Familiar Faces
Makoto hadn't noticed until now that he was even walking. He felt defeated, he didn't care where he was headed, which direction or what he plans to do. All he knows is that he's moving forward somewhere. And he isn't in the right mind at the moment to even care.
He just wanted to go back home to his friends. If they were still there that is. Anywhere but to be alone like this.
And out the blue, almost like the universe had read his mind, a voice called out to him.
"Makoto!"
He stopped. His face was devoid of emotion.
"Hey, wait up!"
The voice was young, female. But most important of all, he recognized that voice. But it should be impossible. How is she here? In this strange world?
Within the flash of a second, Makoto snapped to the direction of the voice. Afraid that it would be nothing but his imagination.
But what he saw shook his entire being, as he saw the girl before her was no other than his little sister,
"K-komaru?"
He said weakly.
He was in complete disbelief.
Komaru huffed out of breath as she bent over her knees.
"huff. I almost couldn't huff catch up to you."
She chuckles.
"Why were you even walking huff so fast?"
He couldn't even process what he was seeing. In such a place like this, he found his little sister. But how? Why?
"..."
"hellooo, earth to Makotooo. Are you there?"
She waves her hands in front of the unresponsive Makoto. But all of a sudden, he grabs hold of her hand.
"huh?"
She wondered why his grip seemed so tight before he finally spoke.
"It- it's really you."
His eyes that were swollen from tears were once again starting to well up.
Seeing her brother like this, she couldn't help but feel a bit worried.
"What do you mean it's really me? Makoto, are you okay?"
Suddenly, before she could even see it coming, she was tackled into a tight hug.
"I-I missed you...I missed you so much." He cried softly.
She could feel her brother's tears starting to soak into her bright yellow jacket.
Missed me? She thought. After all they were only separated for 25 minutes due to the large crowd.
He held her so tight. He felt so happy, so very happy. But he was also afraid. He was afraid that she could disappear any second, and he would never see her again.
She looks down at her older brother, she could feel his entire body trembling and shaking. His hug was so tight, it feels as if he'll never let go.
Though confused, she didn't hesitate to return the hug. Which led to an even tighter bear hug.
"Hey, there's no need to cry." she let out a weak laugh. "You're making it seem like I'm the older sibling here."
Makoto chuckled in return, only to continue to weep, as the two siblings hugged each other like it was the end of the world in the middle of a bustling sidewalk. Without a care in the world about anyone who may be watching.
The walk back home was quiet, but not quite the uncomfortable type. It was a comforting silence, as Makoto didn't mind. The sound the pair of footsteps made was comfort enough to him that his sister was still here.
He still couldn't understand why she was here though. How she was here. Not when this place seemed to be another world in itself. With how she reacted earlier, when Makoto mentioned he had missed her. It seemed she has no memory of the tragedy.
This was another question in itself. But another one was the fact that they were walking to what is apparently their "home".
At this point Makoto decided to just go with it and walk with her there. Whatever may happen, he will always be there to protect his sister, he could promise that.
Before he knew it, they stopped at their destination.
An apartment complex? He thought to himself.
They entered the building and reached their apartment door. But before they managed to take a step forward, he felt a hand on his shoulder.
He turned to see his sister giving her best smile and gesture of reassurance and said,
"Hey, I might not understand what's going through your head right now. But... I just want you to know. I'm here for you big brother. Feel free to talk to me anytime. Okay?"
Makoto returned a bright and grateful smile.
"Okay."
After that moment of reassurance, Komaru pressed down on the doorbell. Seconds later, the door opens.

Hello there again. You know I really like listening to the Danganronpa ending song from the anime after reading each episode. Anyways, for any of you wondering when Izuku or class 1A may show up. Don't worry, we'll get around to that soon. In the meantime, I have a couple things planned.
