Restoration, Quite a Celebration
"You sure do love All Might, huh?"
Makoto commented after a good long while of boardgames, looking at the variety of All Might merchandise around the room.
Seriously, it was as if a hulking monster of All Might-esque colors suddenly barged in the room and vomited yellow, blue, red and white everywhere.
Euck.
Weird analogy.
"Of course! All Might has been my favorite since I was little!" Midoriya beamed and his eyes shone with delight.
"Even since then, I've wanted to be like him. He's been my inspiration for the longest time."
Makoto smiled at his enthusiasm. It was endearing to see Izuku very passionate about it.
And so, he wondered. "Why All Might specifically?" He asked. "I mean, I don't know very many heroes, but I do know there's a whole lot of heroes out there. So why All Might? Er- Not that I have a problem with that or anything."
Judging by the expression, one would almost believe Midoriya has been waiting to answer this specific question his whole life.
"Well, I guess it all started with his most famous video. You know which one I'm talking about."
Video? Erm... "YesDefinitely." He's gonna have to search up that up later he supposed.
"When he entered the scene, all those people that he saved on his back." Izuku's eyes wandered to the ceiling. Recalling in fond memory.
"He wasn't scared, and he didn't falter. He smiled and told everyone that "I am here!".
Midoriya looked down at his right hand before balling it into a fist.
"That's the type of hero I want to be. Someone who would smile in the face of danger and reassure everyone that everything will be fine."
"I want to be proud to call myself a hero. Even though, everyone says I can't. They tell me I won't get far without a quirk."
"But even so, I'm going to try. After all it's all I can do. I didn't stop then, so I'm not stopping now."
There was a fire in Izuku's heart. Burning bright and hot like the sun. Those green eyes he saw once filled with despair now instead lit up with a blazing hope.
It was admirable. Makoto can't help but feel inspired and at awe.
And so, it made him think.
It made him think of himself.
The same way his eyes shone when he saved his friends back then with hope.
His words had brought them back with a fighting spirit strong enough to defeat even the world's catalyst for literal apocalypse, Junko Enoshima.
Those words that ultimately brought that piece of hope back to the world that had all but lost it.
That...of course.
How could he forget. After everything, it all circles back to hope.
The light he had momentarily lost when he left his home world. It was now coming back to him.
No matter what stands in his way, what adversaries he will face, he will always have that hope to hold on to.
That chance to not only get back home, but to save this world as well.
At last, he feels he knows what he has to do.
A direction his heart is pulling him towards.
A hero, huh?
Who is he if he doesn't have the guts to try?
After all, who is he, but the Ultimate Hope.
And so that night, Makoto left with a heart lighter than air.

Hey sorry for the really short chapter.
I couldn't really fit this one into the last chapter as well as I wanted it to. So, I had to cut it into another part.
On the other hand, great news! The main cover has updated! (A few months ago, technically.) Man, did I work so hard on it. Check it out if you have the time. Seriously, I think you'd love it. Makoto looks awesome in that pose.
Extra note: I updated some chapters and fixed some mistakes. Most of them are unnoticeable but the change is there.
