Liv and Fitz are in the backseat of his car. Tom is driving. They are itching closer and closer to their destination. Fitz still hasn't told Liv where they are going. Liv is staring at Fitz as they hold hands. He almost seems like he can't be real even though she knows he is.

"I'm not that good to look at," Fitz says with a smirk.

"I'm not so sure about that. I think you look pretty damn good to me," Liv laughs.

"My ego will never get tired of your boost," Fitz says squeezing her hand. He looks at her, "Tell me what's on your mind before we get to our secret location."

"Nothing is on my mind," Liv says quickly.

"You aren't fooling me Ms. Pope. What's on your mind?"

"I know we've talked about this and kind of failed at it but…"

"But you really want us to slow things down," Fitz interrupts.

"How did you?..."

"Listen, I plan for you to be in my life. I plan for us to have a relationship and how we go about this is as important to me as it is to you," Fitz says.

"Well, I know we are going away this weekend and we are going to.."

"Have separate rooms," Fitz surprises.

"We are."

"We are."

"Fitz, I know I'm kind of sending mixed messages. I know I want you. I am more than attracted to you and I don't regret anything we've done but…"

"But you don't want us to get so swept up in our obvious passion that we miss what's important."

"Yes! I hope that doesn't disappoint you," Liv says.

He brings her hand up to his lips and kisses it, "No, I am not disappointed because that tells me that whatever it is we have is important to you. That's all I need. I may have tasted the sweet nectar but you and I haven't made love and when we do…. It's going to be special and right and perfect."

"With Leo, he's such a good friend and we have a great time. We got caught up in the start of the new year and everything that brings and we slept together. I regret it because that's a line we crossed and it just opened a can of worms for us and now with you, I just.."

"You don't have to explain. I just wanted us to have a great time. Have a different change of scenery to just be. That is all I want is for us to just be. That's also why I booked us two separate rooms."

Liv shuffles in her seat to face him, "You did."

"I did."

"That's perfect," Liv laughs.

"Why is it funny?"

"Because I had this whole conversation in my head of how we would discuss sleeping in the same bed with a pillow between us. No touching, no petting, no kissing," Liv smiles.

"None of those apply to us," Fitz smirks.

"I know but...this is better," she chuckles and then looks at him. "I've never dated a Prince before. What is this going to be like?"

"I am not a prince," Fitz argues.

"You are pretty close to it."

"Well Princess, this is going to be the greatest fairytale ever told. Girl meets boy and boy meets girl. They are probably already in love but it's too soon to tell it. They only have eyes for each other and their hearts are already connected. Down the line, he's going to propose to her. They are going to get married in this beautiful, yet quaint affair. They are going to have a house full of princes and princesses and live happily ever after."

"Are you a writer?" Liv smiles.

"No but those words came from my heart," Fitz smiles. And I meant every word," Fitz finishes.

"Okay My Prince, so where are we going?" Liv asks.

"We are almost there," Fitz answers as he gently pecks her lips. She snuggles onto his shoulder as they keep riding.

The car pulls off on the exit as Liv sees the sign, Crystal Springs Resort this way!

"I've always wanted to steal away here. Is that where we are going?" Liv says.

"That's where we are going!" Fitz smiles. "It's the perfect time to go. We can do some skiing, indoor swimming and there's a mineral pool. We have so many options," Fitz explains.

"I love options," Liv smiles.

"Before we get here, thank you for agreeing to come with me," Fitz says.

"You don't have to thank me," Liv answers.

"Livvie, I've never taken a chance like this. Everything in my life was orderly. Dare I say conservative. After Karen died those things didn't matter. Life can be messy. Love can be even messier. If her death taught me anything is that you can't stop time. You can't stop death. You have to live life until you can't," Fitz says with a sadness in his eyes but a smile.

The car stps and Liv looks around.

"It's absolutely beautiful," Liv says looking around.

"Let's get this getaway started," Fitz says as Tom opens the door for him. He rushes over to Liv's side to let her out.

They get checked in. Fitz had that room reserved to be across the hall from each other.

They make it to their rooms. Liv notices he's reserved two junior suites. "I can't wait to check this place out."

"This weekend will be one you've never had before. Before you get in your room, all I have to say is. Please follow directions," he says mysteriously.

"Follow directions...what do you mean?" Liv says confused.

"You'll see," he says as he winks as he turns to open his door.

"Wait we haven't talked about what we are going to do," Liv says quickly.

"You'll know," Fitz smirks as he goes in.

Liv puts in her key and goes into her room. She pulls in her bag, the doors shut behind her. She's stopped in her tracks by the picture before her. There's two bouquets of flowers waiting for her. They are purple roses and lilacs perfectly arranged. One another table a tray with appointed snacks. She's like a kid in the candy store. She runs over to read the note.

This weekend is going to be special because we are going to embark on a new journey together. I may overwhelm you but it's only because I want you to know that you've totally captivated my thoughts and you pull at my heartstrings. I hope this weekend leads to memories we can build on. Now, dinner is at 7pm sharp. I'll meet you downstairs.

Liv looks around the room and then out of the window at the beautiful slopes. They almost look majestic. She looks at her watching, realizing she has 6 hours to kill. She sends him a quick text.

Liv: What are we going to do until dinner?

Fitz: It's up to you or we can do nothing at all. Tomorrow we have a big day planned.

Liv: Do I get to know the details?

Fitz: No, you don't!

Liv: I think I am going to take a nap.

Fitz: Sleep tight sleeping beauty.

She stares at the phone. So he's gonna play cat and mouse with her. She thinks she's going to enjoy this. She looks through her bag. She almost packed everything but the kitchen sink because she couldn't figure out what to pack. She's definitely not out of options. She decides on an outfit and she decides to call the one person who will calm her nerves.

Grandma Alice picks up, "Hello my little Sweet Potato."

"Grandma, I told you not to call me that."

"I can call you what I want," she answers. "What's going on? Have you and the President made it to your little getaway?"

"Grammy, he is not a President," Liv stresses, shaking her head.

"Whatever," she says rolling her eyes.

"Yes, we made it. My room is beautiful," Liv says looking around.

"Separate rooms, okay!"

"Grandma, I really like him. I mean I really like him and I've been so caught up that I haven't let my feet touch the ground. I am doing it now," Liv starts.

"I know and passion is passion. I had it for your grandfather. When we first got married I was always on my back. How do you think I got your mother and your aunts and uncles?"

"Grammy, I didn't need to know all that and Fitz and I aren't married yet. So…"

"Well, I know what you are feeling. I know why you want to take a step back."

"A little late for thinking with my head and not my body," Liv laughs.

"Sweet Potato, I believe this man is the one. You don't know what your voice sounds like when you talk about him. Or, what your face looks like when you talk about him. I saw it. I hear it. He's going to be the one and I can't wait for you to bring him home to meet me so I can size him out."

"I'm not bringing him anywhere near the Wallace household," Liv protests with laughter.

"You will or I will never forgive you," Grandma Alice finishes.

"I love you so much Grammy," Liv says, getting teary.

"I love you too baby. I want you to be happy and I have a feeling you are finally getting your happiness. Grab it," she says.

"If I don't talk to you tomorrow, Happy New Year!"

Grandma Alice smiles, "Happy New Year and be safe," she laughs.

Liv shakes her head and hangs up. She has to admit that her curiosity is getting the best of her. She wonders what Fitz is up to as he purposely keeps his distance. Her mind is spinning wheels.

Fitz is in his room. He's met with one of the concierge people that was in charge of planning their romantic evening. He's now on the phone with his cousin, Daphne, who affectionately calls his sister. His parents took her in when his Uncle and Aunt died in a car crash when she was 8.

"What are you doing knucklehead?" Daphne asks.

"Well I don't want to overwhelm her. I know she's scared. Hell, I am scared too. But I know she's the one."

"Then don't be scared," Daphne says.

"Well..I mean…"

"Okay, so you all had a little fun already. That's okay. I can't wait to meet her. I love hearing you talk about her. And I am so glad she's replacing that Amanda Tanner. You two dated 2 months too long. I knew she was fucking crazy," Daphne says.

"Hey, watch your mouth little woman," Fitz scolds.

"I've heard you say worse," Daphne laughs.

"Okay, my little cousin was right, she was crazy."

"No, she was fucking crazy," Daphne repeats.

Fitz can't help but laugh sporadically. "You are going to like Olivia, I promise."

"I already know I am," Daphne says. "So, what's the plan for this weekend?"

"Well tonight I have a romantic dinner set up for us. This is technically the first date."

"Okay and then…"

"Then I'll be a gentleman. I'll take her back to her room. I'll kiss her goodnight. Dream about her and then tomorrow, we'll go skiing and then soak in the mineral springs, and then I have a dinner set up for us on my balcony. I made sure we could watch the fireworks."

Daphne is silent for a minute, "Okay that all sounds good. It all sounds romantic."

"But…," Fitz says.

"I don't know. I am trying to figure out what might be missing," Daphne says.

"Nothing is missing. Everything is planned to a science," Fitz defends.

"Did you get her a gift?" Daphne asks.

"No, I didn't get her a gift. Don't you think it's too soon for that," Fitz says.

"I am not telling you to get her an engagement ring. Just a token of something. I am just talking about something simple," Daphne explains.

"You think I should," Fitz says.

"Yes you doofus. I think you should. So, get off the phone with me and go find a gift," Daphne says.

"I love you! You know that."

"I know, now bye and send me pictures," she instructs as she hangs up.

Fitz never even thought of a present. He grabs a coat and zips up and goes out of his door, only to be met by Olivia coming out of her room. "Hi!" Fitz says.

"Hi!" She smiles.

"Umm, how is the room? How did I do?"

"You did great," Liv says. "The room is beautiful. Thank you so much for the flowers and for the note."

"I am glad you liked it," Fitz says, reaching for her hand. "I want this weekend to be perfect."

"It will be," Liv says. "Where are you off to? Can I tag along?"

"Actually, I was going to..," he stops himself. "Sure. I just need to stop at the concierge desk before we go. I think there are some trails we can walk."

"Okay sounds great," she beams.

"Where were you off to?" Fitz asks.

"Well, honestly, I was going to knock on your door and beg for your company," she laughs, bashfully.

"You'll never have to beg me for anything..unless it's behind closed doors," Fitz winks.

She slaps his arm, turning him a bow face. "Let's go!"

Fitz stops at the concierge and speaks to them privately and he and Liv go on their little walk around the property. It was the perfect thing to take the edge off, even though they shouldn't be nervous with each other at all. Tonight is going to be great.

Fitz is standing in front of her door. He hasn't knocked yet. He's fixing his tie. He's smoothing his hair. He's nervous as hell. He shakes his hand, while holding one single red rose.

"Okay Grant! You can do this," he says. He starts to knock on the door when she opens.

They both start to laugh, "I couldn't wait," she says.

Fitz is staring at her. She's wearing a creme off the shoulder cashmere sweater with creme colored pants and gold heels. He's staring at her. She whispers his name. He finally speaks, "You look beautiful."

"You don't look so bad yourself," she smiles. She looks down at his hands, "Is that for me?"

"What?" Fitz says. He looks down at his hand, "Yes," he answers passing her the single rose.

She brings it up to her nose, "Perfect."

He holds out his hand, "Shall we?"

"Yes," she smiles. They walk hand in hand down the corridor to the restaurant for their dinner.

They arrive at the Crystal Tavern and are immediately taken to their table that has a perfect view of the mountains. Fitz stops the waiting from sitting Liv so he can do it. He reaches down and gently kisses her shoulder blade. This makes Liv blush.

"I couldn't help it," Fitz says as he takes a seat.

"I am not complaining," Liv smiles.

"I mean what I said. You look stunning tonight," he says.

"I can't tell you how many times I changed my outfit. I bought too many outfits and as I kept changing outfits, I realized I didn't bring enough," she chuckles.

"I am so glad you went with this one. It brings out your eyes," Fitz suggests.

"Would you stop?" she drops her head, a little shy.

"I cannot tell a lie," Fitz says.

"How many times did you change your tie?" Liv asks.

"How did you know?"

"Men usually can figure out the suit and the shirt but the tie. The tie pick is like a damn orchestra," she laughs.

"That's the truth," he answers. He lifts the tie a little, "Did I pick well?"

"Yes you did."

The waiter comes by taking their drink order. Fitz watches as Liv looks at the wine menu. She picks a very good glass of red wine. Fitz decides he'll have red wine with her. He finally suggests they just bring them a bottle.

"So, I really enjoyed our walk today," Liv says.

"So did I. Who knew walking in the cold could be so much fun."

"This property is bigger than I thought. There is so much here. I am thinking about taking a swim in the mineral pool in the morning," Liv says.

"That sounds good. I want you to enjoy yourself," Fitz says.

Liv looks at him a little bemused. "I would enjoy it more if you join me."

"I would love to," Fitz says. "The chance to see you in a swimsuit."

"Are you going to stay away from me all weekend?" Liv asks.

"Of course not but if I am around you too much, I can't promise that I will behave myself," Fitz reveals. Liv's cheeks become red.

The waiter returns with the bottle of wine and glasses. Fitz instructs that he will pour. They toast to the night.

"Well we have been to 3rd base," Liv laughs.

"Which is exactly why this is a test of my will," Fitz explains as he licks his lips. "This is delicious. You have good taste in wine."

"Well, my dad may not be much of a dad but heis a very good wine aficionado," Liv explains. "He introduced me to reds and whites but I found I have attraction to reds."

"So glad I made the cut then," Fitz winks.

Liv is confused by the joke at first. Then she realizes what he is saying, "Oh my God! I can't believe you just said that."

They are both laughing, "Corny joke success," he says. "What were you like as a kid?"

"I learned better corny jokes," Liv laughs.

"Wounded," Fitz says, patting his chest.

"Well I was always a nerd. I always had my head in a book. I read about everything and I will admit my biggest weakness was sometimes, romance novels."

"You, Miss soon to be Doctor of Cardiology, loves romance novels," Fitz laughs.

Liv slaps her head, "Yes and really cheesy ones but it's like a decompress for me. I don't know, I loved hanging out with my mom. I loved wearing heels and dressing up in her clothes but doesn't every little girl with her mom. And I loved to bake with her. I'm not the best cook in the world but I can make a mean strawberry shortcake," she finishes.

"I love strawberries. I think that's why I like you so much," Fitz says.

Liv is confused again until she realizes what he means, "I can't believe you." Fitz winks at her when the waiter returns to get their order. They order their food. Liv takes a sip of her wine. "What were you like as a child?"

"I was precocious, argumentative, and curious," Fitz says.

"You were a lawyer even as a child," Liv laughs.

"I guess so. And if you told me no, I needed a good answer why. I always weighed the pros and the cons of everything. My brother was more the troublemaker and he didn't care about answers. He just wanted to do what he did."

"What made you get into Intellectual Property Law?" Liv asks.

"You remembered," Fitz smiles.

"Of course."

"Well, my father specializes, ironically, in Medical Law. He loves it. I just kind of stumbled into it. The more classes I took, the more I liked it. But father wanted to have a presence here on the East Coast and so we thought we'd have a firm specializing in Divorce Law, Property Law, and Medical Law."

"Very profitable," Liv says.

"Yes it is. My dad is a very smart man and I better be, I'm his namesake."

"It's a very sexy name," Liv smiles.

"Are you calling my dad sexy," Fitz laughs.

"Well, I am going to assume he is," she winks. Fitz just turns beet red. "So what's the agenda for tomorrow after my mineral swim, our mineral swim?"

"Well, I already had something planned and it looks like I'm on the right track. Let's go skiing. I thought we would come back and just have drinks and then dinner to ring in the new year. What do you think?"

"That sounds amazing. I'll get to see you in tight jeans," Liv says.

"You don't play fair ," Fitz says with a playful headshake.

"Well I haven't seen your assets, the right jeans can give me some idea," Liv explains.

"Sexy and flirtatious, I won't complain," Fitz says.

They sit and have their dinner, chatting about any and everything. They share their food, giving each other bites. They are now sharing dessert.

"I don't have Sunday all that planned. How about we do brunch and we just wing it?" Fitz suggested.

"That sounds great to me. I just want to spend time with you. That's all!"

Fitz brings her hand up to his lips, "That's all I want." He's still holding her hand tightly, "There's a wine cellar down stairs. How about we go down there after dinner and have a nightcap?"

"This is already the best first date..well second date I've ever had," Liv says.

"That was the plan," Fitz smiles.

They go down to the wine cellar and have a nightcap. They are walking back to their rooms, walking hand in hand again. They can't seem to hold hands tight enough.

"Did you really enjoy tonight?" Fitz asks as they get closer to the door.

"I really did. I hate it has to end," Liv smiles.

Fitz starts talking to, looking in the air, "Self control...self control."

She hits him, "Would you kiss before I attack you?" She asks.

He looks at her a little surprised. But he loves that she's let her guard down more with him. "Is that the spiced rum you drank talking," Fitz asks.

"No that's my raging loins," Liv says.

Fitz burst into laughter which made her laugh. Then they both remember, they could be disturbing the peace. "I think I can fulfill that request," Fitz says as he reaches down and begins to kiss softly. It's tender and it's slow. Fitz moans when she sucks his tongue. He's holding her tightly in his arms. Her purse drops to the floor. They are moaning and cupping the feels of each other's body. A guest passes buy, clearing their throat.

They both stop kissing and hold their heads together. "We have to say goodnight," Fitz says.

"Goodnight," Liv says breathlessly. She hands him her key and he opens the door for her. She walks in. She softly says it again, "Goodnight!"

He puts a soft kiss on her, "Goodnight."

She closes the door. She leans on it, touching her lips. He gently runs his fingers across the door and he goes in his room. She's not sure why she tingles all over with this man, she just knows he's stolen her heart. He walks in his room, knowing quite possibly, that he's falling in love with Olivia Pope.

It's the next morning. Liv is introducing her to her other love. He has no idea she loves this as much as she does. They walk down together to the mineral pool. It's indoors and the perfect picture of serenity and great for a morning dip. She's hoping her one piece that she bought is going to turn his head. She disrobes and suddenly there's silence. She walks over to dip her foot in.

"It's perfect!," Liv says.

Fitz is enjoying every curve of her ass in this one piece that is fitting her in all the right places, "Yes it is," he utters.

"Fitz," she smirks, as she turns around. "Are you coming in?"

"I'd like to watch you for a little while," he says.

"Okay, suit yourself," she says as she wades herself into the water. It's like watching a mermaid.

He watches as her body disappears into the water. He watches her. She looks so at ease. He watches as she picks up speed and just swims around. She emerges at the surface of the water. He's now moving into the water to meet her. He gets to her. "Hi," he says.

"Hi," she smiles.

"You didn't tell me that you were an Olympic Swimmer and Skater," Fitz laughs.

"I'm neither but I did swim also in high school," Liv says.

"You know Harrison called you my Caramel Nadia Comanechi," he says pulling her closer to him.

"I'm definitely not a gymnast," Liv laughs.

He looks down at her wet form as the waters wave across her body, "She was a perfect 10. You are definitely a perfect 10." He palms her ass, bringing her into a kiss. The kiss grows passionate.

Liv stops him, "People are staring at us."

"I really don't give a damn," Fitz says as he goes in for another kiss.

They spend another hour in the water. They decide to have breakfast, lounging right by the water. They stick to the plan and they go back and shower and change clothes and get ready for their ski adventure.

They find themselves in the same position they were in the first night they officially met. He is lacing up her shoes so they can get ready to hit the slopes. That feeling is there, that was there the first night. The passion they feel. The burning in their belly. Only this time, they know each other. They only have eyes for each other.

"Are you about to embarrass me on these slopes?" Fitz asks.

"Why would I embarrass you?" Liv laughs.

"Because you might be an Olympic skier too. I mean first it's Ice Skating and you are an Olympic swimmer. What other hidden talents do you have?"

"Oh I have many….you'll just have to find out what they are," she grins.

He finishes her last shoe. Reaching up to her, giving her a kiss, "I certainly can't wait to find out."

"What about you? Are there some hidden talents I should know about? I mean one is not hidden but…"

"You'll just have to wait to find out," he gives back.

"You stinker," Liv says as he gets her up and they head out to the slopes.

After 2 hours of skiing they come back to the room. They take showers in their room to change clothes. Fitz is about to put on his shirt, he's just got out of the shower, when there is a knock at the door. He is thinking it is concierge with his request. He just opens the door.

Liv takes a breath, "Hi," she says nearly drooling.

"Hi, I thought you were….nevermind. Hi," he finishes.

"I wanted to see if you wanted to go for a walk with me. I know we have a little bit more time before dinner," Liv explains trying to fixate on his 8 pack and the water droplets sticking to him.

He knows she likes what she sees, so he moves his pecks a little. He wants to laugh. "I would love that." He moves to find his shirt, "How about I finish getting dressed? I'll meet you downstairs."

"I can wait," Liv says. God knows she doesn't want to wait.

"Well, I have to make a business call," he says, hating to lie. "I'll be right down, I promise."

"Okay," Liv says, feeling like there is something he is hiding from her. She goes to the door to leave when the concierge knocks. "Is this who you thought was at the door before?"

"Most likely concierge," Fitz says nonchalantly. Fitz opens the door to see it is concierge. "Hello," Fitz says.

Liv looks at him, "I'll be downstairs,"as she moves past the concierge.

Fitz closes the door, hoping she's not suspicious. "Is it ready?" Fitz says to the concierge.

"It's ready sir," he answers.

"It has to be right. I don't have time to change it," Fitz says as the concierge passes him the bag.

"They said it's exactly what you wanted," the concierge says .

Fitz pulls the little box out of the bag, he opens the top to look at it. There is a smile that moves wide across his face. He looks up, "It's exactly what I wanted," he says turning it to the concierge to see it.

"It's beautiful."

"Thank you so much for helping me with this," Fitz says as he hands him something.

"What is this?"

"This is my appreciation," Fitz says.

The concierge looks surprised, "Thank you so much sir!"

"I better get downstairs, a very beautiful woman is waiting for me," Fitz says beaming as he puts on his sweater and the concierge leaves.

He gets downstairs to Liv who is holding something hot in her hand. "Are you ready?" she says.

"I am."

"Did you get your call done?" Liv asks.

Fitz looks confused. "What phone call?" Then he realizes the question, "Yes, I did." He reaches over and kisses her, "Let's take a walk!"

They walk hand in hand to travel the trail.

It's later on that night, New Year's Eve night. They are sitting at their candlelight dinner that overlooks the slopes. Fitz has planned the whole evening.

"We are having a 5 course dinner. Can we eat all of that?" Liv asks.

"I bought us the Falling In Love package," Fitz announces.

Liv stops sipping her wine, "Falling in love," she repeats.

"Well, it comes with a 5 course dinner. We can take a couples massage tomorrow and a few other perks," Fitz explains. Liv still hasn't spoken. She's just staring at him. Not staring at him in a weird way. It was more loving. "What's wrong?" Fitz asks.

"Do you think we are falling in love?" Liv asks.

"That's the only way I can describe what I feel."

"What do you feel?" Liv asks.

Fitz sits back in his chair, letting go of her hand. He wants to be able to explain everything he's feeling this moment. "I feel everything." He looks at her. "I know it doesn't make sense but I feel everything."

"I'm scared of what I am feeling," Liv says lightly.

"I know how you feel," Fitz says.

"Do you?" Liv shakes her head, taking a breath. "I feel like I'm losing my mind. I feel like you are that missing piece of me that I just realized was missing. My heart tells me I'm falling for you but my head tells me it's too soon."

He takes her hand again, "That's exactly how I feel but what I told you when we first kissed was the truth. It all feels right."

"You felt this with your ex-wife didn't you? You felt that it was right."

"To be honest, I was happy with Mel but I never felt like I couldn't live without her," Fitz answers. He takes a long breath after he says it. His honesty with Liv and himself in this moment is jarring to him.

"And me," Liv says cautiously.

"You are the dream. You are the person who was in my dreams that I looked for and called for and right before I could see your face, you'd disappear. You are no longer that reoccurring dream that I woke up too soon from," Fitz says.

Liv immediately has tears in her eyes, "I just don't want to give you my heart and one day you decide to leave with it."

"If you give me your heart, I promise you, only death can take you from me."

Through her tears, she lets out a laugh. "I want us to live first."

He reaches over the table, wiping her tears away. "We will have the best life."

Liv kisses the inside of his hand, "So what does this mean?"

"Will you welcome the new year with me as my girlfriend?" He laughs. "I feel like I'm back in high school but if that's what it takes." She can't find the words, only letting the tears fall. She shakes her head yes. "Let me make this official," he says reaching in his pocket.

"I thought we just made it official," Liv says, a little confused.

"Not yet," Fitz says as he pulls a box out of his pocket.

"What is this?" Liv asks.

"Open it," Fitz says.

"You didn't have to buy me a present."

"I didn't but I wanted to and I did," Fitz answers.

Liv opens it to find a sterling silver necklace with a diamond crusted lilac stem hanging. "Fitz, I love it."

"If you don't love it, you can be honest."

"I love it," she says.

"Can I?" He asks, wanting to put it on her. She nods as he gets up and puts it on her. He gently reaches down and kisses her neck.

Liv giggles, "People are looking at us."

"I told you, I don't give a damn. They get to see how romance is really done," Fitz answers. He then whispers in her ear, "Will you dance with me?"

"I will," she says as he steps in front of her, reaching for hand.

They walk to the dance floor and begin to dance. The song playing that begins to play is, Too Much Heaven by the Bee Gees. The song is playing and Liv looks up at Fitz smiling. Fitz says, "Perfect timing," he smiles.

Oh you and me girl

Got a lot of love in store

And it flows through you

And it flows through me

And I love you so much more

Then in my life, I can see beyond forever

Everything we are will never die

Loving such a beautiful thing

Oh you make my world, a summer day

"I'm ready," she says.

"For what?" Fitz asks.

"Everything," Liv smiles.

Fitz begins to kiss her. Once again, they forget their surroundings. They finish out the song and return to their seats. They have dessert. The restaurant has passed out New Year's hats and paraphernalia. Everyone is receiving a glass of champagne. Everyone is chatting and waiting for the infamous countdown. That moment arrives and the countdown is screaming Happy New Year!

Liv and Fitz are engaged in each other's lips as confetti flies and fireworks light up the sky. They finally break away.

"Happy New Year," Fitz says.

"Happy New Year," Liv smiles.

"It's going to be amazing," Fitz says.

"I know it is," Liv answers as she kisses him again.

"There's something special waiting in the room for us. It comes with the package," Fitz says.

"Oh is there? What might that be?" Liv asks.

"It's a surprise," Fitz says kissing her nose "And we can celebrate alone and make out without so many eyes on us."

"Make out. Is that all we are going to do?" Liv asks.

"We play it by ear."

"Let's go," she says quickly.

They make their way upstairs. Fitz opens the door to find champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for them. Liv's purse is buzzing.

"Who would be calling me now?" Liv says.

"Don't answer it. Just call them in the morning," Fitz suggests.

"I don't know, I think maybe I should answer it," Liv says.

Fitz is uncorking the wine, he agrees reluctantly she should answer it. "Okay!"

Liv pulls out her phone that has stopped ringing. She sees the missed number is from her cousin. She gets a bad feeling. Fitz can see Liv's shaking before she dials the number. He puts the bottle down going to her. "Angela, what's wrong?" Liv says.

Her cousin Angela is on the other end, "Grandma, she had a heart attack."

"She what," Liv says, almost dropping the phone.

"We were in the kitchen and she...It was scary Liv. We are at the hospital."

"Is she alive?" Liv says.

"Yes, she is. They are in there. When can you get here?" Angela asks.

"I'll be there as soon as I can. We will be there soon," Liv says as she hangs up.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Fitz asks.

"My Grammy, she had a heart…." Liv stops gasping. She can barely let out the words. "A heart attack."

"Let's go. I can have my jet get us. Let me see what I can do," Fitz says.

Liv is shaking, "I need to pack."

"You go pack and I'll get everything set up," Fitz says. Liv rushes to the door. Fitz grabs her, "Everything is going to be okay."

Liv is in tears now. Fitz takes her in his arms. "I can't lose her. She's always been there."

"I know. I know. It's going to be okay."

After many tears, Liv calms down enough to pack. She and Fitz rush to get to Rochester as soon as they can.
