(Continuing From Last Chapter, The Very Next Day At The Ayoma Residence. . .)
Like any other morning near the young Saiyans home, a peaceful silence was only accompanied by the chirping birds that sang to their heart's content. His bedroom was dark due to the closed curtains, his body churning and twisting on his side of the bed before a small ray of sunlight hit him directly in his eyes. He frowned, grumbling words of damnation under his breath, "Morning already. . .why could you just wait five more minutes."
Tiredly, rose and straightened himself up from his comfy pillow before stretching his arms. He didn't feel physically tired but his mind wasn't exactly prepared for today in the slightest since he's been practically up the entire night. So much that it got to the point that 21 gave up on urging him to fall asleep but he was too engrossed in the book Master Roshi had given him. That said, after getting out a yawn, the Saiyan looked over at his wife who seemed to be still asleep on her side of the bed. She seemed to be having a nice dream or something, perhaps along the lines of enjoying the field of sweets as she danced and played. It wouldn't be the first time if he had to recall her occasional mutters. The mere thought made him let out a muse huff as he brushed the hair away from her face to get a better look at her sleeping form. If his phone wasn't charging then he'd probably take a picture and send it over to Ace with some sly joke as the caption but he second that when his eyes had trailed over towards her stomach area.
"Oh. . ." Kuzuku thought, almost forgetting an important detail, "That's right, I'm about to be a dad. . ."
After the whole reveal 21 gave him about her pregnancy, he didn't really have time to let that settle in afterwards. Who would after the fact that you nearly died fighting someone who looked like they took one too many supplements and mixed it in with their sauce that would go with their steaks? It just didn't cross his mind that the kid now growing inside her was in fact his and would soon become a new life that would experience their own fair share of hardships. He frowned, recalling back to his childhood as a reference. He would never want to wish that upon his own kid, not wanting them to go through the things he went through. Speaking of hardships, he couldn't help but ponder on the many other things he would have to deal with one it was born. Spending time with them and making their childhood a memorable one was easy enough but from recalling how he was, it might become a task comparable to battling an army of Frieza's. Well, that's to say if it is a boy after all. . .but if it's a girl, well he didn't want to think about the things he would have to do. But as of right now, he decided that dwelling on that will only make him waste time. Most of his thoughts sounded like he needed to discuss with 21 anyways.
"Welp, no use worrying too much!" He quietly told himself with slight excitement as he smiled, "Since I'm free, guess I'll start the first step towards Whis's suggestion."
With that decided, he clenched his fist and nodded before looking over towards his night dresser and he left the book after he was finally done with it. Though, that was when he realized something strange to say the least. His eyes widened as he stared blankly at the spot where the book used to reside. Yeah, used to. . .His expression morphed from bewildered surprise to genuine panic. He quickly rolled out of bed and began to hastily search for any sightings of the book while his brain was now operating at speeds that it probably shouldn't be moving at this time of day, "Come on, don't tell me I've already misplaced it. This might be a new record for me if I don't find it!" He really was trying his best to not make a lot of noise that it would disturb his sleeping wife. Recalling back to her most recent "mood-swing" he'd rather keep a good part of his house if possible.
With quick and quiet feet, he exited the room to search the other areas of his establishment regardless of how pointless even that action was. He could have sworn that he didn't do anything else with it or walked out of the room in the middle of the night to get something. He cupped his chin at that thought, "If I didn't lose it then perhaps it was stolen. If so, then that would mean. . ." At that moment, he reached the ends of the hallway and entered the kitchen, his eyes immediately noticing the sliding glass door slightly left open. Noticing this, he walked over as he was confident that only one person could possibly have taken the book. I mean, he was present when Roshi told him the origins behind it.
Once he was in reaching distance, he slid the door and stepped out into his open backyard area that he used for meditation training from time to time. Though, it was probably going to be used a bit more often than not since he will eventually have to work on that Ki refinement training Whis suggested. The Saiyan stood with a slightly curious look spelled across his face from what he saw. Crouching down with the book wide open and on full display on the grass was his space-traveling who seemed preoccupied on trying to figure something out; his fingers rubbing against his chin in deep thought. Kuzuku sighed with a bit of relief and began to walk towards him, the sound of his feet crushing the grass below causing the young man's ears to twitch a bit in response. Out of typical habit, the space-traveler turned to see the Saiyans smiling face as he greeted him with a morning salute.
"Morning!" Kuzuku said, his hands resting on his hips while the not on his dark gray sweats swayed with the cool breeze. He leaned down to take a peek at the book to see if it was in good condition. Thankfully enough, it was which earned an internal sigh of relief as his black T-shirt that was a bit past his waist hung off his body, "I see you're getting yourself busy early. Though, I didn't expect you'd be interested in something like this so much that you'd sneak into my room and take it while I was sleeping."
Ryo nervously chuckled as he scratched and ruffled his hair as Kuzuku pointed out his misdeeds, "Heheh, sorry about that. I bet you were looking for this." The Saiyan nodded at the book he was pointing at.
"Yeah I was and nearly had a heart-attack while I was at it," Kuzuku smirked before kneeling down to pick the book up off the grass so he could read. From what he could tell, it seemed he didn't get far into it as he was only on the first page, "So, I didn't know you were interested in this sort of stuff. I thought you'd be more like a tourist or some sort."
Brushing some of the loose grass off his pants, the space-traveler affirmed, "Well, it's not like I wasn't exposed to it before from all the other planets I went to but I always saw it in a more, well . . .barbaric form. But, I guess the way you fight sort of sparked my interest."
"I see. . .," Kuzuku muttered into a smirk as he handed him the book before taking a couple of steps forward. Ryo was a bit confused by what he was going to do though the Saiyan remained quiet until he got a good distance away, "You seem intrigued enough to be unable to resist the urge to take the book without my permission. If that's the case, then how about you train with me?"
It was clear by Ryo's expression that he wasn't expecting that, his eyes widened in full surprise, "Wait, wait, wait! You're really going to let me train with you? Don't you think I'll be in the way? I'm kind of a novice, you know?" Kuzuku chuckled, gesturing his hand in the forms of an assuring wave of encouragement.
"Nah, don't sweat it! The fact that you can fly is a good start and learning a new Martial Arts doesn't require you to fire an energy wave! Besides, I'm learning from scratch as well, heheh!" the Saiyan noted.
Like a kid learning he was going to the candy store, Ryo did little-skips in place with a wide grin on his face, his fist pumping into the air, "Alright, if you say so! So, what do we start with first!?" Kuzuku's tail curved and scratched the top of his head at the question. The feeling made him look upward as he began to think. Where on Earth should he start anyways?
"Not sure, but judging by the first page you were looking at, I would assume that the first technique is the basic one," Kuzuku suggested, before further adding, "How about we figure it out and practice it first before we move onto the others."
Ryo nodded in understanding, "Okay, but when you mean by practice, how much should we do once we get the motion down?" Kuzuku blinked in slight confusion at the obvious question that would be simple to answer.
"Uhh, since we're starting out, 5 sets of 500 of course. . ." He replied.
"You're joking, right? Hahahah!" Ryo chuckled aloud.
However, Kuzuku didn't seem to show any signs of amusement and kept his mouth shut, his eyes darting away over to the side as the space-traveler continued to laugh. Though, it didn't take long for him to realize the Saiyan's blank and slightly nervous facial expression which led to his fits of laughter to dial down to a simmer.
Ryo reluctantly smirked, "Kuzuku. . .you're joking, right?"
". . ."
He got no response and in that moment, his face crestfallen as he finally realized that he was indeed serious about what he said. If he had a mirror, he could see how pale his face got as they stood in awkward silence in the middle of the backyard area until he let out a low, painful squeak, "Oh. . .okay. . ."
(Meanwhile, At Brief Family's Capsule Corp Home Residing In West City. . .)
The Brief family home could only be described by the neighbors and people who were just passing by as. . .well, very busy. For instance, Bulma was by far held up by call after call so much that she had barely had time to work on her latest project that was a secret to even her closest co-worker. Meanwhile, Trunks was still stuck on baby-sitting duty as per usual with only the occasional time to actually train with his father as on top of that he had lessons to take care of as well. Which only left the Saiyan prince himself and his two students that he had taken under his wing.
The gravity room was set to pretty moderate settings due to the two universe 6 Saiyans having a small sparring match inside at the moment. In hindsight, Lottus managed to deflect and brush off his fellow apprentice to the side before retaliating with an uppercut from below. But, Cabba through his years of experience was sharp enough to see it coming and leaned back in order to let the strike graze his chin. Knowing that he was closer, the Saiyan soldier took the chance to knee his prince in the stomach, stunning him long enough for him to follow up with a firm fist across the face. The blow itself caused Lottus to skid across the floor on his shoulder before flipping himself up and onto his feet. As soon as he looked up, he noticed Cabba rushing straight towards him at full speed with a punch already hurling towards him. With quick reflexes, the Universe 6 prince backfisted his punch away while almost immediately following up with one of his own only for it to be blocked halfway towards its target by the brushing of his forearm.
They both grunted and seeing how they were only inches apart, they decided at the same time to go in for a knee aimed at each other's stomach which only resulted in them clashing into one powerful shockwave that caused the room to tremble a bit. Struggling, they both fought for dominance over who would lose their balance first, their eyes glued onto each other as if they were trying to burn holes through the skull. However, it didn't take long for Cabba to notice a small smirk forming on Lottus's face. He was confused, thinking that he had somehow sneaked in a sneaky Ki blast without him noticing. But, that wasn't it at all. With a quick transition, the Universe 6 prince unleashed a bright, golden flash of light as he quickly turned Super Saiyan which in return shocked his sparring partner to the point he was off guard. Wasting no time to take the opportunity to gain an upper hand, Lottus immediately socked Cabba across the face with a strong right hook that sent him flying across the room.
Groaning from the pain on his cheek as his eyes were slightly shut only for them to open just in time to realize he was about to hit the wall, Cabba couldn't help but grumble, "Cheap move but two can play it that game! Haaaaaah!" In a short burst, he quickly transformed into a Super Saiyan as well before firing a quick Ki blast in the process, the sudden action causing Lottus's eyes to widen at how fast it was. Quick thinking in mind, the prince extended his arm out to block the energy wave that collided with the palm of his hand. The impact alone caused a rumbling explosion that again shook the Gravity Room once more while leaving behind a smokescreen that obscured his surroundings. With heightened senses, his eyes searched and searched for any signs of movements within the smoke with a small smile on his face.
"Don't think you can hide, Cabba," Lottus warned, "No matter how much you try to hide your energy, I can still sense you-!"
Before he could so much as finish that sentence, a figure came out of the smoke at high speeds. With haste, he assumed that it'd be the Saiyan soldier trying to catch him off guard mid-sentence but he musely smirked as he thought that he wasn't giving him much credit on how focused he was. Countering, the Universe 6 prince roared into a kick that was meant to shatter his opponent's plans in an instant. However, what he felt was definitely not his fellow Saiyan but only the piece of armor that he wore that now was shattered into shards. His eyes widened in confusion until he heard the sound of flickering bolts of electricity. Immediately his eyes darted behind him the instant Cabba appeared from the smoke in his Super Saiyan 2 state.
"That's what I was hoping for!" Cabba shouted with a grin. Wasting no time, he immediately went in for a strong kick that was aimed directly at Lottus's head. It was so much faster that Universe 6 barely had time to block and only time for one thing. In record time, Lottus immediately turns Super Saiyan 2 as well before tanking the blow to his head that sent him skipping against the hard floor a few times. He grunted but he knew it could have been a lot worse as he flipped himself in order to rebound off the wall towards his opponent who was surprised by how fast he reacted. It was only for mere moments for the distance to be closed as their opposite fists hurled past each other only to be caught by the opposing hand. At the same time, their opposite knees also clashed as well, leaving them with only one leg to work while they butted heads in order to stare each other down.
"Didn't think you'd react that fast to that kick. You managed to reduce the damage by turning Super Saiyan 2 as well, impressive as always Prince Lottus!" Cabba complimented with a growl.
The Universe 6 prince chuckled a bit, "Yeah, and that smokescreen maneuver caught me off guard. Though, you weren't the youngest squad leader ever for nothing! Anyways, let's take a small break for now and pick up later!" Cabba nodded, smiling at the compliment before they both leapt backwards to reset themselves. They were panting, as they had been at this spar for quite a while. Relaxing their bodies, the Universe 6 males decided to power down to conserve energy before walking over to the towel rack that Bulma installed for them to wipe off the sweat.
Though, as they each grabbed a towel, there was but one more Saiyan who seemed to be training as they took their break. He was sitting in the center of the room, his legs crossed and eyes closed as he seemed oblivious to his surroundings. But that was far from the case. He had been sitting in that position since he had gotten home from his divine training session with the Angel. The closest thing to movement was him talking to his wife who would come in to deliver him food and water since she was adamant that he should continue to eat if he wanted to stay fit. Yeah, just another thing added to Bulma's list of assisting her husband with his training. That said, the Universe 7 prince's current exercise was a bit out of character for him. From what one who has known him for a long time, Vegeta's training style had always been more on developing his raw power and fighting senses. It was the basis on how he fought throughout his entire lifetime and he never changed it as it always worked out for him in situations where Goku would probably get caught up in. But now, he was simply trying to relax his body and meditate as he focused on mental training.
It was simple really as Vegeta's thoughts focused mostly one what Whis had said, "Right now, focusing on the mental part of my Ki should be first. If I gather correctly, physical components of Ki are easier to develop through typical training and the increased gravity will help with that. . .which leads to only mental and spirit. Out of the three of us, I first have to acknowledge that in the component I'm lacking. So this should be my first priority." With that in mind, the prince remained focused on training his mind. He wasn't going to lie, at first it felt like a waste of time but as time went on, his Ki began to feel studier than usual though it was only just a bit. From this, he could finally understand why the Namekian spends so much time meditating. Though, as he sat, his students continued to stare at him with blank expressions before looking at each other.
"What kind of training do you think Master Vegeta is doing?" Cabba wondered.
Lottus shrugged and flung his towel to the wall as he was done wiping his face, "Don't know, but I guess it must be something that requires a great deal of focus for him to simply have us spar. Not that I mind it."
"Of course you wouldn't. . .," Cabba sighed, tossing his towel to the side as well.
The Universe 6 prince chuckled, "Heh, anyways, let's get back to it!" Wasting no time, he began walking back towards the sparring area that they had claimed while Vegeta continued his own training. It was going to be a long process but something tells him that it'll be worth it in the end. He just couldn't wait to see the results once he became the first to complete the training.
(In The Vast Space Of Universe 6 Towards The Corner, Champa's Planet . . .)
As far as everything had been going on since the Tournament of Power, Universe 6 has seemed completely normal as things resumed as how they should be. No one except for the participant at the tournament itself seems to even remember being erased from existence which was a good thing. Saved their destroyer and attendant a lot of time from destroying and more time catering to their luxuries outside of destroying planets. However, as of right now. . .something didn't feel right. As the wind blew against the trees below the palace's grassy field while the light, purple sky that matched the fur of the owner, a female Angel stood at the edge of the open room. She seemed to be preoccupied or rather. . .curious. So much that she could barely hear the footsteps of her assigned master walking up to her from behind.
"Vados, weren't you supposed to be tending to those plants you love so much? The hell are you doing up here?" the God of Destruction complained.
The Angel didn't-well she did but it was an uncharacteristic response. One that caught the humanoid cat off guard as she made a face that he hadn't seen for a long time, "My apologies, Lord Champa. But, don't you think something feels. . .strange?"
"Strange?" Champa murmured, "If you are talking about something strange, then it would be my brother leaving off to train. Man, who would think that lazy bum finally took his position seriously for a change."
Vados chuckled and added a little joke on the side, "Well, you aren't much different my lord."
"Watch it, Va-!" He growled until his attendant's voice returned back to that serious tone from before.
"But that wasn't what I was referring to. . .," She interrupted and affirmed, leaving her God of Destruction confused. She looked back out into the distant sky, her eyes narrowing in on the very thing that has gotten her concerned, "Planet Tereta has been destroyed. . ."
The name of the planet being destroyed finally got a reaction out of Champa. His eyes perked up in surprise before narrowing back down into a serious demeanor, "You mean the planet that was set for destruction soon? From what I heard, it was so dangerous that those Saiyans from Sadala didn't want to try and deal with them due to how hostile and unreasonable those lizard people were. Was it from natural causes?" Vados took a minute to shake her head.
"No, I'm certain that the planet was far from the end of its life. But, what I sensed was an enormous presence that came and went. It wasn't no god that's for sure," Vados confirmed.
"An enormous presence? Are you telling me some mere mortal managed to subdue those barbarians and we never knew about his or her existence beforehand? This is starting to feel ominous don't you think? Can you track him?" Champa asked, his intrigue spiked by such a feat being possible.
The angel stood silent once more, her senses attempting to track the current location of the Ki signature she felt. However, all she could do was shake her head, "No, I don't sense it any more even though I could have sworn it was heading towards the Solar System those Saiyans resided in. He's either not in this universe or he's masking it. Either way, we don't know exactly where he is going."
"Whoever it is, we'll have to keep an eye out. It's kind of suspicious that someone would even dare to enter that planet's vicinity let alone destroy it," Champa noted.
Nodding in agreement, Vados couldn't shake a feeling she had. She wasn't sure what it was exactly about it that bothered her but the entire scenario just had something different about it. Like, this wasn't the first time, in fact, things like this happen all the time in any universe whether it was 6, 7, or the rest. But this ominous feeling made her entirely weary and for once, her God of Destruction was right. Both of them had to keep an eye out for whoever it was to figure out whether this threat is just some typical space criminal or was he something more. . .
(Meanwhile, Somewhere In Another Part Of Universe 6 Near Planet Sadala. . .)
The regions of space were filled with space dust and celestial bodies that floated through the colorful universe. The stars were vibrant and glistening from light years away but that light was nothing compared to what was to come. On one of the many floating rocks that resembled that of a broken fragment from a moon, the mysterious person sat on a square boulder as moon dust was blowing around him. He was taking a good break since he did have time to kill. It wasn't like he was in any rush or anything.
With the wind, his cloak began to flow with the as he stared towards the direction of his next target. His hands were folded in front of him as his impassive expression indicated that he was indeed in deep thought on coming up with a plan, "Now. . .I wonder how I should start the selection this time? Finding the one we need that can handle this thing is always a pain. It always leads to me getting my hands bloody from trying to pick them out one by one in the end but if that's what master wants then so be it. . ."
He stood up from his seating position and scurried through his cloak pocket before taking out the object from before, its luminous shining beautifully. He grinned at the anticipation with the winds picking up speed as the cloak on his back revealed a symbol. It. . .took the shape of a golden wheel, one with eight sharp spokes enclosed with a circle at which at the end of the edge of each spoke was three spheres stacked on top of each other. In the center of the wheel was a lotus that sprouted in the middle and took the shape of a vortex.
After some more minutes of rest, he let out a sigh of excitement, muttering to himself "I suppose it's time to start moving again. I don't get much longer until I finally reach that so-called planet. It's good that those so-called gods are unable to accurately detect my presence. It'd be troublesome if I had to fight an Angel without proper back-up. Anyways. . ." He smirked as he got down into a squat as if he was about to leap. His grin widened before finally getting his muscle activated.
"Time to go!" He claimed, his feet kicking off the ground as he took off flying through the vast void of space once more, leaving nothing but an immense crater behind. He was speeding past planets and stars quickly as Planet Sadala would soon be unprepared for the approaching danger that will soon unfold upon them.
(Returning Back To Earth, Back At The Ayoma Residence Near Mount Pao. . .)
"Phew, that makes 500!" Kuzuku exclaimed with his breath being a bit winded.
Hearing this, Ryo collapsed on the grass drenched in sweat though he held a tired smile on his face, "Finally, to think you do stuff like this so easily. But honestly, it feels kinda good." He looked up at the noon sky as it practically took them the entire morning to finish. Mostly because the two young men had to make sure their posture and movements were perfect as per suggested by the Saiyan. Truth be told they did mess up a few times leading them to not count each of those failed reps in the middle of practice but eventually they got it done before it was lunch.
"You'll get used to it eventually," Kuzuku chuckled before adding, "Besides, I think it was a good thing we practiced so many reps in the first place. Especially since I've figured out something interesting."
Ryo raised an eyebrow as Kuzuku decided to get into a stance to demonstrate; his arms hover over each of his that were now spread wide. The Saiyan smirked as he wanted to put his theory into practice, "You see, the diagrams do show the technique and movements needed to perform it but one thing was strange to me."
"Strange? What did you see?" Ryo wondered.
The young Saiyan focused on the waterfall that had always been in his backyard, making sure that he didn't damage 21's lab that was on the opposite side, "It was the wind that was surrounding the person in each model. Normally I would think that it was for design purposes but what if they were part of the technique? When we were actually practicing the movement, that's when it hit me. . ." At that moment, the wind began to grow thinner as Kuzuku tensed his body. His muscle began to tightened while his eyes narrowed in on the flow of water just several feet away.
Once he felt it was right, his right leg swung diagonally upwards while his opposite arm protected his face with the remaining arm behind him. However, the force generated was enough to split the water below and up the waterfall so deep that the ground beneath the waters was no exception to the power of the kick itself. Even along the walls and top of the waterfall were cut in half as well until water began to retake its shape moments later. All the while the space-traveler watched in complete awe at the feat before while the Saiyan turned after letting his leg touch the ground, a smirk forming on his face that indicated he was correct.
"This technique was the beginning form for a reason. To produce such power with what would seem to be a simple kick, it forces us to focus more on the "central point" during our rotation into the kick rather than just kicking normally," Kuzuku noted before further explaining, "By doing this, our Ki is focus more internally rather than exerted it outward to produce power. This combined with the rotation generates a "wind" that can be freely manipulated and gathered before reaching striking point. That coupled with the arm motion to gain a bit more rotation and added balance to compensate for the power unleashed. In theory and practice, we could probably use them one after another, creating a constant spinning rotation of kicks that are just as powerful as the last from different angles while still being efficient in the amount of Ki used since the power unleashed is separate from Ki entirely which does make it harder to control once unleashed. Aside from that, combining these aspects is what creates a Kechuku according to the book."
Ryo awed at how quickly he could figure out the first technique though one thing did make him wonder as he stood up from the grass below, "I see, that's really impressive that you've figured it out. But does that also mean it'd be possible to create a strike that is so concentrated that it doesn't require your body to waste a single movement?" Kuzuku raised an eyebrow at this.
"Hmm, I get where you are getting at but doesn't that seem like a bit out of our ballpark right now since it'll require one's focus to be borderline absurd?" the Saiyan wondered.
Despite the pessimism, Ryo's optimistic demeanor only made him grin at this as he looked to the sky above, "I don't think so, truthfully. You see, from what I've seen so far, I think it's possible for you to make this martial art into something special. I think it'd be cool to see something that is able to transcend the sky above no matter how far it is. I mean, we've only scratched the surface and you plan on completing this style in your own unique way, right!?" His grinning face was enough to make Kuzuku freeze on the spot. If were a betting man then he could probably call this guy the most positive person he knew aside from Goku. . .and that's saying something. Though, it wasn't a bad thing as he felt a little more encouraged to try, his smirk forming on his face.
"Yeah, guess we have our work cut out for us, huh?" Kuzuku chuckled, earning a few bits of giggles from the space-traveler.
The two shared a good moment of laughter together, not really out of humor but because of how they simply were enjoying the moment. However, the wind suddenly began to pick up as the Saiyan began to sense two approaching Ki signatures from above. He smirked and turned to greet them as they landed just several feet in his backyard, their clothes dirty while being drenched in sweat. With a smile, he waved them a good afternoon hello out of habit due to the courtesy of a certain Universe 7 Saiyan.
"Hey, Kale, Caulifla! You two stayed longer than I expected? What did she make you guys do?" Kuzuku asked.
The feisty female Saiyan growled as she began to walk towards him, "I don't want to talk about it. . .I'm going to sleep." Before he could even ask her further, she walked past him and opened the door before closing it shut as she made her way to the couch thus leaving Kuzuku to stare in confusion. He turned to Kale, hoping that he'd get an answer from her instead in which she nervously laughed albeit cutely.
"Don't worry, . was very helpful and we actually seemed like we were getting close until. . .you know, she snapped and got angry at Sis who commented on her eating habits," Kale explained.
Finally getting it, Kuzuku chuckled and ruffled the locks in her hair as he gave a toothy grin, "Ah, now I understand. A Saiyans mood-swings could be the difference between breathing and living. I guess you guys got the good end of the stick. You can head inside and get some good rest, okay?"
"Thank you, -Kuzuku," Kale stuttered, nearly mistaking to call him by his first name.
It was a step at least that she was saying his last name less though if he could get rid of the honorifics it'd be better. With a nod, she followed the path to the door and entered the home to get her own well-deserved rest as the two stood among the flowing grass beneath their feet. The sound of the door opening and closing indicated that they were once more left alone, leaving them to train amongst themselves once more. Kuzuku sighed into a smile as he looked over to Ryo.
"Anyways, shall we get back to it? We still have another 500 to go!" The Saiyan enthused.
The space-traveler's face crestfallen, the pigments of his face growing a bit pale, "W-wait, we weren't done!"
"Nope, heheh!" Kuzuku grinned, "I normally go for 1000 per day when working on my martial arts. I guess you could say it's become a habit that I simply couldn't break."
"Aw man, really? Is there anything I can do to sway you?" Ryo complained with a pout.
The Saiyan shook his head, smirking slyly with a playful tone, "Nope, there is nothing you can do to-" Before he could complete that sentence, the door slid open for about the third time since they began their small break. Curious this time, he looked over to the direction of the sound only to see his wife holding a large pillow. She seemed sleepy and barely even awake as she wore a large, black T-Shirt most likely taken from Kuzuku's closet though from what they could tell. . .she definitely had no pajamas on that's for sure.
"Kuzuku. . .?" 21 tiredly muttered as she looked over at the owner of that name.
The Saiyan didn't know how to react and simply greeted, "Hey, sweetcheeks. . .since you aren't at work, I could assume you had morning sickness agai-"
"Sleep," She simply said.
Kuzuku stood for a moment, trying to process the meaning behind a single word, "What?" She walked up to him and wrapped his arms around his back and rested her head against his chest. He wasn't going to lie, this had to be on the top ten list of things that she did that made his heart nearly stop on contact.
"I want to sleep. . ." 21 repeated a little bit more clearly though she still sounded tired as hell.
"Umm. . .okay, then why don't you head back to bed then? I can carry yo-" Kuzuku offered until she added. . .
"I want you to come too. . .," 21 interrupted, her tone a bit more groggy, "I want. . .my cuddles. . ."
Yup, this just shot up from top ten to five. Out of all the things that nearly killed him, this had to be somewhere along that list. He chuckled inwardly and nervously, his blush forming on his face while he could already tell Ryo was either grinning at the situation he was in or outright laughing internally. That or it was both, "Ummm, can I at least finish training fir-" His sentence was stopped once more, leaving him to believe that he most certainly had no say in this. Before he knew it, she had already captured his lips with her own and held it there for what felt like a good minute. A minute that definitely felt more than it should. Once they separated, he looked down in a mixture of pure shock, bliss, and most importantly fear. Fear as in the fact that she was giving him the look that meant if he didn't comply, things were going to get ugly.
"Training over. Bedroom, now. . .! She groggily growled with her hand ready to fire an energy blast at point blank range at any moment.
Knowing full well there was no way out of this, Kuzuku simply sighed and lifted her up bridal style, prompting her to wrap her arms around his neck for support as she rested her eyes. Though, her husband held a disappointed face as he affirmed, "Okay. . . just so you won't blow up anything today. More specifically me. . ." Hearing this, she smiled in complete victory while Kuzuku had to deal with the bitter defeat as Ryo happy cheering was all he could hear as he went inside with his wife in hand.
A/N: Yo, sorry if these last couple of chapters are feeling a bit slow and that this chapter is a bit late compared to other releases. I'm slowing the pace down so that the progress is more fleshed out rather than speeding through things without much explanation. As my thought process during this chapter, it was basically meant to continue from where the previous chapter left off while showcasing a small scene of Vegeta working on the part of his Ki that focuses on his Mind. This way it doesn't feel like I completely time-skip too much and actually let you guys know that they are really training off-screen (It basically feels less random to say the least).
That aside, the main two parts of this chapter are obviously the foreshadow arc that you guys should already have figured out by now and expanding on what Teiryudo techniques are based off. There isn't much to say on the mysterious man but I'll be generous to say that the symbol on the back of his cloak may or may not have something to do with the plot. As for Teiryudo and the first technique learned after spending their entire morning on it, I'll try to give a move analysis at the end of each chapter when they are revealed just so people are less confused.
Teiryudo: Kechuku- Kechuku is the first and basic technique of Teiryudo that the rest of the techniques are derived from. From initial glance, Kechuku appears to be a simple roundhouse kick that relies on an open-palm arm motion to balance with the opposite arm from the kicking leg used to defend predominantly the face while the other arm blocks out attacks to the ribs. Needless to say, this motion is mainly used to balance and generate more power. But, the main key to performing a Kechuku is focusing on gathering Ki internally into a central point of rotation from both the hips and foot axis/ball of the foot. This grants a sudden burst of Ki beneath the feet and hips internally to gather "wind". This "wind" is often referred to as some kind of energy produced by the force created yet it is entirely separate from Ki and simply takes the form of gusts of air gathering around the kick. However, due to this, the power of this technique is hard to control and often leads to more destruction needed to be though that's more than likely because Kuzuku and Ryo aren't used to the technique just yet. It is also noted that "wind" can take on different colors depending on the wielder's Ki with Kuzuku's being pure white with a hint of dark-orange streams.
Well that's one technique down but imo, it definitely explains it better than in the chapter due to Kuzuku having no idea about this type of information just yet. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and Until we meet again!
