In God we Trust... and serve.

PS.

IT'S NOT HINDUISM, IT'S VAISHNAVISM!

HINDUISM IS A RELIGION.

Vaishnavism IS THE SUPREME FORM OF SPIRITUALISM.

GET YO FACT RIGHT!

Also, Star and Stripes reminded me of my dear step-mama. So I'm making her as OP as I can because let's be honest, we need more powerful women in this fandom.

And yes, she's a Hare Krishna because I'm the author, and whatever you trolls and nay-sayers say will only fuel the fire of my sacrifice.

Nothing you will write will stop me.

Now, after this war declaration, let's see how my Star will win this thing!

~0~

It was over...

It was all over...

The American Hero had won, Shigaraki was no more... and in its place surrounded by blood and the dark cloak he used to wear, a child laid curled on his side.

(He was laying on a chunk of floating plastic Star had no memory of seeing. She would have to ask her bros if this chunky piece of floating garbage had been picked up or not... but one thing was for sure, this mini-continent had saved her life also.)

Alive... despite everything. Despite the worrying amount of blood and gore around him.

Beside him, the ghost of a white-haired man raged and lunged toward the sleeping child as he tried to return to his previous host. Only to have Yamaduta's drag his sorry ass away with their noose around his neck.

This had been All For One... and he was gone for good. Dragged away to be judged by Yamaraja. Bitten by dogs and burned

It was over...

All

Over.

Stars and stripes... legal name, Cassie Blum (actual legal name, Shanti Midoriya Devi Dasi. But this was not something she wanted the buzzards to know.) let herself fall on her knees. It had been an amazing fight, one that made your blood pump and your ears ring, the one in which your only true strength lay in God's mercy and nothing else.

And this, in her opinion, was the best. It reminded the holder of God's Vani that, no matter how powerful she was, one day, her time would come.

Her husband knew also, and both were fully prepared for this eventuality. Heck, he'd even memorize the whole ceremony for casting ashes to the Yamuna and Ganga, including the ancient Sanskrit prayers.

And to be honest, the Heroic Vaishnavi had expected her body to return to the US in a box... or whatever bits of dust to be sent to India.

But no, Krishna had answered her prayer.

There was a reason why Shanti's Herosona was based on the all-American model of Aryans, something they had taken from the Nazis.

But for Shanti, it was a way to remind the People of the US's eternal Motto.

In God we Trust.

And Shanti not only trusted the sweet guy, but swore to serve him life after life after her name Cathleen had been removed, and her Guru named her Shanti Devi, the Goddess of peace.

And, being raised in the ancient culture of Vaishnavism, she knew that peace could only be established when Krishna was worshipped by all, and Holy Kshatriya would protect those who feared and suffered. Even if it would lead to her 'death'.

And Yet... Today, her Sweet Lord had seen her ultimate fate and said 'nope, no gonna happen.'

and thus, she had survived to serve him more as Shanti.

She whipped the blood flowing from her nose and mouth. And then rasped. " There's a healing field around me." and just like that, she felt whatever wounds, bruises, and other life-threatening injuries mend.

She could feel her body's cells rejuvenating. Sure Bhagavan in the atoms had kept everything in place, and, true, Shanti could have easily no-sell the face-grab of doom completely but...

Just as Govardhan hill showed the signs of king Indra's wrath and how Rama and Lakshmana respected the snake weapon of Indrajit despite being God and not needing to have Garuda chase it away.

The heroic blond turned to the blue youth holding a flute to his lips, his legs covered with a bright yellow cloth, his chest broad and his blackish-blue eyes shining with pure divine love and mirth. In his broad chest was a garland that reached his knee's five types of fragrant forest flowers could be found there, as with numerous bee's signing His glories.

"Thank God!" Star sends a thumbs up to the Lord of numerous universes and the lover of the innumerable Gopis of Vraja.

Krishna sent her two reddish, petal-like thumbs back. " No problem, Friend. But you're not done yet, there is much for you to do."

"Yes sir... A hero's job is never done." And with that, the number one Hero from America got up to her feet, dusted herself off and walked to the bundle of black cloth on the grimy ground (it was a plastic island, god had saved his devotee and a child with a pile of floating trash... huh.), and gently lifted it, revealing a young boy, age six, with pale blue hair, a pair of fresh scars on his eye and lips and a beauty mark.

This... was how Shigaraki Tomura looked before he turned his back on the mundane goods.

"Oh Baby, so young to be turned evil." Stars and Stripe cooed as she picked the sleeping child off the ground. He would sleep some more, since, after the fight they had, the poor dear was exhausted... and in desperate need of a bath.

"Alright, Tomura's secure. Johnny, any sign of the lizard man?" She contacted her team, those who had stayed behind the lines to back her up if things really went more southern than south-America.

"Sis! You live!"

"Of course I lived, I'm eternal!" she grinned. "God wanted to keep me on this earth a little longer than expected. So, the lizard man, scar-face and Harley Quin, any news? You got any of them?"

"Yes ma'am, he's been apprehended, same as the magician. The girl and the scarred man could not be reasoned with, the snipers took them down."

She frowned as some tears filled her eyes. Sure, she may be a warrior, but she was, at her heart, a very soft woman.

"I see, status?"

"Hit confirmed, the blond girl is paralyzed from the shoulder down and the scared man... We will try to transfer him to the secure hospital in Los Angeles, his status was critical even before the shot hit... Me think it was only spite and hatred that kept him going."

" Oh, Lordy all Sweet... if he dies, may all my sukrti goes to Dabi. Whatever happened to have him go so bad... if, by Krishna's mercy, he pulls through, I want him interrogated. We need all sides of all stories on this one."

"Yes, sis.." Johnny replied. " Also, the Hero Commission desires to have some... words with you."

Star rolled her eyes as she walked away from ground zero. The fight was over, this Asura had been dealt with and the child he had taken hostage was now freed from his poison's influence. And since she knew Shiva-ji...

'Now... who got him first? Shiva-ji? Or Yamaraja?' She would have to ask her Guru, he would know those things. "Right, the Hero 'safety' commission... tell them that I ain't under their jurisdiction, and the head of the American guild of Krishna Conscious Warrior (Or the Guild of international Heroes... or just The Guild.) has nothing to do with them save slap 'em hard in the face. Also, start an investigation on them, Endeavour and the Hawk, the poor kid looks like a chicken that passed through the devil's wood chipper. And then hit the Japanese commission while you at it, as much of an ass as AFO was, the guy still had a point about this whole shit show."

"Yes, Ma'am. Noted. What would be your plan now that you have taken down the world's most dangerous Villain?"

Despite herself, Stars and Stripes busted in laughter. "Oh, You think that guy was the most dangerous villain?!" She exclaimed with unlimited amusement, only to quiet down as she felt Tomura give an unhappy whimper.

"Oh, Shh-Shh. It's alright baby, nothing to be scared about. Just heard some pretty funny things on the radio." She gently whispered to the red-eyed child, who was looking at her with sleepy eyes filled with reproach. "Just sleep sweetheart, Momma will take care of you."

Yes, So star loved children, she already had one wonderful daughter and she had enough place in her heart for more.

Tomura (Yes, She knew his Name was Tenko, God told her and it had been the detail that won the war. But she liked the name Tomura.) (She will call him Tommy, he felt like a Tommy... or maybe Tamohara? Hmm, decisions, decisions.) settled down again to her breast, snuggling up to her like the adorable leech he was.

"Alright. So as I was saying, compared to the likes of other Demons, this one was not as bad. I'm not saying his destruction was nothing to sneeze at, and definitely, all the lives lost and displaced but... he Ain't Hiranyakasipu, and definitely not Kamsa." Really, those two bad boys of universal proportion had summoned the Lord down with the chaos and sins they kept producing. "But yeah, after all that, I'm taking my Super Hero privilege and taking a twenty years long break... maybe more."

"Yes, Ma'am. And I will gladly follow you there too."

AFO made the trouble to the world... but only among the Asuric culture or the hero culture. Nothing more than that.

"Anyway. I heard that my Prabhu's son was attending UA, and I want to see what's going on in the camp and how the food relief team can help. Oh, and take darshan of my teacher, I haven't seen him in dog years."

"Roger that, sis. Keep us posted."

"Will do!"

~0~

The flight to the UA ground proved to be a relaxing one (once her bros got her and the kid from the plastic island). Tomura woke up again, this time, marvelling at the ground and asking Star if she was a Hero.

After she said yes, Tomura then proceeded to break her heart apart.

'Father and Sensei kept telling me no hero would save me... they lied! " He sobbed hard enough that Stars and Stripes had to land as she let the poor dear pour his heart out. "You saved me! Miss All-Might saved me!"

True, but the mercy of God and her miraculous 'quirk' (Also from God), she had managed to regress Tomura to his state of innocence... but from the look of it, it was clear that the loss of his sweet innocence and his acceptance of the path of evil took plenty of pain and manipulation to get there... and boy did the Asura started early in this one.

Especially when he said that no Hero would save a monster like him... and no one did for the longest time.

Yep, she was definitely gonna ask Muriel from the Justice Department to investigate what caused the league of villains too, well, turn to villainy... and hopefully, Mister Reseti, a mole-like guy from the Twilight department of Redemption could do something for this Dabi and the poor girl.

At worst, they could ask Luigi to take their final statement before sending them to a better life, God knew those needed better.

(so sue her for having a soft heart. It came with the Vaishnava course and Star would never wish for a harder heart.)

"Hey, sis. call us when you will be ready to leave. The flight from here to the jet carrier will be thirty minutes."

"Thanks, bro. I'll keep you posted." And with that, hopped down the shopper and gratefully stretched her leg, Little Tamohara clinging to her like a baby bear a tree.

Already, the survivors of the second-worst war in quirk history all rushed at her celebrating the true Hero of the hour, the one who shamed All-Might and who had truly been there in their hours of need.

Stars and Stripes kept her All-Might smile stuck to her face as she acted as one would expect a blond American woman to be. Meaning a brash airhead who smashed first and asked questions later.

Maybe she was like that at the beginning of her career, but Star had grown... she would do her research first and then strike... all the while acting like an idiot.

It gave her an edge, if Villains were not about to play by the rules, then neither would she.

Still, this, and her life as a Hare Krishna had given her a good nose for extremist behaviour and Fanaticism, the two leading causes for villainy

... that, and abuse.

Everyone here, in Japan, seemed to ignore the effect of hatred on children and rejection... and the length people would go to lash out.

She had seen it so often... hell, in the American guild run school, all students had to have a crash course in psychology, most even went to psychology post-grad! It was general knowledge among American Hero's and those who failed their check-up would lose their ranking and permit until they were back up to snuff.

And right now… Star's bullshit sensor was louder than Hippy Trippy's bright neon skin and purple hair.

'Those civilians... they are the one destroying society, Shigaraki only had to lightly poke 'em.' She hid her frown behind a wave as she kept Tenko closer to her.

If they were to learn that the little cuties used to be the groomed dog...

Oh, that would get way ugly, way quickly.

'I don't like this... I don't like this at all.' Dealing with a world-renowned villain of unspeakable strength and destructive power was a piece of cake compared to dealing with a kicked hornet's nest.

Yes... out of all danger a Hero could face, an angry mob of civilians was the worst.

"Shanti! Stop that van, it's stealing a child."

The words of God, clear in her purified heart spurred her into action, catching sight of the van... the HPSC van...

The moment the driver saw her run to it, the slow-moving van booked it!

It was all the proof Shanti needed to get the Aruras and free whoever was in there.

Since, you know. In God she Trusts.

She ran to it, the thing was going faster than it was safe, especially with all the civilians and school students running after it, tears in their eyes.

'And if this isn't a red flag.' She thought as she pushed the side of the van with enough strength (When she gave herself super strength, it was not only strength but whatever supper power she could think of including flight and plus ultra-speed.) to pierce the armoured side, ripping it open to a sight that only a Quirkist camp had the dubious right to have.

There was a kid with green, fluffy hair that reminded Star of her husband, his eyes dead despite the fear that shone through them, copious tears streaming down his face and nose. He had freckles on his morbidly pale cheeks, his mouth slighting parted in horror as the needle pierced his throat.

Star, using her super speed, jumped in the gaping hole, broke the commission agent's arm and shove the syringe in his throat, wrote a letter about how they were now under the global Hero Commission's purview and the guilds order and had to give up all rights of control, grabbed the kid (he was what? Ten? Eleven? no... he was just terribly small for his age and clearly malnourished.), broke his binding and took them too since eighty did give her some trouble. It would be a nice gift for Point Dexter and his team of techno-gremlins.

Hoisting the all too light kid in her powerful arms, she bounded away to the only safe place she knew within five-kilometre...

The UA's teacher's lounge!

~0~

"Alright... that should be it," Star mumbled as she managed to open the door with one foot while keeping the teen and baby Tenko securely in her arms. Sure, she could've kicked the thing down, but as she had learned, sometimes, the best protection is a door.

So the door stayed.

The teacher's lounge was completely empty, they were probably on high alert and still out. Meaning that, if this was anything like the universities and campuses around North America, then they would also have some private rooms and enough medical supplies to fix whatever was broken.

Star quickly set the greenette and Tenko down on the couch, the sky-haired cutie was looking around in confusion while the teen... remained unresponsive.

He could pass for a doll if not for the tremors that coursed through his frame.

'He's in shock.' The tall woman realized. 'I can fix that, but first, I need to make this place secure.' She released her first order and charge so that no hostiles could come in... and she set hostile as being, whoever wants to cause them to harm in any way.

Once this was done, she kneeled in front of the greenette. "Hey, Bushy-boy... you still there?" She asked as she pressed her hands onto the boy's shoulder.

He raised his head and...

"yeah! Everything is fine!" He beamed... but Star knew this type of smile. " I'm... I'm fine... completely fine... it's not like... n-not like..." His whole body began to tremble as everything crashed down around him.

The tall woman felt someone tug on her wrist.

"Umm... Miss Might?" Little Tomura asked.

"Yes, sweety?"

"Is nii-san alright?" The dear asked as he worriedly looked at the crying and shaking teen, now covered with a fluffy afghan.

Star desired to do more, but she had no idea how he would react...

'Oh, to hell with it.' Throwing caution to the wind, the reckless woman wrapped her arm around the crying teen, the one who reminded him so much about her husband. Maybe it was her latent mommy instinct that was kicking in?

It made the teen sob harder. At first, Star thought she had screwed up, but this was quickly dispelled when little green wrapped his arms around her.

The kid kept crying and crying, and for a moment Star wondered what those bastards at the Japanese commission branch were planning on doing with such a quirk.

Nothing good, obliviously.

Tomura soon joined the Hug, it was clear he had no idea what was going on, but he didn't want to be useless.

Eventually, the greenette calmed down, and Star wondered why no one entered the room... there was no way this kid had no one he felt safe with! That was preposterous!

Unless...

Unless he had lost all trust in his peers and teachers.

Meaning, This boy either had an Unfortunate quirk... or had none at all, meaning that he was one of the few quirkless kids in his generation. in Japan, that is. And since this was Japan, and Japan was big on having a strong quirk... and that she knew of only one person with green hair and freckles who was, despite all that, Normal...

"Shanti... Before we can go forward. I have to tell you something," Her future husband took a deep breath. "I have a son."

"Oh? You do? It was with your previous wife, right?"

"Yes... He's... He's the most precious thing I have. Oh, Shanti, the day he was born, his first word, his first step... his first notebook filled with babbles about the All Might state and how he was the best hero, and how he could improve... My boy, He's so smart So, so smart... So kind."

"Wait... I'll get you some tissues... there you go. Wow, he sounds like smarty pants. I can't wait to meet this cutie... aww, he has freckles, just like you! How old is he?"

"He's eleven and a half but..."

"But?"

"He's quirkless... in Japan."

"Oh, Krishna-Bhagavan have mercyWhat's his name, maybe me and my team will be able to get his custody back, we take The normies health a priority..."

"His name is Izuku. His mother won and..."

"Well, then if she loves her son, then I'm sure she would love to have the opportunity to move to the states... like, Canada's pretty nice too."

"She won't... She wanted to stay in Japan. She shares the belief that the rest of the world is a bunch of Quirkist fools and that Japan's way of treating the quirk is the best."

"Oh dog shit on a stick!"

"Not only that but... She thinks being a Hare Krishna is... she thinks I'm practising this weird and dangerous cult that forceswomen to marry old Indianmen and giving up on having fun worshipping an anime idol."

"... you're kidding, right?"

"Maybe, for all I know, she finally grew tired of seeing my ugly mug...but you will marry an older man. A man with a son from another woman."

"Good! A pair of men with experience, I can't wait to meet him!"

This conversation that had happened a few years ago before she and Hisashi tied the literal knot in front of the sacrificial fire replayed. And when she came back to the present, the kid was looking at her worriedly.

"Say... who are you?" She asked the greenette.

"I'm Midoriya Izuku." He croaked with almost no inflection. "You... you must be the number one Hero from America, All Might's first student." Some unidentifiable emotions simmered under the tired voice of her step-son... and his smile...

Oh, Star knew a broken smile when she saw one. And this one was old, broken and grounded to particles of broken dreams.

"Yeah, I'm that!" Star smiled kindly. "And from what I've heard from you, you're also a student of his. He only has good things to say about you."

Izuku's smile faltered, he was clearly not believing what the other Hero was telling him.

He lowered his gaze, but not before giving a single glance and baby Tomura. "You... saved him."

"Know the guy?"

"You know me?" Tomura shyly asked Izuku.

"Yeah but..."

"But..."

"I was asked to save you... I failed."

'Hmm, I don't like the tone of Izuku's voice... don't like it at all.'

"Oh but... Miss Might saved me! I'm okay now." The new cinnamon roll chirped. "She's my favourite hero! And-and she saved you too!" Tomura happily bounced and wiggled as he boldly declared this statement.

After years heroing, Star was used to this reaction, but with Tomura... it felt extra special.

Izuku's face fell. "Why... Why did you save me?" the youth spoke in a whisper. "I... I'm a Failure, a criminal, ... I belong to Tartarus."

"Tartarus?" Star never heard of such a place. "Listen, if this is a prison."

"It is..."

"Alright, if you think you belong there, tell me your crimes." The First and Foremost American hero asked as she gently held Izuku's heavily scarred hands and crooked fingers. 'Oh Sweet baby Krishna, what the hell happened to you, baby.' " And you can't hope to save 'em all, Honey," she added in a gentle tone she would use when one of her interns failed to save someone. "But you did your best, and it's all that matters." 'Just do your best, and let Krishna do the rest.'

Izuku raised his green eyes and stared at Shanti, he looked like a wrongfully condemned man being told that he was pardoned. He closed his eyes and mouth as he gathered himself.

Then, because she had the feeling she would need to have some evidence available, she activated her in-suit recorder.

"I'm a vigilante... I killed..."

"You killed who, Izuku? Civilians? Villains?"

"Villains." Izuku furrowed his brow. " No one... no one was doing anything... I didn't... I was going after Shigaraki, I needed to save Tenko but..." The kid clenched his hands and teeth. " Heroes were quitting left and right... public opinion. The public started to hate on the heroes, and so many heroes' from the top hundred just gave up because it was too hard for them, they didn't get the praise and adoration they wanted...I tried not to kill them, I really did. But when the Villains you catch a break out of the cardboard prison for the fifth time..."

"You gotta do what a sane man gotta do." Star finished for him."

Izuku gave a one-shoulder shrug. "Tartarus isn't secure anymore... I knew I would be going there soon... Vigilantes' are just criminals... especially those who kill."

Shanti frowned. In America and other places in the world, Hero's could kill villains... not left and right, but when the villain was putting people in peril and nothing would make them back down and surrender, then death was the only option.

It was the kindest one too. Who in their right mind would let pour souls stew in a sensory deprivation torture device?

More Criminals and sadistic bastards, that's who.

"But Vigilantes don't get a needle to their neck filled with poison." Star deadpanned.

A wry smile drew itself on Izuku's gaunt face. "Not if the Vigilante managed to hack the commission's super-secure servers. And copy the whole thing."

A shiver went up to her spine... The warrior guild had spent decades trying to get anything out of the overly secretive Japanese organization. They could smell the blood, but could not get in the water.

Until now.

"Izuku, I'm not with the Hero Commission, I'm with another group entirely." Hell, she was practically running it when her dad let her. "Trust me, kid, you're safe with me."

"Am I?" Izuku asked with a distrust born of having the HPSC at his heels... and doing the work of the Japanese heroes... adults.

So-called adults.

"I swear it... I swear it on my Bible." Well, Second edition Bhagavad-Gita as it is. But she was sure her stepson wouldn't know what it was. "And on my own life."

"Me Too!" Tamo... Tomura piped up as he crossed his heart.

"Show me your license."

And Star did, she showed her personal licence... and her position in the guild.

Izuku's green, green eyes widened. "You..."

"What? Did you truly believe that the US would be stuck under the thumb of some Japanese clowns?" She scoffed. "Please, The guild of saintly Kshatriya would never bow down to those demons..."

"This would explain why they were dabbling in eugenics." Izuku began as he held his chin. "I always thought that the HPSC approved school exam for UA and the encouragement to have a strong quirk, while slowly 'phasing' out weak to non-existent quirk was sus..." He gave a wry smile. " Of course it was... they are probably manufacturing plenty of child soldiers to take over the guild, all of them with big, flashy quirk to take over all of you. I haven't got the chance to read what I got from their server in dept but, from what little info I got, yeah, they wanted to take over the US and keep the Hero V.S villain game for fun and profit basically..." He trailed off, raising his eyes to Cassie... it was the eyes of someone who had seen too much, knew too much and couldn't find a way out.

It was the eyes of a walking dead man.

Star placed her hand on the lithe boy all too bony shoulder, already planning to extract the poor Hero out of this hell hole and up to her favourite military hospital near Gita-Nagari. But first... she had to ask him more questions.

'Like what Happened since your mom divorced your dad? How long have you been suffering Deku?"

And suddenly, She felt 'New Order.' activated by her mere mental statement.

Izuku's eyes widened, then dulled. But before he could begin his tale of woes, Shanti thought that it would be wiser of her to edit God's order.

" I... Deku, Tell me, in the most neutral way possible, what has happened to you since your dad left for America, and how long have you been suffering."

In hindsight... this had been the best thing to ask her new son.

~0~

Four hours later, twenty water bottles, two trips to the bathroom (for Tamohar... Baby Tenko.) and enough tears and snot to completely saturate the couch, one unfortunate throw pillow, a blanket and half of her cape... and Shanti had enough dirt to burn down whatever was left of Aldera, it's surviving teachers and whatever Alumni that had dared to hurt her Son, some of the UA staff, All for One (who had been confirmed dead by an act of God.

She had lost a hefty chunk of respect for her inspiration and sometimes coach (Seriously, what had he been thinking? Had he forgotten all the quirkless Hero's owning it back in the states and Russia? And how about leaving a kid who had all the reasons in the world to commit suicide up on a roof with his hope shattered?) and also in UA...

Seriously, for an internationally renowned school that prided itself for its diversity... it was not as diverse as it should be.

Actually, right now, as Shanti stalked out toward her rendezvous point for the Chopper to pick her and her kids up, the Heroine just wanted to leave Japan behind and never come back until the HPSC was but a bad memory and the Normi population not persecuted to death.

This... It was the beginning of the end for this barbarian way of living.

"And it's all thanks to the two of you." The bleach-blond gently whispered on the top of Izuku and Tomura's head, holding her two precious bundles securely in her powerful arms.

Izuku... He was such a brave young man, a fighter, a Kshatriya.

He got this from his father.

His foolishly brave and self-realized father, Hamsaduta Midoriya.

And Tomura, no... Tamohara, he who steals the darkness of Innocence, now freed from his demoniac conditioning, was already taking over the role of Little-Big brother to Izuku, despite appearing younger than the teen.

It was so sweet... but now Star had to get them out of this falling country and into her safe haven of New-Vrindaban. Where they could both heal and learn to be kids again, and not just some fancy soldiers called pro-heroes.

She couldn't wait to see Izuku interacting with one of their cows, and Tamohara rolling in the grass and playing in the sunshine, free from fear and pain.

'And playing in the autumn leaves, and gorging themselves in Maha-sweet post-Goverdhana-puja... oh, I can't wait. My dear Lord, I know I asked a whole lot today, more than I ever did in my life, but let them have this, please Krishna, please Guru-dev, petition your Krishna for those two.' Shanti thought as her looping strides took her down the hall and out of the school. Her Bros had informed her that they were ready for her. They would leave the moment she tied her charges' seat belts.

Shanti had been so absorbed in her prayer that she almost ran into Yagi Toshinori... Almost.

"Oh, S-sensei." Yes, the second... no wait, the third Hero of the world stuttered.

If she would not have met Izuku when she did (and wasn't that a horrible, gut-twisting feeling, right there.) Shanti would be ecstatic to see her saviour... well, bodily saviour anyhow.

But now... After what Izuku told her?

"Cathleen, what are you... you killed a Commission agent." All-might (yes, she was aware of her Sensei's deflated appearance, all thanks to Izuku.) spoke to her with Horror and disappointment.

"It was either him or Midoriya." She replied, calculating if walking away from the man would trigger him to attack or not... but then, she was in the open at the moment, at the back of the school, snipers could be. Walking it was then.

"Wait... you mean, no, Star, The HPSC would never hurt a child... let alone a-"

"They considered him a vigilante, and Izuku managed to find enough dirt on them to build a mountain." The American Hero informed the retired number one. "They had a needle to his neck... normal Japanese procedure to apprehend a Vigilante is not to sedate him, that's for S to SS rated Villains only. Not only that, but Izuku's a minor, his Legal guardian should've been around during his arrest... and led to the police receiving a hefty fine and being shipped to vigilante rehab or the under-grounders."She hissed. "Also, I simply injected him with the stuff that would have been used on Midoriya. The guy who was about to inject it was bigger and older than Midoriya... I don't need to "

She let the sentence hang in the air, heavy and chilling.

"The International Society for Divine Heroics will actively pursue them... and there's nothing they can do about it." And how...

Hamsaduta will have a field day with them, that's for sure.

"... and where are you carrying them? And who's the other boy? What happened to Shigaraki?"

"It's confidential." Star broke no argument, she had to get those two back to the US and outdo the Commission's waning jurisdiction. "Just know that, right now, Tamohara and Midoriya are under witness protection. And as long as they are in my arms, nothing will happen to us."

"But! You can't! How about Midoriya's mother!?"

Shanti stopped in her tracks and whirled to face her old teacher, a man she still respected, but not as before. "I want you to bring her to the chopper as soon as you-"

"Not me mum..." Izuku mumbled. "Gave me up..."

"Alright, forget it then." And with that, Shanti and her kids resumed her ground eating strides, she could already hear the-

Bang Bang Bang.

High calibre bullets, the likes that could blow up a tank's fuel tank harmlessly ricocheted off of Shanti, Izuku and Tamohara, making the two cling to the American Hero harder than they had any rights to, rendered mute by the impact.

Star... groaned as she hurried to the meeting point. Already, she could hear the sound of choppers meeting her ears... and the sound of the Rainbow Crows Squadron of Aviary Quirked Gentry flying in the air to locate the soon-to-be-dead snipers.

'Dang Krishna, you went all out this time.

~0~

Izuku woke up groggily, something he'd never thought he would ever do again, not with the war going on.

The first thing he noticed was the fact that he was on a moving, yet soft surface with a scratchy blanket. His wrist and legs were bound and he could feel the medical tapes holding what could only be an IV needle in his arm.

'Wait... aw crap. So the commission did bring me on their hidden boat... just my luck.' Izuku thought as he did his best not to panic, no use to either. 'Let see... I still have access to One For All.' He thought as he attempted to power it up... only to have it petered out like a wet firecracker.

Or Bakugou in the rain.

This time, his heart did begin to hammer in his chest, his breathing stopping as panic settled in.

That was it... that was it... there was nothing more he could do. Izuku was doomed, he would be tortured and brainwashed by the commission to do their dirty bidding, blinding the citizen to how Japan was slowly turning into a militarized pop-idol competition. The goal is to breed demigods loyal to Queen Enma.

And Izuku would be at its helm, turned into an actual Puppet.

He didn't want to be a puppet.

He didn't want to be a puppet anymore.

OfA couldn't fall into the commission's hands.

He couldn't-

"Izuku! You're awake!" he heard a woman, Star drawl. "Oh thank Krishna, we'd thought you'd check out for good." She sighed as she came into view.

Gone were her eight tufts of hair and her skin-tight suit. She wore a long blue cotton skirt that reached the floor and a teal shirt that went down to her knees. She wore a pair of glasses and looked absolutely worried for him.

'But... Why, though? I'm... I'm a Criminal, right?'

Star's face fell, and it was only because of his binds that Izuku did not smack his hand on his traitorous mouth.

"Izuku... you're not a criminal, you are a Hero." The heroic woman gently told him with as much empathy she could convey while talking in a foreign language.

"I'm not a Hero." He immediately denied it. " Hero's don't kill..." he said in a haunted tone.

"Sad to say, sweet pea, but in America, Hero's can kill if they have no other choice." She explained. "And you are now under the protection of the International Society for Divine Warriors, we owe you much, for service rendered." she bowed deeply. "and thus, it's is our duty to protect you while you recover."

Izuku could feel tears gathering in his eyes. "Then why... Why am I tied up?" He choked up as he weakly pulled on his restraint.

Star's eyes softened, pulling back her sleeves and showing a pair of quirk cancelling bracelets. "Oh, Honey. That's the usual procedure when a supervillain or even an evil organization is taken down. All Heroes in America and the European go through the same quarantine period." She explained. "Since we don't know what subtle Quirk has hit us in the fire of action, and how we will react after the battle and the trauma, our team will bring us to a safe place... a place where we can cool off and in wish, people know how to deescalate a PTSD attack. And will bloke our quirk so we can't hurt anyone."

"But... Why am I tied?"

" you were thrashing in bed." Star's smile dimmed. "Izuku... you... you had violent nightmares and... You're where sleepwalking with a supervillain."

Izuku closed his eyes. "I'm broken... even more, useless than Usual."

"You are tired... and we can fix you. You will get better, Izuku, I swear it in the names of God."

"Why do you care?!" For a Quirkless, useless Deku. Not even Able to save Shigaraki, not even able to uphold a legacy...

"I care because you are none of those things dear." The blonde assured him as she gently touched his hands, and Izuku shamefully wanted him to touch more...

He missed human warmth.

"And... That's what a Hero does."

Izuku closed his eyes as tears flooded them. "But... But I'm... I'm not-"

Suddenly the door opened and...

"See Hamsi-san! I told you I heard Deku!" Mini-Tomura happily chirped as he pulled...

He pulled in...

A man...

He was not terribly tall, and his whole body was covered in blackish scales reminiscent of freckled save for those on his hands. He had ruddy black hair in fluffy soft curls, a broad mouth Izuku knew smelled like brimstone and his eyes...Oh God, his eyes...

They were slit like that of a snake, yet he could blink.

They were bright green... and filled with tears.

It was his dad... Midoriya Hisashi.

He wore a simple shirt and pants... and he held onto Tomura's hand... or Tomura was dragging the draconian quirked man in with all of his little strength, whining and huffing from the effort.

"HAMSAA~" the child, who could be none other then Tomura, squealed in delight as he let go of Hamsa's (His dad was not Hisashi, apparently) hand and tried to climb on the bed, hoisting himself up with great effort. "See? See? I told you he was awake!"

Once He was there, Tomura all but pounced on Izuku's chest, hugging him as hard as he could. "Hero-San! Midoriya~"

This caused a flood of warmth to flood Izuku's heart... and indeed more tears.

He closed his eyes... not wanting to cry again.

Then, he felt the scaly hand of... of Hisashi on his own.

He opened his eyes... It really was his dad...

"Zuzu... Izuku..." His father began and... Izuku spoke...

he asked a question. So many of them, actually... but one of them was leading the pack.

"Dad... why did you leave?" He spoke barely above a whisper, he could feel the tears at the back of his eyes but... it was not the time to let them fall yet. "Did I... I'm sorry I... I'm not quirkless anymore dad..."

And they were falling, feeling the ghost pain coursing through his broken limbs.

"I hey, hey. Zuzu... calm down my son. I'm here now." His father whispered gently as he massaged his messed-up hand. "I left... I did leave because of that BUT-"Hisashi interrupted Izuku before he could spiral down further. "But I did it to find you a place where... where your quirk status wouldn't matter, son. I wanted a place where you could have friends, where quirks were not everything, and where... and where you could go to school and make friends without being bullied for being Normal."

"B... but I'm not Normal." Izuku denied it as he felt years of trauma resurfacing despite himself. "I'm quirkless."

"In the US, it's called being Normal or being a normy. And they don't even tally it in the worldwide quirk census since it would... it would destroy everything the commission is trying to achieve, eugenics, powerful quirks, taking over the world and turning all those powerful quirk users into machines of war and fear." Hisashi sobbed. "And you... my baby. You managed to destroy them with wit."

Izuku felt his tears fall again. He was about to deny it, he'd done nothing to deserve praise but...

He was forced to take it... there was no other way. It was his dad, after all.

But... there was yet another question he had to ask."Why... why did mom... she told me you left us because I was-" he choked on the words. "Is this because... you're not Hisashi anymore? You got... you got a new name."

"That's right... I'm Hamsaduta das. A Hare Krishna." He revealed to his now silent son.

"Izu when I left on my quest to find a place for you and Inko... I found the perfect place, this wonderful homestead in the mountains, in North Carolina, just a few hours away from New York. Oh, it's a beautiful home and our backyard is a forest filled with deers and peacocks. It's so beautiful, and the Local kids and teens make this crazy awesome snow slide in the mountain during the winter a-and..." He sobbed.

Absent-mindedly, Izuku realized that Tenko had removed his bindings and was currently snuggling to his chest like a Koala.

Izuku gladly began to run his painful fingers in the child's soft mop of hair. Noting how clean he smelled, for once.

"Your mother... Inko she... She didn't want to move..." The pain in his father's voice was felt by all. "It was the perfect place, everything was there. There were plenty of schools, and in all of them, the normy to mutant ratio is fifty-fifty. And yes, in the US, it's possible since the new government made sure no Neo-Nazi could turn the entire continent into a eugenic camp."

"The US History with Quirks ain't a fairy tale but... Once the beaver's up north decided that the US's nonsense had to stop... they made a partnership with the Peruvian Jaguars and the Guatemalteca Vipers, they managed to take over the place and make the whole continent as a single united nation with a variety of cultures." Star interjected. "It was hard, and my great-grandad lost an arm in this particular war. But what we have now is a united Nation based on ancient spiritual knowledge, and because of that, we have the second-lowest rate of discrimination in the world. Right after Mayapur."

"Mayapur?"

"Sacred place in India." The Heroin coughed in her fist. "But... what I'm trying to say is... the US is the best place for those facing any type of unneeded discrimination. We don't really use the word villain anymore unless they act like mister Shigaraki." She shook her head. " Poor man, I still have no idea what he was trying to accomplish but... he probably wanted to be God." She huffed. "Idiot."

To hear the number one American Hero speak this way about All for One made some laughter bubble in Izuku's chest. "Y-Yeah but..." He returned to his dad. "Dad... why did mom not want us to move to America?"

his dad (His Dad!) looked uncomfortably down before he took a steadying breath. "That's because... I joined a cult. You know... The Hare Krishna cult."

Izuku's face must have shown how he felt inside since his dad was once again scrambling for words.

"It's not a Bad cult... I swear it's nothing like that." His father assured him. " When we use the word cult, it is to indicate the culture of bhakti, or love of God... Krishna's God a-and to serve him is... It's normal, it's natural. And I promise Zuku, I won't force you. We're not a bunch of fanatics waving angry boards at people, forcing them to repent. We've never held the world at gun points, we've never started wars."

"No, but we finished them." Star grinned unrepentantly.

Izuku turned to stare at the Heroic woman. "Wait... so you..."

"Was born and raised in New-Vrindaban, did my schooling in Texas and am about to retire back in my hometown." She beamed. "I mean I now have two kids to take care of on top of my eldest. And what better place for two heroes then in the mountain, surrounded by nature, cows, peacocks and kids your age?"

"Hamsi told me they had cows, and that there's snow and we can see God and... And I want to have a dog! Can I have a dog?" Tomura asked after raising his head from Izuku's chest. "I… I want a dog."

Hisashi gave a toothy grin. "But I already have a Dog, champ."

"But I want a Fairy Dog," Tomura whined as he pouted.

Star, despite the power she wields, looks at a loss. Mounting 'Krishna, what the hell is a Fairy Dog?' Silently.

Izuku's dad looked about as informed as she was as he tried to pacify the huffing holder of the decay quirk from doing something everyone would regret.

"A corgi... you want a corgi... dogs are fairy stead and have fluffy buts. They used to be Queen Elizabeth's favourite breed." Izuku mumbled as he prayed he was not wrong.

His dad quickly whipped out his phone and googled the term before showing the hissy boy the picture.

The effect was instant, Tomura squealed something about this being it as his eyes filled with tears... and returned to burrow in Izuku's chest as he began to sob.

Izuku began to rub Baby-mura with his free hand, he was just a quarter free... and it still bugged him that this was how he was treated.

"Hey, Zuzu... That's just normal procedure for those who faced a super-villain." His dad explained as he gently grabbed his son's scarred and crooked hand. "We don't know what Quirk you were hit with. We do the same procedure for Vigilantes."

"Because I could have a trigger implanted in my mind. Something that would activate when I was with my allies, potentially killing them all." Izuku murmured with some fear. "... Am I... Sleeper agent?" He asked, his voice devoid of any emotions.

Star took a good look at him and took out her phone to text someone. She gave a small hum. "Well... your brain's showing signs of heavy stress. But since One For All is essentially a ghost trap, and you're haunted by them... there's a chance that's just it... otherwise. My Guys monitoring you told me they can't find anything save for your hitchhikers and... Hmm, untreated depression and Oh, you have Asperger"

And suddenly, ice-filled Izuku's veins as his stomach plummet.

"I'm... I'm Broken..." He whispered as tears filled his eyes. "I... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry."

"Midoriya...Izuku." Tomura spoke gently as he squeezed Izuku. "It's alright, I'm broken too." He admitted. "But... Hamsa told me we can get better. Let's get better together, OK?" He asked, his hopeful red eyes shining with his plea.

He felt his dad's scaly hand wrap his scared one and squeezed gently. "And there's nothing wrong with being an Asperger." His dad spoke with a toothy grin. " Sure, our brain works differently, we like to specialize in one subject we are passionate about and tend to forget that not many people can keep up with us when we go into those subjects. We suck at socializing and other finer points in human interactions. In other words, we are... another type of Quirky." His dad grinned.

"And It's alright Izuku. You don't have to feel shame for being different, being weird, out of norm and offbeat from the rest of the world, within reason. It is fine, You are fine, I love you as you are, flaws and all."

Those words...

Those simple words...

Meant the world to Izuku.

Those milling outside the specialized room meant to keep the returning heroes from the battlefield as safe as the world around them would later talk about the crying child and how years of pain and sorrow were washed away from his wounded heart. And those on surveillance save a few screen grabs of a new reconstituted Family, and the boy who finally received the Validation he oh so needed.

Then, after Izuku's cries had abated and all that was left were tear tracts and red eyes filled with renewed serenity and hope... He asked the one question that had bugged him ever since he had met Star and Stripes.

"Say... are you my stepmom?"

Needless to say, he'd grilled his dad about his new and young wife until they reached the American coast.

And in the end... he Got another Mama.
