AUTHOR'S NOTES

Despite not being an original video game series, The Chronicles of Narnia series shares a lot in common with the Fire Emblem video game series. The main thing that is the same is that they have fantasy story elements. However, Fire Emblem is not known for talking beasts like The Chronicles of Narnia series is. So, as a result of these similarities, I have decided to use up my free time to write a Fire Emblem X Chronicles of Narnia story. The Fire Emblem world I chose was Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS; ALL RIGHTS GO TO THEIR RESPECTFUL OWNERS. Enjoy the story!

Chapter 1: The Book Disposure

It was nighttime at Garreg Mach Monastery at the center of Fódlan. However, it was nowhere near midnight yet. Mercedes von Martritz, a student of the Blue Lions class who hails from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, was in her room reading her book of ghost stories while eating sweets she had baked after class that day. Suddenly, someone knocked on her door. It was her 17-year-old classmate Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, the prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and the leader of the Blue Lions class. Mercedes asked Dimitri what he wanted from her.

"It seemed like Professor Byleth was looking for you, Mercedes." Dimitri asked. "It sounds like we'd better go find him together. If he's not in his quarters, I guess we should check to see if he is in Captain Jeralt's quarters."

"I have one question, Dimitri." Mercedes said. "Why we? Are we going together?" Mercedes later asked.

"We are in fact going together, Mercedes." Dimitri responded. "It is much too dangerous to wander off alone in this darkness around these difficult times."

"I see." Mercedes said. "Then here we go!" And so, Mercedes and Dimitri went to find out where Professor Byleth was.

Meanwhile at the library, Seteth, the advisor to Archbishop Rhea of the Church of Seiros, was looking through the library to find some documents that were deemed inappropriate to the church. However, a set of books caught his attention. When Rhea walked past the library, she saw Seteth looking at that particular set of books.

"Lady Rhea… come take a quick look at this." Seteth said.

"Yes, Seteth?" Rhea asked.

"What is the meaning of these books here?" Seteth asked the archbishop.

"Ah, yes… the books about Narnia…" Rhea thought to herself in peace.

"Narnia…" Seteth thought. "I have never heard of a place like that. Tell me more about it."

"I cannot do that, Seteth." Rhea said. "I know nothing about it. Our dearest Professor Byleth bought the books with your sister from the Holy Book Vendor at Garreg Mach's village." Rhea later mentioned.

"Wait… are you meaning to tell me that… Flayn went to the village by herself?!" Seteth asked in anger. "This is not like her! She could have gotten kidnapped out in that world of horror!"

"Seteth, relax. Flayn was with the professor the entire time. I am sure that he has protected her well." Rhea said. Suddenly, Dimitri and Mercedes passed by the library, and they were listening to the entire conversation Rhea and Seteth were having.

"Please forgive my intrusion, Archbishop Rhea." Dimitri said. "But we are looking for Professor Byleth as he was looking to see Mercedes. Have you seen him anywhere?" he later asked.

"Have you checked his quarters on the dormitory's first floor?" Seteth asked.

"Yes, we have." Mercedes said. "But he was sadly not there."

"We have also checked the Captain's Quarters, but nobody was in there other than Leonie searching through Captain Jeralt's things." Dimitri said. Suddenly, something came to Seteth's mind.

"I know where you can check. The Cathedral." Seteth said. "He's in there almost every day upon my watch tending to the saint statues upon the request of me. Try checking there."

"OK." Mercedes said. "Thanks, Seteth!" When Dimitri left, Mercedes suddenly froze. She turned back around and asked Seteth and Rhea about the books.

"Oh, these books right here, Mercedes?" Seteth asked. "They are books that Professor Byleth bought at the Holy Book Vendor with Flayn."

"What are the books about?" Mercedes asked Seteth.

"These books are about a place called Narnia. Since it is part of our outside world, we know nothing of it." Seteth said. "And, we must remove them from the Church's library since they are not about our world we live in."

"Well, I like learning new things. I'll be happy to take them off your hands if the Church of Seiros doesn't want the books in the library." Mercedes said happily with a smile on her face.

"Well, I don't see why you can't have the books, Mercedes." Rhea said. "Take very good care of them. These books are very delicate, according to Professor Byleth."

"I will." Mercedes said.

Back with Dimitri, he was wondering where Mercedes disappeared too. When he turned around, she was nowhere to be found. But when Dimitri turned around again, Byleth was walking out of the greenhouse.

"Professor, where the hell have you been?! And what have you been doing all this time" Dimitri asked.

"Tending to some stuff that hasn't been done all weekend, Dimitri." Byleth said.

"I see." Dimitri said.

"Where's Mercedes?" Byleth asked. "I was supposed to have a word with her?"

"She was right behind me… but she got behind again." Dimitri said. Suddenly, Mercedes caught up with Dimitri and the professor."

"Professor Byleth! Dimitri! Over here!" Mercedes exclaimed.

"Oh, gods, Mercedes!" Dimitri said.

"Don't be like that, Dimitri." Byleth said. Mercedes suddenly showed them the books about Narnia she got from the Church's library after the church said they did not want them.

"What are these books?" Dimitri asked.

"I know what they are, Dimitri." They are the Narnian books I bought with Flayn at the Holy Book Vendor. I used my father's sack of gold coins to get these books about Narnia."

"And your father was okay with that?" Dimitri asked.

"I asked him first." Byleth said.

"Hmph." Dimitri said. He later turned around and later ignored Byleth for the rest of the conversation.

Said Mercedes to Byleth, "You know, Professor, I wish we could go to Narnia. I would like to meet all its wonderful people and fight off all of its evil."

"Mercedes, Narnia's not real." Dimitri said.

"But it just said so in the books, Your Highness!" Mercedes said.

"Mercedes, not all stories are true, you know. Perhaps this could be outdated information." Byleth said. "Now come on. Let's get to bed.

"Alright, Professor." Mercedes said. "Good night."

"Good night." Byleth responded back. And so, everyone went to bed for the night. Mercedes still wondered if Narnia was a real world. She decided to immediately return to her commoner's room on the dormitory's first floor to learn and find out more about Narnia. Little did Mercedes know that a fantasy journey was about to begin.
