Saito left everything in their place after sending Tsubasa the last information he needed to end the topic of the tour. He was grateful he had finished with that, now he could occupy his time with others important things. It lacks were less than two hours to see Chizuru, and he felt anxious. Their little meeting felt different that in other occasions. The fact, that Souji and Heisuke did not accompany them this time; it gave a more intimate touch to the date. God knows how much he appreciated the company of the guys, after all, they were his friends, but he liked the idea of celebrating this occasion alone with her. He was determined to find out why all his feelings were fluttering around her.

They had agreed to meet in the park square, near the downtown cafe. For him would not have cared to pick her home, but the girl refused, arguing that his apartment was much closer, and that it was not fair for him to travel until there just to pick her up. That was not a problem for him, but he did not argue, he just let her do what she wanted. He felt weakness for Chizuru, and the strangest thing was that he didn't want to do anything to remedy it.

A hot shower was all he needed to relax. It made only a few hours that he had seen her, however, his desire to see the young girl was impressive. Something was definitely happening with him.

He dressed in a black jean, a white sweater, a black jacket and sport shoes of the same color, he felt good. He never liked uncomfortable suits. His hair was something else, it was rebellious and there was not much he could do with it, so he combed it as best he could. Being satisfied with the result, he took his wallet and his watch, checking that it was almost time and he got out of the bedroom.

He liked being punctual and leaving Chizuru waiting was something he never intended to do. He went to the living room, he took his cell phone from the dining room where he was working and put it inside his jacket. Just when he was looking for the keys to the apartment, someone knocked on the door.

Saito frowned; he did not expect any visitors. Whoever it was would have to leave. He did not think for a second of canceling his appointment. Quickly, he opened the door just to meet his neighbor Mitsue.

The young man and his grandfather were among the few people he had socialized with in the building. He studied at the same university that Tsubasa worked, and he used to be very kind to him. He was a few years older, but he liked him as well as his grandfather. He knew them very little, but they seemed to be good people.

"Hi, Saito-San." The man young greeted with kindness.

"Hi!" He replied in his usual serious tone.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine. What about you?"

"I can't complain." Mitsue grinned. "Sorry to interrupt, I see you're output"

"It's ok, I have a few minutes." Saito moved to let him pass; he didn't want to waste much time with Mitsue. "What do you need?"

"I spoke with Tsubasa-San about the outing. He told me to ask you for a ticket, I really do not want to stay out."

The young indigo nodded, walking to the bookseller where he kept the tickets. In The last week, more students had been added to the excursion, he supposed that it could happen because the Tsubasa's trips were famous.

"I know there are only a few days left" the young man continued, "but I had another project, and I was not sure if I might go, but it was canceled and here I am."

Saito didn't say anything, he was not asking for an explanation. He just wanted to finish with Mitsue, so he could leave. He pulled a ticket out of a drawer of the bookseller and approached the young man.

"Fill out the information and give it to Tsubasa-San, today if it's possible." He handed the paper that Mitsue took quickly.

"Thanks," he said with a half smile. "It's a lucky that there was still space. I know a lot of students will attend.

"I'm glad you can go. I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

"Me too. Well, I do not distract you anymore, sure you have to go."

Saito nodded once more and the young man walked away, raising a hand in farewell. Immediately Mitsue left, the young president turned around, picked up his keys and left the apartment closing the door behind him. Chizuru was waiting for him and all he wanted was to be with her.

Chizuru put on her a little of her favorite fragrance after looked at herself in the mirror for the third time to see how she looked. She had chosen a simple and casual clothe for her meeting with Saito. A peach-colored half sleeve blouse, with a white pleated short skirt and closed low-heeled shoes that did not make her look very tall, but were quite comfortable. Her hair was picked up as usual, on one side of her right shoulder with a small ornament brooch. She looked good, in her opinion.

She took her bag that was on the bed and went down to the living room. After checking that everything was properly closed, she left the house. She was very happy. It was a nice day, and she was very happy to meet with Saito, she liked to share her joy with him, especially since, he was the main responsible for her passing her math exam. She was excited about spending time alone with him that wasn't for study. There were still many things that she wanted to know about him and today could be a good opportunity for her to know him more.

She walked quietly through the streets while the sun's rays caressed her skin. She could have taken the bus, but she was still in time to arrive with Saito, and she preferred to walk and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The park was not very far after all.

When she arrived at the place and walked towards the square, she saw him. He was observing attentively a leafy Sakura tree. Chizuru sighed softly, stopping for a moment as she lost herself in his form. She acknowledged that Saito was the one guilty that all the girls to sigh for him, he was really handsome, especially when he smiled, even if only was for a few seconds. If she had not known him, and she had seen him in the streets at some time, she would have bet that he was a magazine model. When the young man turned in her direction, she resumed her steps, giving him a soft smile. With him she always wanted to smile.

Saito could not help but lift the corners of his lips in a little smile to see her arrive, dedicating a sweet smile just for him. That girl was beautiful, the most beautiful he had seen. He felt lucky to have known her and that she included him in her life as if she had known him since ever. Many did not have that opportunity, and he was not going to waste it.

"Hi" She greeted him with her sweet tone of voice.

"Hi," He watched her carefully as she placed a lock of hair behind her ear. She looked like nervous. He wanted to tell her how beautiful she looked, but the words just did not come out. He had never does anything like it before, so I did not know how to express it.

"I hope I did not make you wait too long." She broke the thread of his thoughts.

"I just arrived." He replied softly. In fact, he had arrived a few minutes before the hour, but he was not going to tell her that. It was good for him, take some fresh air and relax a little.

"Well," She smiled contentedly, entangling her arm with his, as she did when she felt comfortable. He would not admit it out loud, but he liked it.

"You're very handsome," sHe said suddenly as they started walking through the park. "Are you going somewhere else after here?"

Saito could distinguish the tone of amusement in her voice, but that did not prevent the burning in his cheeks. Luckily, he was taller than Chizuru, and she couldn't look him in the face, he also appreciated that his hair hid part of his face. Suddenly he felt ashamed that the girl was braver than him was in certain aspects. She was not afraid to express her feelings; however to him it cost a lot.

"I should ask the same ... you look very pretty."He dared to say it, his voice was low, but enough so that she could hear him. He looked at her, being rewarded by her pale cheeks flushed.

"Thanks," She replied timidly, Saito's compliments made her too nervous. She liked that he considered her pretty.

"I would not go anywhere without you." He said after a few minutes of silence, watching as her pretty face lit up.

"Me neither." She smiled.

Crossing the street, they entered the café. The place was full, but luckily they found a table in the background and near the window. Saito looked at the girl who admired the landscape through the windows; before he also turns his attention outside, it was a beautiful scenery, the park looked very clear from their position. The children's ran and playing, while most adults enjoyed the sun and fresh air. He liked that. He turned to look at Chizuru again. They were different, he knew, but they also had things in common, and those things, even if they were small, were enough for him. The conversations between them were always so comfortable that he would not really bother to talk with her all day.

"Saito-San!" The girl looked him with her big brown eyes.

"Hmm?" He reclined in the back of his chair to be more comfortable.

"Have you ever thought that we would be here, after our first meeting a little ...I don't know ..unexpected?" Chizuru asked timidly. Although they had come many times to the place after that, they had never spoken of that day and suddenly she was curious to know his opinion.

Saito looked at her in silence. The girl still looked embarrassed to touch the issue, but he didn't understand the reason, their meeting was not the best of all, but it was not bad either, he still remembered how light she felt in his arms. No matter how it happened, he liked to meet her.

"No, but I'm glad it happened." He smiled a little. "Actually, the umbrella you were having didn't favor you very much." He commented with a hint of amusement.

"No" Chizuru made a nice pout. "And as if I had not had enough, I go and I'm ashamed in front of you."

"You did not have to feel embarrassed, it was not something that you planned, it was just a little stumble, nothing more."

Chizuru nodded. She knew that Saito would say something like that. But that did not make disappear how ashamed she felt in front of him that day. He looked so comfortable in his place, and she only went to get him out of his state of peace.

"You looked very calm that day, as if you were not there." She continued.

"I was just adapting to the place. A new city always brings changes. "

Chizuru didn't understand why, but there was something that pushed her to want to know everything about him.

"Can I ask you something, Saito-San?" She dared to ask, she did not want to make him feel uncomfortable being so curious.

"Go ahead." He said without looking away. Sometimes, she felt very nervous when his blue eyes settled on her so intensely.

"Why did you leave Tokyo? It's a very beautiful and much bigger city; surely, there you had much more entertainment than here, more friends." She looked at Saito that still looks at her with an intense but at the same time soft look, so she continued.

"I mean ... I'm glad you did, because that brought you here and I do not want you to leave, never, I just ... I wanted to know ..." her voice trailed off. She really did not know what else to say without looked like too curious. The least she wanted was to bother Saito.

Saito propitiated the ghost of a smile. It was curious how Chizuru could be so shy when she wanted to know something about him. Maybe she thought that it would bother him, but it never did, not with her. Her words only made his heart jump. Did she doesnt wants him to leave? He didn't want to leave either. Controlling his emotions, he answered truthfull

"I'm not a guy with of a lot of movement as you can see." He pointed. "In Tokyo I did not have many friends, so that was not a big problem either."

Chizuru was surprised at that fact. Saito was such a nice guy; so nice. He should have had a lot of friends. However, she did not inquire about it and just she let him continue.

"I always wanted to study in another place, and when I finally decided it, Kyoto was the first place I thought about. I must say that my father was not very happy with that." The last words, he said without thinking. The last thing he wanted at that moment was to talk about his father. Although with her, he would not mind.

"Because he was going to miss you." The girl added, as if it was the most obvious reason.

"Maybe." He inspired softly. He knew her kind heart; of course she always thought the best of people. "But my father is more demanding than that, girl; it's also one of the reasons why I decided to move. Another day,I'll tell you about that, really is not a very funny story." He said low. He did not want to ruin his afternoon nor of the girl talking about things that stressed him.

Chizuru nodded with a soft smile. She did not want to bother Saito with more questions; she just wanted to spend a nice afternoon with him. If he wanted to tell her something else, he would do it whenever he wanted; she was not going to push him.

"I know I've told you many times, but I'm very glad you're here."

"Why?" He dared to ask. He really wanted to know.

"Because you're an amazing person and I really cannot imagine any scenario where you are not " She replied, giving him a beautiful smile.

Saito smiled back, all his emotions, making havoc inside him. Was he so important for her? Because, she was for him, too important.

"It's the best decision I've made." He said softly.

Chizuru smiled again. She raised looked up when the waitress who was going to take their order appeared. She was one of the girls that always accompanied Mizuki behind the bar. Few times Chizuru had seen her taking the orders, but to seeing her look at Saito fixedly, while she smiled him of a coquette way, gave to the young girl chestnut an idea of why reason she changed her position. Saito just looks at the girl for a second and then back to her, waiting for her to order first, so she did.

She ordered a piece of vanilla cake and a Strawberry shake. Instead, Saito preferred a sandwich and an orange juice. For both they ordered some cinnamon cookies that were a delight in the place.

The young girl returned with their order minutes later trying again to attract the attention of the Saito. Chizuru rolled her eyes as she took the fork and sank it lightly on the cake to take a small bite. She should be accustomed to the girls who looked at the young man all the time, but her selfish side always took the control. She grinned for herself when the young girl walked away. It was again just them.

"Is the cake good?" He asked with a small smile, seeing her savor the dessert with fascination.

Chizuru nodded "Do you want to taste?"

"No thanks. The sandwich looks more appetizing for me." He admitted.

Chizuru smiled taking another bite of cake. "I bet yes."

They ate in a pleasant conversation. Chizuru told him the fun activities that she usually realized on vacation with his friends. Saito also told him about the different places he visited with his family and about the excursion of Tsubasa. She loved talking to him, because he listened to her, not for obligation, but for interest, for what she had to say. He was gentlemanly and very attentive to her, and that you could not find in all the guys.

"So, will you not go to the excursion with Tsubasa–San?" The girl asked amazed when the young man told her about it. Saito had practically taken over the whole organization. Why he would not attend?

The Stoic young man denied softly while sipping a sip his orange juice.

"Why?"

"Too many strangers people around. Everything is ready, Tsubasa –san does not need me anymore." Being honest, neither he did not want to go without his friends.

Chizuru looked at him in silence, she did not think about that. She simply assumed that he wanted to go. She also would felt strange among so many unknown people.

"Tsubasa –san will speak with Hijikata–san and koundo –san to organize one for us. I assure you that I will not miss that trip for nothing."

Chizuru nodded. The young man was so mysterious, but she liked that part of him. Of course, she would not let him be lost the excursion of their school. The company of Saito was essential for her.

After trying by all possible means of convince him to let her pay the bill, Chizuru gave up. It was supposed that she wanted to thank him, he simply refused. She knew that in this she was not going to win.

"That was not the deal, Saito-San." She said, frowning when the girl with the account walked away.

Had we a deal? "He asked, feigning ignorance while he looked at her carefully. Her cute frown was not intimidating at all.

"I invited you, I had to pay."

"We never agreed that, girl."

"No but...

"There is no any difference in that I do It." He gently cut her. It was not because she was a woman, or anything like it. Simply, there was no need if he could do it. "With the invitation is more than enough."

Chizuru denied making a cute pout. That made the corners of his lips rise instantly.

"Listen, Chizuru." He said getting the girl's attention. "I like rice cookies, if you do some for me, maybe that can compensate the fact that I couldn't please you this time…. Are you agreed?"

When he saw her smile in assent, he knew he had found the right words. God! He loved to see her smile.

"It's a deal." She extended her hand, which he did not hesitate to shake. "I'll make you the most delicious cookies, you've ever tasted."

"I'm sure so." He felt good to see her happy.

"Now, what do you think about get some candies from the vending machine? I will bring some not very sweet, I promise."

Saito could only nod at her enthusiasm, that, he could not to take from of her. He saw her get up and walk to the machine. Definitely, the girl had him hypnotized.

Chizuru approached to the machine and placed the coins inside, selecting the candies she wanted. She really could not get angry with Saito just for being good to her. She was going to make those cookies if it was what he wanted.

"Hi, Chizuru-Chan!"

The unexpected greeting took her by surprise. She turned around just to roll her eyes, while she wearily inspired. Why did she have to meet these people now? She just hoped that they would not cause problems how they usually did.

I enjoyed writing this chapter. Things are moving a little slow between Saito and Chizuru, but remember that they are not yet aware of their feelings.

Guest: I appreciate your opinion. Remember that Chizuru is an affectionate girl, and although sometimes she is a little shy, it is not a problem for her to show her affection towards the people she cares about. Saito is different, but he will get used to it, I'm sure ... I also do not think he'll complain if it's about Chizuru ... Je Je Je!

Until the next chapter.
