(Continuing From Where The Last Chapter Left Off, War On Planet Sadala. . .)

The tremor began to settle down along with the light that blinded the obscured the sky above. The battlefield itself was silent from what had transpired. The devastating attack launched by the Saiyan king had not only decimated an enormous amount of enemies through the cause of a storm but also the sky itself began to become more clear. . .which to them, quickly left them dumbstruck from what they saw. The black, void or hole that within the sky was about the size of a moon lingered over them and shone a white light that illuminated the area. Was this what they were supposed to destroy? It was unfathomable to even comprehend the structure let alone attack it. Though, considering most of the average Saiyan warriors on Sadala were capable of destroying celestial bodies, this was beyond the norm. However, as they all stared up at the structure, they all failed to notice their King was exhausted below.

Heavy breaths were taken, his knees beginning to buckle beneath him from overexertion before finally. . .he collapsed, hands flat against the ground while the knees of his pants were sullen by the debris. He trembled, his strength fading like a fog being banished by the sun though he managed to crank his neck to look up at the same structure everyone else was looking at. He would show his own form of surprise as well but he knew this was too grand of an opportunity to dwell on it. He was the king after all. A king in the middle of a war and orders to give. Knowing this he forced himself back onto his feet, wobbling a bit until he finally found some form of stable ground. If he lacked the strength to do it himself then he'd just have to set everyone else back on track. It was now or never, "Every—!"

"Just what are you about to say?" a familiar voice asked dangerously close behind him, causing his voice to immediately die out. King Sadala, as exhausted as he was, didn't have time to even react to getting slugged across the face before having his hair grabbed and pulled into a firm knee. He gagged, blood spewing out of his mouth with wide eyes only for him to be tossed into a pile of debris like trash. A loud boom echoed for a bit, the impact causing some dust to be picked up and obscuring his vision that was already fading from fatigue. He groaned, coughing a few times while he tried to refocus himself on what attacked him through the dust cloud.

Though evidently, his worst fear came true as soon as he spotted just a snippet of the figure's attire. He groaned, both in frustration and pain with his only word being a single word question, "How. . .?"

"How?" Krugel repeated, stepping out of the smoke, his aura answering the question for him. As strong as one can be, tanking Flashing Vajra was hundreds of times stronger than dealing with the blade-state of the technique. Unlike this, Strongest Mortal he's heard of from Cabba, he didn't expect anyone else to be achieving that feat. Only those of divinity came to mind, specifically the ones meant to destroy. He's witnessed his God of Destruction's power a dozen of times to get a feel on it so it became kind of odd to believe what he was seeing. If he could move his arms right now, then he would have been rubbing his eyes to double-check himself but his ears heard the confirmation from Krugel himself which sent shivers down his spine, "That attack was impressive. . .no more than impressive. For your efforts to get on my bad-side, I must congratulate you on achieving that. Using this power only brings back bad memories."

"S–So that was it, gack!" King Sadala growled before coughing out more blood, "The power of Destruction. But, how!?"

Krugel frowned for only a second before smirking, "Well. . ." He raised his hand, the purple aura shrouding him beginning to flow into his palms and pulsated into the structure of a dark purple energy ball. The King's eyes widened, knowing full well what he was going to do. Dying was one thing but this. . .was much, much worse than death.

"What's the use of explaining to someone who won't exist?" Krugel questioned, the light growing brighter to reveal his dark expression. King Sadala could tell, his words made his intention as clear as day. He was 100% on board with erasing him from existence. But, his pride as a Saiyan fought against his fear, his body squirming from where he laid yet it refused to move. He grunted and tried again. . .and again. . .and again, each attempt failing while Krugel watched him struggling for the remainder of his existence. He wasn't normally allowed to do this, but with this one, he had no choice. Even if it went against the philosophies of his master and it was pointless for what's to come in the future, he'll take the scolding just this once. His eyes narrowed on his target, "Sayanara, HAK—huh!?"

Before he could finish his sentence, he turned at the sight of a familiar energy ball coming towards him. He sucked his teeth and diminished his attack before leaping out of the way to avoid it. The ball of energy traversed above the ground before flying into a building, the collision not destroying but erasing a whole through it on contact as soon as Krugel touched Earth. The sight left King Sadala confused for a moment and wondered where it came from only to notice Krugel staring at something else. He had a frown on his face before he couldn't help but chuckle a bit.

"Damn, this day can't get any better? What pleasure do I owe to you, Fatty?" Krugel asked with a mocking tone. Shocked, King Sadala turned towards the direction he was looking at and a wave of relief washed over his face. A belly formed from the excessive amount of foods that he'd eat with a garment of red and black around his neck that matched his pants. His cat features puffy in contrast to his brother's was a dead give away on who he was: Lord Champa, God of Destruction of the 6th Universe.

Champa looked at King Sadala and back at Krugel, his eyes narrowing dangerously at him, "You owe me a damn explanation, Krugel! Just what in the hell are you doing in MY universe causing all this trouble!? You know how much trouble those sorts of actions cause! Just because you aren't in my position anymore doesn't mean you can do as you please and you're lucky the Grand Priest hasn't gotten whim of your trifling!" Krugel smirked.

"Oh, you sound mad. Is it because I called you fat? I was only making an observation, I swear," Krugel feigned forgiveness, earning another glare from the deity, "Champa, buddy, that's no way to greet a fellow God of Destruction, you know—"

"Ex-God of Destruction. You relinquished your position and went into hiding or did you forget," Champa interrupted and corrected.

Krugel paused for a moment as if he was remembering everything that led him up to this point before smirking with mirth, "You're right. . .I did leave. But you know exactly why I left my useless position to you." Annoyed, Champa decided to be more direct again as this conversation was going nowhere. He wasn't here for this little "reunion" when he sensed Krugel's Ki. He was only able to catch whim of it when he sensed the presence of a God of Destruction within his universe. Only one God of Destruction really came to Universe 6 the most and that was his own brother who was on Anublu.

"Again, I'll ask you, what in the hell are you doing here?" Champa growled.

"Isn't it obvious, I'm doing some recruitment," Krugel answered as vaguely as he could, not to be secretive but just to annoy him further.

Champa raised an angry eyebrow, "Recruitment? By going from planet to planet? Destroying life indiscriminately? Unleashing whatever the hell that is up there in order to simulate an apocalypse? Did you know that thing is causing harm to Universe 6 itself and all that for recruitment? Quit beating the bush and just cut it down already! What are you after!".

There was a long silence between them as Krugel's attitude grew serious to match Champa's glare. The air was growing thicker, much to be expected from a confrontation between what might as well be two Gods of Destruction. King Sadala was thankful they didn't just cut to the chase right away and went full throttle. Two Gods of Destruction would have destroyed this planet in an instant considering they had little to no restraint on their destructive habits. However, the tension broke as Krugel chuckled, irking Champa even more since he was treating this like it was some game. Though, Krugel ignored him and continued, "Hhmhmhm, oh Champa. I wasn't lying about the recruitment part. It's all part of the process is all and is really just a side project. Considering that you've come to this planet so willingly must mean you have some connection here, no?" Champa didn't answer and simply grunted in response.

"I see, your silence confirms it. Which means you can see the potential here as well. These Saiyans are good template ground to begin development of the generation who will come in the New Genesis. Albeit, they aren't perfect but their potential is just too much to pass on. That's why once I've weeded out the weaker ones, I'll have the strong survivors subjugated and controlled until the big day comes," Krugel explained.

"Development? New Genesis? You're speaking cryptic," Chamapa noted.

"Well, you won't get what I mean unless I explain the context I guess," Krugel shrugged before adding, "Though, my main objective is something else."

"And what could that be?" The Universe 6 God of Destruction inquired, his arms folded together and waited patiently for his answer.

The wind blew across Krugel's face, only stopping at the aftermention of a single object, "To retrieve the World's Key in order to break down the barrier surrounding Universe 6." Champa's eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

"Are you insane! There aren't many laws in the Multiverse but one that stands firm and absolute is that the barriers MUST stay intact! Are you trying to piss Lord Zeno off and have everyone erased!" Champa scolded though Krugel appeared far from afraid.

"I'm aware of that but are you aware as to why that's the case?" Krugel questioned back. The Universe 6 God didn't have an answer for that so he held his tongue. Why WAS that law put into place? The Grand Priest never really explained that part now did he? Seeing the complex facial expression made Krugel snicker, "How sad, you know nothing of what is hidden. Why do you think the Living Universe and Otherworld, the universe where the souls of the dead dwell, are separate? Life and Death, two concepts created on opposite sides of the same coin only to act as a cycle of rebirth. Yet, there was one thing that they neglected to mention. . ."

"What?" Champa said, his tone serious yet curious. He knew Krugel and despite how much of a snake he was, he had a certain expression he saves for when he tells the truth. Truly, a cunning individual indeed.

The Ex-God of Destruction looked up at the sky and back at Champa before answering, "The fragments of the gate that opens the doors to the Tenkai Realm. Each one was strategically placed within a pocket-dimension that is separate from the normal Universe. Even if Zeno were to erase everything in this Multiverse, those gates will still remain in-tact."

"Tenkai Realm, never heard of it," Champa admitted, his head tilting to the side.

"Well, I didn't expect you to know about it, did I?" Krugel snickered at the vein showing on his forehead, "Enough talk, I'm gonna need you to hand me the World's Key within your body. It'll be much easier since I won't have to kill you to get it."

Krugel extended out his hand expectedly for Champa to hand it over. The Universe 6 God knew that the World's Key didn't inherently have any risks from being removed from his body willingly or not. It was a special construct that can be infused into any object or person and from what he could recall, the Grand Priest had assigned each God of Destruction a key to act as guardians ever since the destruction of the six other universes. Which did raise the question: Did Zeno selectively choose not to include Universe 6 or any of the other Universes simply because the current 12 contained the gates? No, it can't be, they were literally erased not even a few months ago but from what Krugel said, those gates are immune to Zeno's power. That only leads to one simple answer he could give, "I refuse. . ."

"Hmmm?" Krugel hummed.

"For starters, I still stand by the fact that it'll be a terrible idea to disobey Lord Zeno's law. Furthermore, if what you say is true, those gates and this Tenkai Realm you speak of must be too dangerous for you to go meddling with it if not even Lord Zeno can erase the gates. You seem to be telling the truth but you are still hiding something. Why would you even go this far to access some realm that I've never heard of? What are you hoping to achieve, Krugel?" Champa explained before asking.

Kugel didn't reply, his face covered the bangs of his hair. Though suddenly, he sighed, displeased by the response he got which made Champa raise an eyebrow. He looked up with a deflated expression and rubbed the back of his head, "Man, you really were one to make things unneededly difficult. Guess I'll have to kill you first," Hearing this, Champa's body tensed for the first time in a while. This wasn't some random mortal he was dealing with afterall. This was an Ex-God of Destruction who used to be the superior. He took a stance, readying himself to fight as Krugel crotched down to pounce.

"Going to kill me? Guess the question "why" was too much for you?" Champa jested nervously.

"On the contrary, yes, I've already told you too much and the rest of it is far from what you should know so. . .," Krugel admitted, his body vanishing from Champa's sights which caused him to be caught off guard in surprise. The only indication of him moving was the ground shattering from the previous location he was in though due to Champa knowing Krugel well. . .he knew exactly where he was going to strike. With a quick turn of his pivot, he hurled elbow to collide with the chop-strike aimed directly towards his neck. From the impact alone, the two destructive beings caused a pulsating wave of energy to stretch around them and turn a good portion of the ground into dust. From what he could feel, Champa knew this strike was meant to behead him which meant that Krugel was entirely serious with his claim: he was going straight for the kill.

As they glared into each other's eyes, the two separate, the mere action causing another burst of energy before they re-engage into combat with Champa launching wild kicks and Krugel blocking it with moderate difficulty. The ensuing shockwaves caused even more destruction, this time ripping a path into the ground while in that same instance, Krugel retaliated with a firm punch that landed upon Champa's chin and drew blood. The Universe 6 God grunted though he was tough, his body using the momentum that pushed him back to back-flip himself into a counter-kick that sent Krugel flying. The Ex-God of Destruction let out a short cry as he was sent gliding across the ground, the gravel scratching against his back, "For someone who's overweight, he sure is nimble. . ." With that thought passing through, he flipped himself onto his feet that slid across the surface a bit before charging back in, his purple aura shrouding his body and becoming a blur due to sheer speed.

Champa was shocked, barely registering the elbow that inevitably slammed into his face and sent him crashing through several buildings while Krugel landed just a dozen meters away from him. He waited, knowing that unlike his other opponents, he was dealing with someone infinitely more tough. As much as other gods make fun of Champa's weight, he was still the twin brother of Beerus. . .that damn anomaly. He clenched his teeth at the mere thought of him yet he didn't have tie to dwell on the matter. Champa was quick to act and was proven when he noticed several dark energy balls being launched his way. He knew what they were but he didn't feel threatened. That energy that can erase someone from existence was child's play for someone on the same level to counter and resist. With an extension of his hand, he merely stood there and let each one collide as he emitted waves of Ki to diminish each one, the particles flying past his face until he felt danger lurking around him. His eyes widened, "A decoy. . .!?"

"That's right, HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Champa confirmed appearing right next before driving his foot into his chest. The blow left Krugel winded and he didn't even have time to recover. The current God of Destruction pushed harder, his foot practically dragging Krugel across the ground so far that King Sadala who was wondering where they went was surprised to see them whip past them from the opposite direction before crashing into the side of a barely standing tower. The dust quickly cleared, only to reveal Krugel's pain expression as Champa retracted his foot from his sternum. He gagged in pain and despite Champa taking a few steps back, the fact that he was bouncing on his toes with his fist up only meant he wasn't done. Light and nimble, those were the things that people overlooked about him despite his size. Nevertheless, he wasted no time throwing straight yet powerful punches one after another at Krugel which forced him to block the onslaught like he was in the corner of a boxing ring. Each blow threatened to cause the tower above to collapse but Champa didn't care, he was aiming to settle things here. This was a beating that was long overdue in his books, "Come on, you can't tell me that is all you got!"

Krugel's eyebrow twitched, his eyes looking up dangerously through the gaps of his guard to stare in Champa's soul. The sudden urge to run overtook Champa, signaling that he had struck a nerve as Krugel retorted back, "You're getting cocky, damn cat! Megalodon's:. . .!" The sudden remembrance of this technique's name made Champa tense.

"Damn. . .!" He sucked in a teeth, his feet kicking off the ground to get some distance until. . .

"JAW FRENZY!" Krugel roared, his finger tips creating several lines of energy that traversed the ground towards the current God of Destruction. The moment they closed the distance, the lines caused ripples to form all around Champa who internally cursed himself for not getting out of range in time, his eyes scanning his surroundings for a sliver of room to escape. Unfortunately, Krugel was too thorough in his counter, the ripples coming in at all sides with bubbles forming as if the air was water. Then, just as he remembered, several bronze-colored curved spikes emerged from the ripples and aimed towards him in hopes to make him a pin-cushion.

Knowing there was no way out, Champa sucked in a breath, inhaling as much air as he could before. . .,"HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" He screamed, the power generated from his vocal cords creating a powerful shockwave that caused the spikes to crumble upon contact all around him. Krugel grimaces at the feat and inherently dodge out of the way before the oncoming shockwaves could reach him. Atlas, the tower along with everything else behind it was eradicated into nothing, showcasing just how much power was put into just a shout. Trails upon trails of destructive energy lingered behind as Krugel slid into a stop only to find Champa patiently waiting for him as he went to catch his breath. Although, at the mere sight of him, he stopped and proceeded to aim his palm towards him with his other hand grasping around his wrist. Krugel's eyes widened at the sudden energy spike that couldn't be seen and did the same. Then, their energies flared to reveal two different types of auras. One, a dark and malicious purple while the other was a brighter color of purple. One being that of a fallen God who sought to cause havoc while the other being that the current God merely doing his job and setting things straight. But down to the very core, despite the differences, one thing remained the same: they were in nature, Gods of Destruction.

"HAKAI!"

They both roared in union with each of them unleashing a powerful energy wave field with pure destruction energy. The waves clashed, causing a powerful shock wave to energy and erase their surroundings. Though they were selective, only seemingly limiting the area of effect to anything that they didn't want to erase thus signifying their control. Such is a trademark of someone experienced in the way of destruction. Though the sheer power that was ensuing still was a threat and if prolonged could clearly destroy the planet. . .in the best case scenario that is. King Sadala gulped down a bit of nervous saliva that was building up, his breathing hinching from the fight he was witnessing. Each move and every attack was absurdly powerful. In fact, if he had to compare, most of them were comparable to his ultimate attack that had been passed down from generation to generation. He couldn't help but truly awe, his Saiyan heart that had rarely been ignited by the fuel of excitement coming forth in his thoughts, "So this is what a clash between Gods of Destruction were like. . .?"

Just as he let that thought pass, the large amounts of energy coming from the both of them were canceled out, the burst resulting in it spreading non-lethally throughout the surface of the planet. As the particles of their attacks fell to the ground, the two Gods of Destructions stood at the epicenter to vanish temporarily before colliding, hurling their respective fists at each other's face. Simultaneously, they cross-countered each other and struck at the same time, the blow nearly making them stumble only for them to recover almost immediately. Once more, another cross-counter was made, this time with Krugel being able to weave under the opposition's arm with a smirk. Champa groaned though he was quick to respond surprisingly with a follow up that slugged Krugel across the face, earning a shrill cry from the blow. He groaned as he saw Champa's annoyed expression before roaring back at him. Soon enough, the fight had turned into who could hit who the hardest. Punch after punch, they both endured each other blows to showcase that they can take them. It was a brawl, a slug fest if one may say but one without rest. The ground began to tremble under the weight of their strikes until they eventually punched each other once more across the face once more, only this time they both were sent crashing into piles of rubble.

Soon enough, there were two tiny clouds of smoke until they were dispersed once two purple streams of light clashed into the center, the flash unraveling the two gods catching each other's fists with their foreheads pressing against each other for dominance. Bio-electricity crackled around them and the rocks began to levitate from the power struggle. It was most certainly a dead-lock and as they struggled, Krugel couldn't help but smirk, "My, you seem extra motivated today. Hoping to burn some calories from this little scuffle? Kind of pointless for someone who's about to be made a chalk-outline."

"Keep talking, you just keep adding onto my list of reasons to erase you!" Champa growled.

Though Krugel seemed to be only amused, his aura unknowingly growing in power, "What the other reasons other than me making fun of your weight, cat?" Patience was one thing but that was what caused the string to snap for Champa.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" He roared, pushing his weight forward in hopes to break the throw with brute force. . .an action that Krugel was waiting for.

Smirking, the Ex-God of Destruction leaned backwards just in time for Champa to be pulled above him, the maneuver catching his opponent off guard from the surprised look he got. He smirked, only asking an obvious question, "Going up?" Before Champa could possibly register it, Krugel had already kicked him in the chin. . .hard. A loud boom reverberated throughout the terrain as Champa seemingly paused mid-air with a shockwave that made an indent in the ground was forming before the bicycle-kick sent him flying head first through several more buildings while Krugel graciously landed on his feet and quickly turned with a wide grin on his face. Wasting no time as he could see Champa still struggling to recover mid-air, he extended his hand forward and fired an energy wave towards him that resembled a solar-flare from the sun itself. The sight garnered a reaction out of Champa, causing him to flip himself onto his feet in order to leap into the air to avoid the blast that collided into the ground below, the ensuing explosion nearly causing him to lose control of air stability. . .something that was all part of the plan.

Before he could even have time to process it, Champa felt a burning sensation on his back which caused him to cry out in pain. He looked behind himself, only to see Krugel just a distance away above while a similar blast from before was pressing against him. Then, before the thought of damnation could cross his mind, the blast exploded in a bright flash that covered the sky, the event gaining the attention of all those within the vicinity. They were all confused as to what was going on anyways from things ranging between the random vibrations within the air and the feeling of godly force being exerted upon their planet. Nevertheless, the cloud and sight of what appeared to be the enemy's leader was all that they could see until the dust cloud covering a portion of the sky unveiled Champa breathing heavily.

For the most part, they all were confused as to who this person was with only those close to Cabba and the King knowing full well. This was proven when one veteran soldier who happened to have even recognized the important figure before them, called out, "Wai–wait. . .is that Lord Champa, the God of Destruction? Has he come to bless us with divine protection?"

"God of Destruction. . .?" Another soldier pondered, clearly not knowing the entity, "Who is that. . .?"

"You fool!" The veteran spat, "The God of Destruction are the most powerful beings within the universe! Their destructive might is unrivaled and if he's here fighting the enemy then we have nothing to worry about."

The younger Saiyan soldier took another glass, observing the "god" that was gaining so much praise. He looked tired but compared to everyone else he seemed to be in better condition while fighting the enemy leader in the stead of the king. That said it all and was enough to leave a hopeful smile on his face, "You don't say. . .Well then, you go cat god! Give that guy a pounding for us Saiyans!" All of a sudden cheers began to erupt and fill Champa's ears while drowning out his own heavy breath. He had to admit, this was really beginning to be a workout. He didn't expect he'd have to exert so much power today though granted. . .he didn't think he'd be fighting Krugel either but nevertheless, the cheers of encouragement were a new feeling for him. Recalling the Tournament of Power, he had been a cheerleader for his own team though it was more of a way to also annoy his brother from time to time in the face of being erased from existence. He never really felt the feeling of being cheered on before, if so then it truly had been multiple eons since then and he must admit: it certainly made him forget about the burning sensation on his back.

He smirked unknowingly, thinking to himself, "Well this is new. . ." Though, his expression didn't go unnoticed by Krugel who flew down to his level to get a better inspection. He too could hear the cheers of the mortals from afar, something that made him sick to his stomach. However, this wasn't apparent by his current expression which displayed amusement at the whole situation since he knows exactly what'll happen later. It will just be too satisfying to watch. . .nonetheless, he clapped, feigning the mirth mockingly.

"Oh? Do my eyes deceive me?" Krugel awed jokingly, "Mortals giving praise and cheers of encouragement to their destruction deity? Not only that, the great, Lord Champa, recepting it with a smile. Dear me, maybe I didn't have to unleash the Mara to cause an apocalypse!"

"Quit acting like you won already, that attack hardly was enough to take me down," Champa warned.

Krugel chuckled to himself, wiping a bit of blood that was dripping from his mouth, "Of course it wasn't. I know just how resilient your defense is among the Gods of Destruction. Such is an attribution to your physique." Champa let out a low, threatening growl which was soon ignored by a quick glance at the direction of the cheers. His eyebrow furrowed, his direction of conversation shifting.

"How noisy, why waste their breath to cheer for such a god who acts as a lap dog for children," Krugel blatantly pointed out.

Champa however, retorted back, "You used to be one of those 'gods', Krugel. Just what is your deal. . .?"

"My deal. . ." Krugel responded in a low tone, a hint of venom revealing itself. He looked down at his hand before letting out a depressing chuckle before looking up at Champa, "Come on, you know exactly what is my 'deal' or do I have to remind you every single time."

"Tch. . ." the current God of Destruction hissed at the thought though Krugel decided to be more thorough anyways.

"You're right, I was one of those 'gods' who served the Omni-King. I did everything for them and during my time as God of Destruction, Universe 6 and even Universe 7 were at the height of their mortal levels far beyond that of every other universe. There wasn't a single moment I thought about questioning the orders of the Grand Priest nor about the position of the Omni-Kings themselves. We were taught to fear them no matter what. . .But that all changed, didn't it, Champa," Krugel smiled solemnly before continuing on when he noticed his dejected facial response, "Remember, I along with my brother Raija specifically chose you two as our successors mainly because you two were siblings. We didn't know of Beerus's potential until the day those brats desired their twisted form of entertainment."

"Krugel. . .we had no choi—" Champa tried to reason but he was cut off.

"EXACTLY!" Krugel growled, "CHOICE was never an option with them, now was it? It was always 'Do this or we'll erase you' even though it was a literal fight to the death for succession. In the end, my brother was not only killed but erased by YOUR brother. He didn't have to go that far, all he had to do was kill him. So why. . ."

"Krugel, we told you that we could have revived him with the Super Dragon Balls. Not only that, it was an accident and Beerus never meant to erase Raija. . .," Champa explained, hoping to get through to him.

However, Krugel only laughed at that, "You simply don't get it. The Super Dragon Balls are powerful but you clearly don't know the risks of using them now do you? Though, of course they never explained that to us either but just think about it: how come back then, they restricted us from even using the Super Dragon Balls annually? Why are they so hard to find that they are spread across two universes, hmmm? From these questions alone, it really makes you wonder how many secrets were kept under wraps, right?"

"There you go again, you're not making any sense. . ." Champa noted, his body feeling unease. The atmosphere of this conversation was really getting heavy. Though it wasn't just that, Krugel himself seemed a little. . .odd. Throughout the fight, he definitely could feel the same power of destruction that he wielded since back then but this time, something else seemed to be involved and he couldn't put a finger on it. Though he didn't have time to dwell on it as the sudden small movement of Krugel's body caused him to feel weary. He immediately took a stance to re-engage in combat though oddly enough, Krugel wasn't the least bit hasty to put up a guard. Instead he stood there in silence, one that garnered Champa to raise a curious eyebrow. The Ex-God of Destruction chuckled to himself, his hand palming his face as if he wanted to hide what he was truly feeling. Lamentation, Animosity, Betrayal, and Grief. Those were all mixed into such a complexity at recalling everything, every single reason as to why. . .

"I suppose I don't need to make sense," Krugel muttered before beginning to unveil his face. Champa's eyes slowly began to widen from each passing second of processed details. His eyes, the iris turned green around his now red pupils while the sclera turned into a pitch black color. But what stood out was the third eye that seemed to have opened in the center of his forehead, one that he didn't recall having in the present nor did he have that in the past. Before he knew it, a sudden eruption of purple and green Ki that he has never felt before began to push him back. It felt almost like a mix, the 'essence' of a God of Destruction being the forefront yet something else was mixed that made it almost incomprehensible. He grunted at the sight, the aura looking akin to an inferno made purely out of hellfire, one that consumed all the cheers from before and turned them into a silence constructed out of fear. Even King Sadala, as fearless as he was, was shakin from where he laid.

Though, in one fell swoop, something slashed through the inferno to unveil what alterations were made upon the Ex-God of Destruction. Flowing just over his hood was elongated, pale green, spiky hair which had gained a total of five thin bangs sticking out in the front in the formation of a spiral. His eyes gained a marking that outlined them while the bones of his elbow seemed to have protruded and pronged out into blades morphed into flesh yet dyed red at the tips with the remains of his sleeve being blown away into the wind. Champa didn't know what to make of what he saw as those eyes impassively stared into him. He was too stunned to even give a verbal reaction, his only instance being a gasp as soon as one of Krugel's red colored nails point towards him. . . It only took a blink.

*WHOOSH*

". . .!"

Champa, unable to process what had happened, felt himself losing his breath. He scanned around, his eyes darting left and right as he found himself trapped inside some sort of liquid bubble. He panicked, the "water" making it difficult for him to move until he heard a snap. He froze, the bubbles forming in the cage that imprisoned him growing more frantic until it began to intense to the point that it felt like he was being boiled. He let out a scream but it only came out in a muffle from the pain he was feeling, the mixture of unbearable water pressure so hot that it began to sear multiple parts of his body was a sight that left those who witnessed it speechless. How couldn't it? A God of Destruction was quite literally getting boiled alive and tortured before their very eyes. Though soon enough, the bubble dispersed which only revealed the steam oozing off Champa's seemingly limp body that occasionally twitched from the lasting pain that lingered. He was unresponsive, even to the fact that Krugel flew up to him and placed a hand on his chest with a satisfied smirk on his face. A soft, purplish-blue glow began to emit from that particular location in the body until he slowly pulled away: an orb matching the same color seemingly phasing through his chest. Krugel grinned, his eyes examining the object that was unveiled to be a disc-shaped, stone structure embroidered with numerous glowing runes, "There, now that wasn't so hard." He took a moment to examine the horror instilled faces of all the previously cheering Saiyans, the sight satisfying to say the least.

"Good," was the first thought passing through his mind, "See, these Gods of Destruction aren't so benevolent. Placing your hopes in those who bow to a child is foolish."

As they stood in fear, King Sadala could only struggle to move. In all his years, he could never imagine Lord Champa losing having seen his feats first hand. It was simply too hard to get a clear picture in his head and he could only pass such thoughts as mere fantasy. That thought alone provided some hope and solace in that this nightmare was as good as over the moment he showed up. However, now that isn't the case anymore. Reality quickly shoved such a fantasy down his throat and forced him to burn the image into his completely shocked eyes. It was all hopeless now. . .but, if he was going to die then he'd rather die fighting to the end. That's why, despite the protest from his body, he pushed himself, even forcing more blood to spill from his wounds yet he didn't care. He couldn't just give up. Determination from his Saiyan pride was the only thing keeping him going but it'll last only just for a moment. . .

"How sad. . .," a voice said along with the sound of feet lightly tapping against the ground.

The King of Saiyans paused his struggle in confusion. He couldn't fathom what he had heard, the familiarity in the voice causing him to perk up to see something that shook him to his soul. Staring back at him, facial features similar to his own were none other than his own son and just behind, far into the clouds were more of those Mara creatures descending to perform the clean-up. He was having trouble comprehending it, his voice croaking out. . "Okara. . .my son. . is that you? Why. . .?"

Okara said nothing and only raised a spear of light into the air, the action earning the King's shock before plunging it down into his heart. King Sadala's breath momentarily ceased, his eyes widening in a mixture of confusion and surprise while Okara looked down at him impassively. Time seemed to have slowed for him and he could only make out the indignant cries in the background from what he could hear from his faithful soldiers. He couldn't tell if it was because the fighting had resumed or the fact that he had been stabbed but one thing was for certain: his own son had betrayed him, his generals were nowhere to be seen, and their God of Destruction had been defeated. Everything had gone straight to hell. Soon enough, the blood loss was too much and he began to black out, his eyes closing and growing dim while Okara stood in the blowing wind.

"Goodbye, father. . .," He muttered before beginning to turn towards the sky, "Now, time to deal with the Namekian. I left him alone long enough after dispatching the genera—hmmm?"

He stopped mid-sentence as he noticed something strange and he wasn't alone. Even Krugel had to take a moment to inspect the strange phenomenon as well amongst the resumed battlefield. Apart from the gateway he had created, it was strange to see another cultivation of clouds that swirled around not too far from their current location. Unlike their though, there was no light being emitted and it was akin to that of a literal stormcloud. . .one with no thunder or lightning. However, soon enough, something did answer their question as a blue beam shot through the sky, the sudden appearance catching them off guard as it shot towards a cluster of Mara. In a mere instant, shrill cries were heard before all of the Mara in that location were disintegrated before they could even process what had happened. The fear itself made Krugel stare in shock, his eyes filled with confusion, "Who the hell?"

Then, the clouds dispersed without warning and unveiled a part of the previous bright sky. Something had shot out of it, its speed moving so fast that it appeared to be nothing more than a stream of amber-colored light. A light that was heading straight towards him in particular. He tensed, and immediately prepared himself for a counter-attack. Without waiting around to find out, he immediately fired off two Hakai Energy balls towards the light, though what came next left him with even more questions.

"FINAL FLASH!"

"KAMEHAME. . .HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The echoes ripped through the air as two large energy waves flew past the light and intercepted his energy balls, the collision causing an immense shockwave to rage around until the beams blew apart the energy. His eyes widened at such a feat. There were many things he knew about that even the current Gods of Destruction didn't know. He's lived for countless eons on top of that. However, not once has he even come across the thought of someone other than a God of Destruction or those of higher divinity to be able to resist the energy of destruction let alone overpower it. That begged the question, did more Gods of Destruction come to his aid. He had been out of the loop throughout the years and probably a few slots were switched out from the ones he knew in the past. However, the ki he sensed didn't show any hints of being one. No. . .they were entities that he didn't expect to even remotely come close: mortals.

His eyes widened in realization, almost missing the sounds of two voices shouting in encouragement, "Your path is open, boy! Get him!" a rough voice said almost as if he was spatting. Though the other one that followed was more encouraging and happy-going.

"Hit 'em, hard!" it said, a request that was so simple yet carried so much weight to it that in response to it, the light flared even brighter and picked up even further speed that it was frightening. He didn't even have time to react, his only second of registration being him questioning whether what he was seeing was all an illusion or not. It couldn't be. . .was that a dragon?

*BOOOOOM*

The loud collision of the dragon-like figure collided with the Ex-God of Destruction faster than any observer within the vicinity could see. For the singular, conscious ally of Krguel himself, he stood utterly baffleless while the ones that he betrayed were mixed with a multitude of emotions. From the depths of despair from witnessing the most powerful being in their universe getting defeated to their beloved king being killed right before their eyes by someone unrecognizable yet familiar, this new spectacle was different. A shining light that came from the sky above into the sea of chaos, despair, and darkness, it's radiant causing the darken clouds to become more and more dispersed in order to unveil the sky above. It could all be piled up into one singular word: Hope. A hope that continued to rise as they watched the raging radiance fight on against the little darkness that clung on in the epicenter.

Krugel groaned, his last attempt of defense being an arms crossed and tensing his body in order to brace himself. What he felt was a fist pushing against him at an unbelievable amount of force. One that was certainly greater than that of Champa's. More questions began to spring into his head yet he didn't have time to deal with it. He was struggling with a great deal of effort since he was pretty much in the jaws of a golden dragon, "Jus–Just who in the hell is this!" Slowly but sure, his eyes were slowly beginning to adjust to the light itself and was finally beginning to make out its features. Somewhat, mid-back length black spiky hair, fur as dark as blood covered by a gray Gi outlined in orange with a tail flowing out from the back, and blazing orange eyes that seemed to burn with more intensity each passing second. Confused since he was completely unrecognizable compared to everyone else, he couldn't help but question due to the familiarity in Ki signature.

"A saiyan?" Krugel thought.

Unbeknownst to him, this Saiyan in particular clenched his teeth and sucked in a breath, his power thrumming to levels that only those from the Tournament of Power had witnessed. One built upon through countless pain, sorrow and strife he had endured while being expanded by all the love and treasures he gained along the way. From what he saw upon entry on this planet left him with a sour taste in his mouth and he just couldn't resist taking action. Now. . .it was time for him to let it all out, "DRAGON FIST, EXPLOSION!"

His roar, carrying the wishes of all the Saiyans in Universe 6 into one attack, broke through Krugel's guard atlas and left him winded with a gut wrenching punch to the stomach. The light burst into a pillar that shot into the sky, the clouds dispersing to reveal the bright shining sky that was once a common norm. All the Saiyans of Universe 6 watched in awe while Krugel was blown and sent rocketing through several buildings before impacting the ground, resulting in a large explosion that desolated the remaining destroyed area and left a geyser of debris to erupt into the sky.

The light began to slowly dissipate, and slowly began to reveal the hero to everyone else as he stared down dangerously at where he sent Krugel flying: smoke clearing to reveal the Ex-God of Destruction groveling in pain before glaring up at his assailant who was taking in some breaths. His hair covered his facial expression as the wind blew against it before tilting his head up to glare back at him. No other words were said other than a mere announcement by the Saiyan himself that put him flat on his back, "Kuzuku Ayoma from Universe 7. Just to let you know."

A/N: Phew, chapter done and sealed. For starters, I wanted Champa to get a moment to shine a bit even though he was defeated by Krugel in the end. Most fics seemed to really skip over giving him a fight and even some screen time other than being a fodder side character. What I kind of aimed for was to show that he was still a God of Destruction and for a reason thus having him really only lose to someone who was an Ex-God of Destruction with a backstory of his own that links them was the route I went with. Though, the main attraction was definitely the reinforcements from Universe 7's arrival at the end. I always imagined it being like that ;). Anyways, that's all for this chapter and I hope you enjoyed the read! Until we meet again!
