Segment 1

GOOD

Each segment in this movie is a remake of an episode but with a lot of big changes that make them completely different. This one's the most different from the original, so it's the one that most feels like its own thing, which is nice.

BAD

When the KKK show up, they think Bill is black but have no reaction when he claims to be white. They don't exactly need to, but I would've liked to see what their reaction would've been.

Segment 2

GOOD

When the old people turn into kids, there's a lot of easily noticeable things that reference what they looked like when they were still old. They're all wearing the same clothes, one of them still holds his cane, and one of them talks like an old lady. I like all that.

BAD

When Mr. Conroy says they shouldn't play because they're too old, he asks Mr. Bloom when the last time he fell down was. I'm not sure if he's asking that to say he's old or to say he's crazy, but either way, he asks it like he's trying to say it's been a long time since the last time he fell. Know what I mean? Like when someone has bad breath so you say "When was the last time you brushed your teeth?" That's the opposite of the point he's trying to get across.

Segment 3

GOOD

I was really expecting to not like this one as much as the original, but everything I liked about the original was either just as good or cranked up to 11 in this remake.

BAD

The fact I could find no flaw.

Segment 4

GOOD

In the original, the main character was with his wife. In this one, he's on the plane by himself. Well, not by himself because there's still the other passengers, but you know what I mean. Anyway, the feeling of isolation that's added by removing the wife character makes the situation much more intense.

BAD

Again, there was nothing I didn't like. This is my first time seeing this movie and I thought it was a lot better than I've heard it is. I thought Segment 2 was really bad, so maybe that's why the rest was so good.

That's gotta be the record for fastest time I've updated this, which makes sense. One movie is a lot easier to get through than an entire season of episodes.

And since the movie's done, the 1985 series is next. Only problem is, I've been having a really hard time finding it anywhere.
