"Ron?" asked Harry quickly as Ron walked tipsily towards the burrow. "Hiyah Harry." Ron said tripping over a stump. "Bloody hell." Said Ginny running quickly towards Ron. "Are you alright?" Ginny asked, looking around for the person who delivered Ron back to the burrow. Dean half waved, as he got out of the car.
"Oh shit." Ginny said grabbing Ron and tugging him inside. "Hi Dean, thanks for driving Ron back. Do you know what happened?" Harry asked, pushing his hands deeper into his pockets. "Nope. I just came to the bar tonight and Ron seemed very drunk. So I just took him home." Harry clapped him on the back. "Thanks mate." He said kindly.
"Hey listen Harry. Do you know if Ginny is single?" Harry nearly fell off balance. "You mean my fiancé?" Harry said challengingly. Dean flushed with embarrassment. "Oh, congrats." Harry grinned. "Thanks." They stood in silence until Dean muttered something about leaving.
"Alright Ron. What happened yesterday?" Ginny asked Ron when he woke up. "Long story. I need to talk to Roxy." He moved to get up but Ginny knocked him hard off his feet and he sat back down. She was about to speak when a owl came soaring in.
Ron caught the letter and read it quickly to himself. "Thank Merlin!" He yelled. "RON." Ginny roared. "You show up at the burrow drunk as hell, then you won't tell us what happened. Explain now before I tell mum."
"You wouldn't dare." Said Ron horror struck. "Watch me," she said slightly smiling. "Fine, fine... fine! Alright I'll tell." Ron said taken back.
Ginny sat down next to his bed folding her hands in her lap. "I've realized I'm not really over Hermione and I've been using Roxy as a excuse for liking Hermione. Then I found out she was going to have a baby and I went livid. The only solution to my problem was to drink and well that didn't really go too well. We broke up and it was a false alarm. But it made me realize what the bloody hell I was doing."
Ginny clapped her hand over her mouth. "What are you going to do about Hermione?" Harry asked, Ron and Ginny jumped forgetting Harry was there too.
"I donno. I have to go back to school first. Didn't get enough requirements to start Auror training."
Harry nodded. "She's with Draco. You know that." Ginny said frowning. "Believe me.. I know." Ron said annoyed. "That prat." Ginny said shaking her head. "Ron why didn't you tell us any of this?" Harry asked concerned.
"It's mental. You lot have the perfect relationship. I mean look your getting married. It's clear your in-love. I just felt jealous and that you wouldn't understand what it felt like to loose someone that close to you."
Harry shook his head, and Ginny slightly giggled. "Us perfect? Did you forget the part when I was off saving the world?" Harry said smiling. "That really is mental. You know we know what that's like." Ron shrugged.
"Look mate. Go back to school- become a Auror and Hermione will come around. I know it." Harry said not confidently. "Thanks you guys." Ron said turning red.
September 1st
"Hermione you've got everything?" Draco said kissing Hermione on the cheek. "Well if you could fit into a trunk I'd have everything." She said sheepishly. His face flushed a vibrant red. "Alright I've best be going." Hermione said straightening her badge. "Alrighty. Cya Hermione! Write to me lots. I'll try to come visit when I can." Draco kissed the top of her head before she dragged her trunk towards her.
She walked along the train and went into the compartment where the head boy and girl go, along with all the little prefects. She smiled to herself as she stuffed her trunk into the rack.
She pulled out her wand, and grabbed her book; leaning against the back wall of the compartment. She started to read until she was rudely interrupted by the new head boy. She didn't even bother to think about who the head boy would be.
"Hermione?"
