Chapter two:

Somehow the word got out that Hermione's branch was terminated. Hermione wasn't upset, knowing that the news would spread eventually. She wasn't relived either. She pulled the laundry out of the machine, and used her wand to start to fold it. Her spell worked until she noticed a certain sweater in the wash. It was maroon with a 'R' engraved on the front. Her spell broke making all the laundry fall.

Hermione grabbed the sweater, and tossed it into the corner. She told herself not to look back. however no matter how hard she tried, she caught her eyes looking.

"Hermione love, will you grab my sweater." Ron asked. "say it nicely." Hermione scolded in a teasing manner. "Please Minoe will you please grab my sweater please?" He said giving her puppy eyes. She grabbed the maroon sweater, and tossed it at him. "Thanks love." He said yanking it over his head, messing up his ginger hair. "Welcome." She said continuing to do the laundry, he watched her with amazement.

Hermione sighed, and picked up the nerve to put the sweater in the box. She tapped the box shut, and placed it at the front of the door so she wouldn't forget about it. Suddenly as she did so, she heard a slight 'tap' on her door. "One second!" She hollered, trying to brush her hair fast. She eventually gave up and opened the door.

"Hello Hermione." A woman said in a respectful tone. "Please Professor McGonagal, come in." Hermione said opening the door wider to the lady. "why thank you." She said taking a seat on the sofa. "would you like some tea or anything?" Hermione asked. "No thank you," She said quickly before continuing. "So Hermione, as you know because of the downfall of Voldemort our seventh years haven't gotten a full education at Hogwarts." Hermione nodded, that she thoroughly understood.

"I was wondering if you where willing to come back to Hogwarts to finish your education, and be our head girl of Hogwarts this year. So what do you say?" Hermione thought about it for a moment. "I will have to get back to you on that professor." Hermione said politely. The headmistress looked taken back. "I am surprised on this designation Miss Granger, I thought you would jump on the opportunity. I guess I thought wrong." She said quietly, before going towards the exit. "Professor, where are you going?" Minerva turned around. "Clearly business was done, is it not?" She said kindly. "Good day to you." She finished.

Hermione ran out the door after her. "Wait! Wait! I'll do it!" She called. "Very well, I'll send you all the information later." She responded. "Oh and professor?" "yes?" "where did you learn how to persuade people so well?" Minerva chuckled. "Dumbledore was quite a bad influence, wasn't he?" She said with a savage grin. Hermione looked at the professor very surprised. "Good day Miss Granger."

Hermione walked into the house starstruck. Usually she would never had made such a impulsive act, the professor was right... Dumbledore was a very bad influence indeed. Little did she know what she had just signed herself up for.

A couple hours later, she decided to take the boxes of things back to there owner since she had no use for it. Which went erm-intresting.

Hermione grabbed the box, and gripped it tightly before apperating to Ron's door. She walked a couple houses down before she reached his small flat. She knocked on the door, her heart stopping for a second. "Bloody hell, Roxy didn't know you would be this ear-" He stopped mid sentence and looked down at her. Hermione shoved the box into his hands. "Your things." she stated, looking at his appearance. His ginger hair had grown out longer, and shagged past his eyes. His blue eyes stood out, along with his freckles. He was no longer long and skinny, he was more fit a wide shouldered.

"I um-erm-ah- thanks?" He said gambling on his words. Hermione rolled her eyes. "See you moved on, who is this 'Roxy' girl..hm?" She said her annoyance clearly showing. "What? she's my co-worker. It's none of your business anyways." Hermione sighed deeply. "I can't believe it Ron! your such a prat! We where engaged! And it only takes you a couple weeks to go to another girl?" Hermione dropped the rest of the boxes on the doorstep. She was about to leave when Ron called her name and she turned around. "don't be jealous I moved on easier, your the one who ended things. Why don't you go back crawling to Krumy? I'm sure he still wants you." He said before slamming the door shut.

"NO, YOU ARE NOT THE ONE WHO GETS TO WALK AWAY LIKE THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" Hermione screamed, before walking away again. She ran a couple blocks away before disappearing on the spot.

She got back to her flat, and softly cried. Her life was falling apart. Life wasn't all so pleasant when your Hermione Granger, no matter how well the prophet deceives it to be.

"Hermione, Let me in!" someone called from the front door. Hermione walked to the door, and wiped her tears. To her surprise she saw...
