Sometime In The Middle Of The Night On The Day Before The Resort: Frieza's Ship
"Father, when are we going to find another planet. I need to let off some steam again," Ize growled, his tone obviously exposing a sense of frustration. But, who could blame him. During the past two days they have traveled from planet to planet only to have the same thing happen over and over again. They show up, Ize exits the ship and challenges the entire race's military force only to discover that they weren't even worth his time. In the end, he'd just blow up the rock and move onto the next one with little progress made on satisfying his needs. This lust for battle and desire to unleash his rage was eerily familiar but Frieza couldn't quite put a dot on what it could be compared to.
The galactic emperor sighed and rested his elbow in his chair, "Be patient my dear son. We will be arriving on another planet shortly.".
"Tch, it better be a good one this time. The last one literally died from just a few measly finger taps," Ize muttered, quite literal in his claim.
Berryblue cleared her throat, assisting lord Frieza in his struggles to raise his son, "It is to be expected lord Ize. You are the product of your father after all and your power is an anomaly to even the strongest in your race. There aren't many that can rival you in power.". Ize glared at the woman but didn't make so much of a response since she was complimenting him as well as the strange aura that allowed her to be on Frieza's lenient side easing his anger.
She smiled and then looked up to her master, "Now, I would like to inform you that your recon troops that you sent to Earth have finally located all seven dragon balls and are waiting for your arrival.".
"Dragon balls? What are those, father?" Ize asked, curious as to what they are and why his father would desire them so much.
Frieza chuckled at his ignorance, "They are orbs capable of making wishes. I'll gather them to fulfill my desires.".
"Desires such as immortality?" Ize assumed, seeing how his father was the emperor after all.
However, the attendant present merely laughed at that assumption, "No, he wants to be five centimeters taller is all.". The son of Frieza stood dumbfounded before looking up at his father with a quizzical look on his face. Out of all the wishes he could want, it was one that would make him taller.
"But why? Wouldn't immortality be far better than simply obtaining a larger physical appearance?" Ize argued.
"You have much to learn, Ize. During my time in hell: literally speaking, I learned that immortality will eventually lead to an eternity of eternal suffering. There are plenty of ways to torture an immortal and I'd rather not take my chances," Frieza explained.
Ize merely stared at his father who continued to look at the countless stars that he considers part of his empire. There was silence for a brief moment until the sound of the door behind them buzzed: signaling that someone wanted permission to come in. The galactic emperor pressed the button of his chair, slightly annoyed that his moment of silence was interrupted. With the input put into motion the doors opened, revealing the two recon soldiers that had returned with two large men towering over them. They entered, the emperor's chair turning to face them before he stopped at the sight of the men in front of them. Before he could respond, the two recon units kneeled in front of him, the veteran speaking up with a modest town, "We've returned with staggering news, Lord Frieza. We discovered a distress signal on one of the planets out in the south and came across two full blooded Saiyans along the way.".
"Saiyans? To think there are still some more alive?" Frieza muttered, hoping out of his chair in order to get a closer inspection on the two. The older one placed his fist at his chest and bowed, the other totally awestruck by his surroundings so much that he didn't seem to care.
After looking a bit closer, Frieza noticed something rather peculiar, "But, the other one doesn't seem to have a tail. Why is that?".
"Well, my lord. It is true that Saiyans have the characteristics to transform into Great Apes at the very sight of the moon while losing control of ourselves in the process. However, I removed his tail to control his power." Paragus replied.
"Control? Are you saying he has trouble controlling himself?" Frieza asked, raising an eyebrow.
Paragus nodded, his face stern but also respectful, "Yes, but rarely.".
"Rare? So he can still lose control occasionally?" Frieza said with narrowed red eyes.
Those eyes were enough to nearly make Paragus panic out of fear, his Saiyan instincts causing him to take a step back before explaining himself. He searched through his pockets, taking out a remote that made his son scared, his hands instantly reaching for the device around his neck. He pulled taking a few steps back as flashes of faint memories came flooding back while his father explained, "There is no need to worry?! If he ever loses control I can shock him through the device around his neck with this remote. The shock has proven enough times to restrain him if it ever happens."
"Is that so...," Frieza muttered, walking towards them before stopping in front of the behemoth. The man that Paragus calls son stopped struggling to look at the emperor's curious eyes, confused and completely unaware of the ill intentions that linger in that man's mind. The emperor smirked, "I can tell he hides something even greater beneath his outer appearance. Tell me, what's your name?".
The tall Saiyan continued to look around, ignoring his question entirely until Paragus answered for him out of annoyance, "His name is Broly, my lord!".
"Broly...quite a name isn't it? You two, stand up straight," Frieza commanded, causing the two to instantly stand into a salute. "Berryblue, I would like you to reward them for this unexpected find. They are free to go.".
"Yes my lord," She said, floating over to them as they contained their excitement. She shuffled through her pockets and handed them their reward, their cheerful laughter bursting out as they ran out of the room with glee. The moment they were out of sight, Frieza turned around and walked towards the glass window of his ship with both hands behind his back.
"As for you two, are you aware that Planet Vegeta has been destroyed due to some unfortunate events?" Frieza questioned.
Paragus looked down at the floor and clenched his fist, "Yes, I was informed on the way here. But, that is no concern to me now. That planet has been dead to me ever since the king exiled us for unjust reasons!". Hearing this, Frieza smirked at the immediate idea that came into his head.
"I see, so you must still want revenge?" Frieza assumed, gaining a clear silence to his answer. He was right on the mark and he relished it proudly, "Paragus, what if I told you King Vegeta's son: Vegeta the fourth is still alive and is currently living on Earth?".
"What?! The King's son lives! That bastard, Vegeta!" Paragus shouted, his tail twitching around in response to his emotions. The news was staggering enough and had seemed to ignite a hatred within his heart that had laid dormant for years.
Frieza's sly smile was becoming harder and harder to hide, "Yes, and I shall help you get your revenge by taking you to him. Berryblue, please see to it that these two get a nice shower and new battle gear that is comfortable for them.".
"As you wish," She said in a low tone. She floated towards the door, gesturing them to follow her to which they complied willingly. Once the doors closed, Ize turned to his father with a look of wonder.
"So, why didn't you dispose of them father?" Ize asked.
Frieza simply chuckled, turning to face his son with glowing sinister eyes that matched spouses, "Simple, manipulation is one of the best ways to get the job done with the least amount of work. You'll have to wait a little longer for that fight but don't fret, we'll be heading to a place that is sure to have fighters to quench those urges of yours.".
"Oh...then I can't wait!" Ize grinned evilly, the sound of a guaranteed fight becoming music to his ears.
Some Time Later, The Cafeteria Of The Ship...
The cafeteria was quite chatting, filled with numerous soldiers of both genders alike. Since his return, Frieza had subjugated more female soldiers into his army since the tournament in hopes to replenish his army's strength. At one particular table was sitting both Cheelai and Lemo enjoying a drink that they bought with their reward from finding the two stranded Saiyans. After gulping down her glass, Cheelai let out a satisfying sigh, "Man that was good. I can't believe Frieza gave us all that money!".
"I know, to think finding Saiyans would bring us this much fortune," Lemo agreed.
In the middle of their chatter, the sound of the door opening distracted that from their conversation. They both looked towards the source, immediately distinguishing the very two Saiyans they found. With a cheerful smile, Cheelai waved at them welcomely, "Hey there, I see that you two finally freshened up! Why don't you come sit with us?!".
Paragus stared at her for a moment impassively, sighing before heading over to the table and taking his seat grudgingly. Like a willing puppy, Broly followed and hovered over the table for a moment until Cheelai decided to start some small talk, "Say, why aren't you wearing armor like the rest of us?".
"It was uncomfortable for me to wear...," Broly muttered, one of his rather rare moments of speaking openly about his opinions.
Cheelai grinned, her hands stretching her own armor around her chest area in order to show how elastic the material was, "Aw come on, it's not that bad. You just have to get used to it is all. See, it even stretches so your enormous size wouldn't matter at all.". Broly wanted to say something, his innocent mind seeking more small talk with the two people in front of him until his father interrupted.
"Broly, we aren't here to talk! We're here to eat!" Paragus informed, his tone firm despite him having his eyes closed with arms folded.
The young green women glared at him, "Now what's your problem?! He should at least have the right to socialize and get to know other people other than his dad!".
"Hmph, I don't need to listen to your advice. Your opinion is none of my concern," Paragus retorted. Cheelai gritted her teeth at the man, her body nearly jolting forward so that she could slug him across the face until Lemo held her by the waist and pulled her back into her seat.
"Calm down, we don't need to start a scene!" Lemo insisted, his voice traced with worry. He knew how powerful Paragus was and the fact that there may be a chance that his son would jump in if there were a skirmish would be troublesome.
Luckily for him, Cheelai huffed in her chair and took notice of Broly's pelt that emitted an unsettling stench to it. She couldn't help but comment on it herself, reaching over to grab it at the tip without asking which kinda shocked the tall Saiyan, "Say, why are you still wearing this? It kinda reeks.". Before she knew it, Broly was growling at her and slapped her hand to the side, his fangs slightly visible due to his uncontrollable emotions. However, shocking to the point where his intense flaring anger was shot down to nothing but surprise, Cheelai looked up at him with a small understanding grin.
"Sorry, I guess this thing must be important to you! Though, I still recommend giving it a nice wash once in a while if it matters that much to you!" Cheelai suggested, giving the pelt another soft touch. The tall Saiyan was simply confused to the point where he was at a loss of words. Though his father was trying his hardest to ignore the scene that was going on in front of him until someone came behind Cheelai. A large soldier around the same height of his son, bearing ironclad muscles that were cloaked in purple skin along with deep purple hair to go with it. Judging by his masculine face, he was drunk out of his mind: instantly becoming more noticeable when he started talking.
"Hey therr're lady. Why arre you haning with these loschers? I am the only real combatant on board tis ship so come wit me and I'll sho you a good time!" The soldier slurred, his words coming out so illiterately that Paragus was beginning to think that this was some sort of native language from one of the tribes he slaughtered back in the day.
Cheelai looked at him for a moment from head to toe. It didn't take long before she turned her back towards him as if she was denying his offer, "Sorry but no thanks. You look like a creep if you ask me.".
"What?!" The soldier said out loud so that the entire cafeteria could hear.
Lemo groaned at Cheelai's rash rejection and walked over to the man with some of his reward money in hopes to mend the situation, "Look, she's not interested. Here, let me buy you a drink to mend your broken hea-araaagh!". Before he could finish his sentence, the soldier pushed him to the side where his back hit the floor hard.
"I don't need it! Look, I am not asking lady so you better come or else!" The soldier demanded.
He reached over to grab her by the arm until something stopped him from doing so. He widened his eyes, hoping to clearly see what was going on was really happening. With strength that he couldn't so much comprehend, Broly grabbed his wrist just about centimeters away from Cheelai's face. The large soldier looked at the owner of this absurd power, the feeling of fear almost immediately taking over as soon as he saw Broly's face. He was angry...no this wasn't just ordinary anger but just what a few people on Earth would call "Saiyan rage".
"Yo-You got a problem wit me?!" The soldier stammered, trying his best to uphold that manly image of his.
Broly's eyes narrowed, showing a hint of just how angry his eyes were, "I do...!". Without warning, the Saiyan grabbed him by the throat, his brute strength being enough to lift him in the air despite his size. Cheelai watched in awe but also fear when Broly began to choke the life out of him: his aggressive growling reminiscing that of a wild beast. Paragus sucked his lips and fumbled through his pouch for the remote. Once he found it, he took it out immediately and held it towards Broly for the best signal possible. He pressed down on the button with little remorse since he knew that Broly would kill the poor man accidentally. First, there were small bolts of static before they burst out into just a full on electrical shock that caused unbelievable pain to it's target.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH-ARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Broly wailed, the pain causing him to drop the now limp body of the man on the floor. Everyone watched in horror as the Saiyan fell to his knees, his cries echoing throughout the entire room from the pain he was feeling. Any normal person would have died from what he was enduring, and the evident fear in Broly's eyes were something that some would rarely see in their lifetime. Seeing that his son came to his senses, he clicked the button again, disabling the shocks immediately as Broly remained on his knees. He was panting aggressively, his body nearly falling over his side for a moment until Lemo supported him upwards. After watching everything unfolded, Cheelai had to speak her mind as she walked up to his father with a clear disapproving face.
"Just what in the hell was that?! Is that how you raise your own child?!" Cheelai asked, seeing how uncaring Paragus's face was.
The old Saiyan simply huffed in annoyance, "I am grateful that you two saved us but you should just mind your own business. He's my son and I chose how I should raise him. Besides, you don't know a damn thing! He could have killed that man and cause Frieza to kill us too.". Broly looked to the ground, knowing full well his father was right. He was in such a rage that he was trying to snap his neck like one of the monster's legs at home.
"From what it sounds like you only think of Broly as a living weapon to suit your own needs!" Cheelai accused.
The old Saiyan held his head high, his pride becoming more of a necessity over checking to see if his son was okay. He turned around and headed towards the door, giving off his final warning to the lady that saved them from exile, "I don't need to stay for this. I'll give you this one warning, watch what you say to me or else...!". With heavy feet, he stomped out of the cafeteria without eating nor batting his own son an eye. Everyone was silent though it didn't take long for the room to become filled with chatter again. Lemo let out a relieving sigh and looked at the petrified Broly who was still staring at the floor.
"Hey, are you okay? Your old man is seriously one terrible guy!" Lemo commented, snapping him out of his fearful trance. Before he could try and defend his father's reasoning, Cheelai stood in front of the two who were kneeling on the floor with a wide grin. They were confused until they caught a glimpse of what she was playing with in her hand.
"That old fart may be strong but still oblivious to my thieving skills!" Cheelai noted proudly.
Lemo smirked slyly at her little accomplishment, "You dirty thief...". Cheelai chuckled lightly before tossing the remote into the air. With one swift motion she whipped out her ray gun and pointed it at her target with utmost precision.
"This is what I think about shocking people," Cheelai muttered, pulling the trigger without hesitation. To Broly, things were moving in slow motion as the ray that was fired collided with the remote with such sharpness that it was split in two before it burst into small fireworks in mid air. To bystanders, it looked like it was simply the mere destruction a remote but to Broly: it was something to behold. Cheelai stood over him, her hand extending outward as if she were to help him up onto his feet.
"Now that's gone, you wanna be friends? We can hang in the storage room where I keep my secret stash of that chocolate that you liked so much," Cheelai offered.
Broly was both confused and surprised. He didn't know how to interact with someone who wanted to spend time with him. In fact, he's never come across this kind of scenario in his entire life. He was scared but also somewhat eased by the warmness that he was getting from simply being around both Lemo and Cheelai. Before he knew it, he took her hand and kind gesture without him realizing the friendship that he started.
Now On Planet Earth, Early In The Morning...
"Come on, we are running behind schedule!" Kuzuku shouted, his mind clearly wondering about something. Caulifla and Kale were busy putting on their shoes since they were already done getting dressed into their Gi. They were ready to go, only to be held back by 21 who was currently taking care of some business in the bathroom that she didn't quite want to allow Kuzuku to see. It was odd since the moment he woke up, he didn't find his wife anywhere in the bed until she came through the bedroom door in clothing that looked as if she stepped outside of the house. After a few minutes of waiting, 21 had finally stepped out of the bathroom: revealing a long yellow shirt and some whitish blue jeans that matched with her vanilla pointed loafers.
"You ready?" Kuzuku asked with a warm smile.
At first, he expected a smile back but was met with a weary one that looked a bit nervous about something. So much so that her reply had a slight stutter to it, "Ye-Yeah, I'm fine. Come on, we better not keep Bulma and them waiting for long, right?!". The forced enthusiasm raised some small flags in Kuzuku's mind yet he simply shrugged it off and played along.
"Yeah, just grab on tight and I'll teleport us all there in no time," Kuzuku agreed, nudging his shoulder in her direction so she could grab on. Humbly, she accepted his offer and grabbed onto his shoulder while the other two Saiyans did the same. Once Kuzuku double checked that they were all holding onto him, he placed his fingers onto his forehead and teleported as soon as he got a lock onto what seemed to be both Goku and Vegeta's signatures.
-Instant Transmission SFX-
Before they all realized it, they were all transported onto what seemed to be the patio area that was by the sea. The sun was shining brightly along with the nice cool breeze to go with it. The sight of the sea sparkling in the distance was enough to wow the two universe 6 Saiyans while exotic sea life danced within the waters. Caulifla couldn't help but breathe in the air around while Kale ran over to admire the flowers nearby. Once Caulifla exhaled, she couldn't help but comment, "This place is amazing. Is this where we are training for the day?".
"You betcha. Bulma was kind enough to allow us to use her brand new private resort that is far away from the city. Here, we can go all out without having to worry about other people's safety or noticing. Just try not to blow the island up while you're at it," Kuzuku answered.
Caulifla nodded a few times as if she understood though her face looked as if she didn't care about the safety details, "Yeah, yeah I get it. Now, when do we start?!".
"Well...," Kuzuku muttered until he was cut off by the sudden call of someone's voice.
"Hey! Kuzuku, Caulifla, Kale look over here!" A modest male voice called to them. The entire gang turned towards the owner of the voice, only to realize that it was none other than Cabba jogging towards them with Lottus simply walking behind him. The first thing Kuzuku noticed was the new clothes they were wearing. For starters, Cabba was wearing a universe 7 modified armor that resembled the one Bulma made for Vegeta during his training with Whis. Other than that, Lottus was wearing some new clothes as well.
The Saiyan prince from universe 6 seemed to have chosen more of an earthling look, taking upon himself to wear a brownish red gi that went down to his knees while being held together by a black sash around his waist. His boots matched the color scheme just like his pants and the bandages that wrapped around his arms. What was also noticeable was that under his gi was a latex shirt that had one side completely without a sleeve while the other did. The only other part that completely stood out of the brownish red color scheme was his pants as opposed to his boots. Kuzuku couldn't help but smirk at the fact that universe 6 Saiyans...or as to say the majority that he knows so far, prefer the comfy clothing provided for fighting.
He waved, greeting them while Caulifla remained deadpanned at the sight of the two. He would have thought she'd at least show a shred of emotion since it's been nearly a month since they last saw each other but nonetheless, he had to start up the conversation, "Hey there Cabba! Long time no see! How's your training with Vegeta going.".
"Heheh, I would be lying if I said it was going completely well. We've been starting to keep up as of late but in the beginning it was beyond painful. Though, even after all that we both still couldn't transform to Super Saiyan 3," Cabba admitted, stopping in front of the taller Saiyan.
Caulifla couldn't help but remark at that notation, "Hmph, of course you guys haven't. I'm going to be the first to transform then Kale!". Cabba was surprised at what she had said.
"Wait, you guys didn't manage to transform either?" Cabba asked.
Kuzuku chuckled nervously the moment Caulifla shot him a glare, "Well, it's not easy. But don't think for a second that they didn't get any stronger. Trust me, even now they could probably give Zugo a run for his money if they ever teamed up on him.".
"I won't doubt your word for it. But that also goes for us as well," Lottus replied, smirking with a similar confidence that Vegeta would exert. The Universe 7 Saiyan knew instantly that Vegeta was most certainly training them well. As he thought about this, Cabba nodded in agreement before noticing 21 staring off into the beautiful ocean. Her presence was lacking even more so than Kale which is something to point out.
"Oh, my apologies Ms.21! We didn't see you there! How have you been?" Cabba greeted, his voice almost causing her to jump out of her skin.
She smiled nervously, chuckling as the words came out of her mouth, "I'm doing f-fine! Thank you very much!".
Her tone was enough to raise some more alarms in Kuzuku's head. Her tone was abnormal to what she is usually like and her face looked worried which was easy to depict for him since he's dealt with this sort of demeanor from her countless times over. Knowing this, he wanted to ask for himself until someone else came to interrupt them.
"Hey guys! You should come into the shades over here!" Bulma called, waving for anyone to come join her in the shade. Next to her or rather sitting in one of the sunbathing chairs were both Whis and Beerus enjoying their nice cold drinks. Before he knew it, Caulifla was the first to jog over there while Kale followed her loyally. Lottus sighed, knowing Caulifla was the type of person to go for a chance to get food rather than training immediately. He started to follow her with Cabba complying with his decision, leaving the young married couple by themselves for the moment.
In a short time, 21 started to take a few steps towards the lounge area until Kuzuku grabbed her hand to stop her. She turned around, her smile almost obviously forced as sweat trickled down her face, "What's wrong, Kuzuku? Do you need something?".
Kuzuku looked her dead in the eye, searching for any lies that may come from her replies, "Tell me, is something bothering you? You seem off today.".
"N-No, nothing wrong at all! I'm perfectly fine!" The scientist stuttered. Her eyes were fearful, scared of being found out. Kuzuku knew she was lying but couldn't figure out why.
He shook his head and stared back at her, "21, I know you're lying. If there is something truly troubling you then you should tell me. You ca-".
"Kuzuku!" 21 suddenly shouted for a moment. She wasn't loud enough for the others to hear but enough to gain his attention. It was the first time she's actually shouted at him in that manner before and when he looked into her eyes she seemed...desperate? Secretive? Begging? He couldn't seem to narrow it down to one of those but simply decided to jumble them all together.
She sighed, hoping that she would calm down from her sudden outburst before speaking softly, "Can...we save this for later? I'd much rather talk about it tonight. You know, just the two of us...".
Kuzuku was still unsure, his expression uneasy at her request. Though, in the end he simply nodded: honoring her request, "Alright, we'll talk later. But for now, we'll just enjoy today to the fullest.". He smiled warmly as he rested his forehead on hers, causing her heart to heat up from the contact. Nodding with a smile, she hugged him before heading over to the lounge alongside them, the sly smiles becoming apparent to them as they drew closer.
"Having a touching moment in front of us? Come on, you two could have at least saved that for later...like tonight?" Bulma teased.
The husband scratched his head while his wife looked down towards the ground in embarrassment, both trying to avoid eye contact in the process. Whis chuckled alongside with Bulma, their laughs slightly annoying the god of destruction who was trying to take a nap at the moment all the while the universe 6 female Saiyans were collecting plates of food over by the tables while Cabba and Lottus seemed to be already chowing down in the background.
"Anyways, where's Vegeta and Goku? They are the only one's I've haven't seen yet," Kuzuku asked, trying to steer away from the comment made by Bulma.
Whis simply tilted his head towards the ocean in front of them, causing Kuzuku to look over in that direction. Before he could ask why, a sudden pillar of water distracted him. It was apparent as to the cause of the sudden eruption of water, especially since multiple other geysers started appearing before them. Among the falling droplets of water were two very fast moving figures among them, their fists seemingly moving at speeds at which a normal person couldn't believe was possible. As soon as they connected, the waters dispersed into a sphere before being blown away by the shockwave. To Kuzuku's trained eyes, he could clearly see both Goku and Vegeta going head to head in a rather intense spar.
"Don't tell me that's all you got, Kakarot!" Vegeta mocked, smirking as he pushed his fist harder into his rival's. Goku could feel his feet begin to slide against the cold air, chuckling at the fact that Vegeta was pretty much beginning to overwhelm him a bit.
"I...thought you knew already Vegeta? I'm barely getting started!" Goku exclaimed, pushing the prince's fist aside with enough force to throw him off balance before side kneeing him in the stomach. Seizing the opportunity, Goku grabbed onto Vegeta's biceps and lifted him over his shoulder before hurling him towards the deep sea. The prince rocketed towards it fast, only to stop himself abruptly so fast that a hole opened up beneath him before closing in seconds.
Vegeta looked up, slightly annoyed but also mixed with great amusement, "You're so gonna pay 100 times over for that one Kakarot!".
"Hmph, then come at me then!" Goku roared, raising his Ki even higher. Vegeta did the same, flaring his own Ki as they both charged right towards each other with the intent to send the other flying. But before they could close the distance, an energy wave shot past between them as if it was a signal for them to stop. Their auras dispersed, both wondering who in the world would be crazy enough to interrupt their spar until they heard the owner of the wave.
"Don't you think you two are having a little too much fun? I'm starting to get jealous over here!" Kuzuku shouted, flying towards them before stopping just a couple of meters away from them.
Obviously, the first one to grin widely at the younger Saiyan's arrival was Goku, "Yo, when did you arrive Kuzuku?!".
"Just a couple of minutes ago. You two seem to have a lot of energy today," Kuzuku pointed out.
Goku chuckled, scratching his head as he drifted in the air, "Heheh, yeah. It's been a while since me and Vegeta last sparred so it's kinda refreshing to let loose once in a while!".
"I feel ya. Say, mind if I joined in on the action?" Kuzuku asked, knowing full well that there will be no objections to the idea.
Just as he anticipated, Goku nodded with approval, "Of course! But don't think we are going to hold back just because you're just starting to warm up.". Kuzuku smirked and cracked his knuckles at the little comment Goku made.
"You don't have to worry about me. I'm more than capable of keeping up with you two," Kuzuku boasted, confident in his own strength.
Vegeta scrunched his eyebrows, taking his words as a challenge, "Really now? Someone's getting ahead of himself. Especially since...". The prince paused, smirking as an idea popped into his head which caused Kuzuku to raise an eyebrow.
"Since what? I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really follo-!" Kuzuku said before getting cut off at the sight of Vegeta disappearing right before his eyes. With sharp eyes, Kuzuku managed to track the prince down and block the roundhouse kick aimed for the side of his head with his forearm. The prince smirked as Kuzuku did the same while the winds generated from the kick caused ripples in the water. Shortly, they separated from each other, creating a good amount of distance between them before coming to a stop.
Vegeta folded his arms, still holding his smug smirk from before, "I see you haven't been slacking on training while dealing with those brats from Universe 6.".
"Wow, give me some credit. Did you really think that I wouldn't get in some training of my own? Besides, I thought Lottus and Cabba would keep you preoccupied for a while as well but that kick says otherwise," Kuzuku noted.
Vegeta let out amused chuckle, "Hmph, hardly.".
"You three look like you're having fun! Mind if we joined in as well?!" A voice called out. The three universe 7 Saiyans all turned towards the owner of the voice, immediately taking sight of the Cabba along with the three other Saiyans from their twin universe flying towards them. They all huddled around as the waves below flowed as calm as the breeze in the air.
Caulifla began stretching her shoulders since she was ready to get down to business, "Alright, so how are we going to spar today? I'm getting anxious to show the results of my training."
"Hold your horses, there are 7 of us. We gotta choose carefully, Caulifla," Cabba commented.
The feisty Saiyan was about to argue with him on that comment until Kuzuku beat her to the punch, "Nah, it's fine. I kinda want Caulifla and Kale to take on Goku here. This way they would have someone else to spar against other than me. But, that is if that's alright of course.".
"Of course, I've been waiting to see what they've learned over the past couple of weeks! Say, are you two down?!" Goku agreed with enthusiasm.
Caulifla smirked along with Kale's timid smile, "You damn straight we are! Don't think that it will be the same as last time old man!".
"If that's the case, then I'll take on Cabba and leave Lottus to you," Vegeta said, drifting away from the huddle without saying much more. They all knew that once he made his mind there was no arguing against it unless you wanted to be there for hours on end. It was the prince's request after all so it couldn't be helped.
Before Cabba left with Vegeta, he decided to give some words of advice to Kuzuku despite knowing how strong he is, "Oh, by the way Kuzuku. I wouldn't underestimate Lottus if I were you. He's way stronger than you initially would think.".
The primal Saiyan was a tad bit confused while he watched him fly over where Vegeta was waiting. The moment he was far from sight, he turned to see Lottus getting ready to spar as he was stretching his arms and legs. In just moments, his confusion turned into curiosity as a smile formed on his face.
"Alright Vegeta, you got me to bite. Let's see the results of the training you provided them," Kuzuku muttered.
Watching the group of Saiyans readying themselves for battle from below was the remaining bystanders who simply wanted to enjoy a nice refreshing day at the resort. And doing just that, Beerus took another sip of his nice blueberry soft drink that sat beside him. He couldn't help but feel even more intrigue at their species, seeing that despite proving themselves in a tournament that was arguably the toughest one in all of history they still want to improve themselves and get even stronger than they currently are.
"The progress of these Saiyans are outstanding...the fact that not only Goku has mastered a state that deities couldn't for millions of years, that boy manages to achieve a power that can rival that power. Not to mention that there is that Jiren fellow who was also in that realm of power as well...," Beerus noted to himself. He took another sip of his drink and began thinking once more, "If they continue at this rate then I may be able to finally be able to obtain a fighter worthy of my caliber. The real question is, who will it be?"
Just as that thought passed through his head, an eruption of power steered him from his inner monologue. He looked up to see that the sparring session has started right before his very eyes as the Saiyans zipped through the skies with fist crashing into each other. It was an all out war from the gecko with neither side seeming to slow down. It was a sight to behold and something that never seems to get old. Beerus couldn't help but smirk as he sucked more fluid from his glass, only to hear a chuckle at his side. He opened one eyelid to see Whis staring at him. Without saying a word he went back to his impassive look and tried to nap through all the noise that was going on.
Bulma folded her arms while shaking her head, "Here I thought taking them out here would be a good thing. I'm still afraid that they might break someone or worse: sink this entire resort into the sea. But, I guess that's why they are Saiyans right 21?". She turned to fully hear her response but instead of getting a reply, the blue haired scientist was met with a sight of her partner in a state of deep thought. The majin's eyes were looking towards the ground while her hand was balled into a fist that was pushing against her cheek. She looked stressed...in fact she was stressed before they got here but only hid it from Kuzuku so he wouldn't be worried.
"Umm, 21? You okay?" Bulma said a little bit louder so she could snap out of it.
With success, 21 perked up straight in her seat and nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking of some theories that could possibly work is all.". The scientist raised an eyebrow, not buying into her little lie at all.
"Yeah, so sitting on the chair while looking like you just went through 10 hours of nothing but paperwork is all because you were brainstorming. I'm not buying into that so tell me, what's really the problem?" Bulma asked.
21 was hesitant as she casted her eyes towards her husband who blocked a kick from behind before disappearing again with his incredible speed. She could track him easily so her eyes continued to follow him for a moment before turning back towards Bulma who was giving a comforting and assuring smile. Almost like a smile that a big sister would give to her younger siblings. The majin sighed deeply, "Well, you see...I-I'm...".
"You're what?" Bulma pressed further.
Without saying a word, the majin simply looked down but not at the floor but at her hands that was now caressing her stomach. Bulma froze, taking a moment to soak in the meaning of what she was trying to say. Her mouth quivered, fumbling with her words due to the shock she was feeling right now, "Y-You're...but...when...?!".
"I found out this morning. Trust me, I was just as shocked as you were. It explains why I can't transform at the mome-," 21 noted.
Without warning, Bulma pulled her into a tight hug that caught her off guard, "Oh my god, congratulations!". The majin smiled, hugging her back before they separated. If today was a day to hide your smile then Bulma would have definitely failed the challenge as of right now since she was grinning.
"So, have you told Kuzuku yet?" Bulma asked.
She shook her head, her eyes darting back towards her husband who kicked Lottus hard in the stomach before elbowing him into the waters. She smiled but shook her head, "No, not yet. I was going to tell him but I became too nervous. But, when we talk tonight then I will tell him.".
"I see, that's good that you have this well thought out," Whis said, overhearing the conversation while his lord continued to try to pay them no mind.
21 looked over to Whis and smiled at the compliment before looking towards the sky. She failed once before with her first child and again with 16 but now it was different. Now she has another chance to make up for what she couldn't do in the past.
A/N: Long time no see! Sorry for the long wait but here's chapter six which marks the beginning of the Broly arc! I've been currently working on getting Yu-Gi-Oh Re: Seize up to speed so that's why this wasn't posted a lot sooner. Be sure to check it out because that series is going to be more of an original idea than Dragon Ball: Tenkai! Anyways, feel free to review and until we meet again!
