The visit
The amount of rolled papers scattered on the floor, the paint stains on the walls and in the uniforms of some students, were a clear evidence of the disorder that the students of second B had a few minutes ago in the art's classroom, the place was made a mess. Tsubasa could see the irritation of Hijikata as he scolded the frightened young.
It was time for the first recess and the sub-director always gave some rounds around for any inconvenience that arises, problems like the one that just happened. Tsubasa was not as strict as Hijikata, but he was agreed that they deserved an appropriate punishment.
The man exhaled softly, crossing his arms. That morning he had some free time, and he did not find a better idea than to make a little visit to his old friends. He just did not expect to find himself in a situation like that. His protective instinct asked him to intervene so that Hijikata does not punish them so harshly, but knowing him, it would not serve much, not when he was so upset. He was inflexible as for discipline equal as Saito was. He could not help noticing how similar they could be in some things, serious, imposing and very strict.
"I think it was fun." he saw Souji suddenly appear, position himself at his side, crossing his arms and smiling mischievously. Hijikata cocked his head, looking seriously at the young chestnut.
Tsubasa raised the corner of his mouth in a small smile. He had met koundo's nephews some time ago, although he had not treated them much, they seemed to him good boys, full of joy and enthusiasm. Souji reminded him when he was younger, with that rebellious attitude that characterizes him, but also a good person. He was happy that Saito got such good friends.
"Do you want me to include you in the punishment, Souji?" warned the vice principal in a tone of annoyance.
"Tsk! It was just an opinion, besides this is not my group. "He exhaled feigning indignation.
Hijikata ignored his comment and went back to the group. Souji made a small face and turned to Tsubasa.
"Hijikata-san is not funny at all, do not you think, Tsubasa-san?"
"At this time he will not be." he spoke softly.
"I do not think he will be funny one day, although it doesn't matter" he said shrugging. "Do you know where Koundo-san is? I thought he would be with you. "
"He returned to the office, he had to make some calls."
"Well, thank you" Souji turned to leave "you should walk away a little" he joked pointing to Hijikata. "just in case."
Tsubasa smiled as the young chestnut came out the door. He quickly turned his attention to the group that kept quiet while his friend spoke in a serious voice. Hijikata was right to be upset; he just wanted that his friend was not so strict with the teenagers. After a good reprimand, the vice principal ordered them to clean the classroom, in addition to helping a whole week in the cleaning of the library. The discipline committee would be responsible for enforcing the punishment imposed by Hijikata. When they left the classroom, they headed towards the office.
"I do not think it was so serious, Hijikata." Tsubasa looked at his friend. "It was just a bit of paint."
"Do not defend them, Tsubasa, they are undisciplined."
"You should be softer with them, they're young, and they just want to have fun."
"I can not be as permissive as you or Kondou-san"
"I just try to understand them"
"Of course, you were equal ... You miss your days of rebellion and indiscipline, right?" Hijikata asked in a tone of amusement.
"They were good times" Tsubasa smiled, remembering the days at the university.
"Yes, they were," Hijikata said with a half smile.
"It is unusual for you to be punished, did you organized a revolt or something?" Heisuke asked, leaning back in his chair.
"We only arrived a few minutes late." Akari complained. "We had to stop at the stationery store and the manager was busy attending to someone else."
"You know that Hijikata-san is very strict with punctuality, although with Hajime-Kun, would not have you gone well either. Surely they'll be left you here all afternoon." Heisuke commented jokingly.
"Do not cheer us up so much, Heisuke-Kun." Takeshi exhaled heavily.
"It just had to happen today that we have to study for the exams" Osen sat next to Heisuke at the cafeteria table.
"You can start without us. Akari-chan and I will reach you when we get out of punishment." Takeshi looked at Akari by his side, he did not like to be punished, but at least he would be all afternoon with her.
"We'll do that; we'll be waiting for you at my house. Meanwhile, Heisuke-Kun, Mika-chan and I will advance a little. Hotaro-kun said that he would arrive a bit late, but he will see us there. "
"What about Chizuru-chan?" questioned the brunette.
"She said, she would stay to study math." Osen replied.
"Chizuru-chan does not have many problems with the other subjects, so Hajime-Kun will help her with math." Heisuke added.
"Chizuru-chan is a lucky girl." Akari whispered to Osen who smiled softly.
"Now what are you planning?" Souji approached the group curiously.
Heisuke rolled his eyes to the young chestnut. "We are organizing to study, since Akari-chan and Takeshi-Kun are punished."
"Really?" Souji looked to those involved. "I did not know that you had rebel's facet"
"We were only a little late" Takeshi shrugged.
"it was expected" the young chestnut smiled softly, looking at the brunette who only managed to cover her rosy cheeks. He knew that the guys were good; they had barely got into trouble.
"The only rebel here is you, Souji." Heisuke commented, looking at the young chestnut.
"So is more fun, besides, you do not stay behind, Heisuke."
"That's because you always involve me in your problems."
"Do not complain." Souji smiled broadly. "Nothing ever happens to you ... well, almost never." Heisuke grimaced in response.
"And where's Chizuru-chan?" he asked, seeing that the young girl was not in the place.
"I have not seen her since we left the classroom." Heisuke answered. "She must be with Hajime-Kun"
Souji breathed in gently, loosening his tie a little. "Well, then I leave for you to finish organizing yourself." he said with a half smile as he walked away to look for something to drink.
Minutes later, the guys finished the conversation and also went to get something for breakfast.
Chizuru still surprised at how flattering the boys could be. All morning she was receiving praise for how beautiful she looked in her sports uniform, even her friends embarrassed her with their comments. She did not feel any different, her uniform was the same as that of all the girls, a white T-shirt and a short skirt of the same color, however the boys always praised her.
When she arrived at the training room, she thought she would find Saito and Okita in the place since they were not in their classroom, but they were not there, only the coach and a few members of the team, because it was not yet time to train. Chizuru delayed for a few minutes watching Yamakazi bandage the wrist of a boy who had a slight sprain, caused while practicing. Yamakazi was the infirmary's assistant in and had good knowledge in medicine. Sometimes, she also helped in healing and medical assistance when they needed it, as her father was a doctor she also had some medical knowledge.
Yamakazi worked fast and effectively. Chizuru was sure that in the future, he would become a great doctor. After bandaging the boy, he took him to the infirmary to prescribe some pain medication. Minutes later the young woman went along with Harada in the direction of the cafeteria to find her friends.
"The things have not changed much, have you, Saito?" Tsubasa smiled wickedly as he accompanied the young president on his tour of the courtyard. After leaving Hijikata in the office, he decided to locate the young man and take some fresh air.
"You're still very popular with girls." He said watching a couple of young girls get excited as they passed by him.
Saito looked at the man out of the corner of his eye. He was not surprised when he saw him earlier at school. He knew that Tsubasa, Koundo and Hijikata met since college and his presence at the school was very well- received.
"It's not as exciting as you think." the young Stoic said as he surveyed the area. As the discipline's president it was his duty to make sure that the students did not cause any clutter during the break.
"Anyone would think that with that character you would distance the admirers, but I think that is what attracts them even more." The old man said with a smile. In all the time he was accompanied Saito, many girls tried to get his attention, but he only ignored them.
"I'm not interested in the admirers." he said dryly without even looking at him.
"Why? It is good to have admirers. They are always there to cheer you up when you need it. "
Saito did not say anything. A group of girls screaming like crazy near of his ear, it was what least encouraged him. He was a quiet man, and the silence was something he appreciated a lot.
"What about your pupil? I'm sure she is also your admirer." he commented mischievously.
"Do you mean Chizuru?"
"Yes, you do not have another pupil, or, yes?"
Saito denied softly. "With Chizuru it's different ... we are friends." For him Chizuru was different from the other girls. She not only looked at his appearance, she really cared for him.
"I see! After all, if you are interested in an admirer." Tsubasa smiled, looking at Saito that doesn't changed his expression "by the way, where is she? I'd like to meet her"
"She must be with her friends."
"It will be interesting to meet Chizuru."
"Why?" He stopped to look at him.
"I told you before, a girl who calls your attention must be very special" smiled wider. Saito seemed very interested in that girl, although he did not say it openly. He was very curious to meet her.
Saito inhaled softly. "To be a veteran you're too curious."
Tsubasa laughed. "Hijikata says the same thing."
After a few minutes the men went inside. The students walked and talked in the corridors animatedly. When Yamada Ahomi and her group of friends approached to say hello, he did not even flinch, the group were truly scandalous. Ahomi was the same girl who had invited him to see her dance's show at the festival, he had not talked much with her, but he knew that she liked to get attention.
Tsubasa spent a little time talking to the young women who smiled constantly while he just remained in silence. When the girls left, they continued on their way.
"Your classmates are very cheerful."
Saito only articulated an "ah" in assent.
Tsubasa smiled. Saito was very shy with women and did not express his feelings easily, he always hid them behind his stoic mask. When one of his subordinates approached him on the way, he just waited patiently while the young president spoke with the guy. He liked to see that he was respected and wanted by his subordinates.
"Good morning, Tsubasa." A familiar voice behind him made him turn to see Harada approaching with a young girl chestnut.
"Good morning, Harada" he greeted kindly. "How have you been?"
"Good, long time ago we did not see you around here"
"I've been a bit busy; the classes at the university take me a lot of time"
"I'm glad to see you"
"Me too, I'm glad to see you." he smiled. He knew all the people who worked there, and Harada was one of the nicest people in the place. He looked at the girl who accompanied him, who simply watched him in silence. He saw her smile, greeting at a couple of girls passing by on her right.
"And who is the young lady?" He asked curiously.
"She's one of my students, Yukimura Chizuru, I thought you knew her, she's very close to Saito."
Tsubasa looked at the young woman carefully. So this was the girl Saito spoke about, she was really beautiful, with a smile that could dazzle any boy.
"I've heard of her, but I had not had the pleasure of meeting her."
Chizuru opened her eyes in surprise; did Saito have spoken to his old teacher about her? She wondered what he would have said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Yukimura-san, my name is Tsubasa Souka." He shook her hand gently.
"Ah! Tsubasa-san, Saito-san also told me a bit about you."
"Really? I thought the guy did not even remember me. "He said with a tone of humor. "I hope he is not being very hard with you"
"Nothing of that, Saito-san is a great guy; he keeps things in order around here."
"As you see, Saito is very dear here." Harada smiled.
"It is good to know it. Saito told me that you are an applied girl." He addressed the young girl.
"I try to be, I want to get good grades by the time I get into college."
"That's good, and what do you want to study?"
"Medicine, I want to be a great doctor." she said enthusiastically.
"It's a good profession."
"I'm sure Chizuru will be the cutest and sweetest doctor in the entire hospital." Harada stroked her head fondly.
"Surely she will be." Tsubasa smiled. In fact Yukimura-san reminds me of a friend I had in college, she was just as pretty as you." He looked at the girl, Chizuru blushed at the compliments. "We got into a lot of problems. Once, we organized a protest for more admissions in the laboratories of medicine, it was a big stir."
"But you were a history student." Harada expressed confused.
"Ah! I was very supportive, and also a little reluctant to obey the rules. I've already changed a bit." He showed a face of amusement.
Chizuru found difficult to imagine Tsubasa as a rebel, the man was like koundo-san, kind, smiling.
"I see you had your days of fun, the guys would love to have you here." The redhead man laughed.
"I would like to stay, but my time at the university has not yet ended, and I must also think about it, the rules here are very strict" he joked.
"You say that because you are very soft with the undisciplined" Saito approached to the group. He had seen Harada and Chizuru arrive and stop to speak with Tsubasa, Immediately; he ended the conversation with his subordinate, giving him the last indications so that he could continue with his work. Knowing Tsubasa and his curiosity to meet the girl, he did not want him to fill her with questions or even worse, embarrass him with some of his comments trying to flatter him.
Tsubasa raised the corner of his lips at the appearance of the young president. "I'm not soft; I just like to give them opportunities."
"It's just another way of saying it." he said in a cold voice.
"I forgot you're too rude, Saito" he wrapped his shoulders. "But it's good that you join to the conversation, Yukimura-san and I are getting to know each other."
"I see" he looked at the young girl.
Chizuru smiled gently waving one of her hands at the stoic young man who smiled slightly.
"Tsubasa-san was telling us about his days at the university"
"I've heard many of those stories."
I guess there's still a lot to tell. "Harada scoffed.
"Of course, one of these days I will tell you how were Koundo and Hijikata at the university."
That will be interesting. "Harada looked at his watch." Now I have to go, I have some things to do before the break is over."
"So, then we agree to meet and talk a little."
"That would be great, see you later" Without saying anything else, Harada walked away towards the teachers' lounge.
"I also have to go to the cafeteria."Chizuru spoke attracting the attention of the two men. "Do you come, Saito-san?"
"Before, I have to go to the laboratory, you go ahead; I'll reach you in a moment."
Chizuru nodded. She thought about talking to Saito about tutoring, but it was not the best time. She would leave it for later. She looked at Tsubasa; he really seemed to her a very nice and polite man.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Tsubasa-san." she addressed the old man.
"me too, Yukimura-san." The girl smiled and walked away in the hallway.
Tsubasa turned to follow Saito, who had resumed his round. "Yukimura is really a beautiful girl."
"Yes, she is. She is beautiful on the outside as well as inside." The Stoic young spoke in a low voice.
Saito was an expert hiding his emotions, but Tsubasa could make out a slight change in the tone of his voice.
"And as I assumed, she's your admirer."
Saito sighed softly. He already knew, Chizuru was transparent, he could read her easily. If he was honest with himself, he liked to know that she admired him. "I do not know why you continue with that of the admirers" he said without expression and without stopping.
"They are an inspiration." he smiled.
Saito denied without saying anything else until he reached the laboratory and left his reports and then went to the cafeteria.
The library was not as quiet as it normally was due to the large student's movement. There were many students organizing books and cleaning the shelves in the hallways. That has only been part of the students punished doing the work imposed by the vice principal. Chizuru looked at the huge shelf in the library, in the history section where she had to leave the books that she took borrowed. The last corridor was almost empty, unlike the other areas in the library. She walked with slow steps looking for each section.
Always, she liked to rummage through books, but now she could not get too distracted. It was already lunch time and she still had not had the chance to talk to Saito. In the cafeteria, she had no chance, there were many people around and the boys entertained him with various topics, when she realized, the recess was over, and they had to go back to class.
She stopped for a moment to greet two of her classmates that kindly offered to help her, but she refused their help, she knew they were busy. Each one had a stack of books in his hands, and she did not want to give them more work of what they had. After the young men walked away, she looked again at the shelf, it was quite tall. She surprised to see Saito appear in the corridor with a notebook in his hands, apparently he was not surprised to see her,or, so she thought when he approached to her as if he expected her to be there.
"What are you doing, Chizuru?" He stopped in front of her, his appearance always calm.
"I came to return these books." she said, showing the books in her hands.
"Let me help you." the young man took the books and handed her his notebook, starting to look for each section.
"Thank you, Saito-san."
The young man nodded as he took the stairs from the corridor to go up and put the books in the right place.
"I really liked meeting Tsubasa-san, he's a nice person." Chizuru spoke, seeing Saito work.
"Yes, he is that kind of person, everyone likes him." he said descending the stairs, after placing the books. "You also liked him."
Chizuru was happy, she liked to meet the loved ones for Saito; it made her feel closer to him.
"it's curious, Saito-san." He looked at her intrigued. "You're a quiet guy, but the people closest to you are the opposite."
The young president outlined a slight smile "yes, it's strange, but I like them."
"That's good." she smiled. She saw him return to his usual expression while arranging his jacket, Chizuru handed him his notebook again receiving a thank you on his part.
"Saito-san, can I ask you something? It's about today's tutoring." she asked timidly, placing a lock of hair behind her ear, she always did it when she was nervous.
"What is it?" he was curious.
"My father will attend a conference in a few days and I need to be at home to receive some documents that he needs. Do you think ... could we study in my house? if you have time, of course. "
Saito stared at her for a few seconds. The girl seemed worried that he refuses her request. He would never refuse her requests; Chizuru had something that made him say yes that everything she asked. He liked to please her and see her happy, he would do everything to see her like that, of course, as long as it was not to be related to his work in the school, in that case he could not please her, even if he wanted.
Although, in reality she never involved in his work, not even when Souji, Heisuke or another of her closest friends were in trouble, on the contrary, she always defended him before the others arguing that he only did his work. Without hesitation, he would accept, Chizuru was interested in doing well on the exams, and he also was interested that she gets good grades.
"Sure, there's no problem." He smiled a little. "I need to stay a few minutes after school to leave some indications. You can wait for me if you want or, I'll reach you there."
Chizuru smiled broadly. "It's okay, I'll wait for you. Take the time you need. Thanks, Saito-san."
Saito smiled back, he liked the effort the girl was making to learn.
"Now let's go for lunch." she took his arm. "Okita-san and Heisuke-Kun must be impatiens." Without wasting time, they went to the roof where they had always lunch.
Hello, thank you guest for always giving me your opinion, I'm glad to know you like the story, Saito is sweet and complacent with Chizuru and he tries to take care of her, although he is not yet aware of his feelings towards the girl, but soon he will discover it.
