Chapter 2. Starting day.

Loona was sitting at the front desk, looking through her phone. She was trying to find any info she could on why The Cleansing day came early, but so far she found nothing. She was startled when a red rift opened up in the middle of the office. "What the fuck!?"

Poch whistled as he stepped through the portal and into the office. "Hey Loona!" He waved, the portal closing behind him.

"Uh...hey...what was that?" Loona pointed to where the gate was.

"Oh that? It was a gate. A power my blade uses."

"Thought your power was that shadow demon thing?"

"That's my power, not my swords. Speaking of which, mind not telling Jack how I got here? I bet him to a race here."

"I guess."

"Thanks!" He said. He stood there smiling at her for a few seconds, letting an awkward silence drag in, hoping on his heels, looking around. "...I...don't know what to do now. Blitzø just said to come here and didn't tell me what to do next."

"Sounds like him."

"Any ideas?"

"Nope." She said leaning back, looking back at her phone.

"Oh...mind if I sit next to you? It'd feel a lot less awkward than sitting alone at the couch."

Loona looked up at him for a second before shrugging. "Sure."

"Thanks." Poch grabbed a chair and wheeled it beside Loona, sitting in it. He took out his phone and began a video, setting it on the desk before playing it.

On the screen showed a Italian man in a bowl cut, wearing a white suit, standing in front of a long necked guy with green palm tree hair, holding a fishing rod. "Bokarasu!" The green haired man yelled, reeling back his rod before throwing it at the man with a bowl cut. The bowl cut man dashed towards the guy and tried to guard the fish hook.

Loona glanced over and looked with a raised eyebrow. "What is that?"

"It's a show called JoJos bizarre adventure. This is part five of the series." Poch said as the show continued.

"Huh, wait what's that thing coming out to the bowl cut guy?"

"A stand."

"A stand?"

"Ok," he paused, "so if I explain this, I'm gonna get a little nerdy and probably pique your interest to the point that you'd wanna watch it. Do you wanna continue?" Poch asked with a smirk

"Uh, yea I'll pass."

"Ok." He went back to the episode.

Loona looked back, saw the green thing pull the other guy to him with its hand that reeled back to its arm, punch the shit out of him, and split him into pieces. Loona admitted she was curious. "Alright. Explain, but don't expect me to get any interest."

Poch paused and looked at her, "I'll be quick." He said as he began his explanation.

Fifteen minutes later.

"So this Giorno guy is part vampire?" Loona asked.

"Sadly, no. He's just the son of one." Poch answered

"I guess that makes sense since Dio took...Joseph?"

"Jonathan."

"Jonathan's body."

"He did make the body his though."

"True. I was wondering-"

Loona was cut off by Jack entering with Blitzø. "She did that? What a bitch!" Jack said.

"I know right!?" Blitzø agreed. He saw Poch with Loona. "Poch, glad to see you here!"

"Damnit! Lost the race!" Jack mentioned.

"You owe me fifty halos." Poch told him.

"I was counting on you not remembering the way!"

"You doubted my knowledge, fool."

"Loony! Is M&M here?" Blitzø asked

"In the meeting room." Loona answered.

"Thank you Loony!" He said, hugging her, receiving a growl from her.

"To the meeting room!" Blitzø yelled, darting to the meeting room.

"Guess we follow." Jack said, following him.

Poch and Loona got up and went to the direction of the living room. "Hey." Loona called to Poch.

"Yea?" Poch responded.

"I'll admit you piqued my interest in JoJo, but you better not tell them that." She said with a glare.

Poch chuckled. "Sure thing."

They walked into the living room and took a seat. Poch sat next to Loona and Jack sat across from Poch, next to Moxxie.

"Alright! Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to our newest employee's, Poch and Jack!"

"Hi." Jack said with a wave.

"Hello." Poch said with a smile.

"They're also the ones that kicked angel ass and saved Moxxie here! Well Poch did!"

"Thanks again for that, Poch." Moxxie said to the brown Hellhound.

"No problem." Poch replied.

"So to get to know them better, they're gonna answer our burning questions!" Blitzø stated.

"Huh?" Jack said, both Poch and him having a surprised expression.

"I'll start! How do you fight angels?"

"Uh, well it's because we've been given the power of shadow demons, which invigorate our bodies with the demonic arts, allowing us to overpower and oppose our heavenly counterparts." Jack explained.

"You said that big bull thing was a shadow demon, right?" Moxxie mentioned.

"Yea. It's one of my four shadow demons." Poch told. "Shadow demons are our inner darkness manifested. Basically it's like a demon's inner demons."

"And you can bring those out to fight?" Millie asked.

"Yep! We just gotta draw their name with shadow letters, then our shadows manifest into their forms." Jack explained.

"Wow, neat!"

"Yea, they're like stands, but less bizarre." Poch said.

"Pfft!" Loona held back a laugh.

"Stands?" Blitzø asked.

"Nothing." Poch said with a smile, while Jack rolled his eyes.

"Ok, can we see those demons?"

"Uh, sure. Not in here though. Can we go to the roof?"

"Sure!"

Poch and Jack stood in front of the others, standing in the middle of the roof of the building.

"I'll go first." Jack said, Poch giving him some space. "I have two shadow demons. The first is," he wrote Xțøæß in front of him, "Taurus!" From his shadow came a buff fully black bull with chains around its arms, two straight sharp horns, and a vest. Its lower half was only a tendril that connected to Jack. It was slightly thinner than Poch's Taurus.

"That kinda looks like-" Moxxie started.

"The one I used?" Poch finished. "Yea. Taurus is a pretty common Shadow Demon. We exterminators have one unique shadow demon and one or more non-unique regular ones. Jack only has two."

"Yea," Jack returned his Taurus, "My unique one is," he wrote Xœxä in the air, "Dust!" His shadow evaporated and turned into a thick black mist. The mist covered his whole body, obscuring the view of him, before he raised his hand up, gathering the mist above and having it form a ball. He saw them look with awe. "Cool, huh? I can turn this mist into anything!"

"Anything!?" Millie said with excited curiosity.

"Anything!" He swung his hand and changed it into four long single curved blades. He brought his hands to his center and pooled the mist there before turning it into a large shuriken. He then grabbed an item with a leather handle and a black ring surrounding it. He pressed a switch and the handle extended while the ring opened up and changed into a long curved blade at the end of the long handle, turning into a scythe. He swung the back end of the top into his mist and spun it around. He stopped spinning and set it next to him, the blade now being longer due to the mist forming that way.

"Wow!" Millie said in amazement.

"Yea. I'm awesome."

"Says second place." Poch said with a smirk.

"Shut up," Jack dismissed his shadow, "your turn." He switched places with Poch.

"Now. One of regular shadow demons is Taurus, who you saw yesterday so won't bother showing him, another is," Poch wrote Xß+₩ß×, "Chomper." His shadow wrapped around him, swallowing him as it changed shape. A huge long mouth appeared with thin lips and scales, and from it's back came two short flat footed legs that raised it up. It had no eyes, arms, or nose. It walked up to Moxxie, taking heavy steps.

Moxxie shrunk as it stood in front of him. "Uuum."

It opened its mouth, revealing it had three layers of nearly razor sharp teeth. It chomped right in front of Moxxie's face, making him scream and jump back. Poch laughed and its mouth opened wider, showing Poch at its throat with his left arm integrated at the mouth's roof while the other was in its bottom jaw. "Sorry Moxxie, couldn't help it!" Poch said in a laugh. "I didn't scare you too bad did I?"

"I-I wasn't scared!"

"Your pants are wet."

"Huh?" He looked down to see nothing on his pants.

"Gotcha!" Poch chuckled and walked back, dismissing Chomper. He turned to face them all. "Next is," he wrote X+àçß, "Ardov!" He jumped and rolled into the air. His shadow swallowed him up and turned into a gigantic ball with spikes.

"A giant spike ball?" Blitzø surmised.

The ball rolled forward and stopped in front of Blitzø. "A ROLLING giant spike ball." Poch said from within. He rolled back. "I can actually roll pretty quick in this."

Jack crept up to Ardov, wielding his scythe.

"Only issue is its ba-" Ardov was wacked in the side by Jack, sending it and Poch off the roof, "-LANCE! JAAAAAACK!" Everyone looked wide eyed as Poch fell.

"AHAHAHAHAHA!" Jack laughed.

"Why would you do that!?" Moxxie freaked.

"Oh he'll be fine!" Jack compacted his scythe and placed it behind his waist. "Those daggers are real handy in situations like th-"

A red rift appeared beside him and, not even a second later, Poch lunged out of it and at Jack, ramming into the imp and rolling across the ground. They stopped rolling and Poch was atop Jack, glaring at him, growling as he choked him.

"It...was a...joke!" Jack said, losing air.

"I nearly hit a pole, you dick!" Poch growled as he strangled Jack.

"Hey, before you choke the shit out of him, can you show us the rest of your shadow guys! There's actually a few targets we need to get for a client!" Blitzø requested.

"Shadow demons." Millie corrected.

"Yea that!"

Poch sighed and let go of Jack's neck, letting the imp fall and breathe. "Alright, next is my unique one," X+ßøœ was what he wrote, "Shiva." His shadow broke apart and formed into many fragments of bones. He reached out his hand and the fragments came together to form a large skeletal arm and hand. "Shiva is literally bone fragments that I can combine to make, well, bones." Poch returned Shiva and Jack walked beside him. "So those are our shadow demons."

"Wait, what about the one with the large sword?"

Poch looked away and frowned. "That ones...complicated."

"Anyway, you said you had a target?" Jack changed subjects.

"Oh right! To the meeting room!" Blitzø said.

Blitzø wrote on the board. "So we got about ten targets, some biker gang, and they're apparently all holed up in this garage!" He drew ten human stick figures and surrounded them in a box. "All we gotta do is hop over to the living world and chop them to bits, but in stealth!"

"Stealth? With you?" Moxxie questioned.

"Shut up Moxxie, with how big the place is, we could do it!"

"Sounds good. Who's going?" Jack asked.

"M&M will go with me there! You, Jack," he got next to Jack and handed him a slip of paper. "Will take care of this, since you have a human disguise!"

"He has a human disguise!?" Moxxie asked in surprise.

"Yea! Told me about it on the way here!" Blitzø answered.

"What do I do?" Poch asked.

"You stay here and watch over my Loony incase another Cleansing happens early."

"Ugh, I don't need some bodyguard!" Loona told him.

"I'm not taking chances!" He grabbed the book. "Can I trust you Poch?"

"Sure, boss." Poch answered.

"Great, let's go!" He dragged Moxxie and Jack off and Millie followed as they left the room.

A few seconds of silence passed, before Loona set her phone down. "So," she looked to Poch, "I've been wondering, if a stand has its own personality and all that, does that mean their users have a split personality?"

"Don't think so. There hasn't been any evidence of it." Poch grabbed his red dagger. "One sec." He ripped open a portal and leaned his top half in. He whistled before coming out with a big container full of food. He replaced his old portal with a new one and went halfway in. He came out a few seconds later without the container. "You wanna watch it?"

"Huh?" Loona looked at him quizzically when he first opened his portal, and now looked more confused thanks to his question.

"Jojo. Wanna watch it? We can start at part three if you want."

"Well…" she admits that she was curious. Poch gave an interesting description of the show. Jotaro sounds like her kind of character.

"It'll help pass the time."

Loona shrugged. "Eh, sure."

"Sweet!" Poch opened a rift and reached in, pulling out a tablet. He set it on the table with its stand out, laying it sideways. He opened it up and went to his gallery. He went to a folder labeled "JoJo part three" and opened up the first video. He made another portal and leaned in, taking out the container from before. He opened the lid and steam came out. "Nice and hot!" He said. In his container were rolls of fried sushi.

"Is that….fried sushi?"

"Want some?"

Loona nodded and Poch slid the sushi to her. She took a piece and placed it in her mouth. Her eyes widened slightly as she chewed. The crunchy texture of the wrap and juicy shrimp with the addition of the white rice and melted cheese, livened up her taste buds.

"Good?"

"Yea, not bad. You make these?" She took another piece.

"Yea. Made them last night before sleeping." He hit play and the video started.

Loona leaned back, eating sushi with Poch as they watched Jojo.

2 hours later.

"I don't trust that ship." Loona said as the gang in the show were approached by the freighter. Poch and her finished up the sushi earlier and finished up the sixth episode of Stardust Crusaders.

"Rightfully so." Poch said.

Loona's phone rang, it was Blitzø. She hit answer and held it to her ear. "Hello?...yeah, hang on." She hung up and got up. "They're ready to come back." She stopped walking and looked. "Hey. That was actually not bad so…. let's do this again sometime…..but don't say anything to anyone about this." She said before walking off to open the gate.

Poch smiled and put the container and tablet away via a red portal. He got up and followed Loona.

Blitzø, Moxxie, and Millie walked out the gateway Loona made. Blitzø had a wide cocky smile while Moxxie scowled. "And you said we couldn't do it stealthily!" Blitzø mocked.

"I still cant beleive that stupid plan worked!" Moxxie said with passive aggression.

"Course your smooth brain wouldn't see it, the plan was ingenious!"

"He's not gonna let me live this down for a while." Moxxie said with Millie patting his back.

"Uh, where's Jack?" Poch asked.

Blitzø's smile dropped. "Shit."

"You forgot about him, didn't you?" Moxxie questioned.

"It's fine, we'll just go back and look for him."

"You can't, you don't have a disguise!"

"Well, smooth brain, you got a better idea?"

"I do. Where'd you open that gate?." Poch asked, pulling out his blue blade.

"Some old garage place near Bakersfield street." Blitzø told him

"Sweet. Open it there again in about five minutes.."

"Why?" Loona asked.

"To get Jack back." He sliced in the air and tore open a blue rift. He walked in and the portal disappeared.

"Wonder what he's doing?" Millie wondered.

Five minutes later.

Loona opened up the get and Jack walked in, eating a burger and drinking a shake. "I'm back."

"Good to see ya!" Blitzø said. "How'd Poch get to you?"

"Oh, his blue blade let's him open up portals to the human world."

"Really!? Holy shit we can use him to get to the living world."

"Nah. Only Poch can go through the portals."

"Well god dammit." Blitzø sulked.

"Where is Poch?" Millie asked.

"He's...exploring. He's got a human disguise so there's nothing to worry about."

"You two are gonna make business booming, plus you're protection for when the next cleansing happens! I'm so glad I found you!" Blitzø said, hugging Jack.

"You found them!?" Moxxie exclaimed.

"Hey, I sent you out there so it's cause of me you found them!"

"Bullshit! I'm the one who brought them here!"

"Cause I asked!"

"Hey Jack, I was wondering, how many exterminators are there?"

"Four. Me, Poch, and our other friends, Shelly and Dundy."

"How come there's so few?" Moxxie asked.

"He can't tell you, it's complicated." Blitzø answered.

"How do you-"

"He told me when we walked here."

"He asked a bunch of questions." Jack responded.

"So how do you become an exterminator?" Millie asked.

"That's a secret. All I can't tell you is that you guys can't be one because of certain conditions."

"Oh, Is that all?" Loona said sarcastically.

"Yea. Anyway we got any more targets?"

"Nah that's all we got for today, unless some more clients come to us!" Blitzø said, putting his arm around Jack's shoulder. "Did I

Ever finish that story about Verosika?"

"No, but do continue." He requested, being led to Blitzø's office.

"Moxxie, while we do that, maybe work on your bow gun, you almost messed up our stealth!" Blitzø said, going to his office.

"Ugh, I swear it's his fault it's messed up." Moxxie grumbled.

"Let's go fix it up." Millie said in a caring tone.

Moxxie aimed his crossbow at the picture of a human male that Loona was holding. "Let's see."

He said to himself before pulling the trigger.

Before he fully pulled it, a blue portal opened, and Poch jumped out, startling Moxxie and causing him to pull the trigger fully, shooting the arrow at him. Poch noticed it. "Ah!" He yelped and grabbed the arrow before getting pierced by it.

"Poch!" Moxxie called out to him with everyone staring at the hellhound with surprise.

"Hey guys, what's the arrow for?" Poch asked.

"I was fixing my crossbow, Blitzø messed it up."

"I see. Jack came back right?"

"Yea. Blitzø and him are sharing stories in his office I think."

"Sweet." Poch handed him back the arrow. "So is that it for the day?"

"Yea, unless we get a new client." Millie explained.

"Cool...so you think I can get the next one? I wanna practice sniping with Shiva." Poch asked, fiddling with the arrow.

"You could practice here with Moxxie."

"Yea, but shooting a picture is quite different from shooting a per-"

A loud crash came from the front door.

"The hell was that!?" Moxxie asked.

They all exited the room and at the front door they saw a big buff white owl. He was seven feet and three inches tall, wore a brown sleeveless shirt, black casual pants, and wore a silver necklace. He had bright red eyes and a dark yellow beak. "Drat. Another door broken." He said in a Russian accent, while holding the front door from its hinges.

"Dundy?" Poch called out.

"What was that!?" Blitzø asked, rushing out his office.

Jack peaked his head out and saw the owl. "Another day, another couple of broken doors, eh Dundy?"

"Seems so." The owl said, placing the door behind him on the wall. "Who's the owner of this establishment?" Jack and Poch pointed at Blitzø. The owl walked up to Blitzø. "Hello."

"Uh...hi." Blitzø greeted, shrinking back.

The owl reached into his back pocket and pulled out a wallet. He opened it and handed Blitzø a couple dollar bills. "This Should pay for damages."

"Uh thanks."

"Oh! Where are my manners?" He took a step back and bowed. "My name is Dundy Welch."

"Oh, you're the guy Jack told me about!"

"Yes. I'm here to train with him."

"He didn't mention you were so…huge!"

"He tends to forget that part on purpose. Likes to see the reactions to my presence."

"By JoJo standards he'd still be considered normal." Poch whispered to Loona.

Loona smirked and silently chuckled in response.

"Mind if we train on the roof, boss?" Jack asked Blitzø.

"Sure, I don't care." Blitzø answered.

"Wanna join us Poch?"

"Nah imma stay just in case there's a new client."

"Actually, I would like to talk to you real quick, can you spare a few minutes?" Dundy said.

"About?"

"Private business."

"Ok. I'll be back soon." Poch told the others while leaving.

"So what's up?" Poch asked Dundy. Jack, Dundy, and him were on the roof of the building.

"Do you know about the cleansing of yesterday?"

"The one we were all a part of? Pretty sure we know about it." Jack sarcastically remarked.

"Poor choice of words. I mean, do you know what caused it?"

"No clue. It was unannounced and three days early."

"Well I believe I have a trail on why."

"Really?" Jack said as Poch and him listened closely as Dundy grabbed their attention.

"It may be because they were remnants of the Purge."

"What!? That's crazy!"

"Actually," Poch spoke, "when I went over to the human world I did see something that looked like the remnants of a Purging."

"I thought you went to check up on Tom and Ilas?" Jack questioned.

"I did, and on my way back I think I felt a small remnant of tempered space."

"You think?"

"I didn't go back to check, reason being is cause I saw Lithe close by."

"Lithe was there!?"

"Yeah. He may have just been passing by but I didnt know and didn't want him seeing me."

"Good call. Even so, even if the Purge came, how did it transfer here?"

"I do not know, but I heard that it ended early, thirty minutes early."

"Thats-!" Jack started

"How long the cleansing lasted yesterday." Poch finished.

"I know. Strange, no?"

"Strange is an understatement."

"Did they make a gateway to hell from earth?" Jack asked.

"I do not know yet. My source is still looking into it."

"Well, hope she finds something quick."

"Same. Now Jack," Dundy put a red bracelet on each wrist, "shall we train!" He punched his fist together and the red bracelets transformed and shifted into a pair of fingerless red fighter gloves.

Jack whipped out his scythe. "Come at me!"

"Have fun guys." Poch left them to spar.

Poch walked in and saw Loona at the reception desk, looking at her phone. "Hey Loona."

"Hey." She replied.

Poch sat next to her and thought about the earlier conversation. "You find anything about yesterday's Cleansing?" He asked Loona.

"Nothing other than videos and comments about how crazy it was."

"Any of those comments say anything mentionable."

"Nothing but a bunch of conspiracy bullshit."

"Damn."

"One guy did get some video fame by filming the sky before the portals opened."

"Oh? Can I see it?"

"Sure." Loona taped away on her phone, bringing up the video. "Here."

Poch leaned in and Loona brought the phone closer so he could see. The video showed the sky. The imp in it was apparently about to launch some sort of rocket until the sirens came up. The imp panicked and ran to a hiding place, leaving his recording device out. In the video, the sky tore open with white portals and the angels came in. "Wait, what was that?" Poch leaned in.

"What?"

"Rewind like ten seconds." Loona did so. "...you see that?"

"See what?"

Poch rewinded and pointed at the spot where the hole was about to appear. "That."

"What?" Loona said, confused.

"Here." He took Loona's phone, bringing up the video settings.

"Hey! Don't just take my-!" Loona was taken aback when Poch sat in her lap. "Wh-what are you-!?"

"Look." Poch moved the screen closer to her. The video was zoomed in and playing slower. Right before the portal appeared, a small blue streak cut across the sky, forming the lips of the gate before it opened wide.

"What the-?" Loona looked quizzically.

"Have you ever seen that before?"

"No, I haven't. Normally the gates would just appear."

"Yea, and this looks like something tore through the sky to make a portal."

"That's….weird."

"Yeah." Poch handed the phone back to her. "Loona, the ones who made the gates were the Angel's right?"

"Yeah, they had someone go to hell and make some drawings in the sky that would allow gateways to be opened there."

"You think it's possible for someone to forcefully open them? Like the one who made them." Poch asked, leaning back.

"The one who made it suicided, so no."

"Then someone else?"

"I doubt it, even so, why now?"

"No clue. There isn't enough to go on."

"Huh…"

They heard a camera snap and looked to the side to see Blitzø holding a camera. "You two look adorable!"

Loona and Poch looked at each other and blushed. Poch realised he was in Loona's lap and quickly got off. "I'm Sorry, I-I wasn't paying attention!" Poch said to her, nervously smiling.

"I'm gonna set this as my wallpaper!"

"Blitzø, you delete that!" Loona yelled at him.

"Aww but why?"

"Delete it right now!" She tried to grab his phone but he kept dodging her reach.

"But you looked so cute Loony!"

"Just, ugh, atleast dont show it to anyone!"

"Hmmm ok!"

"And you," she glared at Poch, "never do that again!"

Poch nodded. "Got it!"

Loona stormed off into the break room.

Blitzø approached Poch. "Want a copy?"

"I'm good, in fact I'm gonna go home for tonight." Poch said, still tense.

"Well we're gonna close up for the day soon anyway."

"Great, see you tomorrow boss." Poch said, opening a red portal with his blade and hopping in.

Blitzø looked at his phone, looking at the picture of Poch sitting comfortably on Loonas lap. "Aaaand favorite!" He added it to his favorites.
