Hey everyone, Poke'boy24 back with the next Chapter of Duelist Loud where Lincoln will be dueling a ghost from one of his Friend's past, but for now let hit the Reviews.

Claircrystal: Yes, it is annoying getting bombarded with demands for updates as well being nagged over something stupid like Typos because again, for the last time, I can't control how this Site update things since I go over them multiple times and again they're STILL there!

Crio Yaroi: That's Lynn for you, stubborn and psycho when things don't go the way she wants them to go like her superstition problem.

ghostslinger493: Alien Maelstrom was deleted a while ago since nobody wanted to adopt it like my Jump City Juubi or Sinful Heaven stories.

Now that reviews are done, let get on with the Story!

Remember that I DON'T own Yugioh or Loud House in any way except for Lincoln's OC Deck.

(Chapter 10: The Rare Hunter: Part 1: Trapped and Snared)

The Sun was rising over the Island as a beam off sunlight shone over the Boy's Camp as Lincoln stirred when the ray beamed upon his face. "Gmmm~… Mom it's Saturday… Five more minutes please~…" he grumbled rolling to his other side before a Seagull landed on his head.

"Squa-AAAAAAWWWW! Squa-AAAAAAWWWW!" the Sea-bird squawked loudly causing the three boys to scream and hold their ears from the weird wakeup call.

"THE DIAMONDBACK RATTLESNAKE!" Stephan called out thinking that he must have fallen asleep in class again before rubbing his eyes to see that he wasn't in a classroom, but rather in the Forest. "Oh right, the Tournament…" he groaned before stretching his back before getting up to see what he could gather for breakfast.

"Hey Stephan, where're you going?" Trek asked with a yawn while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"I'm going to see what I can find us for Breakfast." The Middle-schooler said heading into the Forest while the other two decided to get a little more sleep.

(AN: Remember this chapter as well the last one takes place at the same time so this was want been happening while Stephan was out.)

/ / /

After a few more moments Lincoln and Trek began to fully wake up as they yawned before stretching the kinks out of their backs.

"Hey Trek, where did Stephan go?" the White hair Boy asked rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he noticed that their third wasn't with them.

Turning towards his friend the Red-head simply answered. "He went out to find something we could use to make breakfast." He said wiping the lenses of his Goggles before putting them back on his forehead. "So until anyone has all the Star-chips needed to enter the Castle, we'll have to fend on our own for a while." He added since who knows how spots for the Championship Finals have already been filled since yesterday.

/ / /Pegasus's Castle/ / /

Sitting within the Dining-room Pegasus was sipping some morning Tea while waiting for his breakfast as it was now another day of the Tournament and two more spots have been filled last night. 'Hmm~ I wonder whom our next Finalists will be? Maybe I should make an announcement so that the Tournament will be even more fun~' he mentally hummed as there were only five spots remaining meaning the rest of the Participants will be trying a lot harder to earn their spot in the finals.

Hearing the sound of a cart being pushed the Game-creator sat his Tea now as his Kitchen Staff wheeled in his Breakfast as two of the three Finalists entered to enjoy their morning meal.

/ / /Back with the Duo/ / /

While waiting for the older Boy to return, Lincoln and Trek decided to past the time with the Red-head teaching the Rookie a few lessons on Strategy by having another Practice-duel on a tree-stump with the former having only one Monster Card, his Proto-Pangolin, placed sideway in defense mode while the latter had three Monster Cards placed in attack mode.

Looking at the three Cards he saw that they were all Yellow meaning they're Normal Monsters as one had the image of an Elephant Skeleton (Mammoth Graveyard), another with the image of Silver fur Wolf on top of a peak howling at the Moon (Silver Fang), and the last one having an image of a very muscular humanoid-looking creature with Dark-brown skin and four arms and four Pink Mask-like faces around a 'hump' that was probably his head wearing a Dark-blue Bodysuit with Dark-red around the front of his waist as well shins and toes and Dark-yellow Knee-pads and eight shoulder-pads and matching color fingerless Gauntlets with Dagger-blades on the wrists while the suit also had an opening showing his hard abs and, if you look close enough, his tiny bulging heart which was glowing Crimson(Dark Titan of Terror) as it was now the Red-head's turn.

"Okay Lincoln you have a good defense set up with your Pangolin…" Trek started causing the middle child to grin. "But a good defense won't be enough to keep your opponent from damaging your Life-points." He finished getting the rookie to look back down at the cards.

"What do you mean?" the White hair Loud asked with a confused raise of his eyebrow. "My Pangolin can't be destroyed by battle plus its defense is higher than your Monsters attack." He stated since his Monster's defense was 1400 while his Trek's Monsters are 1200 to 1300 in attack.

"True, but remember that there are Cards that can raise a Monster's attack like these here." Trek started showing him his Beast Fang and Dark Energy Equip cards placing them under his Wolf and Titan respectively. "Or tribute them to summon a more powerful Monster like this." He added showing him his Rude Kaiser card before placing it over his Mammoth. "And now that each of them has attack points higher than your Pangolin's defense which mean they can all attack now." He finished explaining before Lincoln shook his head.

"But my Life-points would still be safe even if my Pangolin was destroyed." He countered since a majority of his Monsters do have low attack power as well some having low defense.

"Again true, but only for one turn and even so what if your opponent had four or five Monsters on their field?" Trek questioned before placing two more Monster cards down with one being his Doron and the other his Feral Imp. "With your defense gone your opponent can use their other Monsters to attack you directly and wipe out your Life-points before you can even blink." He explained getting the Middle-child to look downcast since this Game has some many rules.

"Dang it! How can I even survive another Duel when all of my Monsters end up getting destroyed before I can even get a chance to counter attack?" Lincoln groaned pushing his hands on his forehead in frustration since he only got lucky in his last two Duels, one being the Card he needed while the other was on a time limit.

Feeling somebody tapping his shoulder he removed his hands to see Trek giving him a reassuring look. "Hey I know the Game can be frustrating at first, but that's why we need to go over as much as we can okay?" he reasoned getting the Beginner to breath and nod in understanding. "Good, now onto the next lesson, Trap Cards." He said removing his Monsters off of the stump before placing some of his own Traps on it. "Now the thing about Trap Cards is knowing when it's the right moment to use them." He started getting his friend to nod as they began their next lesson.

In another part of the area, a Girl who looked to be in her final year of Highschool fell onto the ground as she looked beat up as she looked up towards the person in front of her. "P-P-Please g-give m-m-me my Card back!" she cried weakly as the person took her favorite card out of her Deck before throwing it back at her as they scattered on the ground.

"No can do since this Card here is a rare and valuable misprint meaning that it would be wasted among your care." The person said with a gruff and muffled voice as they were wearing a Black Hoodie and a Facemask which concealed their identity as the Masked Duelist walked off leaving the poor Girl physical and emotionally broken as they chuckled. "Another Duelist beat, as well another Card for my collection." The masked person said to themselves as they wonder who their next victim will be.

"Man can you believe it, this newbie with an entire Deck full of never before seen Cards took out this Jerk who tore up three other Kids Decks." A Male Participant said to another catching the masked Person's attention.

"No way, really? Are you sure that those aren't just cards everybody else has?" the other Male Participant questioned not believing the other one bit.

"Serious man, this guy has Dragons and Turtles made of Plants and Ducks and Bugs wearing armor." The first Participant stated since he could barely describe what those Monsters looked like.

'Hmm… Seems like I've found my next victim…' the Masked Duelist hummed in thought as they unzipped their Hoodie showing a Cargo-vest under it before placing the Card they recently took into one of the pockets before pulling out another. 'And I have just the perfect Monster for the job.' They added grinning under their mask before adding the card into their Deck.

Back with Lincoln and Trek, the Red-head had just finished covering the bases of Trap-cards for the Rookie. "Okay so Continuous-traps can stay up on the Field while others can't, right?" the Middle child asked wondering if he had got that right.

"Yes that's right Lincoln, but some Continuous-traps, like my Spellbinding Circle, can only stay unless either it's destroyed or the Monster ensnared by it is destroyed or removed from the Field." Trek explained since some Continuous-traps also require Life-point payment to stay activated or have a turn limit from the moment they're activated.

Rubbing the sides of his head furiously, Lincoln let out a loud groan. "Graah! Why does this Game have to be so complicated?!" he groaned falling onto his back before taking a breath. "Maybe I should be dueling other Beginners like myself for the rest of the Competition." He stated while glancing at his Gauntlet seeing the four Star-chips he has so far.

"But Linc, even if there are any Beginners like yourself they would probably have at least a year of experiences as well some Tournament knowledge." The Goggle-wearing Boy explained causing the White-hair Rookie to nod in understanding.

Taking a moment to think about his friend's words as well how any future Duels may turn out, the Loud child stood up onto his feet. "Yeah, I guess that makes sense." He said since he's just going to have to try his best the next time he's in a Duel.

Before either of them could say another word, a cable suddenly shot at them before latching around Lincoln's Gauntlet!

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!" the White-hair Boy exclaimed completely startled before screaming as he was suddenly pulled off his feet and dragged away with Trek chasing after him.

/ / /

In another part of the area, the Masked Duelist stood by the Dueling Arena they have hacked while waiting for their cable to reel in their latest.

Soon Lincoln was dragged across the ground before stopping at the feet of the hooded figure with his face covered with minor scratches and mouth full of dirt and grass before pushing himself up while coughing out all the dirt from his mouth. "Cough!~ What the fu-cough~ your problem cough~?! He yelled/coughed as he glared at the zipped zipper of a Hoodie before looking upward only to scream and fall on his butt as he came face to face with a person wearing that terrifying Mask from the Predator Franchise.

"Greetings young man, hope you have been enjoying that Deck of yours since this will be the last time you'll use it!" the Masked person stated as the visor of their mask glowed before grabbing hold of the Boy's wrist and shoved him onto one of the platforms which quickly roused him up while they got up on the other.

At that moment Trek ran up from the brush just in time to see the Arena activating. "Lincoln! What's going on?!" he exclaimed with bated breath as the Wilderness Field, along with some Forest mixed in, appeared with the holographic imagery.

"I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA! ! !" Lincoln exclaimed with complete scared expression all over his face which gotten even more scared when shackles suddenly cupped around his ankles preventing him from even thinking of leaving.

"Can't have you leaving now can we…" the Masked figure started as they placed down their Deck. "At least not until I take your Deck from you that is." They finished as the Arena became fully activated before they messed with a few circuits since they don't want their job to be interrupted or recorded.

Looking back towards his captor, Lincoln managed to muster of enough courage to speak. "W-W-Who a-are y-you and wh-what do you w-w-want with m-my D-Deck?!" he exclaimed with a stutter as the person's visor glowed again causing his whole body to quake in fear.

Chuckling darkly that sent even shivers down Trek's spine, the Mysterious Duelist answered. "Whom I am isn't important but if you must know, I am a Collector of Rare cards and from what I've been hearing is that you have quite a deck full of never before seen cards." They said before clenching their hand tightly. "Cards which will soon become a part of my Collection!" they stated causing the Red-head below to widen his eyes in disbelief.

"Lincoln!" Trek called getting the Rookie's attention. "This guy's a Rare Hunter! Someone who take other Duelists Rare or Prized Cards and not just for their power or rarity, but also their slight misprint in either text or design!" he explained since some of the Duelists from previous Tournaments have reported about getting some of their Cards or Decks snatched from them.

Hearing this information caused the Loud Boy to sweat in terror since he's basically getting mugged but seeing no other way out of this, he swallowed the lump in his throat and place his Deck down. "F-Fine I'll Duel you, but if I win you let me and my friend go as well leave us alone… r-right?" he asked since his whole body was shaking as he felt those visor covered eyes staring deep into his soul.

"Of course, you have my word." The now revealed Rare Hunter said as they 'promised' to the agreement as both of them drew their hand as they soon began with the Duel.

(Rare Hunter LP: 4000 vs. Lincoln LP: 4000)

"I'll start this first." The Hunter said drawing a card before 'smirking' as a plan to finish this as quickly as possible formed within their heads. "I set a Monster in Defense mode and end my turn with two facedowns." They said as three of their Zones glowed before ending their turn.

Drawing a card Lincoln looked down at the holographic Field as he tried to remember which Monsters might get a power bonus. 'Okay, from yesterday with my duel with Stephan and that big jerk this Wilderness Field is a mixture of Wasteland and Meadow.' He thought while looking at his current hand only to frown as he doesn't have many Monsters in his hand. 'Dang it! I don't have a Warrior or Beast-warrior!' he mentally groan before remembering something from yesterday.

/ / /Flashback/ / /

It was after Trek's duel against that Jester guy and the White-haired Loud decided to ask the Red-head what had been on his mind during the entire duel. "Hey Trek I got to ask, how did both your and that Jester creep's Monsters suddenly get higher attack and defense points?" he asked with a raised brow as he was confused by that part.

Looking back towards the Newbie, Trek began explaining. "Well just before the Tournament started, Mr. Pegasus said that some of the Monsters we use will get a boost depending on what kind of Field they're on. That's called a Field power bonus." The Goggle wearing boy explained getting the other to tilt his head in confusion.

"Field power bonus? What's that and how does it work?" Lincoln asked while his new friend/coach stop to rub his chin in thought.

"Well, to put it simple, are you familiar with the term 'Home-field Advantage' in any way?" he ask getting the Middle-child to nod blankly since his Sister Lynn superstition belief that the Sport-fields back home were way luckier than those of their Rivals which is why she always do those stupid 'good luck rituals' every time she either plays or watch a Game. "Well in this Game, that term is taken to a whole new literal meaning since every type of Monster have a specific Field they do better on, as well as some that would be hamper due to those effects." He explained before gesturing to the Forest surrounding them. "This Forest for example is perfect for Beast types, like that Jester's Dark Gray Monster, Beast-warriors like my Rude Kaiser or your Squirrel Knight, Plants like your Forest Pounder, and Insects like your Dragonfly and Grasshopper monsters." He added getting the young Loud to nod in understanding.

"I think I get it, so the kind of Field your on decides which Monster gets a strength boost huh?" he said before taking out his Deck and looking through it to see what kinds of Monsters he got since this kind of knowledge will be very helpful to understand.

/ / /Flashback Over/ / /

Snapping his eyes back towards his hand, a small smile appeared on his face as he knew which Monster to play. "I summon Fire Anteater in Attack mode!" he exclaimed as a pillar of Fire wisp from the ground before being swiped along as his Monster appeared on the Field.

"Grrrooooo-OOOOOOAAAAAEEEEEWWW! ! !~" The Monster released a gruff high-pitch grunt/screech-like sound as a giant Anteater with Burnt-Red and Orange fur style in a flame-like pattern stood on its hind-legs swiping its large Coal-black fore-claws while flicking a long whip-like tongue made of fire.

*Fire Anteater: Lv3
Element: Fire
Type: Beast/Effect
(Atk: 1200/Def: 800 + 30% = Atk: 1560/Def: 1040)

"Alright Anteater, attack his facedown Monster with a Char Claw-swipe!" Lincoln called as his Beast rushed on all fours turns its target.

"Gro-OOOOEEEWWWW! ! !~" the Fire-beast screeched leaping up with its forearm reeled back before its paw became encased in flames while the claws extended as it swiped downward onto the hidden Monster, revealed to be an giant Green Bacteria-cell, before exploding in a fireball.

"Aaaahhhh! !" the Middle-child cried out as he was suddenly pelted by pieces of the Monster when it exploded before seeing his Life-points drop.

(Lincoln's LP: 4000 – 500 = 3500)

"W-WAIT!? !? How did my Life-points drop!?" Lincoln exclaimed questioningly before hearing the Masked Hunter chuckling.

"That would be the effect of my Giant Germ." They said holding up the card with the image of a gigantic Purple Bacteria-cell hovering over what seems to be a Valley before speaking again. "When this Monster is destroyed by battle my Opponent is dealt Five-hundred points of damage, but that's not all." They pause before suddenly two more copies of their Monster appeared on their side of the field. "And like all kind of Bacteria, this one multiples since I can special summon they straight from my Deck in attack mode." They explained as the sunlight reflected from their Visor.

Giant Germ: Lv2 x2
Element: Dark
Type: Fiend
Atk: 1000/Def: 100

Seeing that his Opponent's side quickly regain Monsters, Lincoln looked back at his hand as he decided to set up some defense. "I place three cards facedown and end my turn." He said as the zones in his Spell/Trap area flashed while he sweated nervously since this person would probably summon a more powerful Monster next turn.

Drawing a card the Rare Hunter began their turn. "I set one Monster in defense mode following with another facedown and end my turn." They said ending their turn while down in the sideline, Trek was giving them a questioning look.

'Strange? They didn't even bother to change their Giant Germs into defense mode.' The Red-head thought as something doesn't feel right.

Drawing his next card, a big grin appeared on the Middle-child's face. "I summon Lumber Dragon in attack mode!" he called excitedly as the Dragon made of Plants appeared on the field.

"GGGRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAARRR! ! !..." the wooden Monster released a loud hollow roar as it gain the Field bonus.

*Lumber Dragon: Lv4
Element: Earth
Type: Plant
(Atk: 1700/Def: 1200 + 30% = Atk: 2210/Def: 1560)

"Alright Lumber Dragon, attack one of his Germs with Forest Charge!" he exclaimed as the large Monster stampeded towards its target before releasing another loud roar as it stomped its large rooted foot upon the Bacteria…

SPATTER!~

…who splattered into upon heavy impact from the Plant type Monster's massive body while some bit pelted the White hair Boy.

*Lumber Dragon (Atk: 2210) vs. Giant Germ #1 (Atk: 1000)

(Lincoln's LP: 3500 – 500 = 3000)

(Rare Hunter's LP: 4000)

"Wait, how come my Life-points drop but yours haven't?" the Rookie asked before noticing a face-up Trap in the image of a Warrior being vaporized by an explosion while in the background a hand was drawing a card from a Deck.

"My Trap card Defense Draw turns the damage I would have taken to zero plus a little extra by drawing another card." The Masked person explained before their Visor glowed. "But that's not the only thing happening…" they added with a wicked tone causing a chill to run up the Middle-child's spine before something quickly caught his attention.

""Grrrooooo-OOOOOOAAAARRR! ! !/Grrrooooo-OOOOOOEEEEEWWW! ! !"" the sound of both his Dragon and Anteater roaring/screeching drew his and Trek's attention as the holographic images quickly began rotting and shriveling before bursting into particles.

"What's going on?!" Lincoln exclaimed with wide eyes filled with shock and horror from what happened to both of his Monsters as he then noticed that his Deck was sparking with Pinkish-purple electricity.

Trek's eyes also widen upon noticing the sparks dancing around his friend's Deck which means only one thing. "Lincoln! I think your Deck got infected with a Virus!" he called causing the other Boy to look at him with a look of shock all over his face.

"A VIRUS!? !? !? How?! When?!" the Loud child exclaimed wondering how a Deck of Card could possibly get infected with a virus?!

Soon the sound of the Hunter's dark chuckling caught their attention as they held up another Trap card only this one has the image of a cluster of spiked Blackish-violet bacteria cells. "Your friend is right as your Deck was infected with a virus, but not any virus, the ORIGNIAL Crush Card Virus which not only destroys all your Monster on the Field, but also every single one in your Deck with at least Fifteen-hundred or more Attack points and send them all to the Graveyard." They explained before the Red-head perked up.

"But the Crush Card Virus Trap's effect only lingers for three turns. So how is this one different?" Trek questioned having seen a few Duels involving use of that Trap.

His question only seemed to make the Hunter chuckle more before finally replying. "Fool, those are the revived versions as mine is a Rare and Original print of this Trap so its original effect is still in play." They stated as the White-hair Boy sighed before removing over half of every Monster he got that has the mentioned attack points.

"Guess I end my turn." Lincoln said sweating as he now has no Monsters on his field before looking down at his three facedowns. 'I hope these things work this time…' he thought solemnly since he hoped things would turn out better than the last time he used these.

Drawing a card, the Rare Hunter 'grinned' as they looked at the card they just drew. "First I Flip my set Monster into face-up Attack mode." They said flipping their set Monster faced up as the zone flashed before a Dark-indigo muscular Humanoid Creature with a short Green hair where its head should be along with two short Dark-brown horns coming from its 'neck' as the Rookie gain a confused look at seeing the headless Monster.

Hiro's Shadow Scout: Lv2
Element: Dark
Type: Fiend/Effect
Atk: 650/Def: 500

"Now I activate my Shadow Scout's Flip-effect." The Masked Duelist said as their Monster's 'chest' began moving before opening showing an enormous Eye which began glowing a menacing Red color causing the White hair Boy to flinch and shake nervously as he could actually feel the Fiend's eye staring right at him. "Thanks to my Scout's special eye you draw three Cards and reveal them before discarding any Spell-cards into the Graveyard." They explained as the Visor glowed the same color as the Monster's eye.

Drawing his three cards Lincoln set them down as his Opponent saw that he had drawn one Monster and two Spells, both of them Equips, before placing them in his Graveyard. 'Dang it, those would have been really helpful to have.' He mentally groaned since the Equips he discarded where his *Pinecone Mace and *Boulder Hammer as he was going to need every Equip he has if he was going to survive this Duel.

"Now I tribute my two Monsters to summon a Beast so terrifying it will end this here and now." The Hunter stated as the zones holding his Germ and Scout glowed before both Monsters turned into particles causing Lincoln to sweat as he knows that they were going to summon a powerful Monster.

(An: Now here's the part where Stephan returned from his own Duel.)

Returning back to Camp, the Middle Schooler was surprised to see a Dueling Arena activated as well seeing Lincoln Dueling the one he'd been looking for!

Running up towards the Red-head, he asked what was going on. "Trek! What's going on here?! Why is Lincoln dueling this Guy?!" he questioned having only been gone for almost an hour to see a Rookie facing off against the one he had been searching for the past year.

"Stephan, it's bad! This Guy just came out of nowhere and targeted Lincoln directly and-" Trek started before being cut off by the older Boy.

"I know, this Guy's a Rare Hunter which mean Lincoln will be losing a Card to this Jerk." Stephan stated glaring towards the Card-thief having some history as well as a score to settle.

"It's not just a Card, it's his entire Deck!" the Goggle-wearing Boy exclaimed shocking the Reptile/Dino Duelist with the surprise info.

"OOOOOOOAAAAA-OOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR! ! ! ! !~"

Before either of them could say another word, a massive roar echoed through the entire area causing the ground to vibrate from the aftershock as Stephan's eyes to dilate in shock since he knows that sound all too well.

"Sound like they've brought out one of their strong Monsters." Trek said as both of them were eclipsed by the recently summoned Monster's shadow showing that it was enormous in size.

"No, not their Monster, my Monster." Stephan simple said catching the Red-head's attention as he was completely shocked by this information while the Hoodie-wearing Teen looked directly up at the reason why he was here to begin with. "We meet again… Black Tyranno…" he whispered seeing his original strongest Monster right on the Field.

Standing there large and mighty was a Tyrannosaur covered with thick Black armor-like scales as well as Crimson Eyes, forearms, and underbelly as well twelve spikes, one on each elbow and five around its biceps, as it released another loud terrifying roar showing its giant maw filled with razor-sharp fangs.

Black Tyranno: Lv7
Element: Earth
Type: Dinosaur/Effect
(Atk: 2600/Def: 1800 + 30% = Atk: 3380/Def: 2340)

Seeing the enormous Beast caused the Middle-child to freeze in fear as the way that Dinosaur staring at him made him feel like those People in the Movies before they got eaten.

"Now Black Tyranno, attack and finish this Duel!" the Rare Hunter called as they 'smiled' under their mask as they were about to had an entire Deck added to their collection.

"OOOOOOOAAAAA-OOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRRR! ! !~" the Black Tyrannosaurus roared as it stomped towards its prey as each heavy step it took caused the field to shake.

""LINCOLN! ! ! ! !"" both Trek and Stephan cried out as the White hair Boy was completely frozen with fear as the massive beast prepare to snap it jaws upon him.
