Yes, finally a new chapter!

Come on, this one has many important details for the future of the story!

Chapter 5 - Plan Executed - The Beasts of Beginning

"Hey, did you know?" One person asked.

"I knew about what?"

"About the four Beasts of the Beginning," the person replied. "The legends say that they are mythical creatures that have been around since the beginning of time."

Actually, they say there are more than just four Beasts, but those are the main ones best known.

"No, should I know?" The boy asked.

The person just smiled as he answered.

"Yes, you never know when that kind of information could be useful, right? They say that these creatures dwell in another world. Each one is able to control something of its own nature. One of these creatures can control a fire so intense that it is said to be impossible to put out by normal means, and is also capable of bringing the world to an insane overheating, it would be like living on an island surrounded by volcanoes. Another can control ice in such an incredible way that it could put the world into a new Ice Age." The person explained while gesturing with his hands.

The boy was now listening with a certain interest.

The person continued.

"The third beast is capable of controlling fearsome lightning of an unusual purple color. It is said that it is capable of bringing great storms throughout the world. And then there is the fourth beast. This one is able to control the waters with unimaginable strength and perfection, being able to cause great tsunamis all over the world." The person finished his explanation and looked at the boy before asking a question.

"Tell me, what do you think would happen if these four beasts faced each other?"

"All four of them? It would be total chaos. And if they really are as strong as in those legends, then our planet would most likely come close to being destroyed." The boy replied.

"It would come close? Wouldn't it for sure?"

"I have my own thoughts," the boy said, refusing to answer what he meant by his earlier statement.

"I see..."

"Then could you tell me what was the point of telling me about it?" The boy asked curiously, though he did not express that on his face.

"Tell me, Ayanokouji," the person said his name and then smiled as he looked at him. "If you could use the power of some of these creatures to their full strength, which one would you choose?"

PAFT!

A sound echoed through the club room. That sound came from Issei's cheek.

He was slapped. Rias slapped Issei in the face.

She was wearing a serious expression.

"How many times do I have to repeat it? No it isn't. I cannot allow you to save that nun."

Issei went to school after failing to save Asia and told the whole story to Rias. Well, the whole story apart from the fact that Ayanokouji was together with him.

Even after telling what happened, Issei set out to go to that church. Obviously, to save Asia. But, Rias on the other hand, said that he would not be involved in that matter. He was not able to agree with her decision, so he tried to convince her, although he knew that this was rude. That was why Rias slapped him.

Seeing that Issei was silent, Rias sighed and began to speak again.

"Tell me, Ise, what do you know about the underworld?"

Some time ago, Rias started calling Issei that way, since he didn't care.

Issei just looked at her. "The underworld?" He repeated. "Other than what you told? Nothing, I guess?" Issei didn't know why Rias was bringing this up out of the blue.

"Do you remember the incident three years ago?" Rias changed the question.

As soon as she said that, Issei's eyes widened.

The incident three years ago... of course he remembers it. There's no way he can't remember it. The whole world suffered from it. The most common 'disasters' were heavy rains and seas creating insane waves. Japan was hit with several Tsunamis along with the Purple Lightning, but it was not only Japan. The whole world suffered from the same Tsunamis.

The chaos was great all over the planet.

Many people thought that the end of the world had come, while others said that two 'mystical beasts' were fighting inside the ocean for territory.

Many people lost their homes, important objects, or even family members. Even people didn't escape this. Tsunamis and lightning killed several people. The most affected were the people in hospitals. It was common to see news of the wreckage along with news of the elderly and children who were killed because of the Tsunamis and the storms.

It was very distressing to hear everywhere Issei went about the victims of the tsunamis.

Luckily his parents had not been injured. The same cannot be said about Issei's grandfather, who died after a tsunami hit his home.

After that, it took a long time for people to start gaining confidence that they would not be hit by another tsunami any time soon. Even today there were some paranoid about this issue.

"Of course I remember, the whole world was affected."

"Yes, just as you say, Ise. The whole world has been affected. The Underworld is no exception," Rias said.

Issei's eyes widened.

The Underworld was also affected?

"In what way was the Underworld affected?"

Rias sighed a little and said nothing for a while, as if thinking about what she was going to say. After a while in silence, she began to speak.

"At the time the tsunamis were occurring in the human world, the underworld was affected in a different way. A moon was created in the underworld."

"A moon?" Issei raised his eyebrows.

"Yes," Rias confirmed. "But it wasn't just any moon. She was purely made of water. Water began to gather from everywhere in the underworld, creating a moon made entirely of water, and then she rose in the underworld sky."

Issei was having trouble processing the information. A moon made of water rose in the sky of the underworld? What the hell does that mean? It made no sense at all...

"Why are you telling me this?" Issei asked. He couldn't waste much time. It was starting to get dark, he had to save Asia.

Rias sighed again. "I have reason to believe that Ayanokouji-kun has something to do with this incident, or he at least has information about it."

Besides, there is also that "ghost" maid of his that they never saw. Everything around Ayanokouji Kiyotaka is suspicious and strange.

Rias initially thought that Ayanokouji was some kind of mage, but she dismissed that after watching him for a while. He looked like just an ordinary human, which was strange given the way Koneko described his aura. She simply couldn't figure anything out about him.

As much as he looked like an ordinary human, Rias couldn't stop getting the feeling that there is something more about the individual named Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.

"What?" Issei couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Ayanokouji had something to do with this incident? That was simply impossible in more ways than one...

"It is exactly as I said. However, it is only speculation. Ayanokouji-kun is someone completely mysterious who appeared out of nowhere."

Ayanokouji knows about the supernatural, but he is not like them who have supernatural powers, so it is impossible that he had anything to do with this incident. Ever since Issei learned that the supernatural was real, he has always pondered that the disaster of three years ago had something supernatural involved, and was not a natural disaster as many people believed it to be.

It just wasn't the time for him to dwell on it.

"You're not going to help me save Asia, are you?"

"I already said no, Ise." Rias replied.

"Then I'll go alone. I'm worried about this ritual thing. The fallen angels are doing something behind the scenes. There is no guarantee of Asia's safety."

"Are you really dumb? You will definitely be killed if you go. You won't be able to come back to life ever again. Do you understand?"

Rias tried to speak calmly, but she was speaking to Issei as if she was warning him.

"Your actions will affect not only me, but also the other members! You are a devil of the Gremory Clan! You need to be aware of that!"

"Then let me leave your group. I'll go there without calls."

"I can't do that! Why don't you understand?"

This was the first time Issei had seen Rias this angry. He has caused a lot of trouble for her, but there are things he can't let go of.

"I became friends with Asia Argento. Asia is my important friend. I will not abandon my friend!"

"... That's a wonderful thing. I think it's amazing if you can say it directly. But that is something different from what we are talking about here. The coexistence between a devil and a fallen angel is not as simple as you might think. The two sides have been eyeing each other for centuries and millennia. If you show them a simple weakness, they will come and kill us. They are our enemies."

"Wasn't blowing up the enemy the Gremory way of doing things?"

"..."

"..."

They both stared at each other.

Issei did not back down. He looked straight into Rias' eyes.

He had promised Ayanokouji that he would save Asia, and he will do it!

"That girl was originally from God's side. She is a person we can never coexist with. Even if she is with the fallen angels, that doesn't change the fact that she is still an enemy of ours, an enemy of the devils."

"Asia is not our enemy!"

"Even if she isn't, she has nothing to do with us. Ise, you have to forget about her."

Even if she says something like that, there is no way he can forget Asia!

Then Akeno came and whispered something in Rias' ear.

What was it? Did something happen? Akeno also had a serious expression. But it didn't seem to be because of Issei and Rias' discussion.

Rias who was listening to Akeno got a serious face. Just as Issei thought, something had definitely happened. Rias looked at Issei and the other members who were just listening to their discussion a few minutes ago.

"I have an urgent matter to attend to now. Akeno and I are going to be gone for a while."

"Wait! Rias, I'm not finished talking-"

Rias put his index finger on Issei's lips, stopping him from speaking.

"Issei, there are a number of things I need to tell you. First. You think a [Pawn] is a weak piece, don't you? Am I right?"

Issei silently nodded.

"That is a big misconception. The [Pawn] has an ability that the other pieces don't have. That ability is [Promotion]."

Promotion?

"Just like in the real game of chess, a [Pawn] can become another piece if he reaches the enemy base. It can promote itself to any other piece, with the exception of the [King]. Ise, when you enter a place that is recognized as the 'enemy base,' you are able to become any other piece other than the [King]."

So he could promote himself to a [Knight] like Kiba, a [Rook] like Koneko, and even a [Queen] like Akeno!?

"Since it hasn't been long since you became a devil, there are restrictions, so it's probably still impossible for you to promote yourself to the supreme piece, a [Queen]. But you can change to others. If you sincerely wish with your heart for a promotion, then there will be a change in your ability."

That was amazing! Hearing that cleared up a lot of doubts that Issei had. If he adds the promotion with his Sacred Gear, then he might be able to surpass that priest!

"Also, one more thing. It's about Sacred Gear. When you use your Sacred Gear, just remember that."

Rias began stroking Issei's cheek with her hand.

"-Desire. Sacred Gear is powered by the force of desire. And it also determines its power through that. Although you are a devil, your will to desire has not been lost. The stronger you wish, the stronger Sacred Gear will respond to you."

-Wishing.

The power to wish will activate Sacred Gear...

That being the case, if he willfully wishes for it, it will activate.

"There is one last thing you must never forget Ise. Even a [Pawn] can defeat a [King]. That is basic in chess. That truth is also applied to devils chess pieces. You can get strong."

After saying that, Rias teleported somewhere else through the magic circle, along with Akeno.

The only ones left were Issei, Kiba and Koneko.

After sighing deeply, Issei was determined to go and was about to leave.

"Hyoudou-kun." Kiba called out to him. "Are you going?"

"Yes, I am. I have to go. After all, Asia is my friend. I'm the one who has to save her."

"... You will be killed. Even if you have Sacred Gear, and even if you use the promotion, you can't handle a group of exorcists and fallen angels by yourself."

Logical answer. Issei knows this. He is very aware of it. However, he had promised Ayanokouji that he would save Asia. How will he face Ayanokouji the next day if he is not able to do that?

"Even so, I will. Even if I die, I will free Asia."

"Good determination...that's what I'd like to say, but that's still reckless."

"Then what should I do!?" Issei shouted at him.

"I'm going too."

"Huh?..." Issei was speechless after hearing something unexpected.

"I don't know much about Asia-san, but you are my companion. Although Buchou said that, there is a part in me that respects your decision. Also, I personally don't like fallen angels and priests. I hate them."

...This guy probably has some kind of bad past too.

"Remember what Buchou said? 'When you enter a place that is recognized as the 'enemy base,' you are able to become any other piece than [King].' So she wasn't indirectly telling us, 'I recognize that the Church is the place where Rias Gremory's enemies are'?"

"Ah." He finally noticed that.

That was why Rias had talked about promotion.

"Buchou indirectly approved of her going. Of course I think she also meant that I should help you. Buchou may have some kind of plan. If not, she would have stopped you by locking you up somewhere." Kiba laughed.

"... I'll go too."

"Koneko?"

"... It worries me just the two of you going."

Issei didn't know what to say, he was speechless. After a while he finally gave a cheerful shout.

"Then let's go on a rescue mission with the three of us! Wait for us, Asia!"

With that, the three of them headed toward the church.

With Ayanokouji: A few minutes before Issei and Rias' conversation.

The sky was already darkening, and it was time for the street lamps to begin to light.

A young man with brown hair and golden eyes was watching the abandoned church. His hands remained in the pockets of his pants. His countenance was eerily calm and he showed no emotion whatsoever, only an extreme calm, as if he already knew what the outcome of everything would be in the end.

And indeed, he did.

Things wouldn't turn out exactly as he thought in the beginning because of the changes in the plan, but still, as long as the original result he imagined remains, it won't make much difference.

Ayanokouji could simply come here much earlier, but he used the time he was walking calmly to do some thinking. Then, before he even reached the abandoned church, he made his decision. It was indeed different from what he had originally planned, but it didn't matter.

Asia would be very useful in a future plan thanks to her Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing.

She was also a kind of insurance in case he or Grayfia got hurt in the future.

She needs to train with her Sacred Gear, after all, she had to put her hands on the boy's knee to heal it, and it also took a while considering that the boy's wound was quite light, if she needed to heal more serious wounds, she would probably take longer.

Time in mortal battle is crucial.

If he had met Asia 3 years ago... things would certainly be less problematic.

Even if Ayanokouji had his help in training Grayfia, he knew he wasn't enough. Of course Grayfia was strong enough to handle most of the possible enemies they would eventually encounter, but...

No matter how strong a person is, there will always be someone who is ahead of them.

Grayfia's safety was a priority. The possibility of something like what happened three years ago happening was low, but not impossible.

Rias probably also planned to make Asia join her Peerage, but for her, unfortunately, this is not going to happen.

Well, it's like they say, "whoever gets there first gets the prize," right?

There are no fallen angels around. But it is certain that they will notice any normal person who tries to enter the place by normal means. They are probably all inside.

The shrine that is located just behind the entrance is suspicious.

Ayanokouji closed his eyes and concentrated to feel Asia's energy. It didn't take long for him to catch the small golden glow emanating from her. He could sense several fallen angels around the place, but not just fallen angels. He sensed something in specific.

"All right, let's go."

As soon as he muttered this, the cell phone in his pocket made a noise. He picked up the cell phone. As soon as he turned on the cell phone, he saw that a message had been sent to him. At first he thought that it was the person from whom he got the information that had sent the message, but apparently not. The message was sent by an unknown number.

Ayanokouji raised his guard at that. 'Who could it be?' he thought.

Had they found him? No, that shouldn't be possible, after all, he hadn't done anything possible to locate him.

He wouldn't find out anything just by thinking, so he opened the message, and as soon as he did, he had a vague idea who the person was who sent that message.

The message said:

Unknown: 18:27 [Where are you hiding, you fucking monster?]

"How the hell did he get my number?" Ayanokouji thought aloud.

Well, that didn't matter. He simply deleted the message and put the cell phone back in his pocket. He couldn't waste much more time. Issei was probably asking Rias for help right now, and even if he didn't think she would help immediately, he couldn't waste any time.

It was still some time before he would reveal himself with Grayfia to the underworld, until then he will enjoy what little of the peaceful life he had left to the fullest. Of course he wasn't going to simply give up his peaceful life, but he knew that they would be investigating him much more seriously.

A sigh escaped his mouth.

"Is it really too much to ask to live a peaceful life...?"

Ayanokouji's eyes changed from the usual golden brown eyes to a bright crystal blue color.

"Just an insurance..." He muttered and started walking with his hands in his pockets.

Ayanokouji passed through the entrance and headed straight for the shrine.

Normally by now his enemies would know of his presence as soon as he entered the shrine, but he made sure to go unnoticed by almost all of them. As soon as he arrived at the place, he began to analyze it.

There is an altar and long benches. Candlelight and interior lamps illuminate the shrine. At first glance, it looks like a very ordinary shrine, if you ignore the destroyed head of the statue.

*CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP*

A clapping sound echoed through the shrine. Someone resembling a priest appeared from behind a pillar.

"Who the fuck are you? Ah, don't answer me, let me guess, you're with those fucking devils, aren't you?"

His appearance was that of a young man with short white hair and red eyes. And just like a priest, he was dressed in clerical clothes. On his face, a strange smile was visible.

"I don't know what you are talking about. I'm just a normal mediocre human who ended up getting lost while searching for the path of life."

"Don't make me laugh, you bitch! You think I'm going to fall for this cheap trick, you fucking devil!?"

Okay, apparently this man had a screw loose.

"But that doesn't matter, you're probably with that son of a bitch who punched me, right? Is he going to show up soon? You know, I've never met with several devils in a short period of time before! You know, since I'm super strong, I cut devils to pieces the first time I meet them! Once I see them, I cut them up right there! I then take care of them and say goodbye! This is how I usually live! But since you've cramped my style, I'm lost! This is not good~. It's not good to interfere with my lifestyle~! That's because~! You've pissed me off! I hope you die! Really die! You vulgar devilssssssss!"

'Does he really think I'm a devil?' Ayanokouji thought.

Correction, his entire box of bolts was missing.

The crazy guy quickly grabbed a gun and a sword. And then a sword of light appeared.

Ayanokouji kept his hands in his pockets the whole time since he walked in and met this crazy guy. The man struck a pose and then spoke again.

"Ah, I forgot to introduce myself, I apologize for being rude! My name is Freed Sellsen. I belong to a certain exorcist organization. Oh, just because I introduced myself doesn't mean you have to. I don't want to remember your name in my mind, so don't even do it. It's okay, since you're going to die soon. I'll make sure of that."

"My name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, it's a pleasure, Freed."

Ayanokouji introduced himself anyway.

"..."

"..."

"Are you a retard!? Didn't you hear what I fucking said!?"

"Regardless of what you said, when a person introduces himself to someone, it's only fair that the other party does the same, isn't it?"

Irritated, Freed just pointed his gun at Ayanokouji and shot him at chest height, hoping to draw some expression of discomfort or pain from his inexpressive face. The way Freed moved could be considered too fast for people, in fact, some probably wouldn't even be able to see him pulling the trigger.

Suddenly everything was in slow motion. Ayanokouji's blue eyes emitted an even stronger glow. As the bullet came close to hitting his skin it seemed to hit something invisible, and then the bullet disintegrated into thousands of mini particles. The sparkles in Ayanokouji's eyes returned to their normal crystal blue.

Freed swore he saw water when the bullet was close to hitting Ayanokouji.

"What the fuck?" Freed exclaimed. "What the hell was that, you fucking devil!? What trick did you use!?" He quickly asked as he waved his hand with the firearm.

"Trick?" Ayanokouji tilted his head as if confused. His face, however, showed no hint of emotion. "I didn't do any trickery. Are you sure it's not just your aim that's lousy?"

This only seemed to irritate him more when he simply ran up to Ayanokouji with the intention of killing him.

Freed attempted a vertical attack with his sword of light, but Ayanokouji dodged, moving his body to the side. Freed used his gun hand to try to shoot Ayanokouji as soon as he dodged, but the result was the same as before. The bullet seemed to hit some kind of invisible wall, and soon after, it disintegrated into thousands of particles. This only made him even more angry than he already was.

And again, he could have sworn he saw drops of water appear around Ayanokouji as the bullet hit the "invisible wall".

These bullets were not normal, and yet he had no problem with them.

"Well, fuck that shit!" Freed exclaimed, throwing the pistol away in some random direction, since he saw that the bullets would not hit Ayanokouji, it would just be a waste of time.

He ran at Ayanokouji with abnormal speed and tried several attacks. Each time he swung his sword, it made a small noise familiar to Ayanokouji. He could swear he had heard that noise somewhere before. Freed moved without stopping for a single second, but no matter how he moved or how he attacked, he couldn't hit Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.

"Damn it, stand still and get cut by me, you fucking devil!" Freed exclaimed as he tried to hit him with the light sword, but to no avail. The most annoying factor for Freed was that the son of a bitch still had his hands in his pockets!

"That's out of the question. That light sword looks dangerous." Ayanokouji's voice came out with frightening calm as he dodged the sword blows sent by Freed.

Every time Freed looked like he was going to hit Ayanokouji, the son of a bitch dodged at the last moment. And besides, what are those water particles floating around him!?

"You son of a bitch, that's a Sacred Gear, isn't it!?" He delivered a horizontal blow to which Ayanokouji dodged. The blow ended up hitting the statue which was missing its head. Well, now the statue was completely destroyed.

"As I said, I am a normal human. I don't possess any Sacred Gear, besides, we're already wasting too much time, I can't prolong this any longer."

"What the fuck are you talking about!? You came to save Asia-tan, didn't you? Hahahaha!" Even in this situation he still manages to laugh. "Where are the others, or just you came to save her? You are so kind to come to save a whore like her, who can heal even devils! The more time you waste here, the worse for that whore! Well, just for getting involved with devils is enough to get that nun killed!"

Aside from the swearing, Freed's comments could be interpreted in the following way, "The longer you take, the faster your defeat will be."

Well, the fact that she can heal devils is exactly why Ayanokouji decided she would be useful to him. With the right training, she would become someone very important, maybe she would evolve on a level to the point of practically giving someone a new life.

However...

"While you are not entirely wrong, your speech is inaccurate." Ayanokouji replied as Freed paused to catch his breath a little.

"Oh, inaccurate? What the fuck are you talking about?"

"While the reason I came here is certainly Asia, you are wrong when you say I came to save her," Ayanokouji replied immediately, leaving Freed confused. "If I really wanted to save her, I could have done it immediately, but it wasn't time yet."

"What the fuck you-" Freed couldn't finish his sentence when he felt a fist in his stomach.

Ayanokouji, who was a few meters away from him, was now practically at his side. Freed couldn't say anything because of the unusual strength of the boy with brown hair and blue eyes.

Wait a minute...

Now that Freed was looking closely, those crystal blue eyes... they were not normal. It looked like there was something moving inside them, and the first thing he thought of was water. There was water moving inside those unusual crystal blue eyes. And he also noticed that there were several drops of water floating around both of them...

'What the fuck is Sacred Gear he's wearing?' was Freed's first thought, after all he couldn't speak a word. He could feel his consciousness disappearing, but before that happened, he heard Ayanokouji's voice, as if it were a whisper.

"In all my life, I have never lost. I have never had a defeat."

And then Freed's consciousness came to an end. Ayanokouji cushioned his fall, placing him calmly on the ground.

"It won't take long," Ayanokouji muttered.

He just used enough force to knock him out at the moment because of the great shock of the impact of his fist. Freed will wake up in a few minutes at least. And that should be enough.

Issei should be arriving at this place any moment now, so from now on he'd better hurry up a bit. Besides, if there was someone powerful around, they would be able to sense Ayanokouji using his energy, although they would need to be experts at detecting someone, after all he was using as little as possible.

...

...

Ayanokouji went down the stairs below the altar. Incredible as it may seem, there was electricity in this place.

After the stairs, there is a single path. Sometimes there are doors on both sides of the wall. So it was a basement.

There was no need to open any of the doors that Ayanokouji passed through. After all, his destination was clear to him. At the end of the path, he would meet the person he came for. He could feel Asia's energy weakening progressively, which meant. Ayanokouji purposely walked a little slower until he reached the end of the large corridor, so that Asia's energy had already weakened even more.

As soon as Ayanokouji reached the door, it opened by itself.

"Well, I sure wasn't expecting you of all people."

From the back of the room, the fallen angel Raynare spoke up.

The room is full of priests. In their hands, they all have the hilt of a sword that becomes a sword of light. Asia was pinned on a cross.

"Asia, are you okay?" Ayanokouji asked, ignoring Raynare.

"... Ayanokouji-san?"

At that moment, Ayanokouji felt something.

"Ah, looks like they've arrived," he said looking at the place he came from.

Issei and 2 other people that Ayanokouji identified as Koneko and Kiba had arrived at the place. By now Freed should be awake, so he should be able to hold them for a few minutes at most. He could also sense Rias and Akeno not far away, probably waiting for the right moment to appear. He had to act quickly.

"What an exciting reunion, you came to save her? It's a pity it's too late. The ritual is about to end."

Suddenly, Asia's body began to glow.

".. Aaah, iyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Asia began to scream, she seemed to be in great pain.

It was time to act.

As soon as Ayanokouji moved, the priests surrounded him. However, a few seconds later, they were all sent flying everywhere by what appeared to be water, which had formed out of nowhere. Some of them were bleeding heavily, which was strange, after all they had only been pushed by water.

"What the hell?" Raynare exclaimed. However, she finally realized something important. When she first met Ayanokouji, she was sure his eyes were golden brown, but now they were a crystal blue color.

"Are you a mage?" She asked cautiously as she made a spear of light in her hand, but she didn't get the answer she wanted, instead...

"Did you know?" Ayanokouji began to speak as she walked calmly, his face showing no expression despite the cries of pain coming from Asia. "A person once said, 'we know more about the universe than our own oceans'."

The moment he said those words, the water around him began to move in a totally unreal way.

Raynare could not believe what he was seeing. This was not how mages' magic was supposed to work. He didn't even seem to be showing any effort to create water from nothing and make it move in that way. It was simply impossible. It was as if the water was moving of its own accord.

Ayanokouji looked at the place where Asia was, and then some water moved there in a strange way, cutting the chains where she was stuck and at the same time destroying everything and cushioning her fall, forming a kind of soft bed of water. The glow that was on her body stopped completely, which meant that she was saved, even if not completely, after all she seemed too weak to move.

"No!" Raynare shouted. "What have you done, damned human!? I was going to become a supreme fallen angel! I could finally get revenge on those whores who belittled me! I was finally going to be useful to him!" Raynare threw the light spear at insane speeds in Ayanokouji's direction.

However, as soon as the spear came close to him, the water around him swung like some kind of sharp whip and cut the light spear Raynare had thrown at him, causing the light spear to disappear into particles of glowing light.

"You are really naive if you think you will become a supreme fallen angel by obtaining a Sacred Gear like Twilight Healing. What did you expect by obtaining it? To become invincible because you can heal yourself?" If she really expected that, then she was way below the idiot level.

"Don't talk like you know anything! Besides, what the hell is that water!? Even with magic that shouldn't be possible!" Raynare shouted pointing at him.

"I don't remember saying that was magic," Ayanokouji replied indifferently.

"Don't play with me, if that's not magic, what is it?!"

"Who knows?"

Raynare quickly formed two other spears of light, however, her target was different. She threw it at Asia who was already passed out from exhaustion.

But the water below her, acting as a comfortable solid object, moved by itself creating a bubble-like barrier around her, destroying the light spears.

"It can't be..." Her voice came out with a tone of disbelief and fear.

It could only be a joke...

Ayanokouji felt something different outside. It was quite an eye-catching energy. It seemed that Issei had unlocked his true Sacred Gear.

"I can't waste time, I'll end this at once," his voice stated coolly.

Raynare was startled as she watched him approach her. His blue eyes were darker, giving off a sinister glow.

He thwarted her plan easily, that's why he was so calm. He didn't mind letting Asia suffer a little because he was probably sure that he could take care of her from the beginning, but still she couldn't help but find it strange the way he acted...

This person in front of her, this man...

No, he is not a person.

Monster.

The thing in front of her was a monster in human form.

"No, no, stay away!" She tried to escape.

As soon as she thought of flying away, her wings were slashed mercilessly, causing her to fall to the ground as she screamed.

"Aaaaagh!"

She kept screaming in pain non-stop, when she managed to look up, she saw water floating on top of her. Probably what had clipped her wings. She still couldn't understand it. How could something like water be that deadly?

Suddenly, a shadow appeared above her. Just then she saw Ayanokouji Kiyotaka's face staring back at her, his cold blue eyes still emitting the sinister glow from before. Just like the first time, she saw some kind of monster behind him. Only this time, she saw it much more clearly.

"There's no need to stay like this," he said out of nowhere. Raynare's eyes were filled with tears. She couldn't say anything as she looked at him. "You wanted to be useful to someone, didn't you?" He continued. "So there's no need to feel like you're a failure, after all..."

Ayanokouji's eyes shone more brightly as he looked at Raynare, who just cried even more, unable to speak of anything.

He then said his next words.

"Even if it wasn't for the person you wanted, you were very helpful to me."

The water began to move around Raynare, and then "swallowed" her completely.

"Wait-!" She tried to scream, but the water went inside her mouth. A large amount of water circled her, but it wasn't like something protective, no, it was just the opposite.

It didn't take long for her to start struggling, trying to get out, but it was useless. She was simply too weak. While trying to get Ayanokouji's attention, he simply put his hands in his pockets and started walking towards Asia. As he was walking, ignoring the small cries of Raynare struggling, he said in a voice loud enough for her to hear.

"Your usefulness has come to an end, and that is why you will be discarded."

She just widened her eyes as she began to struggle harder inside that "dome" of water.

If you asked a person how they wanted to die, most would answer that they would prefer a quick death without much pain, like dying of old age, by a gunshot wound to the heart or head. No one wants to face an uncomfortable and painful death. However, people do not always get to choose the form in which they will die.

Death by drowning is one of the worst next to the death of being burned alive.

During a drowning, the person initially holds their breath, followed by spasm of the larynx and subsequent decrease in oxygen levels. Some time later water enters the person's lungs in large quantities. Asphyxiation can be caused initially by laryngospasm, when the person, faced with a drowning situation, holds his/her breath and struggles in an uncoordinated manner until, unable to remain without breathing, he/she involuntarily sucks in a large amount of water and soaks the lungs. In 10% to 15% of drowning cases, the spasm is so violent that not only water but also air is prevented from entering, and death occurs within minutes.

This is what Raynare was facing right now.

Ayanokouji arrived where Asia was. He calmly picked her up with his arms. She was unconscious, she seemed to be very weak because of it. He could have saved her much earlier, but if he did that, the chance of him getting what he wanted in the future would be less.

It didn't take long for Raynare to slowly stop struggling behind him, and at that very moment, he felt Issei and the others coming up to where he was with great speed.

...

...

...

"Asia!" Issei shouted as he ran to the open door.

Joining him were Koneko, Kiba, Rias and Akeno who had arrived a short time ago after taking care of some fallen angels.

One fact to note was that on Issei's arm was the Boosted Gear. He ended up unlocking it when that crazy guy was talking shit about Asia, so he didn't want to waste any time, and the desire to go to Asia as soon as possible and the promise he made with Ayanokouji made him manage to unlock the Boosted Gear. After that, Freed ran away claiming that he didn't want to die yet, however, he never stopped talking with that strange smile.

As soon as they entered the place, they were confused. Several priests were dead while some were still alive but unconscious. The whole floor was wet. They quickly began to look more closely, and that's when they found...

"Yuuma?" Issei said.

Yuuma or Raynare, she was lying on the ground, and the ground around her was wet. She was also all wet, but she didn't seem to be able to breathe.

Rias walked over to her next to Akeno. She crouched down and looked at Raynare's body carefully while all the members of the occult club were just looking on without doing anything. Although Issei was a little frightened by the scene, he was still looking everywhere for Asia.

But no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't find any of Asia.

"She was drowned..." Rias said after a long time.

"Wait, drowned? How the hell is that possible?" Issei asked that question unconsciously as he looked around before turning his attention back to Raynare's body.

The place they were in was an Abandoned Church, and even though the ground was quite wet, how the hell is it possible for someone to die of drowning like that? He quickly realized.

"Wait, maybe that's him...?" Issei thought aloud.

"What is he talking about?" Rias asked Kiba and Koneko who were standing next to Issei.

Before Issei could answer, Kiba took the lead and explained.

"When we were facing that 'exorcist', he let slip about a boy with bright blue eyes who came before us and knocked him out. Initially, he asked if we were with him."

A person in the same clothes as them...

"Someone from our school?" Rias thought aloud. They were all wearing their Kuoh academy school uniforms. "Do we know any boys with bright blue eyes at school?" Rias asked quickly.

"Not that I remember," Akeno replied with a serious face.

"He didn't mention anything in detail about his appearance?" Rias asked another question. Someone who knows about the supernatural and studies at the same school as them was acting on her territory without warning, she can't allow that to continue. And he apparently had enough strength to take out a fallen angel and several priests easily.

"No," Koneko who replied. "...He just said it's someone with bright blue eyes wearing our school uniform..."

They had no clues at all as to who this person is.

It seems that they would have to investigate from the beginning...

"Ise?" Rias asked as he watched Issei searching everywhere like a madman.

"She's not here!" He exclaimed as he knelt on the ground. "He fucking took her!" Issei slammed his fist with the Boosted Gear into the ground, causing a small impact. He was not able to save Asia, he was not able to fulfill the promise he made with Ayanokouji...

Everyone just looked a little sad, after all it was because of her that they came. However, Rias noticed something near some loose chains. She walked quickly to the spot, and found a sheet of paper...? What was it doing here? The sheet was a little wet. It could be...

She started to read the message that was written, and after she finished reading, she sighed.

"Ise," Rias said as she walked over to him. "Here," she handed the sheet of paper to him.

Although he was confused and tired, he just took the sheet. There was a message on it.

[I saved the girl who was in this place. The plan of the fallen angels was to take Sacred Gear from her, thus resulting in her death. Don't worry, she is in good hands, I assure you.]

With Grayfia.

Grayfia was sitting at the kitchen table while waiting for her master to return. Dinner was already ready, and glancing around, it was possible to see three plates of food on the table.

She had her eyes closed, concentrating on feeling Ayanokouji's energy that had disappeared a few minutes ago.

It didn't take long for a sort of magic circle to glow on the floor of the room.

Grayfia opened her eyes. She saw Ayanokouji appearing with an unconscious blonde girl in his arms.

"Welcome, Kiyotaka-sama," Grayfia bowed her head respectfully.

Ayanokouji looked at the dining table, only to see three plates. Grayfia noticed his gaze on the table, and then she decided to speak.

"I prepared it for three people, but I didn't expect her to be unconscious. I should probably save hers until she wakes up?"

"She won't wake up until tomorrow, she's too exhausted," Ayanokouji replied. "Besides, how did you know I would bring her? I don't remember telling you that." Ayanokouji asked curiously. It seems that Grayfia saw right through him, so he wanted to know how she came to the conclusion.

"Hm, let's see. I didn't really understand what you meant by 'It's not exactly interference if things still go the original way even with my presence,' but you asked a lot about her Sacred Gear. After spending so much time with you, I just assumed that you would find it useful because of Twilight Healing, after all it can heal all people, regardless of race," she explained.

"Anything else?"

"You'll probably need her Sacred Gear because of some plan you must have in mind, but I don't know what it might be if that's the case. She will need training, right?" She asked.

Ayanokouji walked over to the couch with Grayfia behind him. He placed Asia on the couch carefully.

"Yes, you will take care of her training. Even if it is little, at least teach her the basics of self defense, but focus entirely on her magic training. The evolution of Sacred Gear she is essential. But let's leave it for another time, she won't wake up until tomorrow, we'll let her get some rest," he answered while making a movement with both of his hands.

"Are you going to give her one?" Grayfia asked, knowing what her master was planning to do.

"Yes, after all, it will increase some of her magic performance, as well as protect her on some occasions as well."

Suddenly, a bright sphere of water appeared floating above Ayanokouji's hands. The blue glow of the water sphere was strong enough to light up the entire room they were in. It didn't take long for the water to start moving towards Asia, more precisely towards her neck.

The water began to take on a solid form. Bright blue chains attached themselves around Asia's neck, and in the center something began to form. After this, Ayanokouji and Grayfia looked at the newest necklace around Asia's neck.

Grayfia looked carefully at the center of the necklace, which was shaped like a bright blue chess piece. It seemed to have water moving inside the piece, and suddenly, Asia's body emitted a great blue glow, the bright piece that seemed to have water moving from it became quiet, taking on a darker color.

"Process completed," Ayanokouji said looking at the newest piece on his chessboard.

The Bishop.

Well, what did you think?

At the beginning of the chapter, we have some important information. The four main beasts.

We finally saw some of what Ayanokouji can do. What did Ayanokouji mean by "Raynare was useful to him?" There are a lot of questions answered in that chapter, so take your time reading.

The message that Ayanokouji received just as he was preparing to enter the Church is very important. Well, just from the fact of how the message was written, I think many of you can guess who sent it. And if you are one of those who knows who it was that sent the message. Yes, he is here too! Celebrate, damn it!

And he won't be the only one, after all, there are four main beasts... And I guess many will guess what I do with this, right?

The story will follow the DXD storyline precisely until the first season ends, after that things will start to take a different course. Of course, there will still be some major events from DXD, but I will do my best to make them quite different from the original.

Let me know your theories and what you think of the chapter.

My break starts on July 4th and goes until the 18th, if I'm not mistaken. During this time, I will prioritize on writing my Classroom of The Elite fanfics that have been stopped for a while now.

I apologize for any spelling mistakes. My primary language is Portuguese (BR). However, I think I've improved a lot, so there should be far fewer mistakes than in previous chapters, I hope...

I will be adding this story category to the crossover tag soon, if it is still possible.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka is not the only character from Classroom of The Elite in this crossover.

Well, that's it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I will try to answer them in the next chapter.

See you in the next chapter!

Note: In Portuguese, devil and demon, kind of mean almost the same thing. That's why I changed Devil to Demon. I just corrected that in the previous chapters, and this one has already been posted in the right way.
