I don't own Home Alone
Enjoy!
After having a small dinner at Sonny's, both Harry and Marv had headed to Duncan's and remained hidden inside two large sized dollhouses until closing hours. It was a cramped space for two grown men to hide, but during that time, they remained as quiet as mice. Confirming that the store had closed and that no one else was inside, Harry Lime peeked out from the dollhouse window and called over to Marv for them to come out and perform their robbery. Before coming back to the toy store, Harry had a slight trepidation that they were going to run into that bundle of misery again. However, now that they had his sister and the fact that they had lost him, Harry felt that there was nothing to worry about. They were going to get all of the cash from this toy store and they were going to get out of New York.
The two bandits made their way down the stairs and over to the cash register and the large cash box where the money for the children's hospital was. Both men came prepared with their crowbars as they clinked them together in celebration that they were going to perform this heist. Harry was the first to open the cash register with his crowbar and when he noticed all the money and inside he smirked before saying, "Merry Christmas Harry."
Marv opened the cash box with his crowbar and was astounded at the amount of money that was in there. "Happy Hanukkah Marv." He took a stash of the cash into his hands and began to place them inside the bag, with half of the money falling onto the floor. "There's more money in here than I can count!" he commented as he hungrily put more of the cash inside the bag. With all of this money, there were so many things that he and Harry could do with it. It was all about trying to live the simple life without having a day's work. Then again, robbing houses was their dishonest way of work. "The amazing thing is, we're fugitives from the law we're up to our elbows in cash and nobody even knows about it!"
Suddenly there was a knock on the window and both Harry and Marv looked up to see Kevin and Becky waving at them. "What the-?!" Harry squinted at the window. "They're back!" Then there was a flash of light that took over the room only for him to realize that it was a flash from the camera, "he took our picture!"
After taking the bandit's picture, Kevin pulled away from the window and stood next to his sister. He took out a large rock with a piece of paper that he had taped around it. Becky looked at the object in Kevin's hand and her eyes widened. This was committing a criminal mischief but comparing to what these two were doing, it was for a good cause. Becky only hoped that Mr. Duncan saw it this way.
Kevin turned his eyes over to Becky. "This is it. No turning back. Another Christmas in the trenches." Had it been worse than the previous year? Well, being lost in New York with the police after you and then these two wanting their revenge, last Christmas was a joy compared to this one.
"Do it Kevin," Becky said, "after what they have done to us, they deserve it."
Without hesitation, Kevin arched his arm back and catapulted the rock towards the window. It was like watching the rock fly through the sky in slow motion and the moment that it made contact with the window, the sound of the glass shattering was ear piercing. Following along with the crash, the store's alarm began to wail that the store's property had been destroyed. Both siblings were in awe as they took off from the store before the bandits got to them.
"That's it!" Harry yelled through the alarm's noise as he gathered as much money as he could and stuffed them inside the black bag. "I'll kill them!" he jumped over the counter and across the store. Then he jumped out the window and found his feet landing onto a piece of wooden board that Kevin had set up across a tin bucket. Coming to a quick conclusion, Harry realized what was going to happen.
"I'M COMING HARRY!" Marv yelled as he jumped out the window and landed onto the other side of the board.
It was too late for Harry to even react. Before he knew it, he was catapulted into the air before he crashed on top of a car. After seeing Harry fly in the air like that, Marv wondered wether his partner had survived that whole ordeal. When he ran over to the car, he saw Harry trying to get up. "Harry that was incredible!"
Becky and Kevin had watched the whole situation happening and Becky tried her hardest to keep herself from laughing. Was it terrible of her to wish that Harry landing on the car should have been his end? She hated having such ill thoughts, but this was a person whom she would never forgive. "Hey guys!" Kevin suddenly yelled over to them, "smile!" There was another flash of light towards the bandits and the siblings took off into the street with the two bandits after them.
From across the street, Robert was leaning against the wall as he watched the whole situation unfolding in front of his eyes from the beginning until this point. Well, his brother was not going to be too happy about that broken window. These two kids were quite mischievous but the fact that they happened to know Harry made him rather curious to know how they had become 'acquainted.' However, the slight pleasure that he felt when he saw Harry falling on that car made the man smirk, though he hoped that the bandit wasn't too injured. There was still some unfinished business that he had to take care of with him. Now that he had Harry in his sights once again, he didn't want to lose him. Flicking the cigarette to the side, Robert pulled his coat tightly against him and followed after the bandits.
The store's alarm continued to wail as a car pulled up by the store. From the car, Lucas Clark and his father got out only to see the shattered remains of the window that once belonged to the toy store. A low whistle escaped Mr. Clark's lips as he looked at what had happened. "What in the world? Are you sure she gave you the right directions?"
The destroyed toy store may have been one thing, but his best friend that was nowhere to be seen was a great concern for Lucas. "Dad, she said she'd be here." His eyes looked over at the toy store once more. "Unless whatever happened here, she was..." he trailed off, not wanting to think that Becky was in the wrong place at the wrong time. "She couldn't have gone too far. Let's go look for her."
Mr. Clark looked at the toy store one last time. Getting out of this place was a better idea otherwise the authorities would think that they were involved in this as well.
