They stand in the same spot, exploring each other's lips and mouth. They are both moaning and grinding each other. The sounds are almost melodic. His hand is planted firmly on her ass. Her hands are massaging his curls and his neck, holding him close. Before they know it, they are pushed up against the wall. The veracity of how they hit the wall breaks them out of the bubble for a moment. They are panting into each other's mouth.

"What are we doing?" Liv says.

"What makes us feel good," Fitz says as kisses her hard.

She breaks away, "I don't want to move too fast," Liv says breathlessly.

"I don't want to move too fast either," Ftiz says as they continue to kiss between their words.

Liv brings his face to hers. Once again their lips are grazing each other, "God help me. I want you so much."

"I want you too," Fitz says as begins to kiss her again. She's lost in his touch and his lips that she doesn't even realize he brings her to his well appointed chaise chair by his fireplace. He places her on it.

"Fitz," she says as he places her there and stands over her. Without a word, he gets on his knees.

"I need to taste you," Fitz says.

"Fitz," she sighs. She feels like her skin is on fire with want for this man.

He reaches up, still on his knees. He extends his chest over her, kissing her lips. "Can I taste you?" She doesn't say a word, she just nods what she wants, throwing her head back on the chaise letting out a breath.

He travels back down her body. He unbuttons her pants. She holds the arms of the chair, lifting her ass for him to bring the pants down her legs. He laughs. "What?" She says smiling.

"Shoes," he says as he removes her boots quickly. She plays with the curls in his head. Finally the pants are completely off of her. He loves the site before him, a red lace thong. After all, it is Christmas. "You are so sexy," he says.

"So are you," she giggles.

"Are these new," he asks.

"What?" She says as he grazes the hem of her thongs with his teeth.

"These," he asking as he grabs a hold with his teeth

She is lost in the sensation of his chin massaging her core as he starts to peel the thong away with his teeth, "I don't care. Fuck….take it off," she commands.

He giggles. "You smell so good," he utters. He knows he's driving her insane. He detaches his teeth and rips the thong away. It makes her gasp. She feels like she's about to lose her mind. He surprises her, going back to her heel. "I'm in no rush," he announces as he begins to kiss up her legs in kissing and licking motions. She's gripping the chair arms. Her pearl is glistening. She feels like her body is vibrating.

She opens her legs as wide as her little body will allow. She's lost all resolve to move slowly. She wants him and she wants him now. God, she thinks to herself. This man knows foreplay. He wants me to beg. "Please Fitz," she begs.

He moves faster up her leg with his lips as he finally reaches her core. He pulls her bottom down further on the chaise and dives into her middle like a man possessed. The first swipe of his tongue across her clit makes her moan. He starts to suck her clit like a straw. She tastes the way he imagined. He sucks and licks her clit intermittently. She's whimpering and crying his name in ecstasy. He spreads her lips with his finger, moving it up and down her walls as he digs his tongue in deeper. He uses the flat of his tongue to lick her walls. She's wet and she's dripping. She's gripping the chair so hard, her knuckles are changing colors.

"Fitz...I…," she arches her back off the chair. "I can't...I can't.."

This makes Fitz grip her ass tighter, bringing her core closer to her face. He looks up at her. Her eyes are closed. She's biting her lip. Her legs are trembling. "I can't hold…" she starts.

"Let go...cum for me," he says.

She let's go of the chair and pushes his head further into her middle. He licks her clit up and down and circles his tongue around her nub forcefully. She's never in her life been pleasured this way. She's never had a man pleasure her this long. She wants him to bury his tongue inside her and stay there. "Fitz," she screams at the top of her long."

He inserts a third finger massaging her swollen walls. Her walls are locking around his fingers. He knows what she needs for a release. He dives back in and sucks her then flicks her nub in and out fast and her whole body shakes as she climaxes. His face is covered in her essence. He licks his lips. He's slowly fingering her in and out, soothing her wet lips as she comes down.

"Oh my...god..what just happened?" She asks as he is still on his knees. His chest pressed against hers. He looks up at her. She's massaging his curls and head. "That was amazing."

"You taste amazing," he answers.

She's about to answer when her phone rings. She wouldn't normally answer but it's her hospital phone. When that one rings, it's usually something serious and she has to go in. It's almost like a burner phone.

"Please don't answer that," Fitz says as he begins to unbutton her shirt.

"I have to. It's the hospital phone," Liv says breathlessly . She looks down at him and at her state. She's naked, ass bare, crotch open and she now knows what the true meaning of cunnilingus is. She now knows how deprived she's been. Her sex life has definitely been boring. She's flushed.

"I want to take you upstairs and enjoy the rest of this Christmas night and this beautiful," he kisses her hip bone. "And this delicious body." He kisses her navel and looks at her with hooded eyes. The lust in his eyes makes her literally shiver.

"I have to call. I hate it, but I have to," she says sadly. "Can you pass me my phone? It's in my purse." He doesn't say a word. He gets up reluctantly, looking in her purse finding the two phones. He shows her the phones, inquiring which one she needs. She points and he passes it to her. He reaches over on his couch and gets the throw and neatly places it around her. "Thank you," she says as dials the numbers. "Olivia Pope," she says.

Fitz is cleaning up his face with a wet cloth. He watches her face as she continues to speak. "Actually, I am here in the city. I can be there in 30." she says as she gets up. He sits on the stool at his bar and pours a glass of scotch. He knows this means she's leaving and their night is over. She mouths to him, I'm sorry. She finishes the call, "Thanks, see you soon!"

"You have to go," Fitz says.

"I'm sorry, it's a big case and they want me to scrub in for the hours and the experience. It's an emergency CABG." Fitz looks like she's speaking gibberish. "It's a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft procedure."

"They want you there, that's good for you. That means you must be one of their prize pupils."

"I guess," she says humbly. "I never assisted with one of those. It's a really good opportunity," Liv tries to explain knowing he's disappointed.

He senses it in her voice, "You don't have to explain Olivia. I know this is important."

"Thank you. I just...what just happened was amazing. Just….amazing," she fumbles her words.

"That was just a preview," he winks.

She has to look away from his glare. She holds up her torn underwear, "I can't go to work like this."

He walks over to her, cupping her bare ass in his hand. It makes her throat catch, "That's why I asked if they were new. They were obstructing my view and my lips. I'll replace them." Liv can't help but blush. "You did say, and I repeat, 'Fuck, take them off.'

She slaps his chest, "I remember," as she pulls away. "Look at me. I have on a top and literally nothing else."

"You look delicious to me," He answers.

She pulls away, picking up her bags she had packed for Rochester and finds a pair of underwear. "I hate that I have to go."

"How about not going at all?" He says getting up from the chair. She's dropped the throw and forgotten she's naked. He holds her in place, bringing his hand between her legs. "Wouldn't you rather be here?"

She gasps at the feel of his fingers, "Of course but.."

"I know...I'll see you tomorrow, hopefully," he says.

"You smell like me," she says as they kiss.

"I taste like you too and that's perfect," he responds. Liv's cheeks turn apple red. He smiles, "Did I embarrass you?"

"A little," she blushes. "You know how to get me flustered."

"The hospital owes me for messing up this perfectly good evening," Fitz says as he grabs his phone.

She grabs his hand, bringing his fingers to his lips. She kisses them gently, "I promise to make it up to you."

"I'm already up. That's not the problem," he nods at his shaft. She slaps his chest. "Hey, don't blame me. You are standing in front of me in almost your birthday suit. You expect me to not be up."

She shakes her head, "Can you call me an Uber? I'm going to run in the bathroom and clean up right quick," she says as she starts walking. She realizes she's in someone else's house. She turns to him, "Where is the bathroom?" He points to the door to her right as he stares at her ass and watches her go in.

Fitz calls his driver, who lives in the bottom apartment of his brownstone. Tom asks no questions, he just gets up and gets the car ready. Liv comes out of the bathroom dressed. Fitz is standing with his back to the bar waiting for her. His arms are folded and his biceps are welcoming. This man is an adonis, she thinks to herself. He smiles at her, "Tom is going to take you."

"Who is Tom?" Liv asks, confused.

"My driver, " Fitz says.

"He has a name. He was not talkative last night," she smiles as she puts on her boots. "Fitz, it's so late. I can't let him do that," she protests.

"Well you aren't getting on the subway or taking an Uber," Fitz says sternly. "It's Tom or nothing."

"Fine, Tom can take me." She grabs her phone, texting the hospital. She turns to him, "I'll call you tomorrow."

"How about dinner tomorrow night?" Fitz says.

"I'd love to," she smiles. He wraps her in his arms. "Mmmm, don't make this hard on me. I don't want to leave."

"What am I doing?" Fitz says as if he's innocent.

"You are looking at me with sad puppy eyes and you are pouting. Guilt trip," Liv laughs.

"Is it working?" Fitz grins boyishly.

"You might not see it on my face but trust me it's working," She winks.

"How about I pick you up from work? You can leave your stuff here and come back," Fitz suggests.

She's hesitant to say yes and she knows he won't understand why. "I'll call you when I get home. I am sure it's gonna be a long night."

"Okay," he says with obvious disappointment.

She reaches up on her toes and kisses him, "Thank you!"

"For what?" Fitz asks.

She brings his hand to her core, "For waking me up," she says as she goes to the door.

Fitz watches her perfect ass in those perfect jeans leave. He lets out a breath, "Damn!"

Three Days Later:

"What in the hell is wrong with you?" Lizzie says to Live as they have lunch.

"Could you be any louder?" Liv says.

"The man ate you out on a chair. You saw God. You saw stars and you've been avoiding him. So again, I ask, what in the hell is wrong with you?"

Liv looks around to see if anyone can hear their conversation, "Can you just simmer down and hear me out?"

Lizzie sits back in her chair, "Speak your piece."

"I got to work that night and I could barely focus. You know how serious that surgery was," Liv starts.

"You were assisting, not performing the surgery," Lizzie fires back.

"No but I have to stay focused. I can't afford this right now," Liv answers.

"You can't afford what?" Lizzie asks.

"I can't afford to not be focused. They are going to be picking team members very soon. I need to stay focused," Liv tries to excuse.

"You are going to make the team Liv. We've been through this already. This man is your dream. This sounds like a crazy attraction. Don't let him get away."

"Dr. Beene was asking me questions and I was daydreaming about this man's tongue and all the things it could do and that I wanted it to do. A man is lying on the table with our life in his hand and I was still on that chair with my legs spread eagle on a chair," Liv says as she gets a shiver from the thought.

"What's so bad about that?"

"Dr. Beene was asking me what I thought should be done next and I was zoned out," Liv says.

"You answered him didn't you?" Liz asks.

"After stumbling and having to shake myself out of my haze, yes I did."

"Then what's the problem?" Liz says frustrated at her best friend.

"The problem is, I don't have time for a relationship right now. That's the problem. I can't be thinking about sex while saving lives," Liv says.

"Technically you didn't have sex yet," Liz pushes.

Liv gives her a look of come on, "We both know that was technically sex."

"Okay. Now don't get me wrong, I can imagine what's potentially between his legs is scaring the shit out of you. If he's working with a tongue like that, his dick might be explosive," Liz points out. One of the nurses at the next table looks their way.

Liv throws her head back, "I'm a coward, I get it. I just don't know how to tell him how scared I am."

"You have no reason to be scared Liv. He sounds like a man that's gonna support you and loves your drive. He's not going to lessen all of your hard work."

"I know that I just don't feel like I have the time to commit to the relationship right now. I need to focus on this and then…"

Lizzie stops her, "And he is supposed to wait until maybe you are ready to be in a relationship. That's not fair to him."

Liv rubs her forehead, "Then what do you suggest I do."

"Let nature take its course, that's what," Lizzie answers and then she studies Liv's face. "You have already fallen for him, that's the problem."

"We skated around each other for years and never said a word to each other. The first night we say Hi to each other, he kisses me like I've never been kissed before and then in 24 hours his face is buried between my legs and I loved every minute."

"I'm so jealous," Lizzie laughs.

"You have a wonderful husband and that's not the point. We need to know each other before…"

"It's a little late for that now. He's been between those lips and now it's all you can think about and probably all he can think about. Just go with it. He may be the love of your life."

"I need to go, I am sitting in on a valve repair," Liv says.

Lizzie grabs her hand, "I know this is scary but I want you to be happy. Don't run from this. Call him and talk to him. Don't leave him wondering what he did wrong."

"He didn't do anything wrong. He did everything right," Liv says.

"You need to tell him that," Lizzie says.

"I know," Liv shakes her head and walks away. Truth be told, she doesn't want to tell Lizzie that not calling him, talking to him or seeing him has bothered her more than anything else. And that scares the shit out of her.

Fitz has spent the last few days confused. Every time he called her, Liv made the conversations short. He could tell she was avoiding him without avoiding him. He just wants to ask what he did wrong. He also can't forget what happened that night. How good she felt in his arms and on his lips. How good she tasted. He could only imagine what it would be like to be inside of her. He's deep in thought when Harrison comes into his office. He never heard him knock.

"Permission to enter," Harrison says sitting in the chair opposite his desk. Fitz is still daydreaming. "Fitz," Harrison yells.

Fitz shakes his head, coming out of his memory, "When did you come in?"

"Let's see, right around time she threw her leg over your shoulder," Harrison winks.

"I was not thinking about sex," Fitz defends.

"Come on man! You can't kid a kidder. You were thinking about sex." Harrison doesn't let up.

"Harrison, what did you need?"

"Is it the sister from Rockefeller Center? She's got you twisted in knots. What happened during Christmas?"

"Nothing happened. What's happening with that case?" Fitz tries to deflect.

"Listen man, you know you can talk to me. What's going on?" Harrison asks.

"I finally spoke to her. We went out for pastrami and coffee on Christmas Eve. We kissed and then Christmas night she was at my door," Fitz starts.

"Okay, that means your game is on point."

"We didn't have sex….I went down on her,"

Harrison's eyes nearly bug out. "You did this."

"Anyway, she was called in to work and our night was cut short. I called her to take her out to dinner and she had excuses. I chalked it up to being tired and working but she's very short with me on the phone. I don't know it's weird."

"I am asking this only because women can trip some time. Everything was cool you know when y'all was getting busy. She was in to it right."

Fitz gets up irritated, "I didn't force myself on her Harrison, damn!"

"I'm just asking man...you know..women and mixed signals."

"She wanted it, I wanted it. Something else is wrong. I just can't put my finger on it," Fitz says sadly.

"Maybe she's scared. Maybe she feels like you both are moving fast. Although 3 years of staring is not too fast."

"She said that to me and then she told me she wanted it but that's not it," Fitz says. Harrison can tell he's searching.

"It's gonna be cool. Maybe she is just PMSing," Harrison tries to shake it off.

"I asked to go out with me on New Year's Eve. She said yes at first. I hope she doesn't skip out on me," Fitz says with a twinge of sadness.

"Listen, everything will be okay. If she's too screwed up in the head, just move on," Harrison says going toward the door.

"What's the news on the case? That is why you came in here, isn't it?"

"We are good. I got them to bring in another client. This is going to be big for us."

"Good work! The more you all work, the less I have to," Fitz chuckles.

"By the way, I can't wait to meet this woman. She's got you starry eyed and all vulnerable and shit. The meal must have been good. She must be one hell of a woman."

Fitz can't help but grow a wide smile across his face, "I think she is. I really think she is."

"Then don't let her get off that easy," Harrison says as he leaves.

Fitz looks at his phone. He decides to send her a simple text, hoping for a reply.

Fitz: Just sitting here trying to work, thinking about you. Is it too soon to say I miss you? I do. I just want to know if you are okay.

Liv is getting ready to watch a surgery. She sees his text and smiles. She knows exactly how he feels. She can hear Lizzie's words ringing in her ears.

Liv: I've been doing the same thing. I can't stop thinking about you either. I miss you too. We need to talk.

Fitz (nearly jumping out of his skin): Yes we need to talk.

Liv: Going into a surgery. I'll call you later.

Fitz looks at her last text, breathing a sigh of relief. Liv smiles going into surgery. There's a knock at Fitz's door. He says, "Come in."

"Hey, you up for dinner tonight, potential client," Abby asks.

"Not really but how potential are we talking?" Fitz asks.

"Like a company roughly worth $100 million dollars needing our services. You might want to handle this one," Abby says.

He's disappointed he won't be having dinner with Olivia tonight but this will have to do for now. "What's the place?"

"Marea's at 7pm," Abby says.

"Sounds good," Fitz says as Abby closes the door.

It's later on that evening. Liv hasn't had a chance to call Fitz. The day just got busier and busier. Then much to her surprise, she got a blast from the past visitor at work. He wouldn't take no for an answer for they are going out to dinner at Marea's. They are sitting at their table laughing.

"I can't believe you are in town for a little while," Liv says.

"Well, whenever I can take a minute to have dinner with you, I take it."

"Will you ever stop being a charmer, Leo?" Liv asks.

"Of course not. You're still the sexiest thing this side of the Hudson," Leo winks.

Liv throws her head back laughing. "We are not sleeping together."

"Why not? We did before," Leo says pouting.

"It was New Years Eve and we were both very drunk. We kissed and the next thing I know, I am on my back."

"But you had fun," Leo laughs.

"I guess...If I could remember most of it," Liv says.

"There's been no one since New Years," Leo stresses. Liv is laughing when Fitz, who has taken his seat can almost sense her. He coincidentally has a birdseye view of Liv's table and sees her with this man laughing a little bit too hard for his taste.

"And why are you telling me?" Liv asks.

"I am going to assume it's been a year for you too. We both need to take the edge off," Leo winks.

"You know what was going on in my life then. I was 6 months into my break up with Andrew and.."

Fitz can't concentrate on this dinner as he watches this interaction with Liv and this unknown man,

Leo grabs her hand and kisses it and moves to the inside of her wrist, when she pulls back. "Leo.."

"We get along great. Why not make a go of it?" Leo asks.

"I love you to pieces, you know that. We make great friends and that's it. I'm not going into the New Year, the way I went into this one," Liv explains.

"Ouch," Leo says, shaking his head.

"I am not talking about you. Thank you for being there," Liv says putting her hand on top of his. "But it's a new beginning for me and I've met someone.

Leo grabs his chest, as if in pain. "Who is Mr. Right taking you away from me?" He asks moving her hair from in front of her face.

"I honestly think he might be the one."

"Oh hell, you have stars in your eyes. You never had stars with that lump of clay Andrew."

"He's pretty special but there's not much to tell now. It's the beginning but I really like him."

He throws his hands up, "I don't want to hear it. I hate him." This makes Liv laugh and Leo chuckles at her reaction.

On the other end of the room, "Fitz are you with us?" Abby asks.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't know where I was there for a moment. I thought I saw someone I knew," Fitz covers. Abby eyes him. She knows something is up.

He looks over at Liv who is still laughing. There's a little anger that rises in him. He turns to the two men that they are having dinner with and says, "Gentlemen, let me tell you why Grant & Grant is the perfect place for your business."

The rest of the night he was on it. Fitz is best in his element when he's angry and right now he's angry.

"I better let you go home," Leo says.

"You better take me home," Liv laughs. "You stole me from work. So it is your duty to get me home safe."

"Fine! I'll get you home safe," Leo answers. He stops and looks at her. "I am glad you found someone. I never trusted that Andrew. I like seeing you lit up like this. He better treat you right."

"I think he will," Liv smiles.

"Alright let's go. I'm upset. I just spent a hundred bucks for nothing," Leo says looking at the check.

"You are such a jerk," Liv laughs as he pays and then they get up and leave.

Fitz watches the ease on her face with this man. He looks away, clenching his jaw. "Hey you okay?" Abby whispers.

"I am good. I am good." Fitz answers sharply. Fitz looks at the two gentlemen, "So do we have a deal?"

One of the answers, "I think we do. I think we do."

Abby nods her head. "Sounds good. I think this calls for dessert."

Fitz nods in agreement as he can't keep his thoughts anywhere but with Liv and the man she just left with. He can only assume what the rest of the night is going to entail for them. At this moment he feels duped. Maybe he moved too fast. He can't lie, he's hurt and feeling dejected. They close up their deal. The gentleman leaves, leaving Fitz and Abby at the table.

"So what the hell was really happening tonight?" Abby asks.

"We closed the deal didn't we?" Fitz says curtly.

"Yes we did but who was here that had you ready to fight?"

"No one," Fitz says.

"Come on Fitz. You know you can talk to me," Abby stresses.

"I'm fine Abs. I wanna get home. Doctor me a nice glass of Glenlivet and watch some television," Fitz answers.

"Are you sure you are okay?" Abby asks.

Fitz gets up, "Thanks for all your hard work and bringing them to us. See you tomorrow," Fitz says as he leaves completely dodging the question.

Liv makes it home. It was great seeing Leo again. He always knew how to make her laugh for no reason at all except his great sense of humor. She jumps in the shower. She can't wait to talk to Fitz. She was glad about their text earlier. She calls him, waiting for him to answer.

He's doing just as he told Abby he would do, nurses a glass of Glenlivet and watching television. He looks down and sees it's Liv calling and rolls her eyes. He takes a breath and answers. "Hello," he says.

She's surprised. She was waiting for that breathtaking, Hi. Instead she gets a short Hello."

"Hello," she answers.

"What can I do for you Ms. Pope?" Fitz says.

"Are you okay?" Liv asks.

"I'm fine. I'm just tired."

"Well, we said we'd talk earlier. I was gonna call and see if you wanted to talk over dinner but something came up."

"Or someone," Fitz says snarkily.

"What?" Liv says. "How did you?"

"Nothing. I have to go. I have a long day at the office tomorrow and I had a long day today. I need to get some sleep."

Liv is confused and hurt by his attitude, "I thought we were going to talk."

"I don't think we need to," Fitz answers.

"Fitz, what's wrong? I know I shouldn't have avoided you. It's just that…"

"It's okay. Have a good night Olivia!" He hangs up abruptly.

Liv is more than confused. "What just happened?"

She wants to call him back but she knows she needs to give him some space from whatever it is he's upset about. She can't help but think this is partly her fault. She shouldn't have avoided him. She should have told him what was freaking her out. She calls his number a dozen times but never lets the call go through.

It's the next morning. Fitz gets to work, in an obvious bad mood. He hates that he behaved that way. But now he doesn't know what to say to her. Naturally, he's at work in a pissy mood with himself and everyone else. He's slamming papers down on his desk, cursing angrily.

"Whoa, what's got you all mad?" Harrison says.

"Nothing, what do you want Harrison?"

Harrison backs up, "Just wanted to know if we could move that meeting back about an hour."

"No, you need to be there on time. Manage your fucking calendar better."

Harrison is shocked by his response. "Okay!" Harrison turns around to leave.

"Wait Harrison! I am sorry. I was dick last night and I'm being a dick right now, " Fitz says.

Harrison nods as if to agree, "Okay what happened that's got you sticking and moving your dick angrily around right now."

"Abby and I had dinner with clients last night and she was there with some guy," Fitz says.

"Who was there with some guy?"

"The woman...my girl..her," Fitz stutters.

"Oh you mean headcase," Harrison answers.

"Harrison," Fitz corrects with a look.

"Okay, who was this guy?"

"I don't know. They looked pretty chummy. I got pissed. When she called me later, I was a dick."

"And you didn't tell her why you were angry," Harrison says.

"No, I was pissed."

"That was a dick move," Harrison says.

"Thanks a lot Harrison," Fitz says as he falls back on his chair. "I need to make it up to her."

"I have no words of wisdom for this one, especially if you just jumped the gun," Harrison says as he leaves.

Fitz can't figure out what to do. He figures the only thing he can do is extend an olive branch. He calls his secretary and gives her marching orders.

Liv is sitting in the cafeteria having a cup of coffee and a muffin when Marcus walks up.

" We finally meet again," Marcus says.

"I am so sorry I can't stay," Liv laughs.

"Wow, that's a burn. You mean you can't stay a minute," Marcus asks.

"No, seriously. I am just having a quick breakfast before I get to my rotations," Liv says.

"Are you sure we can't have dinner some time?"

"I'm sure but thank you. You know Quinn Perkins, she's first year. She's available," Liv suggests.

"A brush off and another woman suggestion," Marcus laughs.

"I'm sorry. Try not to take it personal," Liv says as she leaves.

Marcus slumps back in his chair. He struck out again.

Liv gets upstairs to see all the nurses on the wing staring at her. She can tell all eyes are on her. "Did I miss something?" She says.

One of the nurses step aside to reveal 3 large bouquets of Lilac arrangements. She doesn't even have to read the card. She thinks she knows who it is from.

Lizzie shows up, "They told me to come see the show. I'm here."

"What does this have to do with me?" Liv fakes innocence.

One of the nurses says, To my Lilac, I need to apologize and I need you to forgive me. I didn't mean to act like an ass. Can we have dinner? Can we try again? - Fitz.

"Who is Lilac?" Another nurse says.

"Who is Fitz?" The other nurse says.

"Fine they are for me. Show is over," Liv says blushing.

Lizzie scoots over, "What happened? He sent you this many flowers."

"Long story short. I think he is upset with me and he should be. I need to make it up to him," Liv says.

"Well then why is your ass still here? Go make it up to this man," Lizzie says.

"I will after my rounds, okay!" Liv says.

"Putting work over everything is what you got you to this moment," Lizzie points out.

"I can't just blow off my rotations," Liv argues.

"Yes you can for something as important as this," Lizzie says as she walks away.

Liv is left in the middle of the floor to think about it.

Fit, Harrison, and Travis are walking out of the conference room. Fitz has no idea that Liv is coming to surprise him. They are on the way to lunch when Harrison stops in his tracks. Travis does as well.

"Damn," Travis says.

"What?" Fitz says.

"Check out that ass," Travis says.

"You mean check out that fine sister," Harrison corrects him.

Fitz looks up from his phone to see what they are drooling about. Liv is reading something on the wall. He knows it is her. His face becomes wide with a smile he can't hide or wipe away.

"Put your tongues back in your mouth and shut up," Fitz says. "This one is mine."

"Oh wait! Is that your little caramel Nadia Comanechi?" Harrison says.

Fitz slaps his shoulder, "Yes so both of you two back off." He walks closer, "Livvie," he says. He doesn't know where it came from. It just rolled off his tongue. She turns to follow his voice. He stops and smiles. "My lucky day."

Liv smiles, unbeknownst to them, everyone is watching. They've never quite seen Fitz like this. "I hope it is both our lucky day," she says holding up a basket. She walks closer to him, "I would very much like to have lunch with you Mr. Grant. Would you have lunch with me?"

"You didn't have to ask," Fitz says. "I am sorry about last night."

"I'm sorry too," Liv says. Before she knows it, he plants a simple kiss on her.

There is the sound of a clearing throat, Fitz and Olivia turn around to see Harrison, "This is a workplace."

They are both blushing, Fitz says, "Olivia this is Harrison Wright, one of our Associates. And this is Travis Murphy, another one of our Associates. Horny gentlemen, this is Olivia Pope and I'm hoping she's off the market," he says bringing her closer to his side.

She smiles, "It's very nice to meet you."

Harrison holds up her hand and kisses it, "I am not ashamed of being horny and appreciating a beautiful and sexy woman when I see one. He doesn't deserve you." Liv can't help but laugh and blush. Fitz smacks him away.

Travis speaks up, "It's very nice to meet you Ms. Pope. If you get tired of this boring guy, let me know."

Liv decides she's comfortable enough to play with them, "He's anything but boring. He has some assets he knows how to use," she says as begs for his lips. "Especially these." Fitz is beet red now.

"Ohhhhhh," Harrison says. "I like her."

"Enough, I'll catch up with you all later," he begs them away as he shows her to his office. She walks around looking at his humongous space. The awards that adorn his walls. He has so many pictures with clients and newspaper articles. He just watches her every move.

"This is beautiful," she says. He doesn't say anything. He's just staring at her. She turns to see his face.

"Are you just going to stand there?" she asks.

"Yes. I want to make sure you are real," Fitz answers.

Liv can't help but blush, "I am real." The basket is sitting on the couch. "How about I lay out our blanket?"

"Perfect! Do you need anything? I have a fridge in here and emergency things like sparkling water and all that," Fitz says.

"I hope you don't mind. I got a bottle of champagne here," Liv says as she spreads the blanket on the floor.

"What about the hospital? You have to get back to work I'm sure," Fitz says a little apprehensive.

"No, I took the rest of the afternoon off," Liv answers.

"How about I take the rest of the afternoon off?" Fitz says.

"I can't ask you to do that," Liv smiles.

"My name is on the door. I can do what I want," he reminds her as he watches her lay the food out perfectly.

Liv looks up smiling, "I would love that," she says begging for his hand to join her on the blanket. She looks around. "Should we take off our shoes?" He shrugs his shoulders and agrees. They take off their shoes and begin to eat.

"Livvie, I am sorry about last night."

"You don't have to apologize. I supposed I deserved it for how I've been acting the last couple days," Liv starts.

"I thought you were with him," Fitz says sadly under his breath.

"What?..Who?" Liv asks, confused.

"The guy last night. The guy you were at dinner with," Fitz clarifies.

"Leo," Liv says, even more confused. Then she realizes what he says. "How did you know I had dinner with Leo?"

"I was having a work dinner last night. We snagged a big client. It was at Marea's," Fitz explains.

"Fitz I'm sorry and Leo, he's just a friend. He showed up at the hospital begging to take me to dinner. He was only in town for the next couple of nights."

"I overreacted. I don't know your friends yet and you don't know mine. I just saw this man who was making you laugh and kissing your hand. I was jealous and upset. I figured that is why you were avoiding me."

"He's not why I was avoiding you. I'll be honest with you, Leo and I had a brief, very brief, fling but we were always just great friends. I told him I met someone who I was hoping would be it for me," Liv says caressing his face.

"I just wanted it to be me sitting there, making you laugh...nibbling your skin. I can't stop thinking about the other night. It felt right. It felt perfect. I just…"

"And that's the problem for me. It felt right and perfect and so good. I got to work and I couldn't concentrate. All I could think about was you and what you did to me. And how I wanted so much more and it scared the hell out of me," Liv admits.

"Why would it scare you? Love has no set timing," Fitz says.

"I just...I've been so used to leaving men at arms length and making my love life, my work. That's why my engagement failed. I told you about my mother and why I chose Cardiology. I just feel like that's something I can do to make sense of her death for me."

Fitz lifts up, "Livvie, I don't want to stop you from following your dreams. If we are together, your dreams are my dreams. I want to love you and build a life with you, not change you."

"How can you want all of that so soon?" Liv smiled.

"Because I know magic when I see it and this is magic. I know I'm not wrong," Fitz answers.

"Fitz..I…"

He lifts her chin. Her eyes are meeting his, "If you think we are moving too fast, I get it. I don't want to scare you away from my arms. I want you in my arms. So, if we have to slow down then we slow down."

"I want the same things you want. I am not used to people I love staying. My mother didn't stay. My father left. I can't…"

He reaches in and kisses her, "I am not leaving. I'm never going to decide that being somewhere is best for me. You are worth it and I'll never stop showing you that."

"I could be insane and you are pledging devotion to me," Liv shakes her head. She hates herself for crying.

"I could be insane too," Fitz laughs. She brings her finger to his lips, tracing them.

"You are going to be the end of me Fitzgerald Grant."

"I'd much rather be the beginning," he responds with a sweeping kiss that lays her on her back. The kiss grows wild and passionate. Their lips are melded and their tongues are dueling. She's never been happier that she wore a dress. His head starts traveling down her stomach.

"Fitz we are in your office," Liv says flustered.

"We sure are," Fitz says as he continues down her body. "I plan to finish my lunch."

"What if someone walks in?" Fitz gets up, locking the door. He reaches for her hand. "Where are we going?" She asks. He lifts her up to the desk as she gasps. "Fitz we can't," she says as she begins to lick her neck peppering kisses all over it.

"I want to taste you again," Fitz says.

"We can't right here," Liv giggles as he is kissing her breast. He lifts her ass from the desk, pulling her panties away.

"You want me to stop," Fitz asks as he brings his two fingers inside of her. She collapses a little more on the desk, throwing her head back. "I don't think you do," Fitz says. Her pool of honey is wet for him. She begins to ride his fingers as nudges deeper and deeper inside of her. "You feel so good," he utters as she rides him hard. He quickly removes his hand. A guttural growl escapes her lips.

"What are you doing?" She says angrily.

"I told you I'm finishing my lunch," he says as he drops to his knees, lifting her dress. She drapes her legs over his shoulder. Her boot heels pressing into his flesh.

She's clawing the desk, "Fitz...hurry!" She says as he blows on her core and then peppers kisses all around her center. Each time teasing her lips with a lick. She licks her lips, "Mmmm" she moans.

Before she can utter another sound he dives his lips into her warm liquid center, moaning from taste. She's resting on her elbows, watching his head bob up and down on her as he begins to lick her hard and forcefully. Thank goodness for this Presidential like desk that she lays on, giving her the strength she needs to be held up.

"Mmmmm," he moans as he licks around her bundle of nerves and then attacks with a suck so forceful she squeals and cries all at the same time.

"Oh God, right there. Don't stop….don't stop!" she begs as she pushes his head further into her. He spreads her lips with his fingertips as he sucks her juices. She grips the desk, as she feels like everything below her waist has abandoned her. She's shivering from the flat of his tongue licking her like she was an ice cream scoop. She's moaning louder and louder. She remembers where they are, throwing her hand around her mouth to muffle the sounds.

He grabs her ass, pulling it closer to the edge. The feels of his massaging her walls with his lips and tongue is throwing her so far over the edge. She wants to scream bloody murder. He's licking her dry. Her eyes are rolling back in her head as he increases the speed of his lick. "Fitz I'm..I'm…" Before she can finish, she releases. That doesn't stop him for pleasuring her through her climax. He drinks all of cascading glory as she shakes and moans. Her legs feel like jelly. He appears from under her dress, admiring his work.

She's licked off her lipstick. She's been pulling at her clothes. Her chest is heaving up and down. She's out of breath. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. "I can't move," she announces.

"Don't move," he says as he goes to his bathroom. She hears him run some water. He comes back out with a warm washcloth and cleans her up. She feels swollen and tender. The warm press feels good. "How was that?"

"Better than amazing," Liv sys.

"Go away with me this weekend?" Fitz says.

"What?" Liv says as he picks her up bringing them to his chair, placing her on his lap.

"I know we are going out for New Years but let's go away together for the week. Just you and me. We can talk more.." He's hoping she'll say yes.

"Yes," she answers quickly.

"Are you serious?" Fitz says.

"Yes. I am serious. They gave me the weekend off since I came in on Christmas night and worked on my days off. I get New Years off."

"Perfect," Fitz says as he kisses her.

"Where are we going?"

"That my beautiful Lilac is a surprise," he says as he draws her in tighter, kissing her. "New Year...New Beginning."
