Hello everybody Zelda777 here with chapter six of The Eternal Love of Twilight. Again if you don't want to miss anything please follow this story. Revised as of May 8, 2022.

As Link was heading to Faron Woods he heard the voice of Fi which dwells in the Master Sword. When Fi appeared Epona reared up and Link tried to calm her.

"Sorry Master for scaring Epona." Fi said.

"It's alright Fi it is not your fault." Link responded.

"I have a message from the Goddess Hylia." Fi continued. "She wants you to return the Sword back in it's place because the trial you are about to face you will face it all using magic only."

Link nodded his head. "Thank you for letting me know."

"You're welcome master." She replied as she went back into sword.

I don't even know how to do any magic. He thought.

"Come on Epona we are going to take a little detour." Link said as he turned Epona around. Once he started to head towards the Sacred Grove. He saw something strange. There was a hooded figure. As he walked closer to the figure he noticed that it was a twili. His heart skipped a beat. Can it really be her. He thought as he slowed Epona down near the figure. But as he got closer to her he realized that it wasn't her because Midna was really young compared to the figure that stood in front of him. The figure looked up and stared at him. Link also noticed that it was a female. Maybe she can tell me how I am supposed to complete the trial without a sword. Link thought as he hopped down from his horse. When he got closer to the figure the figure spoke.

"Don't come any closer." She said.

Link obeyed and stopped right where he was.

"Who are you?" Link asked.

"That is not for you to know at this time. For now you can call me Orla."

"My name is..." Link started to say.

"No need for you to tell me your name. Midna has told me all about you." Orla said.

Link looked at her.

"So you actually know Midna." He asked.

Orla nodded her head.

"Yes I know her very well me and her a sort of like sisters."

Link was confused.

"Well of course we're not actually sisters. But we can pass as sisters. Well if I was a lot younger than I am."

"How did you get here because as you probably already know Midna shattered the mirror of twilight." Link asked.

"Well the goddesses that you probably know about sent me here to teach you how to turn into a wolf on your own without the shadow crystal." Orla replied.

Link nodded his head.

"This is the start of your magic training."

"Before I start this training I have to return the sword back in its place." Link replied.

Orla nodded her head. "Okay I will be waiting right here for you to return."

Link hopped back on his horse and headed to the Sacred Grove. Once he got to the Lost Woods he unmounted Epona and walked through the Lost woods on his own this time.

I hope I am able to find where the temple of time once stood. He thought as he made his way through the maze. For what seemed like days he finally found the ruins of the temple of time.

Its about time I finally made it. He thought as he walked up towards the pedestal where he will lay the master sword back until the next hero rises. Once he put it back in the pedestal he turned and he saw Orla again.

"I thought you was going to wait for me back in Faron Woods." Link asked.

"I was but I got bored so I decided to find you." She replied. "So this is what is left of the temple of time. Midna told me that you went through a door and the time was turned back to when the Temple wasn't in ruins."

"Midna pretty much told you everything about me and the journey me and Midna went on together."

Orla nodded her head. "She pretty much told me everything from the moment you first entered into the twilight to the time she broke the mirror."

"Okay then I believe you that she did but for me to be sure I am going to ask you one question."

"Sure ask me anything and I will answer it."

"Who else helped me on mine and Midna's journey."

If she really knows all about my journey she would know that the hero shade also helped me along my quest. He thought.

"That question is easy. I can tell you the answer to that and a little bit more."

"Okay then tell me the answer then." Link asked impatiently.

"The hero's shade helped you along your journey as well. Plus he was disguised as a golden wolf with one red eye."

"So you are going to take me to the twilight realm to see Midna." Link asked.

Orla nodded her head. "Pretty much, well after you complete the beginning of your magic training."

"What kind of magic training am I going to do." Link asked, "I mean am I really able to learn how to use the Twili magic."

"Well the first task that we need to do is we need to go to the forgotten village where Impaz was at."

"So are you going to teleport us there."

Orla shook her head. "No you are going to teleport us there."

Link looked at her. "How am I supposed to do that."

"Consider it the first part of your training. In the Twilight Realm we mainly rely on teleportation to get around unlike around here you rely on horses and carriages. Well sometimes when we are exhausted we also use horses."

"Can you tell me how to do it and I will try to get us there."

Orla rolled her eyes in frustration. "It's pretty easy all you have to do is picture where you would like to go but you have to have it at exactly where you want to go other wise you will teleport to a random place that you have never been to and could possibly be far from where you actually would want to go."

Link nodded and closed his eyes and tried to picture the forgotten village and when he opened his eyes he was disappointed that he wasn't in the forgotten village at all but in Kakariko village.

Link looked to Orla and saw her shaking her head. "See I told you needed an exact picture in your mind to get to where you would want to go."

"Well at least it took me to this Kakariko village because the forgotten village was the old Kakariko village."

Orla looked at him, "Really."

Link nodded his head, "Yes but I will try this again."

Link closed his eyes and this time he appeared at the entrance to the forgotten village. He looked to Orla for approval but noticed that she has some similar characteristics to Midna.

I wonder why she looks so much like Midna. He thought

"What are you thinking about," Orla asked.

"I was just thinking about how you look so much like Midna."

"I'll take that as a compliment." Orla responded, "That isn't going to be the last time that you will be teleporting us places."

"What do we have to do here?"

"Well there is a certain compass that will lead us to your trials to where you will find the keys to the Door of the Eternal King of Twilight." Orla replied. "But you need to use your Twilight Eye to find the compass."

Link looked at her, "So the next thing I need to learn how to do is to turn into a wolf without the help of the shadow crystal."

Orla nodded her head. "But it is not as easy as you think."

One month later

Link looked to Orla expectantly to take him to his trial which the sages called the Trial of Light.

"The Trial of Light takes place in the arbiter grounds where the Mirror of Twilight once stood." Orla said, "So you need to take us there. I will not help you out with the trial for the Goddesses of Hyrule and the Twilight Realm specifically said that you must complete them by yourself."

Link nodded his head as he closed his eyes and pictured the Arbiter's Grounds and when he opened them he was exactly where he wanted to be. Once he arrived the sages appeared.

"Lady Orla of the Twilight Realm is Link ready to take on the Trial of Light," The Fire sage asked.

Orla nodded. "Yes, oh great sages he is ready to take on the Trial of Light."

The Forest sage nodded. "Link the Trial you are about to take on is only an illusion."

"In other words," The Shadow Sage said, "It can still hurt you but it won't kill you."

Link nodded his head. "If I could save Hyrule from Ganondorf then I surely can pass this trial."

The sages just looked at each other.

The Water Sage looked to Link and couldn't help but think about the Hero Of Time the love of her life.

I hope he makes it out of this trial alive so he could be with the love of his life. The Water Sage thought as she watched Link enter the portal to the Trial of Light.

Once Link was gone the Spirit sage looked to Orla.

"I hope you are right about him being ready because if he fails this trial this time he would have to wait an entire two years before he could try it again because we use a lot of our magic to open the Trial of Light and it won't be for another two years before we would have the power to open it again."

"I know that he will succeed on the first try because I trained him."

The Shadow sage looked at her knowing who she truly is.

As Link walked through the portal to the Trial of Light he was wondering what kind of Trials that he would face.

What did the sage mean that this trial was a mere illusion and not real. Link thought.

Once he came out of the portal he found himself inside Hyrule Castle but it wasn't the Hyrule Castle that he knew it seemed like it looked like the one at the time of the Hero of Time. As he walked up the stairs towards the sound of music and once he got there he noticed Zelda in a crystal and he noticed Ganondorf at an organ. All of a sudden the Triforce of Courage appeared on his hand and noticed that the Triforce of Wisdom appeared on Zelda's hand. He expected the Triforce of Power to appear on Ganondorf's hand but it appeared on Zelda's. At that moment the crystal that held Zelda in place shattered. Zelda fell to the floor and Link ran to catch her when he sensed that something wasn't right so he focused his shadow eye and noticed that Zelda was really Ganondorf and the real Zelda that originally had the Triforce of Wisdom was dead on the ground beside him.

"You are too late." Ganondorf said, "Once I kill you I will claim the Triforce and become the ruler over the entire world.

"I don't think so," Link replied. "I will stop you once and for all."

Ganondorf cracked up laughing. "How are you going to defeat me without the Sword of Evil's Bane."

Link summoned a ball of energy and hurled it at Ganondorf but he easily blocked it with a force field.

Thus Link and Ganondorf exchanged magic attacks and blocks until finally Ganondorf was defeated and Link was teleported out of the Trial of Light. Once he appeared back in the Arbiter's Grounds the sages were surprised that Link survived.

"So you actually passed the Trial of Light." The Shadow Sage said as soon as she saw Link.

Link nodded his head. "Yes, but what I had to do was strange."

The Forest Sage looked at him, "What do you mean 'what you had to do was strange."

"Well I had to fight Ganondorf except that it wasn't the same Ganondorf that I fought this one was much younger and not really in control of the Triforce of Power and the Triforce of Wisdom."

"Are you saying that this Ganondorf was the one from the era of the Hero of Time." The Water Sage asked.

Link nodded his head, "Yes, I think that is the case because the Zelda I saw that was dead beside me from where I entered looked like the one from the history books of the Era of the Hero of Time."

"Nevertheless," the Fire sage said. "Since you passed the Trial of Light you may enter through the Door of the Eternal King of Twilight."

"So is it in the forgotten village," Link asked.

Orla shook her head, "No, it is actually in the basement of your house."

Link looked at her, "But, Zant told me that it was in the forgotten village."

"He was actually telling you where the compass actually is." Orla responded, "Well let's head to your basement."

And with that Orla actually teleported them to the basement and Link noticed something different about the mirror and the compass that was in his pocket started glowing a silvery glow.

"Place the compass on the top of the mirror." Orla said

Link followed her directions and the Mirror started to glow and they walked through the mirror.

Finally Midna I am going to see you again. Link thought as the Twilight passed by him.
