Chapter 6. Bonds.
"So you're saying there's a chance of another early cleansing?" Blitzø asked Solis.
Solis nodded. "Yeah, there's some rumors floating around about it so I decided to take a look into it and it looks pretty possible."
"Well shit!"
"Do you know when?" Moxxie asked.
Solis shook his head. "Nope."
"So it could happen any time, even when we least expect it?"
"Yep, best we can do is prep for it."
"Alright! Here's the plan!" Blitzø grabbed a large sheet of paper and drew on it. "Jacko!"
"Yes boss?" Jack responded to his name being called.
Blitzø drew himself, Moxxie, and Millie with Jack being in the front of them. "You're gonna be our bodyguard! We'll all stick together like glue even to the bathrooms!"
"Please no." Moxxie pleaded.
"What about Loona?" Millie asked.
"She," Blitzo drew Poch and Loona next to each other, "is gonna stick with Pocho!"
Poch looked at the drawing of him. It had his tongue out with puppy dog eyes and he had stick arms with daggers in them. "Why the eyes?"
"That doesn't matter, what does matter is you taking care of my Loony, and remember," He got in Pochs face, "no funny business. I may like you and you may look cute sitting on her lap, but were not at the blessing to date stage yet."
"Blitzø!" Loona shouted at him, blushing and face palming.
"Ok, got it, yeah." Poch told him, blushing.
"Good! Now I want you two constantly together!" Blitzø said.
"I don't think she minds that, they're practically like that already." Millie teased.
"Shut. Up." Loona growled.
"Hey, Blitzø?" Shelly called to the imp.
Blitzø turned to her. "Yes?"
"As an extra bonus, how bout I play turrent for you."
"Whaddya mean?"
"I'll stay up top and if the p- Uh, cleansing does happen, then I'll be ready to blast them down. I'll have Solis with me too as support!"
"I may not be able to kill them, but I can at least give them a run for their money," Solis commented with a smirk.
"I can vouch for Solis, dude knows how to use a short sword," Poch vouched.
"Can't hold a candle to dagger boy here though."
Poch rolled his eyes.
"Sounds great! You can hold the fort!" Blitzø told them.
"Sweet!" Shelly grabbed Solis by the waist and pulled him in. "Let's lick some ass!"
"You either mean me doing it to you specifically or you meant kick," Solis said.
"Oh, you naughty hound." Shelly kissed his nose, causing a chuckle to escape his lips.
"Aww you two are so cute!" Millie mentioned.
"Yeah, adorable, now let's head to the gun shop!" Blitzø said.
"Why are we going there?" Moxxie asked.
"My new piece is supposed to be done tonight and I gotta pick it up."
"Can we go shopping afterwards? We gotta get ingredients for tonight's dinner." Millie questioned.
"Sure! What are we having for dinner?"
Moxxie raised an eyebrow, "We?"
Blitzo wrapped his arms around Jack, Moxxie, and Millie's neck, pulling them close. "Like glue, Moxxie!"
"Ugh." Moxie groaned. "It's not even gonna happen till tomorrow!"
"We don't know that Mox! Till then! Glue! Lets go!"
Jack smiled. "You got it, boss!"
"Lets go!" Blitzo pulled them away out of the room.
"Were gonna get into position as well!" Shelly said. She picked up Solis, "lets go babe!" She left the room with him in tow, leaving Poch and Loona alone.
"...so uh...can I ask your opinion on something?" Poch turned to Loona.
"Whats up?" Loona answered.
"Well, you got an instagram?"
"Yeah, why?"
"The day Jack told me about us being posted on social media of us at the cleansing, he suggested I make an instagram, but It's not like i take a lot of selfies, or whatever, but he's telling me It's best to ride this bandwagon while its starting. Really i think he just wants to be a celeb. You think I should make one?"
"You were asked about quite a bit on those posts of you, so I say why not," Loona shrugged, "Ittl at least give them some answers."
"I guess. Could post some photos I already have of myself. What should I name it?" He took out his phone.
"I don't know. Exterminator Poch?"
"Eh. What's your name?"
"Its Moonlight Howling 666, with underscores between it."
"Hmmm," Poch thought it over, "I kill angels...I'm a hellhound….how bout Howling angel slayer?"
"That sounds good."
"Alright, ill set that in….birth date….name….yada yada….and…..there! All set! I'll give you a follow."
"Ok, I'll follow back." She grabbed her phone and opened her insta. She saw her recent follower and accessed the page. There was no profile pic and no pictures. The description said "Exterminator, hellhound, portal maker." she gave him a follow.
"I'm gonna upload some pics from my gallery in a bit but first," He gave her his phone, "need a pfp. Mind taking a pic?"
"Sure." She grabbed his phone. The camera app was already open and she aimed it at Poch.
"Hold on." Poch drew his daggers, crouched down and leaned to the left, rose his left arm up behind him while the other was low in front of him, and his right leg stretched out. Both blades of his dagger faced below his hands. "Alright, go for it." He furrowed his brows, donning a serious look.
Loona took the photo. "I'll admit, you look cool."
"Really?" Poch sheathed his daggers and took his phone back and had the picture posted and set as his profile picture.
"Yeah." She made a small smile.
"Hm…" He was scrolling through his phone.
"What?"
"Nothing, just looking through your insta and...you should really wear these other clothes often. They look good on you."
"Oh, thanks." She made a small blush.
"Though im one to talk. I have other clothes to wear too but i'm always going with this jacket. I like it too much." Poch chuckled.
"It looks good on you so I don't see an issue. Just wear a different shirt underneath and have it Zipped open, that'll make things different." Loona suggested.
"I don't often wear shirts though. Which is bad, cause if i need to take it off, I don't got a body to show off."
"What are you talking about? Your bodys fine."
"I'm too slender."
Loona rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up. You just lean…. it's honestly kinda cute."
"Y-You think I'm cute?"
Loona blushed. "W-well...k...kinda. I mean...you got those nice blue eyes, that young face, a slender body-"
"Yeah, but you're cuter though, not to mention sexy to boot."
"What!?"
"Don't 'what!?' me. You got that nice figure, those piercing eyes, the cute 'dont give a shit' look, you got nice curves,"
Loona felt her face get redder and redder as Poch went on.
"The way you do your hair just makes you look hotter, that tail is just something i'd love to wrap around me,"
"Ok stop!" Loona couldn't take anymore. "Just...add your pictures already!"
"Uh, sure. Mind helping me? I don't know what would be good to add or if somethings would look better with a filter. It won't take long. I only got like twenty pics of me.
"...fine."
After scrolling through and posting some of Pochs selfies, poch now had fifteen posts on his page.
"Looks good. Let's stop there." Poch said.
"I'm fine with that. Where'd you get some of those clothes, the design looked pretty nice." Loona asked.
"There's a shop in the human world. Speaking of, where's the book?"
"It's on my desk."
"Ok good, then you have a way of getting to my place."
"Huh?"
"He said like glue, remember. But I'm not going to the bathroom with you."
"Heh, you better not."
"Hehe. So what do you want for dinner?"
"You cooking?"
"Yeah, i mostly cook chinese food but i'm adaptable, that ok?"
"That's fine…..how bout… chicken."
"Chicken?"
"Yeah. Chicken."
"Chicken….alright i'll make something with chicken." Poch got up. "Lets go."
"Hm?"
"Need to get some groceries. The books on your desk right?"
"Yeah, but what do we need it for?"
"The human world. Where else?"
"You got to the human world for that?"
"Yeah. That shouldn't surprise you considering that's where I live."
"True."
"So, let's roll."
Loona sighed. "Alright."
Loona walked through the gateway, going into an alleyway in human form. Poch waited for her outside, also in human form, but wearing a brown sweater.
"Why you wearing that?"
"Uh...reasons." He put on the hood of the sweater, trying to hide his face. "Follow me." He walked around the corner with Loona following. There was a market close by and they headed to it, grabbing a cart. Poch went down the isles, grabbing items. "Let's see...need this...this...oh! This one's on sale! Can you grab me that spice up there?" He pointed to the highest shelf.
Looma grabbed it for him. "Sure thing, shorty," She smirked.
"Thanks skyscraper."
"Heh, touche."
"So, since you'll be staying over tonight, wanna watch a movie?"
"Sure. What movie?"
"You wanna pick? There's a movie aisle at the end of that lane. Once you pick out a movie just meet me at the checkout," He pointed at isle eight.
"Ok," She headed for said lane. She walked down the aisle, reading the signs. As she walked she was thinking more of an action movie but a few comedy's caught her eye. She found a good action movie and picked it up, deciding on that one.
"Loona?" A feminine voice said.
Loona looked forward and saw Ilas with Tom behind her.
"Hey!" She rushed up to her. "It is you!"
"Uh, hey," Loona greeted.
"Hiya," Tom greeted, "Pocnut with you?"
"Ah, no, he's uh..hes at home."
"Aww," Ilas pouted, "I wanted to pet him again. He really did remind me of Poch."
"Cmon Ilas, you really gotta let that go," Tom told her.
"I know, it's just….it felt so familiar."
"If...if you don't mind me asking," Lonna gained their attention, "who's this Poch person?"
Ilas gave a small smile and Tom just sighed with the same expression before he answered. "He's….a brother."
Loona was confused. "What'd ya mean?"
"Exactly what I meant. He's a brother. Not by blood but...we've known him ever since we were kids and we were raised together by the same parent. Him and Celis were like family."
Loona became even more confused. "You've known him since childhood?"
Ilas chuckled. "Yeah. I was just the neighbor when Tom's dad took them in. I'd come over and visit almost every day to the point where I became part of the family. Celis even started calling sis and eventually Poch did too."
"What...what happened to him?"
"...I wish we knew. One day he and Celis leave for somewhere and we hardly hear from them. Then we don't hear anything at all. And finally...we get a message from him...telling us that Celis is dead and that he's gonna be gone and that….we may not see him again." A tear went down her eye. "I don't believe that...we will see him again...no matter what."
Tom placed his hand on her shoulder. "When we do, I'm punching him before I hug him."
"Same for me!"
"Uh, maybe you should just yell at him, your punches are deadly." Tom chuckled.
"Oh it's not that bad!" Ilas giggled, elbowing him.
Loona didn't know how to process this. "How long has he been on earth?" She said to herself.
Tom's phone dinged and he brought it out. "Ah, that's pops. We gotta go."
Ilas looked to Loona and took her hand. "Thanks for listening."
"Oh, uh, no problem," Loona responded.
"Have a good evening," Ilas waved as she and Tom left.
Loona stood there, trying to process what she was told. She left for the checkout lane Poch told her he'd be at. It was a self checkout lane and he was already scanning items.
He noticed her walking up. "Hey, find a good movie?"
"Uh, yeah, here," she handed it to him.
"Oh sweet, I've heard good things about this one. Nice choice."
"Thanks…"
Poch noticed her acting weird. "Something wrong?"
"...I ran into Tom and Ilas and...they told me something about you."
Poch avoided eye contact, looking away. "O-oh?"
"Yeah…..they called you a brother."
"Heh...they shouldn't."
"Well...they did...wanna tell me what that's about?"
"Not...really, no..."
As much as Loona wanted to pry she didn't wanna make a scene. "Fine. Whatever. I'll be outside." She headed out.
"Ok. Meet you there in a bit."
Poch checked out his items, and met Loona outside. He used a portal to set the items in his place before walking with her to said place. The walk was rather silent, neither saying much of word to the other. They eventually got to his penthouse, changing back to normal.
"I'll go ahead and start cooking. We can watch the tube if you want," Poch informed her.
"Ok, I didnt wanna pry, but I'm prying," Loona turned to him, "how long have lived in the human world."
"I..." He sighed, "do we have to do this now?"
"Yes! We do!"
"...a long time, ok?"
"Not ok. How long is a long time? Why were you even here?"
"Loona...just...drop it ok?"
Loona got angry. "I will not drop it! I had to deal with meeting your so-called "family" twice now, having to deal with some drama involving you, which by the way, makes you look pretty shitty!"
"Loona…"
"No! Do you know how awkward that is, being involved in something I don't know shit about!"
Poch growled. "You don't know shit."
"What?"
"You don't know shit!" He snarled at her, startling her. "You think I don't know that it's shitty that I don't see them!?" He barked, stomping up to her, causing her to back up, "you think I like staying away from them!? You think I want to do it!? You think I wouldnt wanna be close to who I consider a brother and a sister, especially when I fucking lost mine!?"
Loona stepped back as he got closer, tripping and falling against the wall. She shrunk when he got into her face, snarling and baring his fangs, small tears welling in his eyes.
"You don't know shit about me! You don't know what I do or why! I tell you two things about me, and you think that's enough to pry like this?! There are things I can't tell that are not easy to tell, and you think you have the right for it to be told to you!? When I cant even fucking tell them!?" He yelled, tapping her chest. "You. Don't. Know. Shit! So kindly fuck off!" He swiveled around and walked to his kitchen.
Loona sat there against the wall, shocked, scared, but mostly...she felt guilty.
Poch was taking out the items and was getting the cooking tools he needed to cook. He heard the opening of a gate and looked behind to see Loona's tails disappearing in one before it closed. Poch thought to go after her but fought against it, being too mad to.
The orange chicken Poch made was inside a pan on the stove, staying hot. He went to the rice cooker and checked to see if his white rice was prepared. It was. "Loona! Dinners ready!" Poch called out. "...Loona?" He looked around and saw no sign of the hellhound. "Oh right...she left...haaa…" he grabbed his red dagger, "better go get h-" before he could make a portal, a knock came at his door. He sheathed his blade and walked to the door. He opened it and saw Loona.
"...hey," She solemnly greeted.
"H-hey…" he awkwardly greeted back.
"Can I...can I come in?"
"..." Poch moved to the side and gestured for her to come in. As she walked in, he decided to tell her what he made. "I made some orange chicken and white rice. It's on the stove ri-"
"I'm sorry."
"What?"
She turned to him. "Im… I'm sorry….for earlier...I didn't have the right to grill you like that."
"...I'm sorry I snapped at you...and that you had to run into them again."
"Don't be...you had every right to snap at me."
"...ready for Chinese and a movie?" Poch smiled.
Loona smiled back, "Yeah."
"We have you surrounded! There's no escape!" The antagonist from the movie yelled.
"He's so gonna find a way to escape," Poch commented, eating some of his rice.
"Yeah," Loona agreed, taking a bite of her chicken, "that's how it works."
The two enjoyed the movie and their dinner before heading to bed. Loona was smiling the whole time, especially when talking to Poch about the movie.
Next day.
Poch stood on the roof with Shelly, and Solis. Jack was calling them on the phone, being with the imps of I.M.P.
"So," Poch started, "how was your night with Blitzø?"
"Pretty rad. He had me use dust to mess with Moxxie and actually gave me an idea on another way to use him. We also watched a movie," Jack answered on speaker phone.
"Hah, same."
"What movie did you watch?" Shelly asked.
"Since he was with Loona it was probably a romance," Solis smirked.
"It was an action movie, one she picked out," Poch rolled his eyes.
"Yeah but I bet you still got closer."
"Well...we did bond a little," Poch smiled.
"Oooh!" Jack cooed.
"A-anyways, the Purge is happening right now isn't it?"
"Yeah, Dun messaged me about an hour ago," Shelly answered.
"An hour huh? Meaning not long is left. Maybe it won't co-" The sirens blared and the heavenly gates appeared. "Nevermind." The Angel's came and the timer appeared, showing fifteen minutes. "Not a long one, that's good. Good luck Jack!"
"Thanks, you too!" Jack hung up.
Poch stood up and pulled out his daggers. "Let's roll some heads!" He leapt and ripped a portal to the ground.
Shelly looked to Solis. "Ready babe?"
Solis pulled out a silver longsword with a straight guard and a red pistol. "Ready!"
"Damn you look hot right now."
Solis blushed. "You're one to talk." Two average angels with scythes landed behind Solis. He swerved low and cut them in the knees before Shelly finished them with two head shots. He then pointed his gun and shot at four Angel's that were approaching Shelly, knocking them back before they were executed by the exterminator. "Got you back."
"Thanks hun!" She wrote for her shadow demon, "Le-Armes!" The disk appeared behind her and out came one rifle on the right of her. She slid in her pistol and equipped her visor, already starting to shoot the Angels appearing.
On Poch's end, he had Chomper munching on a group of heavenly assailants. Some tried to stab him with their scythe and blades but Chomper's hide was too thick to cut all the way through so they were shaken off before being next to munch on.
With Jack, he was in front of M&Ms house. Ripping through all the angels that appeared. There were a whole bunch of them but none of them were special. Blitzø even helped with his new piece, a pump action shotgun with four barrels.
"Take this!" Blitzø yelled, getting knocked back after firing. "Whoa, this things got some kick."
"Whatd you think would happen when you had four barrels!?" Moxxie shouted from his window, him and Millie shooting at their heavenly counterparts with their special pistols.
As Poch sliced through the horde in front of him, leaving a tail of halos in his path, something felt off to him. He grabbed his phone and called Solis.
Solis was kicking away an angel before lobing his sword into its shoulder, pinning it in the wall for Shelly to finish it, when his phone rang. He put in his ear piece and hit answer. "Hello?"
"Hey, how are things on your end?" Poch asked.
Solis grabbed his blade, jumped and did a spin slash on the Angel's flying to them, knocking them to the ground. "So far so good. If I could kill these things I'd be at about eight." He shot at two coming from his left. "Ten."
"Any above average angels?"
"Nope, not yet."
"Ok. Well, stay safe." He hung up.
"Alrighty," he ran up to the ones coming up to Shelly from behind, thrusting his long sword at a few before pelting the last one with bullets. "Fourteen."
Shelly chuckled, shooting at the ones he hit and the ones circling the building. "You're on a roll!"
"Yeah, if only I was an exterminator."
"I'd be cool if you were, babe, but you were born her so-"
"Yeah I know. I'm not complaining. I met a hotty here after all." Solis winked.
Shelly blushed. "Oh you charmer! What Poch want?"
"He was asking about the Angel's were dealing with, asking if any were above average."
"Hm...now that you mention it…"
"This is a tribute to you boss!" Jack yelled as he used Dust to form into the shape of Blitzø. He then charged it at the Angel's, ripping off their heads.
Blitzø shed a tear. "It's...it's beautiful."
"Ugh," Moxxie rolled his eyes. The phone next to him rang. "Sir! Your phone's ringing!"
"Answer it for me!" Blitzø told him.
Moxxie took the phone and answered. "Hello?...Poch?...he's busy...what about the angels?" He looked outside and observed what they were fighting. "Uhhh….no doesn't seem like it, though there are a lot of them here….I'm guessing thirty minutes?...fifteen? That's short….sure I'll tell him…." Moxxie pulled the phone away. "Jack!"
"What?" Jack responded.
"Poch says be careful, something feels off!"
"Tell him he's a worry wart!"
"He says you're a worry wart," Moxxie told Poch. "...ok," He turned to Jack, "He says "fuck you"!"
"Tell him I said I'm not gay!"
"He said- oh you heard him….sure I can keep a lookout….you're welcome." He hung up.
Poch pulled his blue dagger out of the eye of an angel, putting his phone away. "Fucking bastard." Poch looked forward, seeing a crowd of Angel's March towards him. "More small fry…" Poch said, concerned. He ran up to them and called for Ardov, plowing through them with ease. He dismissed the shadow demon and looked at the clock. Five minutes have passed. He looked up and tilted his head quizzically at what he saw.
"What the-?" Shelly said.
"Hun?" Solis asked, knocking down a heavenly assailant before shooting one behind him.
"Look." She pointed to the top of the taller buildings before finishing off what Solis knocked down.
"What?" Solis looked to where she pointed. "Huh?" Where he pointed his gaze he saw the Angel's just standing on top of the roofs, remaining there, as more joined them. "What are they doing?"
"I don't know but...I feel like I've seen this before."
"Well they're making themselves easy targets for you and less are coming to us compared to going there."
"That's what bothers me. It's like they're preparing for something."
Solis's phone rang and he picked it up. "Hello?"
"Put me on speaker!" Poch yelled.
Solis did so. "What's up?"
"Shelly! Focus on the small angels and get ready to shield! You too Sol!"
Shelly looked at the phone quizzically. "Poch?"
"I know what's coming! It's a boss!"
Her eyes widened. "Oh shit!"
"A boss?" Solis asked.
"Poch, I'll give support!"
"Don't! Jack's not here, we don't have Dundy, and Solis can't kill them! We know they're gonna focus on us so they'll be swarming that building while the boss is here! I'll take care of it while you play defense!" Poch told her.
"But-" Shelly was cut off by the sound of bells, "oh shit!"
"Here it comes! Get ready!" Poch hung up.
The sound of bells rang out from the sky. The heaven gates that were open began closing one by one, the ringing getting louder. Loona was confused and looked at the clock. It had eight minutes left but what startled her was that it stopped at eight and was flashing.
"What's going on?" She asked. She looked down to Poch, feeling worried.
All the gates disappeared, the ringing continued, and the Angel's stood at the rooftops, looking down. All of the sudden, the ringing stopped and everything was dead silent….then it appeared, a large gate five times the size of a normal one. A thunderous roar escaped it before the beast appeared. It came crashing down, making a large impact, shaking the ground on its entrance. As the dust settles, its form becomes clear.
The beast was a white lion that stood seven meters tall. It had no pupils and had blue markings over its body, mainly on the mane. Its front legs were blue plates that took the shape of a lion's legs and claws. It had a pair of wings and a Holy insignia of a crown on its forehead. It looked forward, seeing Poch, bearing its razor sharp fangs before issuing its battle cry, one that caused the air to shake.
"Let's see which is mightier," Poch said, pushing the blue blade into the red blades handle, turning it into a katana with a raging aura like last time, "the dog or the lion!"
The beast snarled at Poch. The Angel's that stood stationary all went for the building of I.M.P. leaving the hellhound and lion to fight on their own. It charged at him.
"Bring it!" He rushed up to it as well.
It swung down on him and he avoided it by cutting a portal and jumping through it, appearing over its head, slicing at it. It swiftly ducked and went for a headbutt. Poch guarded but was sent flying up. He made a gate that led back to the ground, landing himself in front of the beast again. It swiped at him from the side. He jumped and slashed upwards, nearly getting its chin before it backed up and went in for a bite. Poch acted quick and summoned Taurus to grab its jaws and keep them from closing on him, struggling due to its strength. Light gathered at its throat before a beam was shot from it. Poch had Taurus quickly cross its arms to protect him, getting pushed back but able to land safely.
"What the hell is that!?" Solis asked, flabbergasted.
"We call it a boss. It's essentially a very very strong angel, it can even command the other ones," Shelly explained, shooting at the swarming angels.
"And Poch has to fight it alone!?"
"I'd help if I could! Damnit!" Shelly equipped her second rifle.
"What about Jack?"
"He's still with Blitzø and the other's, dealing with his own swarm no doubt!"
The elevator dinged and Loona came out. "What's going on!?"
"Loona!?" Solis exclaimed.
"What's that thing Poch is fighting!? W-why aren't you helping!?"
"Loona, it's not safe out here!" Solis tried to push her back.
Loona slapped his hand away. "I'm not going without answers!"
"Loona," Shelly started, "I can't help him right now, I gotta deal with this army coming at us!"
"Well what about you then!?" Loona turned to Solis.
"I'm not an exterminator, I can't kill them, and I especially can't hurt that thing!" Solis explained.
"So he's screwed then!"
"Loona hes-"
"Poch will be fine. You've seen him in action. He's tough as nails hellhound especially when using that sword." Shelly took off her visor and looked at Loona with determined eyes. "Trust him."
Loona grumbled. "...fine...but if anything happens to him-"
"He'll make it out, I'll make sure of that at least." She smiled.
"...ok." She turned to leave.
"Glad to know you care about him," Solus commented.
"..." She boarded the elevator and went down, not replying.
"Hragh!" Poch sent a right hook with Taurus right into the beast's jaw. "Ora! Ora! Ora!" He swung left, then right, the left again, " Or-" he sent another right. The lion opened its maw and bit into the bull's arm, hurting Poch's arm in the process. It pulled and attempted to throw him by pulling Taurus. Mid swing, Poch dismissed his demon, readying his sword to open a portal, however the beast remained in motion, doing a full spin and slamming its tail against Poch. He was sent flying but used the momentum to his advantage. He wrote for Ardov and opened a gate. He emerged from the other side of the beast. "Ardov!" Before it could respond, he rolled into a spike ball and rammed into the Lion, managing to push it into a nearby building, grinding into it.
It roared in pain and pushed him off with its wing. It turned to him, unfurled its wings, and turned its tips to him. From its edges, the feathers lit up before firing at him, the feathers getting sharper as they cut through the air to their destination. While Ardov was tough, the feathers were strong, actually able to gash it and break a spike. Poch had to be evasive. He rolled around it, maneuvering around the feathers the best he could while rolling to the lion. He leapt and dismissed Ardov, ready to cut its face.
Before he could cut it, the beast slammed his claw to his side, sending him off. Poch reoriented himself and made a portal that led to its feet, spiraling out of it and swinging his katana to its grounded foot, causing it to fall. It snarled, getting up, and slamming its claw down on Poch.
Poch clashed his sword against its foot, creating sparks, pushing against it before deflecting it away. It swiped its other paw to him. Poch swung his blade to meet with the paw, sliding on the ground as he pushed back. He struggled but managed to push it away, stumbling slightly. The lion then lifted both claws up high before crashing them down on the hellhound, breaking the ground.
"Poch!" Loona yelled out in fear. Her fear resided when she saw the beast struggle to hold something down.
"Grrrg!" Poch summoned Taurus at the last minute, holding onto the beast's claws. He summoned all his might and pushed up, pushing away its legs before sending an disorienting uppercut to its chin. He wrapped Taurus's arms around it's right leg, pulling it. "RrrrrrrRAGH!" He lifted up and flung it away. He dismissed Taurus and jumped to the beast's leg, running up it and swinging wildly before hoping and sending a downward slash to the end of its leg, dismembering it.
He landed and the lion groaned as it crashed to the ground, struggling to rise. As soon it did, roared in rage, unfurling and straightening its wings. The edges of its wings lit up, growing sharper before it swiped its left wing down.
"Shiva!" Poch wrote and called for his bone shadow demon, he guided it with his hands to form around his chaos blade as a long bone sword. He met with its wing, clashing with it, managing to push it away before its other wing went at him. He skidded back when he blocked. He groaned and shoved the wing away, getting stabbed at by the one from earlier. He barely managed to redirect it by having it slide off his enforced bone sword. He panted and nearly fell to his knees, feeling his arms tingle. 'Damnit! Can't use the chaos blade for long, gotta finish this quick!' He thought to himself. The beast's other wing was slashing at him. He shoved away his tiredness and leapt. He dismissed shiva. "Chomper!" He summoned the biting demon and bit it into its left wing.
It yelped in pain. It jumped and jostled around, trying to get him off its back. Poch didn't let go and only sunk Chompers teeth in deeper. It cried out and ran its back up into the building near it, crashing through in an attempt to grind him off. Poch grit both his teeth and his shadow demons before planting its legs on the ground firmly, yanking back to pull it off the structures. He pulled back further, blood gushing out its end. With one last tug, the wing ripped off. He jumped and threw it into the lions back. The lion arched it's back and cried out before falling.
Poch landed in front of it, dismissing his demon. He was exhausted, leaning onto his word for leverage. "Done…" he was about to turn it back into daggers till he saw a looming shadow. He gasped and looked back to see the beast open its mouth and bite onto Poch, trapping him in its jaws as the hound fought back, the roof of it being pierced by the katana that helped keep him from being chomped on. His strength was giving out, he could hold for long.
That's when Klarna appeared. It aimed its sword down and stabbed into its eye, shoving it in deep. It wretched in pain and flung them away high into a nearby property. He crashed through the window and tumbled in, startling some of the hell people inside. Klarna tried to help Poch up but the exterminator growled and shoved it away. "Go away!" He dismissed it. He stood up, his body aching, shock rolling up his arms from where he held his chaos blade. "I'm finishing this!" He summoned the rest of his might, fighting through the pain and tiredness for one final push.
He slashed a portal in front of him and ran in, exiting from the top of the building, running down the front of it. The beast looked up at him and fired its feathers, charging light into its mouth. Poch summoned Shiva again, having it enforce his blade once more, swiping the razor sharp plumes away. He kept running, gaining speed. The beast stopped its plumage and released the light it charged up, shooting a massive beam. He met the beam with his sword, his momentum being stopped, getting pushed back. He planted his feet firmly on the structure. His whole body screamed but he pressed on. He took steps forward, fighting against the force of the beam. The beam was losing strength and he was gaining speed, stomping forward. "GRAAAAAA!" He sliced through the beam, getting closer to the lion. The beast tried to put more into its attack but it couldn't. By the time it got its wing ready to fire, it was too late. The bones blade met its face and sliced through, going right down its middle.
Poch knelt in front of it with his blade down. Shiva dismissed itself and the beast split apart, each half falling to the side. He panted, red and blue sparks running up his arm from the handle of his sword. He separated the handle, turning them back into daggers. He groggily got up and opened a red portal, stumbling through it. He tripped coming out and was caught by Loona.
"I got ya," she told him.
"Thanks," he said with little strength. With her help he got to a nearby chair.
"Need some water?"
"Please."
She left for the breaker room and came back with a bottle of water. "Here."
"Thanks again." He uncapped the bottle and drank from it.
"No worries ...you ok?"
"I've been better."
"Shelly's clearing out the final bit with Solis...why'd you have to fight that thing alone?"
"Dundys not here, Shelly had to protect the base, and Jack's with Boss and M&M. I was the only one that coulda fought it."
"Where is dundy?"
"Busy at another ring, he couldn't make it."
"Damn."
"Hey I managed, kinda battered, but I managed. That should tell you to never doubt this tough hellhound."
Loona couldn't help but laugh. "Heh...yeah...need some patching?"
"Jack can do it when he gets back."
"Yeah but...I don't mind doing it."
"Oh, you don't have too."
"I want to." She grabbed the first aid kit. "Where does it hurt?"
"Well nurse Loona,"
"Watch it." She smirked.
"Hah, my arms aching."
"Let's start there then." She rolled up his sleeve.
"I may have some ribs broken too but Jack can get those since I'd have to take off my jacket." He blushed.
Loona blushed too. "That's fine...it's not like you're gonna fully strip."
"Pfft no of course not."
"Then there's nothing to worry about."
As Loona attended to Poch's injuries, Solis and Shelly stood at the door, recording them. "We're sending this to Blitzø right?" Solis asked.
"Oh definitely." Shelly told him.
