Hello everyone, thanks for keeping up with the story. Here's a long chapter to make up for my long absence. Also we have some sarcastic Ginny in this chapter because, well... why not? Anyways if you have and feedback let me know! -Oneshotforlife

"Is he dead?" Ginny asked out loud. "Ginny!" Harry hissed. "What, just asking the obvious." Ginny added rolling her eyes. "RON SOMEONE IS AT THE DOOR!" Ginny yelled so her brother could hear her from upstairs

Just as she said that her brother came rushing downstairs. "Oh, hi Bill." Ron said answering the door, and opening it wide for the eldest Weasley. "Hey Ron, can't stay for long... Fleur will be expecting me." He said maturely. "Ok, what's up?"

Bill sighed and said "I ran into Her-" "don't!" "-Minoe, I really don't think you want to know what she said- maybe I should just go." Bill said turning for the door. "Wait! I can handle it." Ron said practically begging Bill. "Alright. You may wanna erm-take a seat." As he said that Harry and Ginny sat next to Ron on the small loveseat.

"She told me to tell you that if you want to talk to her, you shouldn't use your family as a shield." Ron sighed. "Well that's it then?" Bill bit his lip. "Oh there's more." Ron added surprised. "Yeah, I saw her get picked up by Draco Malfoy." Ginny gasped. "She might be getting abused! I may need to do something!" Harry said desperately. He shook the couch so hard, Ron's flat shook.

"Harry, you can't do anything. This isn't Hogwarts anymore. The trio has become a duo." Ginny added. Ron looked at Bill desperately. "She's right you know." Bill agreed. "I can't believe she moved on so easily!" Ron said through his teeth. "Well so have you if I'm being honest. Playing around with Roxy." Ginny mentioned slightly disgusted.

"Gin-that's enough." Harry said soothingly. "Look mate, you just need to move on." Bill nodded in agreement. Ron looked pale. He finally nodded his head, not agreeing- more just trying to convince himself. "Yeah, yeah ok." Ron said shakily. Harry clapped him hard on the back, testing his stability.

Moving on, simple right? I mean how hard could it be?

"Thanks for picking me up Draco. My gas tank wasn't working." She lied. The truth was, because she hadn't found a job yet she had been bouncing off of Draco for the moment. "Yeah no problem." He said feeding into her lies. Hermione smiled. She touched his arm slightly making him jump and blush.

"I still owe you that coffee, how about we go right now?" Hermione asked. Draco nodded, his hand gripped loosely on the wheel. "How about Java Waffles?" He suggested. "It's a date." Hermione said slyly. Although inside she felt a twinge of guilt flirting with Draco. She had just broken up with Ron, maybe she should give it more time. Although all she could think about was Roxy. The sour girl she hadn't even met.

The only reason why she hated Roxy is because she was mad at Ron. He moved on just weeks before they had broken up. Maybe being with Draco will help her cope with Ron and hers breakup. Hopefully.

"It's a date." Draco repeated grinning. Hermione smiled at him... trying to feel fully invested but there was a twinge of guilt buried deep inside her. They pulled into the parking lot, and went into the tiny coffee shop.

They walked up and sat themselves at a table. "Hello welcome to Java Waffles, what can I get for you guys to start?" The waiter said, he had a dark thick beard and small round glasses that reminded her of Harry's glasses. "I will have a large latte, with one shot of the magic sauce." Hermione said briskly. "And for you sir?" The waiter said towards Draco. "I'll have a pumpkin spice Frappuccino." The waiter then scurried away leaving the former enemies alone.

"So do you know any languages?" Draco asked trying to make a icebreaker. "Just french, and only bits and pieces. You?" Hermione asked. "c'est une honte." (A/n: Sorry that may be wrong I don't actually know French) "impressive." Hermione said impressed. He had just said 'that's a shame.' In French. Something about his accent was rather cute.

"Thank you." He said winking. Hermione looked at him fascinated. Who knew Draco Malfoy could be so soft? She drummed her fingers in-patiently on the table. Talking to Draco was nice, but she never ran out of things to say with Ron.

No, she scolded to herself. You can't think of him. He's gone the only thing here is Draco. Quit it!

"So tell me a little about yourself." Hermione said trying to make conversation. "Well, I was born in 1980, I am 17 years old. I am from the ancient line of Malfoy's. I enjoy history of magic and potions. I wish one day to become a healer to correct all that I've done wrong. I also am rather fond of pretzels. The muggle treat." Draco said calmly.

"Oh so how close are you to becoming a healer?" Hermione asked. "Well, all I need to do is pass the physical exam, the mental one I have already passed. So hopefully soon. What do you want to be?" Draco said smiling. "Well if I'm being honest I'm not entirely sure. I really find fascination in the law. I want to change laws and help make our world a safer environment." Hermione said peacefully. "Wow, how close are you to getting there?" Draco questioned.

"Hopefully pretty close. Im trying to get a small job for the time being, so I can go back to Hogwarts and help get more requirements for a better job." Hermione added. "Well good luck with that." Draco said nicely. "Thanks." Hermione said plainly killing off the conversation.

The conversation was starting to speed up as Draco seemed more willing to open up. By a couple hours they where laughing and drinking there coffee. She was actually having a good time. With a great distraction. No a person Hermione. Person.

"-than I told my father, 'why is it a peacock?'" Draco started laughing and I laughed along. It felt good to laugh after crying for so long.

Draco started to talk about another funny story, when I look over to see a certain Ginger with a brown hair, high waisted, full lips girl. I nearly choked on my coffee. Although Draco seemed to not notice. As he kept talking I kept staring at the duo. Suddenly I felt like I had to throw up. "Excuse me, I'm going to use the loo." Hermione said quickly, before running to the restroom.

She locked herself in the stall, and rubbed her hands on her temples. She can get through a couple more hours. It won't be that bad. Take a deep breath and try to relax. She in-hailed sharply and ex hailed. She opened the latch and the first thing she saw was the brown haired girl Ron had brought with him. "Nope." She whispered to herself and locked herself back in the stall.

Once she saw the girl was in the stall, she walked out of her stall and onto the sinks. She splashed cold water on her face and washed her hands. Right as she finished the girl came over to the sinks. "Hi, Sorry if this sounds creepy, but are you the Hermione Granger?" The girl said quickly. "Um yes, who's asking?" Hermione asked. "Oh I'm Roxy. Ron's co-worker. I'm a big fan." Roxy said smiling. "Cool." Hermione said shortly trying to escape. "Well I hope you don't mind me with your ex." Roxy said nervously. "Nope, don't care. I better get back to my date." Hermione said in a slightly rude tone.

"See you, oh I can't wait to tell Ron who I ran into." Roxy said skipping slightly. Oh god thought Hermione, I better wrap up this date with Draco.

"Oh good your back, I thought you left me." Draco said laughing, although worried. "I'm not that mean." Hermione teased. "I just ran into a old friend, that's all." She lied quickly. "Ah, well that would do it." Draco said smiling.

Hermione saw Ron looking over this way. They locked eyes for a moment. To make Ron jealous she did it without thinking. She leaned in towards Draco and brushed her lips against his icy ones. Draco gripped her waist tightly and ran his finger through her looped hair. She brought her hands slowly up his neck until they where in his curly, long hair. Slowly they broke apart, and Draco gripped her hand tightly in his. He beamed and she smiled back. Although somehow that didn't make her feel any better. Somehow that made her feel worse, like she was leading Draco on.

"C'mon, let's get out of here." Hermione whispered. "Yes ma'am." Draco said winking at her, before guiding her towards the exit with his hand.

Ron looked back at the scene he had just witnessed. It felt all wrong, and it didn't make sense. It seemed too odd and off to fit together. And yet it did. He sat through his 'date' with Roxy dully. No matter how hard he tried to concentrate on something else, Hermione kept popping into his head.

The way she looked at him before she kissed Draco. The way she kissed him. The way Ron imagined and wished with all his might... she would kiss him. Although Ron missed that chance already. The next time the shot is open, he won't hesitate to shoot. After his lonely date was over, he rushed back into his flat expecting people to be there. However there wasn't. just a letter sitting on his counter. Later he would open it, for now he wanted to be alone to digest what had just happened.
