This scene references back to He's Back of the main story. Blossom's POV. Held off on posting it until I'd passed a certain point in the story then forgot about it until now. Hope you enjoy!

This place was horrible. The noise hurt her head and she couldn't look anywhere with seeing some sort of unpleasant reminder or another. Butch wasn't making it easier either. Blossom knew he was worried about the mayor but she really needed him to just be quiet.

The worst one always managed to find a way into her field of vision too. The woman she had yet to find the name for. She'd find it one day, she wouldn't stop looking until she found it. She just hadn't found it yet.

Blossom knew that at this point the chances of finding out who that woman was before she herself died was unlikely to say the least. Her therapist was always telling her that she couldn't hyper focus on who the woman was. Blossom couldn't help it though. She had never failed someone as badly as she had this one woman and she wanted to at least do something right for her. She couldn't do that if she didn't know who the woman had been though.

The shrieking of tires resounded around her and Blossom barely managed not to flinch. Looking through the glass screen she saw that alleyway again, the man tied up next to the dumpster. She knew if she were to walk forward just three steps that she would see the car to her right, driver stepping out, woman laying not far in front of it covered in blood and almost nothing else.

She swallowed thickly. Trust Him to find a way to show her the things she never wanted to see again. The sound of her sisters and her crying Bunny's name sounded through the space and Blossom closed her eyes for just a second to try and keep in control.

When she opened them she saw another familiar screen that she couldn't seem to approach or turn away from. She grit her teeth and kept walking.

The scene was at school, the day after that poor woman had been hit. She'd insisted on going only to quickly regret it. Lunch time. That was when Butch had made that off handed comment.

'You're not all that. You three can't save everyone after all.'

Oh, she'd never been more angry with Butch than she'd been in that moment. She still couldn't feel bad for breaking three of his ribs. Brick hadn't been happy and had tried to confront her. Blossom remembered fleeing when the whole thing nearly put her in tears. Thankfully Brick let it go. He was oddly good at sensing when and what he could push her with. She assumed it was a counterpart thing although Berserk either didn't have that sense. Well, that or she just ignored it.

A flash of her covered in tar flashed by but that one was easy. Seeing the state her female counterpart had put her in just made her angry. Anger she could work with.

It changed quickly though, as if sensing that the scene wasn't doing what it needed to. The next thing she saw was the warehouse. The one where she had finally confronted Ace after taking down his illegal human trafficking men.

She watched as an image of herself shot down through the roof. Ace and his gang coughed at the dust that she'd kicked up and she let them recover. She'd wanted their full attention when she talked to them.

Ace finally looked up at her and gave her that smile.

"Blossie, the up and coming hottie! What cans I do for you Powerpuff?"

The Blossom in front of her glared at the man. She never had liked Ace. She was always left feeling unclean after dealing with him.

"Ace. I'd like to think you have an idea as to why I'm here," the her on screen said. Ace's smile took on a darker tint.

"I's might have a clue or two. You gots somethin against my operations."

"Yes. One in particular though. The illegal human trafficking stops now."

"You make it seem like yous be the one callin the shot here Blossie. Get er boys!"

The rest of the gang launched at Blossom. She hadn't hesitated. She dodged ever punch and kick with only half a thought before landing a punch or kick of her own. In no time, she'd had the gang doubled over in pain or straight up unconscious. She looked to Ace, eyes cold.

"Like I was saying Ace. It stops."

"And ifs I say no?"

She hadn't held back after that. She read the medical report of Ace's injuries later, purely curious. Two broken ribs, left hand frost burned to the point of nerve damage, shattered left eye orbital, right leg broken in three different places. That was just the worst of it, but most definitely not all of it.

She might have gone further if she wasn't worried about accidentally killing him. That and the cops showed up after that. When she'd visited Ace in the hospital afterwards he was quick to tell her the he'd ordered his men to stop all illegal human trafficking operations. She'd warned him then to not go near his sisters and he'd agreed but the glint in his eyes worried her. He was a criminal she no longer knew. A type she had never had to deal with before that point. Not really at least.

She supposed in a way, Ace wasn't too different from Hardy. It was what she'd seen in that glint in his eyes. It was why she still wouldn't let her sisters near him.

The image shifted again, this time showing the alley before she had dropped down. The woman sobbing, stripped, and pinned. The grin on the man still haunted her to this day.

"Don't know that I really want to know but what do you see?" Butch asked. Blossom continued to stare a bit before dragging her eyes away and continuing in the direction they had previously been heading in.

"It's not important. Just...a memory of a day where things changed. A memory I'd much rather forget," she said.

Unfortunately, it was one that she knew would never not haunt her.

I didn't really review these before deciding to post them so sorry for any errors. Hope you enjoyed them though! I hope to write a few more of these over these next few months. There's a few I've been itching to type out! Until next time, ciao!
