trying to call in backup. Cana attempting to locate Mystogan through fortune-telling, and Mira explaining the situation to Laxus over a lacrima communicator.

"Laxus we seriously need your help here! Master is hurt!"

"Hahaha! You mean the old man finally got laid out? Guess he should have taken my advice and retired."

"Laxus this isn't a joke! Phantom Lord could strike again at any time!"

"Like I care. If you weaklings can't even handle something like this, what good are you?"

"Laxus!" The prick just continued to chuckle.

"Hmm, tell you what. I'll come back and save the day, if… you do a little favor for me."

The suggestive tone made his intentions obvious, but the sound of the communicator shattering made her answer pretty clear too.

"He's so awful." she ground out. "Haah, Cana any luck?"

"Nothing, Mystogan's not showing up at all," she replied in frustration. "Seriously, where's our muscle when we need it?" At this point the only S-class mage they had on hand was Erza. And even the Scarlet Knight didn't look too sure of their current situation.

"Well either way let's take a moment to really think about the situation." Mira offered.

"To start, let's consider who our enemy is. What kind of Mages does Phantom have at its disposal?"

Erza wasted no time chiming in. "To start they have a large number of standard magic users. Nothing special just C-class and below, the issue is just how many there are. After that, they have that Iron Dragon Slayer, Black Steel Gajeel."

"And of course there is Jose Porla, the guild master himself," Gray added.

"Alright so let's think about this. The standard mages won't be that much of a problem as long as we delegate enough members to keep them in check." Mira offered.

"And Black Steel has already made a few of our members angry. I think Natsu, in particular, would love nothing more than to take a crack at him." Erza continued.

"But what about the guild master, isn't he a Wizard Saint?" Cana interjected.

Erza nodded her head. "Indeed he is… I'll fight him to the best of my abilities, but I can't guarantee a victory."

"Erza that's suicide!" The barmaid chastised.

"And yet we have no other options."

Cana hated to be 'that' person but someone needed to remind Erza of the obvious. "Look even if we did manage to win all of these fights by some miracle, there's still the issue of Phantom's Element 4."

Reality struck the redhead, they had yet to even meet Phantom Lord's S-class mages. "Uhhh, and we haven't even seen any of them yet!" It was true, the element 4 hadn't revealed themselves during Fairy Tail's raid. At least not to them.

But Mira had a thought. "No, wait. Kinzo!" The Ex-mage turned to the boy who'd remained silent from the start. "You had a run-in with two Phantom Lord mages when they tried to kidnap Lucy right?"

"Woah woah woah, Lucy was almost kidnapped!?" The fortune-teller asked.

"I'll explain later!" Mira shushed her, before pressing the boy to speak.

"Ya, had a scuffle with a Rain Woman who could turn her body into water, and a Frenchmen who could melt into the ground and walls. If their name is anything to go by they were probably the Water and Earth parts of your element band."

"And you bested them?" Erza asked.

"I'd hardly call that a real fight, I just spooked 'em a bit before taking off with the blonde. But if I had to put a rating on them… I'd say they're around what you guys consider to be A-class mages. They would have been easy enough to deal with."

For the first time in what felt like ages all three women and the ice mage breathed a much-needed sigh of relief.

"Well that's good at least." offered Mira. "If nothing else that means Kinzo can handle half of the element 4 on his own so we can factor that into our strategy. And if they're as easy to deal with as you claim that also means you'll be able to assist elsewhere too."

The other three nodded and noticeably relaxed.

Okay, that sounds nice and all but... these fairy tail mages were making assumptions again.

"Uh, sorry but, why are you including me in this little plan of yours?"

He'd never seen four people whip their heads around so quickly.

"What do you mean?" Erza asked. "You're a key part of achieving victory should Jose attack again."

He could only deadpan. "That's nice and all, but I'm not getting involved with your guild war. It's got nothing to do with me."

Cana just looked at him in shock. The other three were more active.

"Is that a joke!?" Scarlet roared at him.

"No."

The woman could only grit her teeth while burning a hole into him with her stare. Mira however wasn't content with yelling at him from a distance. Instead, she moved, coming to stand just in front of him. A fierce look in her eyes.

"You can't just sit out! Fairy Tail and all of its members could be at risk. You can't just abandon us now!"

"Heh haha, abandoning you? You're acting like we're somehow loyal to each other." and that was far from the case.

"Sorry for thinking you'd be willing to help us even when we don't see eye to eye on everything." Gray spat out from the side. Clearly bitter about his words.

Don't see eye to eye? Is that what he calls it when people accuse other people of brutalizing their guildmates? No, he'd dealt with their accusations long enough.

"Ya well, that's the thing about treating other people like shit. It comes back to bite you in the ass when you need their help." His gaze traveled back and forth between Erza, Gray, and the Platinum blonde in front of him.

Erza seemed to lose some of the anger in her glare, almost appearing thoughtful of his words. But when he glanced back down at Mira he could see the girl was angry and very close to crying.

Biting her bottom lip seemed to be the only thing stopping tears from pouring down her face.

"Don't look at me like that Strauss, I've already done more for you than you had any right to ask. I saved your guild master's life, patched up your friends, and even sped up your own brother's recovery time by weeks. I'd say I've done more than enough already."

And there it was, the tears. He didn't like to see it, but it wouldn't sway him.

Thankfully he didn't have to focus on the balling woman for long. Gray was standing now.

He moved closer and closer, all the while he was looking at his surrogate 'brother' with distaste. "The fact that you can just turn your back on people who need you astounds me."

"Says the boy who didn't want me around just a few hours ago. You treat me like a monster, and then expect me to fight for you?"

Gray just growled at him "Ur made a mistake taking in someone like you."

That stung, but he'd already gotten used to hearing far worse in his dreams. "Telling me things I already know now Gray? Either way, it won't make me help you."

The Raven-haired boy was quick to grab his collar and ready to swing on him in his frustration. But ultimately stopped when he heard the sound of a bar stool hitting the ground.

The redhead was out of her seat, Erza was on the move, and she was moving fast.

"Oh great, what, is she gonna try to force me to help them by beating me u-? … !"

The thought died as he watched Erza's movements. The girl had approached him with speed but once she stood in front of him, she dropped.

Her body collapsed to the floor, hands, knees, and face all pressed into the ground. It took a second to really sink in, but she was prostrating herself.

"I'm sorry." He heard her voice from the floor.

He remained calm, but Gray was stunned. So much in fact that he released Kinzo's collar and took several steps back. But Gray wasn't where his attention was at the moment, no he was much more interested in what Scarlet had to say.

"I do believe that some of my concerns and actions were justified, but I acknowledge that on many occasions I was hasty, unfair, and biased against you." She was actually doing this?

"What I am asking of you is unfair, I know. I have treated you poorly on a number of occasions, even so…"

"Please forgive me... please help me save this guild."

He couldn't believe it, he couldn't believe "The nerve. You admit to it and still have the nerve to ask for my help? You have no shame at all do you?" he bit.

He was nearly trembling in anger.

"You want my help?" As he spoke he forged a sharp spear in his hand. The blade pointed down. Even so, the girl didn't look up, she just kept her head on the ground.

"Then I'll give you my help."

"Kinzo don'-!" Mira and Cana started. But their pleas were drowned out by the sound of metal smashing into the floorboards.

"That's all you get," he said, turning and starting to walk away.

Finally, the Knight glanced up and saw a large spear piercing the wooden floor just to the left of her head.

"I'm not gonna tell you how it works." She heard him call back.

"But you've been watching me fight long enough you should know my metal absorbs magic. One attack Scarlet. That spear will save you from one attack, don't waste it."

Finally, the rogue reached the guild doors, pushing them open to leave. And leaving Fairy Tail to its own devices in the process.

With each step, he felt a bit of guilt, but he pushed it down. As he said, he'd already done more for those people than they had any right to ask of him. Makarov would have no right to complain.

Even so with each step, he felt guilt. And with each step, he felt the cold sting of ice against his chest.

Author's note

Not much action this time around but some interesting Character interactions in my opinion. I'm curious to know what you think. Was Kinzo 'in character' this chapter given what I've written so far or do you think I was inconsistent? Feel free to let me know. But regardless I hope you enjoyed.

Magic

1) Metal-Make Magic like ice make... but with metal

2) Speed Magic (Potential energy magic- p.s. I made this up so you won't find it on a wiki... I think.) so any time you see Conversion Leap (speed boost) or Kinetic Decay (stealing something else's speed and trapping it in place)

3) Telekinesis lifting things with one's mind etc.

4) Re-Quip no armor just items/weapons

Tools

1) His Revolver- Iron Maiden (two types of ammo revealed. Puncture rounds and Flashbang rounds)

2) The rings his mother gave him - can be molded into other objects and when spun together replay a recorded message.

3) The magic absorbing metal - He can choose to make his weapons out of this or other kinds of normal metal (iron, steel, etc.)

4) The Eye of Talionis - replacing his right eye, it allows the user to see magic (Ethernano)

5) Isacc Colt's journals - three journals belonging to his father

6) metal woven into his hair - this will not play a major role for most of the story but I may as well mention it so people don't forget.

Abilities

(1) Enhanced strength, speed, and senses. - under normal circumstances, Kinzo can act like a normal human in terms of strength and senses, but when he focuses on a particular trait it can increase its effectiveness. I.E. by focusing on his sense of Sight, he can see more clearly at much farther distances.
