The center's cafe was the fashion site of the moment. Students from various schools and colleges frequented the place, especially on weekend. When Chizuru and Heisuke left the house, they had no plans to visit the coffee shop. The plan was to just go to the store, buy some ingredients that she needed to make a cake (in the afternoon she would meet with her friends at Souji and Heisuke's house and she wanted to bring the dessert) and quickly go home to prepare lunch before That her father went to work at the hospital, but when they passed near the place, Heisuke suggested buying some dangos to take away. The boy really loved the sweets, just like her, so she accepted.

Even though the day was cloudy, the place was full. Many of those present commented on the successful festival that took place at Haku's School, where students performed excellent activities capturing the attention of visitors. It was a really nice place to spend the time, but at times there were uncomfortable situations like when they met rivals from other schools or people not so nice.

Chizuru gently denied as she waited her turn to place her order. For boys, all it was a competition, especially if it was about Kendo.

"Did you hear me, Heisuke?" Kenji asked haughtily to the young man who was quietly drinking his orange juice. The young black-haired was the captain of Kendo's teams, of the Nintai's school, the main rival of their school. The boy had a personal rivalry with Souji because he had not yet been able to defeat the young chestnut.

In the past competence, the team had problems with some of its injured members; in addition to that the captain was not in the city, reason why they could not participate. "We will participate in the next competence; it will not be so easy for you to win."

"I heard you," the young man said with disinterest. "You have not stopped talking since you arrived."

Kenji frowned at Heisuke's words. His two friends looked annoyed as well. Chizuru did not like the way the conversation was taking place. Heisuke was very friendly, but he was also very proud, he not easily intimidated, especially if it was to defend his team.

"Do not go on with this, Heisuke-Kun, it's not worth it," she said to his friend in a low voice.

" What, Chizuru-Chan? These were the ones who came here to complain. "

"How did you say?" Another of the boys questioned indignantly.

"It's what you do, is not it? Complain about what you could not do ... "

"Well, soon we're going to show you what we can do." The captain looked at the annoyed young man.

"Train hard, then, you're going to need it." Heisuke smirked. Kenji looked at him in silence for a few seconds and then left the place followed by his friends.

"Tch! We just had to meet these guys." Heisuke exhaled heavily.

"You should not pay attention to them, Heisuke-Kun; you'll just get in trouble."

"Do not worry, Chizuru-Chan, I know how to handle these guys." He gave a small smile to the young girl who could not help but smile too. The young man's smile was contagious. She understood the situation in a certain way, the boys of Nintai's school could be very annoying sometimes, though she did not want his friend to get in trouble. When it was her turn, she approached the counter being served by Mizuki.

"I really wanted to go to the festival, but I had to work," she said, handing the young girl chestnut her order.

"It's okay, Mizuki-Chan. It will be for another occasion"

"Yes ... ..Izuki- San was here and brought me a delicious dessert. he said that you did , Chizuru-Chan."

Chizuru nodded. "My friends and I set up a food stall; Izuki-San thought maybe you would like the dessert."

"And he was right, it was delicious, maybe someday you could give me the recipe."

Chizuru nodded again. She liked Mizuki, she was older than she, but she was a very sweet and friendly person. After leaving the cafeteria, they returned home, they still had many things to do.

It was raining a little when Saito came to his friends' house. In Tokyo he almost never met with his classmates, only when it was necessary. Neither when he attended social gatherings in the company of his father, he was not much interested in socializing with his supposed "friends" children of his father's business associates. They were too shallow for his taste, including his cousin Yosuke. What he was least interested in to sit and listen to them talk about their travels or many other things without importance.

His friends in Kyoto were different. They had given him their sincere friendship without even knowing him. Although, Souji could be annoying sometimes, he was the best friend he had ever had. Heisuke was also a real friend to him, and what to say about Chizuru, his heart felt so warm next to her. He appreciated them, in such a short time they were already an important part of his life.

"So the idiot Kenji-San is back." Souji smirked. "It seems like I'm going to have fun."

"Oi! It seems they are going serious this time, Souji, we can't underestimate them."Heisuke threw himself into a solitary chair, running both hands behind his head.

"I never do, but they make it too easy. Even Takeshi-Kun with a little training would make it better." He joked. The boy, who had gone to teach Heisuke a program on the computer looked up in surprise.

"I-I do not know anything about Kendo," he said, dragging his words.

"You should, brat is a good sport."

Heisuke inspired gently. "Anyway, the Nintai team is very good. Soon you will meet them, Hajime-Kun, although I do not think they are a big challenge for you."

"We'll see," Stoic said. He had heard of the team, but he still didn't have a chance to face them.

Chizuru, who had just brought a small snack to Koundo in his study, entered the room with a tray. "The boys are very complicated." She spoke softly. "You're excited to compete, right?"

"Kendo is a sport of skill and dexterity. It is natural that there is excitement to compete, as in any other sport." Saito said in his usual tone.

"Otherwise, it would not be fun, Chizuru-Chan" Souji could barely contain the emotion in his words. "The best thing of all is that you are on our side." He approached her taking a dango from the tray.

"I will always be on your side. If not, who will take care of you?" The girl joked.

The young men smiled in return. After watching the movie that lasted approximately two hours, they sat down to drink some tea accompanied by a piece of cake that the girl had prepared. Heisuke and Takeshi sat in the dining room as they were entertaining doing something on the laptop. The others stayed on the couch.

When the rain increased, the thunders began to listen strongly. Saito felt the girl sitting next to him, shake slightly pulling a few of the sleeve of his jacket.

"Are you okay?" He turned to look at her. Chizuru nodded, forcing a small smile.

" To Chizuru-Chan doesn't like the thunders." The chestnut who sits on the other couch commented attracting Saito's attention.

"That was when I was a little girl," she complained. She did not want them to think that she was still a foolish girl, who still feared to the thunders. But so it was, she hated thunders. She gripped Saito's sleeve a little harder as another thunder rumbled across the sky. Sure the indigo young would complain, but he didn't do.

Souji smiled softly leaving his cup on the table. "I'd better go upstairs to check if the windows are closed." Without another word, he got up and went upstairs.

Saito looked at the girl again. He didn't know that she was afraid of thunders. The first time he saw her it was raining, but it was not thundering like now, just a lot of rain that lasted a few hours. She looked so fragile at the moment, though she struggled not to look like it. He felt a desire to protect her. Without thinking, he took one of her hands and squeezed it gently giving her a small smile. Chizuru smiled back, knowing he was comforting her. With him, words were not necessary, she felt safe at his side.

"You know what I would like?" He said trying to distract her "another bit of that delicious cake."

He was not very fond of sweets, he just wanted her to forget a little of the terrible weather outside, and apparently it worked; He saw her nodding enthusiastically and giving him a genuine smile. Without saying more, they went to the kitchen and as usual, he listened carefully everything that she wanted to tell. The important thing was that she will relax. When they returned to the living room, Souji had already returned, the young chestnut just rested back on the sofa, making it clear that everything was closed.

The time passed very quickly and two hours later the visitors returned home. Although the rain had not stopped completely, it was late and they had to return.

Sunday passed much calmer. The rain continued but with less intensity. Chizuru dedicated the day to help his father clean and order his office. Also, she takes the opportunity to clean her room and other parts of the house. Since she could not get out, it was best to take advantage of the time.

After dinner, she went up to her room to read the last two chapters of the book she was reading. This related the love story between a samurai and a mysterious girl who did not know her true identity. It was a story full of illusions, confusion, jealousy, hatred, but above all love. Chizuru sighed between chapters thoughtfully. The love was very cute. She used to see couples in love walking in the park, holding hands, professing their love. One day she hoped to live a beautiful love story like she read in the books, or not exactly like the one about books. She knew that in real life everything was very different, but that didn't minimize her desire to dream. She smiled to herself. Instead of thinking about those things, she should think about the exams that were to come. She came out of her reverie when she heard a soft knock on the door.

" It something happens, Oto-San?" she asked the old man standing at the door.

"Chizuru, I forget to tell you that tomorrow they are going to send me some documents here, I need you to be pending so that you receive it."

"Documents?"

"That's right, I'll go to a two-day conference in Osaka and, they will send me some documents that I need, also some tickets. I told them you'd be here after three o'clock, when you leave school. "

"Okay, Oto-San, I will receive them. You will do great"

"Thank you, Chizuru." The man placed a hand affectionately on his daughter's head. "To rest." with these words moved away.

"Good evening, Oto-San," she said, closing the door.

She lay back on her bed again. She had planned to stay after school in the library to study. Now she would have to change her plans. She had two exams the same day and she wanted to be prepared. She had no problems with the story, she was very good at it and always got good grades, just had to review a little. The math was the prime thing now. Maybe Saito would want to come to her house to study. Although Heisuke and Takeshi were good at the subject, she did not understand them as well as the stoic young man, he explained her in a way that the exercises seemed very easy to solve. Every day she was getting better and she hoped to get a good grade on her exam.
